  1. Wanting to RP with a Devaronian, I had to make a Sith and add in a backstory to explain the loss of his horns. OK, that was fun, but why not sell a Devaronian headpiece? That would allow others to create a species at little cost to the developers. Then, chatting with a friend, we thought of other modifications that might be done either as "armour" or, perhaps, on the appearance customisation system that would allow you create your own alien. For example, long tusks. If you can put a toothpick in a character's mouth, why not tusks? Who wouldn't love to run a sabertoothed Cathar? Weird eyes, ears, etc. A headpiece of writhing snakes ala Medusa? Even thinking of it has brought joy to my heart. Pretty please? At least the horns!
  2. Love the format and the things on sale. I especially like the cape/no cape option. So many times I've fallen for an armour set but been deterred by a single feature that was a deal-breaker, almost always either a hood or a OTT shoulder pad. Anything you do to make those optional would be greatly appreciated. I know I'm far from alone in wishing them away to suit my characters better.
  3. While we are on the subject, I understand that the e-motes that are unavailable but visible on the menu are relics of by-gone special offers. Might they be made available again?
  4. I also have HK and enjoyed the bit of story that granted his company. I'm all for letting people have access to it! It was a fun little chapter, and it would be a pity for it to go to waste. Personally, it wouldn't bother me in the least if it was just made available to all--other people's enjoyment doesn't dent mine. After all, early access is often given as a reward in this game, and it's been one hell of a long period of early access! But making it a reward for six months or even a year as a subscriber would seem to please those who feel a bit cheated, so by all means do that! Just don't let it go to waste. No one is served by that.
  5. I so agree with a GSF training area--one that allows you to try and hit rapidly moving targets. I've never got the hang of that and really don't like holding my group back while I learn. That said, I am looking forward to 6.0! I love how you are giving your players an increasingly active role in the creation of the game we play. The ability to tweak our gear to suit our style sounds wonderful! I've watched as each new patch adds something to the game--better graphics, more depth of characterisation (yes, Darth Malgus, I'm looking at you), and surprising "throw-away" things to discover such as a bird's nest with eggs or an unexpected loot chest in an area on Ossus where few players would ever be. Not to mention the ability to design personal PvP areas, transform into a Wookie or a Hutt (temporarily) or permanently become a Nautolan (high on my wish list). I think you are doing wonderful things, indeed, and am confident September will exceed my already high expectations. Speaking of tweaking gear, I have one request. A covert head armour piece. If you can make hoods disappear with a narrow head band, why not with an invisible one? Oh! and an e-mote for leaning against something with arms crossed. We will get the hang of it just as we learn to sit on chairs. These little things would mean a lot!
  6. A certain Darth whom I have to take as my companion while on Ossus Imp side refuses to heal even if set to that. OK, it's in character, but.... While on Ossus, either side, I understand that, while doing the class story, I am restricted to your choice of companion. But why can't I have the others gathering and/or crafting at that time? But I also want to say I've really enjoyed the story on both sides. The NPC characterisations are well crafted and worked into the story. The area is so intriguing that I am not using my mounts so I can check it all out in detail. Well done! I am so looking forward to 6.0 now. I know I have a long wait, but all the elements of great storytelling are there in this prelude.
  7. The higher numbers of characters to be killed would be too much if it were like the present rampage where your only purpose on that planet is to kill your quota. If, under this new system, you chose to repeat a chapter, it would be hard not to kill 250 enemies. Run a flashpoint? or an Ops (if kills in Ops count)? Again, 250 would be easily reached. I, for one, like adding purpose to the rampage--and the chance for variety as well. I think in practice this will turn out to be a wonderful change to conquest.
  8. Some warning of shutting down the servers would be greatly appreciated! It happened while I was downloading the PTS. When I first tried to install it, I still had the Rishi PTS program in place, and this caused the computer to freeze. Getting rid of the old program fixed that (and it would be a good idea to inform people that this would be the case--many of us have little expertise). Then, just when I thought the new download was complete, it announced that there was a mistake in the program and it was going to fix. That fix froze my computer and damaged an important Windows 10 file, requiring a reinstallment of Windows 10. Yes, big hassles! I understand the urgency and that you were probably not aware of what the consequences could be, especially to a computer troglodyte like me. But even I know something bad can happen when the server is shut down in the middle of a download! Warning is essential.
  9. I am eager to test Ossus, but I cannot download the patch. I never deleted the PTS patch for the Rishi SH. Could that be interfering? It gets as far as Main assets 286, 66%, then everything freezes. No other programs on my computer work properly at that time--terrible lag (we're talking minutes between clicking on a program and it opening if it doesn't time out altogether). Any suggestions? If I need to delete the old PTS files, where can I find them or what are their names. I don't want to delete the entire game by accident!
  10. Yes, please! Spending hours popping coins into a slot machine (and then coming up with no Certs) is not fun game play. Command Crates could use a goody-boost. Win-win, right?
  11. All the RP'ers in my Guild want one emote above all others: arms crossed and leaning against whatever wall is handy. Yes, positioning a character would take a bit of skill, but we've learned to perch our characters on barstools without their derrieres floating in space (most of the time, anyway), so we could learn this. Arms crossed with your character's weight more on one leg than the other (the way most people stand, it seems) would be useful when no wall is handy and easier to execute. Pretty please?
  12. I and my friends have been laughing helplessly as we play with these disguise terminals. They are wonderful! Kudos to everyone for making them. Jawa would also be my choice for the next one. And I know someone who has been moaning because he has come up with a Rodian character that he can't make for RP purposes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  13. I, for one, want to thank you for delaying the Double XP for a week. The alts we want to test out new content with may not be the ones who need the Double XP. This way works much, much better. Thanks!
