YES it is and HELL NO it is not! heres me thoughts well judging buy the date of the last post this may be a waste of time but here is my two cents (most give three cents change ) when GSF first came out it was a blast every one was playing it and it was supported and a great time!!! (I believe the rebels wone\ a game though been so long I cant remember) it was simple ships (nova dive, star guard, pike, and the gun ship (sorry I cant remember the name so a long time ago in a galaxy far far a way gsf was fun, exciting and enjoyable, then came the ticks (folks hiding under sats not doing any thing and frustrating the hell out of all forums exploded with complaints of this though I know bombers always in the plans but that wasn't the problem the issue came and were it became not fun was the advent of the yup im going to say it KILL SCOUT (que end of world music lol) look I get it every one wanted a new ship and the flash fire/sting WOULD have been grate except the made the biggest mistake ever given blc and target telemetry to the fastest most evasion build ship in game. at first it was awful distortion with interference and evasion build put the ship over 110% thought they fixed the problem and I believe u can only get 65% or 70% right now but they eliminated the need for strike fighters all together with 1 ship as a flash or sting vs any 1 strike any build (though iv herd clarion has a good chance but its not like folks switching to it) and its gg though bombers have mines and stuff a flash or sting gets to u b4 they arm and ur dead 3 hits and see ya! (done and witnessed it) ok im not harping on scouts and don't get me started on the 100% hit on the rail gun for the bombers just saying they should of I don't know tested the build b4 they made it) any way the problem with gsf right now is U have to match ships eith the other team or its good game. so if they have 3 mine layers 1 bomber 2 kill scouts 1 or 2 gun ships with a strike if they don't have 2 gunners but normal 8 man have 2 gunners at the lest. u need 3 bombers 2 kill scouts and gunners to match were before if they rand gunships (TDM) before bombers came u could use some scouts to counter the gunners but now I feel if u don't match ur not done. well all in al now its not worth playing and to bad I used to love it but with the premade and the fact that the strike is useless I like diversity and they killed it plus they are NOT EVER going to again support or make new ships.
  2. hey battle it joristins I moved to another server jc is dead and not going any were, but any way I always notice ships disappearing from the screen though I think my vido card was the issue but not sure... any way I play on jc as recopalatso and I notice some things... 1. first the battle scouts they do not have to target u if they have lasers and rocket pods... but I do notice that they can lock on to me at ridiculous angles and bam im dead.... with clusters now I now folks will say clusters have a bigger field to lock on to and I agree witch is why I have them on my strike and scouts but there not even facing me when the lock starts... I notice that a lot... now I get there great pilots out there and kronezed, martell and others know they frustrated me constantly there really good piliots but some of the locks I got from other scouts were ridicules if this is an exploit BW NEED TO FIX THAT..... 2. gunships (my bane) I hate to play them but some times I have no choice... any way ill be flying and 1 "tap" and no mater what my shields were ill be red in a fully upgraded strike to. and the ion canon will rip me apart not full charged now I am the one that will say fight fire with fire so I grab my gun ship with ion (all full with stopping recharge and I have slicer skill) ill tap that same Gs and slice him and to my eyes hell just BR off and burn to safety yet he "Taps) me and im space dust in 3 seconds... ug BOMER MAN@@@@@!!!!! OH how I hate the over powered all mighty BOMER oh there just ridiculous (IF U HAVENT FIGURED IT OUT IM A strike fighter dude though I fly all) though I am liking the spear point lately. k first if u don't have a ship with armor ignore or a missile that will help u ignore it stay away from them!! or friends any way I haven't notice any thin unusual about them a good bomber pilot is real tough to kill (with charged plating there 2ice as hard..) but hey I guess 1 ship fending of 100ds of other is not unusual.......... now sabotage probe I have notice if I hit with it the ship acts like nothing happened except he will have less hp (100% hull damage) don't know if that a bug or a hack but need to be looked at.. other then that I changed to another server faster times better games and man oh man the sill of the pilots I play with now makes our server look sad I don't know if they think of me of as an ace any more.... but ill keep playin cause I love gsf later man see u out there
  3. well I love the idea but there a bunch of issues that need to be addressed first I don't think it should be limited to TDM... plus in this area I think there should be fighters different skill level that are cpu controlled that u could practice on so noobs would not get rolled all the time. witch brings me to my next point have a cpu station like they do in the tutorial but with mines, and scouts cpu ticks again different areas that have different skill level or 1 area beginner and the other are ffa to help more though I like the tutorial I think its way to basic. needs to be an are that has lots of object locking on to u shooting at u wile ur trying to fight, think that would help more, but a ffa area would be great so new players could get some flight time. should be no points kills do nothing, in flight or an area of reconfigure at min.... great idea though hope they listen for once
