  1. I think that sounds like comic material actually. Like Mass Effect: Redemption style. It sounds too short to me to be a game and likely wont have many twists in it and all. Plus they would likely not spend resources on that.
  2. Empire just seems to be much more... well done, if you will. The animation quality, the aesthetics of the areas. They just seem so much better in general. I still prefer Republic story wise, but damn do I hate not having the amazing Imperial Agent animations on my Smuggler.
  3. Codex would suggest there are titles, yes. Websites also claim there are on occasion, but I don't think you can actually unlock them. As far as main quest lines go, there are plenty.
  4. I still want a damn SIS Agent. (Yes, would be too similar. I know. Why can't Smugglers just go SIS agent?)
  5. Smuggler is easily the least played, with Imperial Agent the second least. It's different for every server of course, but all the polls had them pretty much arranged as the last two and from personal experience they definitely are least played. Not that it says much, personally I think they're definitely the most enjoyable when it comes to gameplay. (Story wise I am having really big issues liking the Smuggler though, IA's story is great)
  6. The way the storylines and built doesn't allow for crazy races like that. They'll have to implement them in expansions, maybe. Don't count on it. It wouldn't work with the current game to have Hutts, Ewoks etc.
  7. They are in the codex technically. But don't reward you with some meaningless point system or anything.
  8. Main problem I just have is that it's the most out of character title I can think of (other than maybe The ubar l33t haxx0r ****pwner) But I don't really consider it a big deal. A gift is a gift, they also couldn't have given us anything.
  9. ...Can we have this as a cosmetic option BioWare? I want my floating head army.
  10. trololololololololololololol.
  11. I'm using Risha most of the time for story reasons. Both when playing Scrapper and Sawbones. I used Bowdaar for a while with Sawbones but I came to the conclusion that DPS companions are mostly more useful than the tank ones as their AI is just plain dumb and Bowdaar in particular seems in pretty bad shape. I suppose he works fine, but I never liked using him much.
  12. They are scaled to be the same amount in the end though. If there are differences then those are very small and not significant unless you're doing some hardcore min/max raiding and will likely be fixed really shortly. Like there's a few differences in animation durations, cooldowns are a little difference between Smuggler and Imperial Agent but those are issues they are looking into.
  13. Honestly this was one of the first things that I concluded when I started doing PvP back in the beta. Don't know if it'll change, but I just remember the "People don't like losing control over their character" quote that certain developers like using.
  14. No, because they work 100% the same. Only difference is that they look different visually. Mechanically they are the same.
  15. These are exactly the same. All mirror classes are exactly the same (Small differences in animations, numbers and such not withstanding, those will be fixed) For the Trooper vs. Bounty Hunter deal it's honestly 100% the same. Only difference is that the Bounty Hunter bar fills up and you have to vent heat while as a Trooper the bar drops and you have to reload. It just looks different. It works exactly the same and goes at exactly the same rate. No difference.
  16. That is likely to happen anyway. People can't really live without a LFG tool anymore this day and age. I prefer waiting a while much, much over a cross-server LFG tool though. But that's something I figured out the minute it was introduced into WoW after having spent years doing it the hard way. I won't mind a server LFG tool, and it is more than likely to happen with the amount of people wanting it. Cross-server should never have seen the light of day however.
  17. So I heard people have different opinions. Obviously they went for a familiar MMO style which frankly has been doing great - and from the initial sales so far I'd assume TOR is doing just fine - in the past and went with the "Why fix what isn't broken?" mentality. If you don't like this kind of MMO, then the door is over there. People like different things. There's a lot of people that love this and honestly judging by all the MMOs I've played in the past, of which countless where "WoW ripoffs" (Kind of funny considering WoW was one to begin with) I think SWTOR is the first that can actually pull it off. It wont revolutionize anything. Other than solid storytelling in a MMO which hasn't been done (much) before either. Personally I think they did a splendid job on most of their things and coming from someone who has played WoW for over 6 years I am quite satisfied. Regardless, I also look forward to see if a game like Guild Wars 2 can actually revolutionize gameplay.
  18. Does beta count? In the beta I started with a Smuggler. Was hugely disappointed with Act 1 so come release (Or early access I should say) I started a Trooper (Commando) which I much preferred in story. Then halfway through I started missing the melee, rogue like gameplay (Plus healing, I love healing but they both have that) so rerolled Operative and Scoundrel more or less simultaneously. Had major issues getting Scoundrel through Act 1 (Simply because I think it's the worst thing BioWare has written - talk about dragging on pointless moments.. geez) but Act 2 luckily was looking better. Operative I still much prefer theme/story wise but I can only stand playing Empire for so long.
  19. Definitely, or at the very least more hair styles. Not a pressing issue of course, but I find the current hair style options pretty damn lame in general. I'd like some long hair style options, or just more options. A simple barber mechanic would be nice somewhere in the future.
  20. Small example, but relatively spoiler free, Trooper Act 1 quest where you can opt to save someone or chase after one of the traitors. If you do the first the traitor will escape and at the end of Act 1 reappear as a miniboss. If you do the latter that will of course not happen as you kill said traitor (Not sure if you can spare that person) there. Not sure how much of an impact it has that the first person died. There are quite a few of these consequences throughout. And with companion reactions I also meant their regular dialogue on ships and such (You can't backtrack these can you?) Jaesa shapes out to be quite a bit differently based on your choices as an example.
  21. Simple solution would be that they replace most gear drops with mod drops. Hopefully they will do that in the future. That or make a simple appearance tab.
  22. Those things play out very differently if you are Dark side, yes. Story moments like that are very much based on previous light side or dark side choices, like I said before your story plays out quite differently depending on those. Except that it does? I suppose companions reacting entirely differently to you is not a story consequence? Jaesa for example reacts completely differently if you go a light side route. Heck, certain points not happening because you opted to spare someone who later comes around to kill you is not a story effect?
  23. A fully Dark side Jedi will simply be a Dark Jedi. You're still part of the Republic. Think of it as a cultural choice (Republic/Empire). You don't know or follow the Sith traditions thus you are not Sith. You are still a member of the Republic, regardless of your alignment. Yes, certain NPCs will react differently to you. Your whole story will play out differently if you pick certain dark side choices. Storywise it has a major impact. Gameplay wise the only real different is the gear you can use and that going dark side will have a visual effect on your character (Typical dark side look) Same goes for a light side Sith. They are still Sith, but they prefer to improve the situation for the Empire as a whole instead of just slaughtering their way through everything and only improving the situation for themselves. Cliche that is done to death? That seems pretty ironic, considering most people still follow the stereotypical "SITH IS EBUL" deal. Personally I think Light Sith has some of the best writing and story moments in the entire game and is a blast to play as. It's also refreshing with everyone else on the Empire being yet another evil guy with some sinister plan. I definitely recommend anyone to try out a light side Sith because it creates some of the most interesting situations.
  24. I've seen a few people with Electrostaves and Vibroswords around. They're rare, but some people do. I personally would prefer using those over Lightsabers (Not a lightsaber fan) but I don't play Force classes anyway. I just wish I could run around with my Vibroknife instead of it being ability-only. I think the main problem is that most Vibroswords just look like electric batons. Which is kind of the idea behind them, but they are rather limited by what Star Wars already has - they can't go as crazy as with their other games. Then again, I did see those giant anime cloud swords in-game multiple times.
  25. Pretty much, you can keep using orange gear all throughout 1-49 (At 50 there is better gear). With the only difference being the way they look.
