  1. Last time i checked you have to accept those only once (just after install), now i have to accept end user access and licence agreement and terms of use etc. every time i want to play the game. Not like its a game breaking issue, but it is very annoying. Such requirement doesnt really make any sense.
  2. TTK is definitely too long, thanks to power creep (in terms of defenses) that is happening since years. It started with enraged defense rework back in the 2014, but snowballed with last two expansions. Some classes have so many defensive tools that player can feel overloaded with options. Sniper and mercenary are prime examples, mercenary especially. Class that is supposed to be played as ranged, can just sit in melee and pop cooldown after cooldown. Responsive Safeguards has to be most ridiculous cooldown ever introduced in this game (reflect, heal and usable while stunned on top of that).
  3. Its like they only know extremes. Either only win requirment, super long and legacy-wide lockout (***?) which turn on even if u dc, no map selection or nothing. Same with balancing classes: heavy nerfs or overbuffs. Concept of middleground is not known in Bioware i guess. The most funny thing is regs are even worse than before (than ever, actually). People ignore objectives same as in the past, but it seems like pug these days are only clueless newbies. Combine that with overload of stuns, roots, slows and ridiculous amount of defensive cds and you have pretty dreadful experience. At least compared to what we used to have. You can rework it, like for example: greatly reduce lockout duration (5 min is max imo), make it only character-wide, give people opportunity to leave warzone at the beginning without punishment and for a love of God give us option to choose map we queue for (or at least type of map, like for example huttballs in one bracket, novare and civil war in other). If reworking is too demanding for you, just remove it from regs. But at least do something.
  4. Idea of removing solo ranked is wrong. It would be the same mistake as removing 8vs8 ranked was. There are dozens of people playing and enjoying yolos. Despite it many major flaws that mode throughout all seasons has been the most successful end game pvp. Erasing solos would make many people, including sobie of the best pvpers, quit problaby forever (same as removing 8vs8 did back then). Removing content shouldnt be in generaln considered as a valid solution. Doesnt matter if that content has serious problems since its launch. But if i would absolutely have to sacrfice some of current system to make place for old rwz, it would be group arenas. they have failed to acomplish their main goal to be a pinnacle of swtor end game pvp, where best well-organised teams would compete. Truth is rwz had way more players and big dedicated guilds involved. RWZ streams were also much more popular. In my opinion, there is no doubt that overall group ranked arenas can be considered a failure. BW justyfied swaping them with rwz by population issues (in theory its much easier to get going 4man group than 8man). But after so many years we can clearly see that was a mistake.
  5. I believe there were more dedicated teams playing 8vs8 than 4vs4. Group ranked arenas except maybe season 1 have been always very niche. You must also remember that few months before BW removed rwz they also allowed paid server transfers. I dont know how exactly it was in America since im EU player, but whole guilds transfered back then from progenitor and red eclipse to tofn for sole reason: to participate in rwz. People spent a lot of real money. And two months later BW announced they are removing rwz. Imagine how people felt... Another thing is what Razmir said, classes that had their uses in warzones suddenly became total trash in ranked arenas. For example, operative healer was pretty much only viable option untill 3.0. If you were maining sorc healer you could just delete your character.
  6. 8vs8 rwz actually worked in this game for more than a year before Bioware suddenly decided to kill them. And guess what - there were a lot more dedicated pvp guilds back then than ever after. So i dont really understand your argument since it contradicts facts. Your points about balance can be said about every other mode in the game. But to be fair its far more complicated to balance things when you have: - end game pve - solo ranked arenas - group ranked arenas (diffrent meta than yolos, espiecially compared to 4 dps vs 4 dps setup) - warzones than just: - end game pve - warzones.
  7. Maybe not remove entirely leadboards, but rework how they look and work. People should just gain points which can be aquired by doing dmg, healing, protection and objectives. There is no actual reason to show how much dps/hps people did. People are number farming because numbers are the first thing that pop up on boards and are their most noticeable contribution. Gaining objective points should be way more rewarding. It blows my mind how someone who is guarding a nod for enitre game (basically sacrificing himself for a team) can get less medals than someone who is just derping in mid. This, combined with combat system which encourages mindless spam of abilites (dot spread...) makes objective-focused play not rewarding enough.
