  1. This is my point. You should not be able to afk while fighting a final supposed badass boss. That is all im asking for, not dark souls.
  2. I see enough support for the idea that the games leveling process should be at least a little harder so you have to at least use abilities. I know many many people agree with this take. Yeah I am being a little demanding, because I think it is insanity that you can auto attack class story content till its dead with no threat of ever dying because of companion heals. It ruins every gear upgrade, it ruins every bit of power increase, it ruins class fantasy and it ruins the vibe the game USED to have before a level 10 could pull 20 mobs and survive. Its bad game design period. I meant it when I said there is nothing you can say that will change my mind. I see it as lazy and foolish to leave the game in this state.
  3. Idc if they do that, thats fine. What you seem to think are my "true reasons" are not accurate. I just like a challenge.
  4. The entire point of my insistence that it shouldn't be that there is a harder optional mode, is that the product as a whole is suffering. The game is genuinely not as fun, winning is not as meaningful and some of the core systems are entirely redundant and useless. The product is being HURT by it being this easy by default. Perhaps a story mode can be available for those who want to tone it down due to maybe physical limitations or just in general for those who are, lets face it, extraordinarily bad at video games, but the truth is, many people I know refuse to even play because of how mind numbingly boring it is, including my wife, who is NOT a hardcore gamer. She's extremely casual and has never reached max level in any mmo and it is literally so boring and easy to play through the story with 0 challenge that fatigue sets in and people quit, she quit. Perhaps the story mode as it is now can be made in to an optional thing that gives far less rewards or levels you slower than default or something, but the current progression pace should be matched with a more difficult mode and that is my honest opinion. I could be satisfied by a harder mode that gives better rewards, but overall I think the DEFAULT mode should be harder. I genuinely believe the product is suffering, newcomers leave because of it and it is far too insulting to the player. Challenge in gaming is DESIRED by 90% of the market. Maybe not extreme challenge, but a degree of challenge. You should occasionally die and not because you pulled the ENTIRE ZONE and afk'd for 3 minutes. Dungeons(flashpoints) in this game have even turned in to people speed running the entire thing, line of sighting and aoeing down every single mob like it is nothing. The entire experience is suffering and people are acting like it's fine cuz the game is about story. No. No it is not fine. The class stories are the BACKBONE of the onboarding experience and they need to be fixed.
  5. exactly, its a poor way to present the product, well said.
  6. What I am saying is that it is so easy it is not even a game. You literally could theoretically auto attack every enemy in the story to death. There is no argument you can make that justifies it being this easy. I am all for an "easy" mode, but this is too easy, to the point of it being boring and gives absolutely 0 sense of satisfaction when an enemy is defeated beyond the story implications. I am not even suggesting it be super hard, I would love that though, I am simply suggesting it should actually be necessary to use even a single ability on your bar to defeat the final boss in the story. Nothing anyone can say is going to convince me otherwise. It is detracting from the experience, even for those who want it to be easy, for it to be THAT easy.
  7. It's very clear that my argument stands. People would like this to be a thing, it's just been people disagreeing about how to go about it or if it is even possible. Idk if I agree with it being optional. The entire point is for it to add to the satisfaction of success. The only way this could be optional is if they differentiate the rewards, in which case I would be fine with it being optional, but as things stand, and as I said before, the game is so damn easy you can literally fall asleep while in combat and wake up still in combat(though i'd imagine you'd get afk kicked). That is just terrible.
  8. Yeah this is my exact point, swtor is suffering from years of updates making it worse. The game used to be challenging at least occasionally, now you can pull the entire zones worth of mobs and aoe them down without a second thought. Horrible class power creep with no pve stat padding to compensate.
  9. It's completely dead at night on satele shan, it's horrible. I would damn near do anything to move my legacy to star forge. I am frequently on at night.
  10. Yeah, frequently I do this, but knowing I am limiting myself and others can progress faster etc, really bothers me. I am not some elitist player who NEEDS to be the most effecient and/or best, but it would simply be an all around better experience to not have to do this. Also I really like having my companion with me, for story, they interject in conversation and speak in the world and in general its just nice to have them around. And getting gear is a huge element of mmos, removing that entirely from the leveling experience by playing naked is just as intrusive, this issue is actually massive and has been overlooked for far too long.
  11. This has gone too far. You are genuinely hurting your game. No one wants it to be this easy. Something has to be done and it is within the development team's ability to change. Please. People love to return to swtor and play these stories on occasion, making this content more fun and challenging would like reward the dev's with a more interested and committed fanbase who are more likely to continue playing. It is SO easy rn that even the most casual of players could not possibly struggle at any point, ever. You can auto attack everything to death. You can go to sleep facing away from an enemy and it will literally attack you all night long while your companion heals you. This is unacceptably lazy. Even veteran flashpoint difficulty has you not losing any health due to companion heals. Yes. I could limit myself artificially to have more fun, which uh, ruins the fun. Players should not have to limit themselves to give even a semblance of challenge. Rewards do not feel earned, power does not feel like power. Weakness is impossible. There is 0 argument to be made that it should remain this way. Consider a large update revamping combat difficulty in the game, or you will forever be relegated to being a boring leveling experience. To be fair, the stories are great, which is where people get their fun, but the combat in between these cut scenes could be so much more. Swtor plays well, it is genuinely fun, SHOW that to the player during their leveling experience and maybe they will stick around longer than 30 levels.
  12. I have been waiting since their release to play a Nautolan. Their hair bugs out like crazy, especially on jedi because of the stance. Please just fix this finally. Some of us would really like to try them out and those of us who purchase them to only find this out later are left massively disappointed. It's a bug that has just been entirely overlooked foreverrrrr. Thanks. :]
  13. It would be SO easy for them to fix this I am just furious. I've always wanted to play it.
  14. Its long passed time for you guys to fix their hair glitching on jedi cuz of their stances. Please. Just make it so people actually play this race, they dont for this reason. It is completely broken and ruined and has been since day one. One of you great people working for SWTOR just please save us.
  15. Recently found these. Beautifully done, not sure where to share them but figured this community would enjoy!
  16. I don't think the devs created this section of the forum for what you are doing.
  17. What is with your desire to shoot the idea down anyway? Do you honestly believe that the devs should focus on the absolutely minimum in coding requirements instead of pursuing a valuable update to the game? I wasn't demanding, I was suggesting. I do know how hard it can be to code even simple things, but their engine at this point should be modular enough to accept changes like this rather easily. That isn't me saying it can be done overnight as your passive aggressiveness would suggest.
  18. Lmao, like you know what the engine looks like. You completely missed the point of me saying shouldn't in parenthesis. Passive aggressiveness is really annoying. I intentionally tried to avoid your exact comment from appearing here and lone behold it is the first.
  19. I would love to see the current creature and droid companions be expanded to allow customization and a more complex system of growing and caring for your creature, partnered with the reduction of personal stats while using one but the bolstering of the creatures stats in return, we could see something similar to the SWG-era creature handler. This would not be hard to do and I think it would rake in some serious sub numbers if done right. The key is it being usable in pvp, ops etc. This needs to become a branching path that you can send your character on, not just a mini game. Granted the balancing would be complicated at first, the actually coding required wouldn't(shouldn't) be impossible.
  20. I use winauth with no trouble, I wonder what the real cause of this is...
  21. This wont work because in order to refer you have to be a sub and if you sub you can't click a referral link until you have been preferred or f2p for 90 days.
  22. I have had major success playing the gtn, buy and sell, found a blade savant set for 100k earlier.
