  1. We are a pub guild but we do have an imp sister guild, however growing that one is not the focus as of right now
  2. Hello everyone. <Galactic Overwatch> is a new guild with big ambitions. The goal is to create a community of people who participate in Conquest, PvP, and Hard/NiM mode ops. First and foremost, the goal is for people to have fun. Message me for more info.
  3. I have not had access to Torian on most characters for almost a year now because of this and haven't even had as much as an acknowledgement from BW from my bug reports.
  4. I've had this issue since February, haven't heard anything about the tickets or posts I made.
  5. It's been 6 months and the companion locator terminal is still bugged, not returning Torian to KotET players, and now there's problems with Trial and Error uprising, and the companion running has been bugged since I believe 4.0. I'm really excited for 5.4 and the game ahead, but right now the game is so bug ridden, that I implore the devs to shift gear a bit and handle the issues that are plaguing players currently before moving on to upcoming content. Like I said, I'm really excited for what is still to come, but I'd much rather have current problems fixed now and wait a bit longer for new content.
  6. Ideally, I'd like that too. Unfortunately Bioware has finite resources, which is why they've sort of gone through phases where they're focused on one thing at a time (pvp, pve, story, etc.) I would love it if every companion got a proper re introduction to the characters instead of a "woah I thought you were dead, well since you're here do you mind helping me with this thing real quick before I got take a seat on Odessan?" I don't mind being patient as long as the characters' returns are justifiable and make sense, but really the only thing I want to know at this point is whether or not they have an eta on the next comp return.
  7. So I know this has been asked 100 times "when is my favorite companion returning," and as we've been told, they want to write our companions back into the story asap. My question for the devs at this point is, do you have any eta on when the next companion might be returning, not being specific on whom? Back with KotFE we were getting companions back just about every month, but since Fallen Empire launched, I'm pretty sure Elara and Quinn are the only ones to have made a return in 8 months. I'm not asking about any specific companions, but I haven't heard about any companions being teased for 5.4, so how long will we be waiting for the next companion to return. Not asking for a specific date "5.5 will see the return of Mako" or anything like that, just asking if there's a general idea of how many months it'll be until another familiar face pops up.
  8. Yeah that's what I kinda thought. They seem to have quite a bit of stuff in the pipe and a stream before 5.4 would be a welcome little way to tease the stronghold, maybe show the opening cutscene of the new fp with like 5 minutes of gameplay. Just a thought, but I do miss these streams.
  9. Are there currently any plans to bring back the streaming similar to what was going on during KotFE? I can't remember the last time there's been a dev stream and I'm kinda missing those little monthly talks we got with Musco and company. I know given recent changes, the "dream team stream team" might have a slightly updated roster, but I am hoping that we can see those streams make a return. Those half hour talks about what we can expect coming up were a really fun interaction within the community. Plus with those giveaways I might actually have a chance of getting Mischief and Anarchy, .
  10. Well my idea would be to set it up right at the start that the companion is either a force or tech companion, and then decide what time of primary weapon they'd use.
  11. I don't usually bump threads but it's been a while since I had brought up this idea and just wanted to see if any new people had any interest in this idea. With the communication improvements between the devs and the community, maybe they'd be able to say if this is even possible or not.
  12. The entire "who betrayed the alliance?" suggestion is most likely intended to be a red herring. All of our evidence for a traitor comes from Tyth, whom we only interact with for like, 60 seconds, and who is extremely vague in his wording. Let's analyze specifically what he says concerning a potential traitor. "You had no choice, you were LURED here." "You did not see the blade to your neck." "The rage in your shadow, the traitor." "You are BETRAYED." "One marked by anger. Pain. Hope, eroding." "THE BETRAYER lured you to Iokath." The only line here that specifically implies someone has betrayed us is the line "You are betrayed," however, Tyth's wording is very careful. Do we know anyone in this game who might also be known as "The Betrayer?" Yes this is another "It's Malgus" post but let's present the evidence and look at how the writers were trying to be clever with the wording here. As I already said, Tyth's phrasing is meant to imply that there's a traitor in our midst, but what did we really get from him. "You were lured here." Literally anybody could have done that. "The rage in your shadow, the traitor." This line of dialogue is a bit more ambiguous but the wording does not MEAN this is someone we are close to within the alliance, this dialogue actually seems more suggestive of an assassin or individual who's carefully watching the alliance. "You are BETRAYED." This line is clearly there for us to begin theorizing who in the alliance may be responsible for what's all going on, but seeing as how Tyth later refers to this individual as "The Betrayer," this line has a bit more of a broad meaning. "One marked by anger. Pain. Hope eroding." All of these can apply to Malgus. We effectively shut him down years ago only to become an independent superpower in the galaxy ourselves. Malgus has plenty of reason to be bitter at us and considering how much he's been through, the part about "hope eroding" certainly does apply. Finally, let's not forget that there is a deleted scene that Bioware released showing Malgus in carbonite. As I recall correctly, they chose to not "officially" release that scene because they felt it would detract from the fallen empire content, but that was some time ago, and they've had the Malgus card for some time now, perhaps they're ready to play it. Like I said I know Malgus has been suggested a lot but many people just reason "because it's unoriginal" or "just because they can," not really an argument based off of the evidence as seen in game. I hope I managed to convince at least a handful of people here that we will soon see the return of the TRUE hero of the Empire.
  13. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/DC-17m_Interchangeable_Weapon_System I feel like this would be a give me for the cartel market. It has a rifle, sniper rifle, and a pistol that all somewhat resemble each other, the only thing that is missing here is an assault cannon, but I don't imagine it'd be too difficult to make one built around this general design concept.