  4. eh like the thread man really got me thinking (josortorins) I am a republic commando that gsf a lot u probably shot me down a few times lol. I am not giving what I think an ace I or is not cause there a lot better players then me out there that have way more knowledge on this game then me and that's ok with me I like to go up agents aces though and see how I fair. don't know if I loose more then win depend one how many ace there are and how many i got on me at a time. think that if your a good player or an ace you will know it cause most the time some one going to notice you and come after you and tell the team hey watch out for this guy. i run a lot of ships like the new sf with repair and own with the skybolt with blaster overcharge though think that's my best ship don't play it much as i like to try to get good with other ships and of course i get folks on me when i go gunship though i think i am a terrible one i do love ions with the grief factor. so what is an ace? how do you know? well i say play gsf *** much as i do and you will know they guys to watch out for. there a few imps that get on my nerves and frustrate me to no end but hey at the end of the day its a game. i think that aces come and go i see a lot of folks come, and leave gsf (to many gs, bombers and battle, scouts) but to respected by other well i think that should tell you all u need to know. and that's all i am shooting for ace or not some one on the other side going to respect me or they will die from lack of cause shoot me down 30 times i am still gana come and give you my best win or lose i am playing till the counter ends the game over.
  5. hello joshortinis here ( yea I spell my own charter name wrong lol ) any way just wanted to hear some thoughts on the new ships and find out what folks out there think of them so I thought I give my take and love to hear what others have thought so far.... so on the new strike fighter (I play republic btw so I would love to hear from the other side ....) I love that u can take a repair ability and take a crew member for offence if desired or to be really hard to kill take the repair one I like the crit I think it is a bit better then by-pass thought it dos not last long as by-pass when u do hit it hurts more just my preference. I like the new sf for support the fact that u can keep flying and repair near by allies I think is really neat and useful. and fully upgrades thermite torps with ether rapid or quad laser makes it deadly (quads for against other sf gs and bombers are nice though I find rapid dos work as well but quads I find are better for those and rapid or other light laser for scouts) I find its a tough ship to takedown as a strike fighter with the shield projector. though I have not unlocked the other components yet I like this set up and ben good for me right from the bat. (played 53 matches with it and I am current 32% win / loss. (gone up against battle scouts and found I can survive and win 20% of the time good players to) also with the repair u basically don't need to use any crew members for extra ammo as the repair ability give u ammo as well so u can tailor this ship as a real killer with wider kill range, and aim or rapid reload, though in this new patch me personally, i don't find rapid reload to be of a big of a deal as before. i like aim and wider kill zone found this works for me I haven't found a good thing about the new scout yet besides the repair drone, so far, as I found that I need to stay out of the battle that their no use or I need to be with a large group for with out the missile lock brake (distortion field) your pretty easy target. I mean u could take the df option if u chose but them what is the point? its suppose to be a support ship? and I guess the extra aim is nice but is it worth it? I mean there so many crew guys that give more aim just seams to be a waste of a component. and target telemetry always great but how many scouts I have that have that>> so y buy the scout if its just a better version of the nova dive with out the option of BR? i just use the beacon, Target Tlem, and torps on my nova dive if i wanted that set up I mean the only option that useful is the repair droid and its powerful to don't mistake that i am saying that its not worth getting I my self have found no big useful ness i men the bomber with repair droid batter option as the scout gets owned way to fast. Now I hope i am wrong that's why i am making this so you guys can say no you are wrong here is why....
  6. Jostorians here. this my first time posting on something like this usually I don't care what people think of me but when I saw my name on the aces list I was happy and shocked. I wish I knew who picked me like to thank them as it is nice to get noticed though I know there a lot of folks that are on here that kill me on a daily biases I think I hold my own lol. any way I just like to say that there are a lot of good pilots out there that did not make this list that I think are as good or even better then I am. I am not sure if I spell these all right but here goes. pak'ti he runs gun ship and is a really good shoot (this from Jedi cov btw. McMillan can be found on either a gunship or a pike deadly in both. and I know there allot more that I missed but I don't now what u need to do before making this board. I run every thing and I am good at all but not great at any ship particularly and only 5 ships master (2 came that way not real fair) always asking for advice and learning from those that are better then me and willing to give tips. any way i love the space pvp not to fond of gunships or bombers (though I do fly them just rather dogfight is all) I hope the get a queue system that limits how many gs and bombers tat can be available but that ffor a different board hoe to see u guys out their!!!