  8. Since i have returned to the game (december), roughly 90% warzones i get are either old hutball or anicent hypergate.
  9. First of all, i want to say that i like an idea of deserter lockout. Combined with daily/weekly rewards rework it is a quite decent incentive for more objective-focused gameplay. But how it currently works in regs is ridiculous. 15 min and legacy-wide (***?) is waaaaaay too much, especially if you consider things like crashes, lost connection or 5 pits/ancient hypergate in a row (personally i love old huttball but hate AH - point is people dont enjoy certain maps) Make it 5 min long and remove legacy-wide lockout. It would be a good compromise.
  10. Well i never said that eso login rewards are amazing, but compared to swtor they look decent. - purple tri-stat potions few times in a month. Very good stuff, perfectly viable in pvp (on most builds best option in fact) - gold poisons - decent purple food (also perfectly viable in end game) - experience scrolls (in eso also boost skill lines leveling) - riding lessons (very useful on new chars) - 5.000 to 100.000 gold which is decent amount of money (you can buy a full sets of stuff like venomous smite and eternal vigor which have been one of the best pvp sets in the game since greymoor) So i dont agree that ESO login rewards are crap. They are miles better than in swtor and in fact perfectly viable on low level chars and end game as well.
  11. I have not seen that many cc effects in any other game. There is a chronic inflation of roots and slows in swtor since at least shadow of revan. Just getting worse with every next expansion. Today almost every class has some kind of root or slow attached even to spammable abilities (tracer missle slow is very good example). On other hand, there were none or just little change to resolve system and cooldown of cc breaker since launch of the game. They of course gave some "counters" over time, like predation root breakers, but as OP pointed out, most of them get completely negated because of just never ending swarm of roots and slows. I guess devs dont play pvp, or at least they dont play at all certain specs like annihiliation or carnage. Otherwise i cant really understand how they justify current experience of such specs in wzs, being snared and rooted pretty much all the time. Where is fun in that?
  12. Its not true they cant give anything valuable to players. As i said, in other mmos - like ESO for example - you can get decent stuff via login rewards. Im not sure the reason is that swtor developers have no clue about what is really happening in their own game, what is state of economy etc. I think its more about they are very, very reluctant to give players "for free" anything worth a dime. This game has a long history of introducing content with zero or laughable rewards (like uprisings for example).
  13. Why in this game every good idea has to fail because of terrible implementation. Basic versatile stim giving 8 (EIGHT) mastery and 3 (THREE) power. Come on... Why you are so afraid of giving your playerbase some actually decent rewards. Obviously i know you shouldnt get best stuff in the game from just login in, but what you introduced is just laughable. In ESO, where you have similar system, you can get large amount of top trier potions and poisons. From time to time they also give a decent sum of money. One day there was 100.000 gold reward, which is more or less equivalent of 1 mln credits in swtor. Come on, you can do better.
  14. I agree 100% with the OP. Its sad to see how devs ruined shadow/assassin over last few years. By that i dont necessary mean class viability, rather playstyle and what made it so unique and fun to play. I enjoyed sin the most during 2.x era when it had phase walk, lighting and crushing darkness. Back then i would say class was not easy to play, yet very rewarding and satisfying. You had so many tools to utilize in diffrent scenarios and you could make very fun burst combos. Now sin playstyle is just a boring spam (like most of the classes tbh...). There is no uniqueness anymore imo. New ability is so "useful" that i dont remeber its name ... yesterday i figured out that i dont even have it on ability bar on my shadow. This is how redundant it is.