  14. I NEED some type of armor in game resembling this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Katarn-class_commando_armor
  15. So for the past few months, whenever I try to resummon Torian from the companion terminal, instead of being returned to my available companions list, my current companion leaves and Master Ranos appears instead. I can only assume that she kidnapped him some time in February, and is "dissuading" me from locating him. It's been several months now and I am quite concerned that Ranos has not been treating her captive well. Or he's taking an unauthorized vacation and he got Ranos to cover for him, Alliance security really does need to do a better job of ensuring everyone is showing up for work.
  16. I actually liked the different gameplay features they added. I'm sorry some people like exclusively doing the same type of thing over and over even when something different would make sense in terms of the story. That being said, I do dislike how buggy the walker is in chapter 8. I don't know why but that chapter is ALWAYS laggy as hell and it makes running through it really painful, but other than that, these new gameplay modes are pretty great.
  17. So I know you guys said you want proper feedback on what kind of changes we'd like to see with stuff like galactic command and other stuff, within reason and with justification. Personally, I think the cap for galactic command is just too high for the average player, and is really what's contributing to the problem of gearing up alts. RNG is a problem in of itself and you guys have addressed that, which is good, but the average player is most likely not going to get more than one character to a command rank of 300. I'm definitely not average in terms of time spent in the game and characters created, (35 currently), and 300 is just absurdly high. I know the cap can't be reduced since some people have already hit that, but for the average player, it's insanely high, and that's from someone who puts in a lot more time than the average player. I really don't have a solution for this, but I feel like this is the main thing contributing to people complaining that the game is very alt-unfriendly at the moment, and is something that should be reduced in the future. 200 is a lot more reasonable and much easier to reach on multiple toons.
  18. I was a member for a while before taking a break from the game, I'm already a member on enjin, do I need to re-apply and who do I talk to?
  19. Yeah, need to defrost Malgus to start 6.0
  20. 1. So from what I understand, after Ziost he reached his power quota. After Ziost, he believed he had enough power to essentially be a god, and it was time to move into the next phase of his plan. He viewed Zakuul as his only true success, so it’s likely he would have spared Zakuul and used them to populate the rest of the galaxy. 2. We know that he was able to split his consciousness which allowed him to exist in multiple parts of the galaxy at once. We really don’t see anything of Zakuul during the emperor’s nappy time, so it’s possible he was inactive for a time in Zakuul as well. 3. The only explanation for this one that I can think of is that he no longer had full control over any one body. His original body and his Valkorion body have both been destroyed, leaving his spirit form with no place to anchor itself. 4. He sort of directly answers this question in chapter 2. Leaving behind the Sith Empire “allowed him to experience pleasures he previously denied himself.” He most likely changed his focus to benevolence after the assassination attempt in the Revan novel. He realized that just by virtue of Sith nature, he would never truly be worshiped like he wanted. Coming to Zakuul and ruling over them as the “immortal master and protector” gave him exactly what he wanted, devotion and worship. 5. He was only in spirit form. We don’t know how the planet affected him in his physical form but, seeing as how he’s still a living being, it’s not unreasonable to assume he would still feel some of the effects of the planet, but being in spirit form and “weakened” as I mentioned earlier, it makes sense that the planet would mess with him. 6. a. Charles specifically answered this question in a tweet, while we were busy stopping the Emperor’s ritual in the vanilla game, he was secretly using the fleet to cause extra deaths to fuel his own power, it is unlikely the citizens of Zakuul were aware of this. b. I’ve got nothing. c. Not sure what you mean that he didn’t recognize Marr and the character immediately. He very quickly acknowledges who we are and offers both Marr and us the option to be a part of his plans.
  21. Malgus. Just trust me on this one.
  22. This. EXACTLY this. People seem to forgot that at the time of the movies, the Jedi and Sith hadn't been at war for 1000 years. There was no conflict for 1000 years and for the most part, force users sort of lost their touch. In this era, there's war every few decades, and it's kill or be killed. Force users are typically more powerful in this era because they have to be. There are so many more force users and so much more conflict that the Jedi and Sith are forced to be stronger.
  23. I don't really think Valkorion inherited Vaylin's weakness when he absorbed her spirit, but your character had an ironic sense of how to handle the situation. Up until the point where Valkorion destroy's the holocron, that was the plot devise you had against him. Once Valkorion destroyed it, your character had to find a way out of the situation, and then basically realized this was a dream world. Not only was this a dream world it was HIS/HER dream world, and as such, he/she could just make up rules. In this instance, the Outlander decided, "hey, you know how you were so terrified of your daughter becoming so powerful that you broke her mind to the point she basically lost her ability to use the force when you uttered a specific phrase? Well, here's a taste of that medicine." Notice that phrase does nothing to Vaylin at this point, highlighting that she is truly free, and your character can even tell Vaylin, "look at your father trapped in the cage he built for you." So, in a nutshell, your character basically realized that he/she could win just because of where this battle is taking place, and he/she decided to win in an ironic way.
  24. No. That's it. The force simply is, and light and dark are more like "methods" of using the force. The force itself does not have sides, it does not take sides, it simply is, and it has a will. The force is a cosmic entity that is responsible for binding the galaxy (I supposed we could add universe since this is Star Wars) together, it doesn't have the moral compass of a 5 year old. Light side and Dark side could best be described as methods of using the force, using it for selfless purposes, or selfish purposes. The force really doesn't really care how mortals use the force (unless they do something that goes directly against the force's "laws" like plagueis and sidious did) but it's always pushing for there to be a balance in good and bad in the galaxy, an equaling between life and death, etc.