  14. Yes, yes, yes. A possible romance--surely they could manage some sort of time together!
  15. It has to be legacy base--Speedy is like a deco, and your decorations don't change when you change the characters you are on. I agree, if you get the title, you must lose Speedy and enjoy Scritchy I'm just peeved that I lost Speedy and didn't get the title. One or the other. Or is this a case of crime not paying?
  16. I killed him, didn't get the title. Submitted bug report. Within a few days, Speedy was back! Scritchy and his crate had been returned to Odessan. Decided to keep him and do without the title. Well, the next day Scritchy and his crate were back and Speedy was again a pile of bones. Guess he developed a taste for turtle. And I still don't have that title. (Yes, bug reports have been made.) Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be horrible. Sigh.
  17. Last night, I ventured onto my Rishi SH beach. I searched high and low for the remains of poor Speedy. Had that unfortunate turtle now fallen prey to body snatchers? A green name tag became visible at the end of the beach. Something about it drew me toward it. Yes! It was Speedy, happily frolicking on the sands, a benign, oblivious smile on his sweet face. He had been resurrected! Kudos to the powers of the SWTOR Bug Extermination Team! You wield powerful magic, indeed! Alas, I will have to do without that title still. No, no problem with the game. I just can't bring myself to kill Speedy a second time. My Horrible Nature has its limits!
  18. I have clicked the bones, offered up funereal incantations, and (perhaps more importantly) received acknowledgement that I have earned the achievement. But I didn't do it just for the achievement. I did it for the title. Don't let Speedy have died in vain!: (Bad enough he died for vanity.)
  19. I've been horrible. Speedy is a pile of bones and shell on the beach, a glimpse of which fills me with guilt. Another beastie is running there instead. All for a title that I didn't actually get! I know some of you will say "Serves you right!" but I do want that title for my legacy. Pretty please???
  20. First, thank you so much for all the changes you've made to the Rishi SH. Although i didn't set out a lot of decorations , I was checking out the hooks and deciding how to use the various areas--this is going to be one brilliant SH for RP! But, what I appreciate more than anything else, is the way the development team took on the comments of the players. I know that an immense effort went into making adjustments and adding the Overlook. It was brilliant seeing the players recognise that they were, indeed, being listened to. I hope that PTS is used as much s possible in the future. As far as this SH is concerned, it has been far more than a simple bug-tester. More a creative collaboration. But bug testing can't be ignored. The explosion that unlocks the cave, etc., is wonderfully dramatic. But it was repeated every time I entered the area and the sub-areas within. This would get annoying rather quickly, and I'm sure it's unintended. On the bright side, after toggling PvP on and off a few times as you advised, it worked perfectly. And I'm very pleased to ride my mounts everywhere without getting dumped onto the ground. Thank you again! I have such plans brewing for this.
  21. Most of my comments have been already made by others. One, though, remains, and the silence of others makes me wonder if this is a glitch that just affects my character. I can now bravely ride a mount into an open PvP area and stay on board. I can also mount up in that area even if the gates are locked. But, if I try to exit a PvP area, I am unceremoniously dumped by my mount. An annoyance. I do want to thank you so much for the efforts you have made to bring this SH up to players' expectations/desires. Although I am sad you cannot provide the cantina/house some players want, your willingness to listen and your responsiveness have been remarkable. I especially like that, in this SH, we can actually create options of game-play to suit ourselves. For some time now, players have demanded a Rishi SH, but they failed to say which Rishi should be featured--Raider's Cove is not the same as the jungle areas. I suspect that either choice would have brought on objections.
  22. I agree with other posters that there must be a way to get CM Certificates other than buying hypercrates and hoping for the best! Even list them as a direct purchase item, if you like, or let them drop from the slot machines or whatever. I'm not fussy. I just want to have access to them.
  23. Love the changes you've made to the SH. Thank you so much for the PTS and for your quick responses to our comments. I came across a few glitches: The speeder bike at the north end of the Sky Deck isn't working Both mounts and companions are banished from the training room on the ship You can now ride a mount into the PvP area next to the landing deck, but you lose it when you leave. And you can still use a mount if you get on in the PvP area, even with the gates shut. But you've really turned this SH into something that will be fun to play with. Thanks again!
  24. It being after midnight here, I only stayed for two matches. With a time set for people to play, there was very little wait for a pop for either. I'm only a sporadic PvP'er and have yet to get the hang of Huttball, so my comments on that are very, very slim. I didn't encounter any problems with the area, and play seemed to run well. As for the Mando Arena, I loved the layout. The curving structures offered all sorts of Line of Sight challenges and possibilities without hampering movement and flow. For some reason, play started with four on our side and only two on the other. I'm sure they noticed the problem, too. Normally, I don't care much for arena contests, but this is one I want to try again and again.
  25. I'm hoping some of the weekend sessions can start earlier. I am in Ireland, so might come in at the start, but would like to do more. Helping as much as I can with the testing seems the least I can do. You keep pushing the boundaries the game these days. Listening more to us--and responding. Creating boss battles that are awesome in difficulties and mechanics (maybe a little too awesome--any way for an easier starter level so even we, the ham-fisted, can enjoy them?). Copero gave new insight to the Chiss, and I hope to see more of them in the future. Nathema floored me with its graphics. And now a SH that features flexibility and new activities in it. I want to see where this takes the game. If the PTS helps iron out the inevitable glitches or allows us to help create a SH that works for more people, count me in! Thank you!
