  1. Shadowlands is an East Coast server. Begeren Colony is the West Coast RP server. Whether it's the "best" server for RP on the West Coast is subjective. You can roll a toon on, or transfer a toon to, Begeren Colony and see for yourself what its RP is like.
  2. The patch notes for 4.2 say that Imperial Agents are now supposed to be able to complete Chapter X. My agent was unable to complete Chapter X before, and with today's patch, Chapter X has been reset for me. I'm reluctant to play through Chapter X again unless it's actually fixed, because there are some reports ( http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=870723&page=17 ) of an even worse problem occurring for agents with today's patch. So the question is: Did patch 4.2 fix Chapter X for any Imperial Agents who couldn't complete it before?
  3. That has changed. Go look in Collections. They are now a Cartel Market armor set, according to Collections, "This is a GOLD item found in a Pack from the Cartel Market."
  4. I can sympathize with the folks who are against the mandatory downleveling. Doing Ilum dailies on my level-capped toons is a fun and relaxing experience. Heck, my companion can do all the work. However, I suspect there are at least two reasons why the player downleveling must be mandatory: 1. My guess is that Bioware wants more players (not just level-capped players) to be able to participate in the Conquest activity of killing base commanders, so base guards and base commanders will have their level adjusted down to match the planet they reside on. If player downleveling were optional, then level-capped players could easily kill low-level base guards and base commanders, and there would be no point to the game mechanic. 2. The rumored Alliance feature in KotFE might repurpose planetary Heroic missions for reputation grinds with different companions. (I seem to recall a Bioware person saying something like "to recruit Torian, you will need to do missions for the Mandalorians". Something like that.) If player downleveling were optional, then the repurposed planetary Heroics would be trivialized for level-capped players, and there would be no point to the feature.
  5. Khevar did this. Here is the thread. Read all of Khevar's posts in the thread -- the story is pretty interesting. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=741157
  6. Darmock's boots appear to be "Campaign Weaponmaster's Boots" or a similar model. They are available from the Sith Warrior Basic Gear Level 50 vendor on the Imperial Fleet (Lord Larith). He is located in the outer ring of the Fleet, at a desk to the left of the Makeb/Rishi vendors.
  7. My guess is this means megaservers. Hopefully we will get separate West Coast and East Coast megaservers. My guess is that we will see character names and guild names with appended @servername suffixes, similar to how guild names are now displayed in the Conquest UI. Clearly, they already have guilds segregated into different server namespaces. Not sure what this means, but other folks have guessed that different instances could be flagged differently for PvE vs PvP. That seems reasonable. Not sure what this means either, but maybe they would help European players by adding different language gen chat channels.
  8. I suspect that OP is a troll post designed to get views for his referral link. Having said that, the only way that the 12x XP boost would be a "slap in the face" for players who leveled toons in the past would be if the boost was not available to players with existing level 55 toons. Since that is not the case -- since the XP boost is available to all subs who pre-order, regardless of whether those players already have level 55 toons -- then this is not a "slap in the face" to anyone.
  9. Are you complaining that you cannot pass it to an alt immediately? Because you can pass it to an alt as soon as the temporary bind timer expires.
  10. YES! I've been thinking that conquest points should be awarded for RP activities. For example, and these are just some ideas for BW to consider: every line of chat you type into /say should give you conquest points... maybe this one isn't repeatable, so people don't exploit and stuff. Also, every emote you use should give conquest points, (this should be repeatable) with emotes used in context giving more points! What do you guys think? Can we get a dev eta on this? SWtoR needs to support RP'rs playstyle more, not all of want to do combat and stuff... jk
  11. Ranked matches are only for level 55.
  12. A level 28 cannot possibly be in the same warzone as a level 50, since they are in different tiers. The tiers are level 10-29, 30-54, and 55. Therefore, you should actually be one of the highest level people in your warzones, as a level 28.
  13. Nearing a decade old in four years? So, in other words, it's not really anywhere near a decade old at all... unless you consider near to be a only a little over halfway there.
  14. Just a quick little suggestion that won't cause any imbalance, but might make tanks more appreciated; add protection flytext, maybe in blue. This flytext would show up whenever damage is redirected/mitigated by the tank (or dps for that matter). This would make it easier to see in combat the effect tanks are having, the way you can with heals or dps. This would show the tank's allies how they're being protected, and it would show the enemy dps where all their damage is going, and would likely make tanks appear more intimidating from a purely psychological standpoint, kind of the way seeing a huge crit hit you in the flytext makes you wince, seeing half your damage go to waste (in blue text) would likely have people gritting their teeth.
  15. I try to avoid generalized negative remarks about F2P players, but there is a particular problem with flashpoint loot. I was in a flashpoint as the only Consular, and there was a Willpower implant loot drop. A smuggler and I both Needed on the item, and the smuggler got it. (I had Needed on it because it was better than both implants I was using at the time, so I was pretty annoyed that I didn't get it.) In chat, I asked the smuggler why she Needed on it. She said it was a mis-click and apologized. I said, No problem, just trade it to me. The smuggler said she couldn't because she was F2P. To avoid this problem, F2P players should only be permitted to Greed on flashpoint loot.
  16. At least on my server (BC), it's not a price issue. For many of the old sets, not all the pieces are available for sale on GTN, at any price. Bioware is addressing this issue somewhat with the recent packs that contained full armor sets. Those were very useful for obtaining some of the old armor sets.
  17. I understand your concern for PvP beginners, but there is already a solution. Your chat window tells you what power you were hit with, and the damage amount.
  18. Thanks for the info. I also tested this successfully myself with barrels and hilts. It is possible to put an offhand barrel or hilt into a Cartel Market or Legacy-bound "Main Hand, Offhand" weapon, and it behaves exactly as theStirge says.
  19. Yes, it looks like the female leg textures have been reversed front-to-back. Female knees now look deformed (because that is the back-of-knee texture), and there is the big ugly square patch on the lower part of female butts.
  20. I use a matched pair of Cartel Market blasters on my Mercenary. I'd like to buy an offhand blaster with Basic comms and then move the barrel over to my normal offhand blaster. Can a barrel that is locked to "off-hand ranged" be put into a Cartel Market blaster, such as Balmorran Hand Cannon Besh ?
