  1. I've come to the realization that I don't know how to effectively use my crafting skills to make money. It's like I'm a child who walks into a movie theater halfway into the movie and asks, "What's going on?" Right now I have 3 characters I'm working on and the crew skills look like this: Underworld Trading 400+ Synthweaving 400+ Archaeology 400+ Underworld Trading Scavenging Cybertech Underworld Trading Scavenging Armortech. So far the only thing I've seemed to grasp is that low level to mid level oranges on my synthweaving character can sell for about 3-5k and purples can sell for maybe 2k if I'm lucky. The purples tend not to be worth it, while the oranges are a bit of the profit. I am however sure that I am "Doing it wrong." I can't figure out what I should focus on for synthweaving, cyber, and armor to make any real money. GTN is very unpredictable from my experience and if I want to sell anything, it seems I have to sell for quite low. Can anyone give me any advice?
  2. I'm rather new to PVP. I've played probably a good 50 matches or so, but I'm new in that this is my first MMO of this kind. In fact, it was only about 2 weeks ago when I found out what stacking meant and how to utilize it. Right now I'm an Immortal spec with about 3 points in the other 2 trees. I'm having quite a bit of trouble not dying horribly in most of my matches. What particularly bugs me is that I can barely get any attacks off at all. Usually, I do what I thought a tank jug is supposed to do - throw down my guard on a healer or another character nearby if I dont have a healer on my team and follow them around while trying to stun players nearby or hit them with my force scream to create that damage absorb effect. One thing I've noticed is that as soon as I get near an area where people are duking it out, I get stunned immediately and 2-3 players immediately focus on me and I'm dead in less than 10 seconds. I particularly am getting owned by assassins. I haven't key mapped or anything, but I'm wondering if thats a place to start considering the whole, "Run around me in circles" sort of thing routine that seems to be the dominant trait for most PVP players I run across in WZ. What's fairly obvious to me is that, "I'm doin it wrong." Well, how can I do it right? Advice? Tips? Suggestions? .... Death threats?
  3. I've thought about this very subject myself. The cantinas in this game seem to be useless. (XP bonus doesn't count.) At least in Kotor, there was something to do in them. You could pick up a quest, play a game of pazaak, and do a race. In this game there seems to be no reason to go in one. It's a community killer in my opinion. Can I think of any solutions to this subject? I can, but I don't know how valid or well thought out they might be because of the resources and dev time that would need to go into implementing them. Regardless I'll give it a shot and a quick brainstorm. - Dueling in cantinas with the option of some sort of bet by the participating duelists and/or bets by observing players nearby. - Some kind of community game(s) that can be played in Cantinas. Pazzak from Kotor comes to mind. - Random quests that can be picked up through conversations with NPCs in the cantina to take place in the Cantina itself. (Puzzle related in nature.) -Betting of any kind? Just throwing some ideas out there.
  4. Juggs in my opinion may be better suited for absorbing damage than giving it out. The Immortal tree seems to be a bit better now after the 2.0 patch, but I still find it easy for DPS classes, specifically assassins to really do a number on me in spite of my defensive stats, absorption, shield, ect. One thing I've noticed is that Quinn is a very valuable companion for a Jug. Make sure to invest in him and get him good items. It makes a difference for the dailies, specifically makeb's dailies. By the way, this is my first MMO of this kind, so I'm not sure how valid my opinion is. I'm only mentioning my personal experience so far. I'm pretty sure there are things I'm certainly doing wrong.
  5. Thanks for the input guys. My current character is called "libertarianrp"
  6. So I decided to check this game out once I discovered it had become F2P. About a week later I subscribed, and it seems like that was a solid choice. What I've discovered is that I NEED help. Lots of it. :confused:I've got 2 friends who are going to play and after talking with them a bit about class roles, I decided I'd like to try to be a Juggernaut/Tank. I of course don't know anything about tanking except that I need to draw aggro/keep targets attention on me and use my taunt ability as much as possible. I've done a bit of research into trying to build a pure Tank for later PVP and Flashpoint use. (First time doing PVP was a day or two ago. I got annihilated.) I however can't seem to level my tank effectively and I'm not sure which skill tree I should invest in and what abilities I should pick. When it comes to crew skills, I'm completely lost . I've sent vette on several Treasure Hunt missions, but I don't know what to do with the other skills. The artifice skill I have currently has saber mods I can build which are much worse than the ones I've picked up from quests and loot. I've heard slicing is a good way to make money, which is something I desperately need. So to sum it up regarding crew skills: Help!!! Someone in one of the general chats mentioned I should get myself in a guild. I however have no idea of what guild I should join or would let me join. So if any of you would be willing to take me under your wing, I'd greatly appreciate it and attempt to return the favor once I establish myself in the "non suckage department". I currently have a level 22 Sith Warrior Juggernaut I'm using. Tips? Advice? Comments? ..... Death threats? Im in the Shadowlands Server btw.
