  1. Great, yet another I hate Koth/Quinn thread. Don't we have more than enough of those already? I'm sorry but I disagree with you there. You have every right to dislike or hate any characters, but I can't agree with you on the fact that Koth fails as a character. Same with Quinn. Having your own agendas, and not following out of blind obedience every step the player makes doesn't make you a failed character. For me, that's what makes things interesting. Tora's reason to keep following you despite Koth leaving didn't made me thing better of her, in the contrary, seeing how easily she dropped Koth despite their past ties made me question her loyalty. She does state that it's better with you because you can provide toys and credits. Mainly credits. It doesn't make her a failed character either, just one that I wouldn't trust. At least, Koth fight for ideals, and won't betray you for money, only if you betray what matters to him, what he's fighting for. I can totally understand that, and in a way I admire that more than someone who has no ideas of its own, or doesn't fight for what he thinks is right. Isn't that what we are doing mostly? Fighting against anyone who is against us, and our goal, our vision?
  2. What you're saying seems to be true. I've flirted with Koth every time I could with my BH, and played up to the cantina scene. I got the flirting option, but got interrupted by real life, escaped the scene and logged off. Next day, I go back to my toon, start the cantina scene, and guess what? No flirt option available! Reseting did nothing... Granted it was not such a big deal since my BH was going back to Torian anyway, but still. I've also played a SW who accepted Valkoryon's power and lied to Lana, but still could romance her without an issue. And I played him without any interruption from chapter 1 to 9. Next time, I won't disconnect until I'm sure that my LI are locked in by the game.
  3. You're right, I've used the wrong term. It was 5 packs of each. But when I consider that these 10 crates are worth 1900 cartel coins, which is worth around 15 euros, and the worthless content I got for it, hypercrates or not, it was just clearly not worth it. I'm not arguing that chance cubes are worst than what we had before, I'm arguing that I'd like to have a way to either choose the items I want and stop the randomness nonsense that both the crates and the chance cube feature; or to at least have a better drop ratio that could allow me to get a better chance of getting what I really want, or to at least buy the items I wanted by selling the items I've got. I won't buy another crate until one of these things happen. That's all.
  4. /signed I haven't bought an hypercrate in ages, and the whole chance cube business was not enticing me to do it again. But after hearing some favorable reviews I figured I'd give it a try. I bought 5 hypercrates of the revenge pack and 5 of the visionary pack for 1900 cartel coins. The result ? Highly disappointing. - 4 armors sets : only one is full and 2 are supplementary... Plus none of these are either the ones I was looking to get, or highly sought for in the cartel market. - 2 mounts, 4 crystal, an emote and a title: none of these are either the ones I was looking to get, or highly sought for in the cartel market, and 4 crystal, really? What am I supposed to do with that? - A bunch of stronghold decorations I might use if I can't find a way to make a little bit of profit with it - Some gifts I would have easily gotten in just a few companion missions. - Some scrap Not only I haven't had anything of the stuff that I was looking forward to get, but selling the content of what I've got wont cover the price I would have to pay to get some of them in the GTN. Most of it is of very low value and won't sell well. I can understand not getting the things you want from 1 hypercrates, but from 10? I'll never buy an hypercrate ever again unless at least the rate drop is increased or I can choose the content I want.
  5. /signed obviously. Can I sign for more companion interactions? What's the point of having so many companions if they're here just to look pretty and are almost interchangeable? I'd take fewer companions with better interactions anyday...
  6. Couldn't agree with this more! I've yet to find enough time to play this new chapter and the lack of romance acknowledgment doesn't entice me to do it that much. I've come to a point where I'm no longer expecting anything when it comes to romances. In fact, I'm expecting it to get even worse, because if they can't do it now, with only 7 romanceable companions (Theron, Lana, Koth, Jorgan, Kaliyo, Vette, Torian), how will they handle it when all the romanceable companions will be back? I fear that a nice reunion and some letters will be all we have to look forward to here. I could go further and say that any kind of companion interaction besides the ones the chapter is focused on are really really lacking. We have so many companions, more and more each chapter, and yet they seem less like companions, and more like gameplay features, or some cosmetic toon. I'd rather have less companions and have them matter more. I miss the small crew I had with my class story, and talking to them after the missions. They didn't have that much interactions, but this was still way better than now.
  7. I'm curious, I saw the break-up scene for Lana/Theron/Koth when you rekindle your romance with Jorgan. Is that the same scene you got with Kalyio, or Vette? Or is there some differences? 'm also kind of worried that things might change and that I may not get the opportunity to rekindle Torian romance if I confirm the romance with Theron in chapter 9.
  8. That's a great news, thanks I'm currently on the Red Eclipse and it's a bit too populated for me. I'm thinking of moving to a server where I can be almost on my own most of the time? Does anyone knows of one?
  9. I am someone who romanced all of them, and I totally agree that all romances lacks content after chapter 9. But Lana already has had the most amount of the three out there by far: * Koth: present in Kotfe from chapter 2 or 3 to 9, with less romance content but that make sense since you have no previous history with him so you have to get to know him first. Nothing before and nothing after. * Lana: SOR and she's with you every step of the way in Kotfe from chapter 2 to 9. Nothing after. * Theron: SOR and pops up in Kotfe in a late chapter to rekindle the romance at the end of it, and that's about it. He was the male equivalent of Lana in SOR, but this ceased to be true in Kotfe where he is forgotten until very late, and even there the content is minimal. Nothing after.
