  1. Not sure if this has been answered already but whenever I enable the overlay my fps tumbles down to the high 20's when it would normally sit 70+. It happens with torparse as well. It runs fine if the overlay is kept behind the game - so I can alt+tab to it, my fps only tumbles when it's sitting atop the game. Is this something people just live with? If not is there a setting I need to enable or something? SWTOR is run in full screen windowed mode. Latest drivers etc. etc.
  2. In regards to my previous post. My opinion is that if they think people are missing something to maximise DPS 6 months after 2.0, then I think that is probably bad design on their part. I hope for the best, I raid with a deception assassin, so I merely have a passing interest to the questions and answers. That's all I have to say. I will leave you all to your debating.
  3. I should explain that the Ootini guys only mentioned this in passing and these questions were asked during the Seattle Cantina. They spent maybe 5 seconds on it - before they decided not to go into it. So it might be best to talk to them anyway. I'll check the vid so I can link it here. Edit: Found it! here: So yes it was a guildie of theirs who asked the question.
  4. This might be off topic, but during the latest Ootinicast podcast apparently one of them (or a guildie) asked Damion Schubert (sp?) about Shadow/Assassin DPS. The reply was something along the lines of there was something that you guys (I don't have a Shadow or Assassin) are missing. I'm being vague because the Ootini guys were also, and didn't go into it at all. It might be helpful to try and get in touch with those guys and ask for more information on the question and answer. I'm hoping for your sake that it's just not taking into account executes.
  5. Just a note the URL is incorrect. It is here: http://github.com/TeamSWAP/swap
  6. hmm, I could be wrong, my memory is not the best but I thought there were only a couple of paragraphs leading into the question at the end. I did wake up just before I posted that. I think that it is a little bit here and there in it's opening paragraphs. I think what you're trying to get at is important, but we've seen with the Sorcerer/Vanguard questions, is that if the questions are meandering, the answers will be too. e.g. The first 2 paragraphs seem to be valid concerns, but paragraph 3 i fear will be a L2P type answer (note: I heal on my operative so you can take what I say with a grain of salt) My main issue is with paragraph 3. But again, I don't DPS on my Operative, so please take my opinion with a grain of salt. These questions are worded much, much, much better than the Sorcerer/Vanguard questions. Good work Oaceen.
  7. Wow. I think this is a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth. When I read these yesterday they were short and focused. Now the first one especially is long and rambling. Please take a step back and read them again. I hope you have a copy of yesterdays question.
  8. There's a drop down box just under the mitigation number.
  9. I've just recently gone back to my Guardian tank after not touching her for ~6months and was thoroughly confused about how to gear her up. I found adding up all my mitigation stats and working out how I should gear her out to be just too time consuming. So to help I've created a spreadsheet based on Oofalong's marauder/sentinel spreadsheet where you can add in armourings/mods/enhancements/augments for each particular slot. (thanks Oofalong!) It's in a pretty raw state at the moment, but all you have to do is put in your equipment and look at the mitigation number. The lower the better, so you can see with just a number if it's the piece you want to replace is an upgrade or not. Also you want to talk to your healers as well, as I think this will probably min-max towards the low endurance enhancements so while you will be high mitigation you will be low endurance. The numbers are based on dipsticks numbers here http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=645948. So I believe you will be min-maxing for SV HM. I haven't modeled any of the relics/adrenals or dps numbers at the moment, as they're easy to figure out how to gear. Just use dipsticks recommended relics in the above thread and upgrade them when you can. Please leave feedback if there are any errors or anything you would like to add. Anyway make a copy for yourself and play around with it. I've added most of the gear down to Black Hole/Makeb level stuff as it's pretty easy to start from there. Also if you make any additions can you please share it back with me? I'd like to keep this up to date with any additions people make. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ao9YZwJ6LotndHAxcTQyNURrTTFmeHg1QnVJSUdmVHc&usp=sharing
  10. Something to think about with Annihilation/Watchmen if we decrease the build up time of Juyo/Annihilator/Merciless stacks. e.g. Say we halve the time taken. It currently takes 40 (?) seconds to build up those Annihilator/Merciless stacks, if we halve the time (to 20 seconds), we will have an extra 20 seconds at full DPS mode. I haven't looked through enough parses to know what our full DPS mode average is, but currently the DPS difference between Carnage/Combat and Annihilation/Watchman DPS including the build up time is fairly minimal (at least on dummies) . I think we want to keep them even somehow - thus if they do decrease the build up time, don't be surprised if they nerf something else while they're balancing.
  11. I've been thinking about the current trend in Operation mechanics that penalise Annihilation/Watchman. I've come to the conclusion that it's pretty much the same issue as when in PVP. Here's hoping that if/when it does get fixed, one will fix the other.
  12. Not sure what he goes by on here but oofalong from the mmo-mechanics forums.
  13. You need a Republic character to get this item. You can mail the item to your Imperial character. Edit: It is not a bug, but designed this way.