  15. Not sure if you are trolling or just very bad sorc.
  16. "Class i hiting very low". I laughed when i read it. Lighting sorc is one of the best dps classes this x-pac. Both pvp and pve. Decent lighting sorcs are doing 10 k + dps in warzones on regular basis with ease. They are also surprisingly durable because of the passive damage reduction. You have a lot of tools to kite effectively (with gathering storm set especially). Pve-wise, cleared dxun hard mode almost two months ago with lighting sorc, who was always 1-2 on dps charts. Damage-wise class is more than viable. You said: "we are dead, unless we run out of combat, run away, using LOS and stuff, till the enemy is so bored with us, that they just give up and go onto another target." Well this is what are u supposed to do on RANGED class, especially light armored ranged class. Keep distance and kite enemies. If you expect to facetank marauders/powertechs/juggs and survive then the problem is you, not the class. Madness while not as good as lighting remains perfectly viable in regs. Healingwise i agree sorcs are not in the best spot and they deserve a buff.
  17. The mission is conclusion of act 2 of jedi knight story line. Soundtrack is not working properly there. After 3-4 seconds music suddenly stops playing, then few seconds later it starts from scratch. That pattern repeats all the time, like a broken record. Im not sure if its bug or not, but in every other place/mission/whatever soundtrack in the game works fine.
  18. This is probably the worst idea i have ever read on forums. Why instead of bringing rank in regular warzones, just bring back ranked 8vs8 as a separate que (like in the past). To make place for them, they could remove solo ranked, cause it is and always was utter garbage anyway
  19. But hey, bolster is working as intended and they are not going to revert the change. Even if people were not complaining about it before patch. Now we have pvp, especially ranked, flooded and influenced by exploiters using some funny pve sets like DVL and stomping other players, who rather choose to gear in 'legit' (designed by Bioware, even if its retarded) way. And devs still defend their brilliant idea. Only thing they can say is that they are aware of the issue, and they are thinking about solving it. Bla bla bla. That kind of ****, RUINING game experience should be fixed ASAP!!! Not after month or two... Bioware is like socialism, it creates and fights problems unknown anywhere else.
  20. So, to to get tier 2 gear i need to give back empty tier 1 shell plus certain amount of tokens. What if i sold empty tier 1 shells i got from galactic command system? I need to regrind all gear i already have? Please tell me im wrong
  21. First, by various events like DvL, 2x exp or even 5x from class stories, they encourage people to make dozens of alts. They even say (just before Shadow of Revan), "you should create all the classes, so you will pick whatever suits you the most". Then they even change pvp gearing system making it very accessible for fresh players and people who like to play many toons. And after all that stuff they introduce the most time-consuming, frustrating and punishing people who have many alts, RNG system. And it is done of course against players feedback. Have anyone asked for such grind? Dont think so. But Eaware doesnt give a s... Someone who is new in the game may ask, are swtor developers sane people, do they play their game? But folks who are playing star wars for 2+ years should not be surprised. They did a lot of things (on diffrent scale tho) like that in the past. They dont care ruining good things in this game (against players feedback) just to introduce another "glorious" revolution that none asked for.

    Buff sages

http://imgur.com/LMorHXj 8 sages and they still lost. Bioware do something about it. Like give sages stealth in the next patch or something.
  23. I just want to say that your so called awesome sub rewards made me want to unsub just right now. This is the biggest fail i have ever seen in history of this game. For what exactly i should pay each month? For freaking companion? For story mission i can finish in one hour? If i would like to play solo game mode i will just play Fallout 4 or Skyrim. This is mmo for the love of God! And mmo is about playing with people, group content! Instead of giving us more companions (so how many of them we will have soon? 50?) and old events like gree over and over again, how about share some informations about actually important stuff. Like new OPS - for how long we are supposed to farm old instances? Or class balance, which is absolutely horrible, probably worst in history of this game (overperforming AP powertechs both in pve and pvp for example). I wont even mention pvp, because since a long time it seems like you just gave up when it comes to this part of the game. Which is very sad, because pvp in Swtor has so amazing potential and used to be very fun in the past. This so called amazing announcment made me very sad. Your loyal (at least till now) subscriber since 3 years.
  24. Still cant train medical probe as commando. Still cant commit utilites without reloging/switching instance. Did that patch fix a single thing?