  10. Same here: Theron > Koth > Lana Theron is a nice blend of awkward, confident and sweet, with a great story to boot and I only wished he was a little more present so that he could benefit from a little bit more character development. Koth is fun, and one reason why I like him a lot is probably why people dislike him so much. He has a different past, a different background. He's not afraid of disagreeing with you, and is not mindlessly following you. He even dare questioning you, so awful and whiny of him right But I admit that when I see all the hate thrown at him, even from people from Bioware even if it's done for fun and not to be taken seriously, I'm a bit afraid that his content - and romance- might be ditched unless it's about killing him horribly. The entire stream last night was a rallying cry around hating Koth after all ... Lana is... Well, I do like her, but I honestly grew a bit tired of her, mainly because she's a bit overused and feels like a writer's pet, like Liara in Mass Effect. There are so many cool and awesome characters that are underused right now. What would be awesome would be having all the romance characters with as much content as she has, but this is never going to happen, so I'd rather see them get some story development than her.
  11. Why? Why is it necessary to exclude everyone else? The country right across the river from mine is eligible, mine isn't... kinda sad, you know. I concur with you on that! Once more, I'm getting ripped off from any potential reward just because I'm from France... Awesome I know that it"s legal limitations but I have a hard time accepting that there's no way against that if there was a real will. I definitely feel undervalued
  12. For those interested, my trooper video is up on youtube, here. The lines start around 24:00, the alternate version is right after.
  13. I have a trooper who romances Jorgan ready to start episode 12, but I can't seem to get this special line
  14. I did not expect any of my characters who romanced Theron or Theron himself running to embrace each other when reunited because I didn't feel like there was enough time for them to reasonably be in love. Realistically, they barely know each other (they spent what? 4 - 8 hours together, tops?), they just like each other and hooked up 5 years ago. However, I do expect my toons reuniting with their husbands, with the people they have known for years as a highly emotional encounter. Jorgan's reunion with my character was rather well done. A bit reserved but fully understandable. After all he is reserved, plus the situation was not conductive to being much more demonstrative. As for the original subject of the thread, I hate to be a downer and I'd love to be proved wrong, but I don't see them giving us more romances while they barely acknowledge those we already have.
  15. I realize this is cool to hate on Koth, but I like him and he fits very well with my agent. For once, it is nice to have someone with different opinions, that I can disagree with while trying to understand where he comes from. Most of the toons idolize you, don't have their own agendas, or are mindless psychopaths like Vaylin who people seem to like because she's hot, I guess? If someone in here played the Koth romance, do you know if there is some romance content for him in chapter X?
  16. I'm exactly the same This is -or rather has become- my list of most disliked Bioware characters. Tali is close to that list too. Funny how pet's character rarely seem to be men. I had to scratch my head trying to find some, and found only very few. For example, one could argue that Garrus is a typical writer's pet too. Alistair could be seen as one too, but he's clearly not as overused as Leliana.
  17. Am I the only one who, despite being happy to finally hear the devs talking about Theron, wasn't that reassured by their answer? I mean, him being an introducer might mean that he'll introduce the chapter's plot and then go afk the rest of the time, like for the star fortresses missions. Plus, they did say that he is a busy man and won't be here for every event. I'm pretty sure that Lana, despite supposedly being a busy woman too (isn't she the one running the show after all?) will be there every step you take.
  18. I had no idea who Visceral was, and looking up at the games they made, I know why : they're mostly known for action games and shooters like Dead space or Battlefield. It doesn't bode well for me, I'm probably not going to like this game. Again. Guess I'll probably have to wait even longer to get the single-player star-wars RPG I'm really looking for, and not some open-world, simplified, action-focused rpg, or some multiplayer shooter like Battlefront. At least, my wallet is grateful for that.
  19. Depends on your class, you own skill, and the star fortress you choose, since apparently some are harder than others. I personally couldn't manage to even get to the boss despite having 216-220 gear and the same level of influence, but others did it with what you got, so it can be done.
  20. Guess what? Tried it. Still can't solo it for the achievement. Despite some good 216-220 gear, a companion lvl 36 and pulling all the stops (heroic moment, stims,...). I didn't even manage to get past the last console on the way to the exarch. I'm a melee DPS and my healer dies way too fast and I can't heal myself, or even manage to get the heat off him enough/kill the mobs quickly enough, so i would say, that the new buff didn't change a thing for me for the heroic +2 SF.
  21. I just meant to disapprove the notion that players who can do HM ops were elites. And the silly notion that people who can do HM ops, and so-called "elites" could solo the star forteress +2, and are pro-nerf. I'm against the nerf. Plus as I said on my other post (I edited it afterwards) it just means that I'm well equipped, in good company and that I know how to work in a team. But my character's flaws (DPS with no healing,...) makes it not as viable when it comes to solo anything as other classes.
  22. Not true. I beat HM ops more than once yet I don't consider myself an elite player. Not even close. After all, I couldn't solo the Star Forteress... Just means that I'm well equipped, in good company and that I know how to work in a team. But my character's flaws (DPS with no healing,...) makes it not as viable when it comes to solo heroics.
