  1. You probably should have posted this in the guild recruitment forums, located here http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=406
  2. Summary of Post: Death Platoon is a fun-loving community for all players of all play styles. We offer weekly events, a website, a guild bank, +10% experience and +10% reputation. Our website is http://www.deathplatoon.shivtr.com and we have an ( admittedly borrowed ) TS3 at http://www.imperiumcoalition.com Our main guild is in the Imperial faction. Style of Death Platoon: We are a 200+ person community of gamers who love to have fun. We aim to provide a fun environment for all who wish to join our ranks. The majority of our members are casual gamers who play to socialize, however we do have members representing all styles ( PvE, PvP, and RP as well as Casual ) and would love to have anybody aboard. In order to affirm the safety of our members, we have strict anti-harassment and anti-trolling rules, however we are relatively lax on language. Benefits: We have weekly events on a rotation of PvE, PvP, RP, and Social every Saturday at 5:30 PM EST. Depending on the category, these events can range from tackling world bosses, to Star Wars Trivia Nights! We have a website hosted at http://www.deathplatoon.shivtr.com for ease of communication which contains an explanation of our ranks, recruitment system, and other vital features. We offer a guild bank that is constantly growing, to assist your with your gearing and crafting needs. Our members also enjoy a +10% experience gain and a +10% reputation join as well. We also have a TS3 channel within the server http://www.imperiumcoalition.com that we use frequently. A huge thank-you to the Imperium Coalition for allowing us to use their Team Speak. Recruitment: We have a variety of methods to get you into the guild. We have an application feature on our website that will allow us to track you down and invite you to the guild at your convenience, or you can whisper any of our members for an invite to the guild ( Be warned however, we do have precautions in place to prevent nasties from raiding the guild bank instantly, etc. ) You can find us by hopping on our teamspeak at http://www.imperiumcoalition.com or searching "Platoon" on the who list ( Platoon will yield more accurate results than searching Death Platoon. ) Thank you for the time, and I wish you the best of luck in your SW: TOR adventures! Note: This thread is a work in progress that I will be working on and improving when I can
  3. Guild: Death Platoon Guildmaster: Trishot Faction: Empire Purpose: Casual and Social Play ( Hoping to move into competitive and progressive PvP and PvE, respectively) Guild website: http://www.deathplatoon.shivtr.com
  4. So, you want my SWTOR story, hmm? Very well, I suggest you pull up a chair. Now give me that chair. Thank you very much. Alright, so back in 2009ish I was the leader of this clan named Stormtrooper Death Squad in Star Wars Battlefront 2. We were a fun little clan, with a good number of members, plenty of get-togethers and the like. We were allied with a successfully organization known as the Sith Academy RPG, and another known as FGR- Free Gaming Rebellion, however while these do have a decent impact on the story of me, they have little to do with the story of me playing ToR. Eventually, during the summer of 2012 ( I think, not sure ) people were getting bored with swbf2, and members were going inactive for games we didn't support. At the time, we were a star wars only organization. As members were dropping off the charts, I figured we needed a new game, and fast. ToR was hyped up, so I figured I might as well try to expand into it. The expansion was a success, so I stayed subscribed, and loved ToR. Absolutely loved it, fast forward another year or two and you have me now, with several 55s, an immutable love for the game, and running Stormtrooper Death Squad ( which we have now renamed to Death Platoon) which is still very successful and now has 195 members. That was really more of a story of how my guild came into ToR, but the whole reason I started playing ToR was because of my guild, so the stories are truly inseparable.
  5. I concur with the previous posts. You definitely want to get that RN, it's extremely useful.
  6. I agree with the initial poster. SWTOR releases new content at a very decent rate, so between new content, my life, and my guild's events, I almost never get bored. Despite BioWare being new to MMOs ( and thus messing up big at the beginning ), I'd say that they certainly know what they're doing most of the time now. I'm excited for Strongholds, and can't wait to get my Nar Shaddaa penthouse. Housing at last!
