  1. Well how about we ask the developers, then? Hey guys, if you're listening: prove one of us wrong! Or right...
  2. It could mean that. Are you talking about the Inquisitor?
  3. No...the solution is to use an entirely different set of abilities that are unique to the ocean environment and completely unrelated to the ones in game now.
  4. Writers in videogames are usually very careful about making sure they do not unwittingly telegraph a game system to players through in-game cutscenes, codex entries, or any of the other means through which they relate story. To have two separate creative departments agree and give the got-to for the use of these "oceanic allusions" is about as far from happenstance as it gets. I'm sorry, but anyone who fails to realize this isn't quite with the program.
  5. Wait, I may have just realized something... What if these new Flashpoints that are coming out had actually been originally a part of the HK-51 quest lines? The more I think about it the more it make sense.
  6. Oh, well. I guess if the screaming obviousness of it all is *still* lost on you, then there's nothing I can do it about it. Let me guess: hard-numbers type of guy. Data-analytics? Actuary? Whatever the case, we are worlds apart, my friend...
  7. It references "problems in Hutt Space and Denova', which is at the very least an obvious reference to the Karagga's Palace and Explosive Conflict operations. So yeah, we can prove that the Black Hole crisis takes place after those two events based on that alone. But that's not the point. The point is that a player who has yet to run any of these Operations (MOST players) will have no frame of reference for what the General is going on about.
  8. Funny. I could almost swear you're still not entirely convinced Ord Mantell was originally designed to have water-related systems. It's almost as if... Nah.
  9. Jesus guys, it's OPTIONAL! Same way you can choose to have nameplates or not.
  10. Also, if you're curious, the Smuggler video: (starts at around 12:56)
  11. It's alluded to, not explicitly referenced. Here's the video link for a refresher: (starts at around 15:30) "you'll have to make an amphibious approach"
  12. What more do you want? I mean, if NPCs on both the Trooper's and Smuggler's class-quests explicitly referring to the existence of something, which then turns out NOT to exist, doesn't suggest that that something was at some point or other intended to be included in the game, then I don't know what will.
  13. How about scrolling up in the thread if you're so curious. Jeez, doesn't anybody ever read these things?
  14. I'll give you an example of how continuity is jumbled and not nearly as cut and dry as you might think it is: did you know the events that take place in the Black Hole dailies are AFTER the Karagga's Palace, Explosive Conflict, and possibly even then Scum and Villainy Operations? Take a look at this video, right around the 1:00 mark: Now that you've seen it for yourself, I'm sure you'll agree with me that the General's line concerning the problems in Hutt Space and Denova would make very little sense for a player who had not yet run those Operations.
  15. I'm too tired to explain this properly, but you wouldn't be forced to do every single side quest in order to keep within the continuity of the game's overarching story, because the overwhelming majority of the side quests are stand-alone, unconnected.
  16. Of course it will piss off a few people in these forums, what doesn't? But having this kind of diversity in the game is essential, especially in its early stages, as it's exactly the kind of thing that helps attract and retain new players.
