  1. So taking in account that the specific Disciplines' set bonus are tied to the armorings..; At best your 2nd same part (Let's imagine legpieces) would be good to use on your Imp/rep-side counterpart 'once' more. Otherwise you might hope you can still make use of the mods/enhancements... Where before, with tokens, I was able to buy pieces with set bonuses for my other classes/alts. You are now taking that choice away *Completely*. There's not enough facepalms on the internet to express how ridiculous this is. For years now people request Less to No RNG with Cartel Market items. Instead you (Bioware) now find it to be a good idea to bring More RNG to Endgame Gear as well?? I can't wrap my head around how you even got to this conclusion, other than that you must have other motives for this. I can say this ; Making gear better and easier to reach for everyone isn't one of them. This system forces you trough a seperate grind for almost every single discipline you have going on your account as there is no way to get the appropriate Setpieces/Ratings otherwise. Before, a Raider talented into one discipline would be able to gear his other alts with what tokens he/she had earned by trading them in with the appropriate vendor and moving the pieces by the use of Legacy Gear. Now you have to grind every single Class up to a decent DVL level and hope to get lucky to collect a full set for the to yourself relevant classes. I've yet to experience the specifics of the command level grind and Endgear RNG for myself, but it doesn't take a genius to see why this is not in the communities' best interest. In short; Current 5.0 itteration of Endgame Gear RNG is imho bound to become; - More grind intensive than ever before. - Extremely alt-unfriendly in a game that has basically promoted the use and creation of alts in the past. - "Choice matters"? (refering to removing the choice to trade in for the gear you want VS the new rng system). On a sidenote; I'd really really love to see how much you'd still like your precious RNG if it got attached to your monthly paychecks. Seeing how you apearantly are under the delusion that it is so enjoyable.
  2. I don't supose you can shed some light on what was the cause of it's shutdown?
  3. At least that one wasn't a Trap...... Here's the REAL Deal about the LvD Event ; Participation in the Event requires you to have at least a few free character slots. Effectively forcing most would-be participants to buy more Character Slots (Or Delete Characters). (1x) Character Slot: 600 CC (450 CC this week). Alternatively you can complete the objectives on another Server... Most of the rewards are BoP (Bind on Pickup), which means they'd be stuck there... unless you Pay Up for the Collections Unlock. For the BoL Set you would even be required to use an expansive Character Transfer and would need to have at least one Free Character Slot on the Server of your Prefference. (1x) Server Transfer: 1000 - 1500 CC. The items from the packs are BOP. In combination with the participation forcing you to use *New Characters*. Being BoP means that more often than not, the items you get will be useless on said New Characters. Again necesitating you to spend CC in collections for Accountwide unlocks. Since we're talking Gold items here, that is a minimum of 400CC per Unlock. (1x) Collections Accountwide Unlock: 400 CC. LvD Packs do not drop Full Armor Sets. The LvD pack reward is granted each time on theToon (Toon is another word for Character) on which the Tier objectives are met. You will be hardpressed ensuring that all your LvD pack reqrds end up on one and the same Toon. Instead of dropping full armor sets, the packs drop Upper, Lower & Supplementary Boxes. The BoP status makes it so that you require all of these on a single Toon to even stand a chance of unlocking it Collections. EG: If you were lucky enough to get Revan Reborn's Upper and Lower setbox on one Toon and the Supplementary on another; This will NOT unlock the set in Collections for you. Even if you manage to get all the LvD rewards sorted on only the single 1 New character, it is quite likely you will end up with quite a few incomplete sets. Deleting the character will waste the potential of those parts ever completing a Set as they will be Lost. Now comes the last(?) suprise; Which was Datamined out of the last update; You weren't able to complete your Expensive Armor Set? No Problem! Out of sheer goodwill and for a limited time only, Bioware will be putting the LvD Packs on the Cartel Market as if they were just another Shipment! Complete with Hypercrates and all! (1x) LvD Cartel Pack Edition: Pricing Unknown. (1x) LvD Cartel Supercrate: Pricing Unknown. (1x) LvD Cartel Hypercrate: Pricing Unknown. This never really was an Event to begin with people..., It's nothing but an Elaborate Cash Grab The few "New" items merely serve as extra Bait.
  4. Wow..., it's just the one middlefinger after the other coming from Bioware this month.... I have unsubbed..., which was already a long time coming to be honest. My displeasure with the directions taken and your companies aweful treatment of it's own fanbase has been building up bits by bits over the last years. And every time I thought there's no lower depth for you to sink to, you managed to amaze me with yet another. You run an unscrupulous Marketing Team. Not a Development Team. You do not deserve what fans you have left. And you definitely do not deserve to have your hands on the Star Wars IP anymore. I hope sooner rather than later Disney will come to this realisation and take the necessary measures. Because the day they condone this kind of business-doing, is a Sad day for Star Wars Fans everywhere. You are not the Bioware I fell in love with many many years ago. That Bioware is gone. RiP.
  5. Opening the boxes gives an item and also generates some credits. The latter usually is already enough to cover the costs of running the mission with a tiny profit. Criticals give you 2 boxes. So 2x credits / 2x item.
  6. I think at this point Bioware's making the game and atmosphere so enjoyable that alot of people just don't care anymore weither they get banned or not.
  7. This game's Cartel Infestation has started to feel like this game has become an online version of the SIMS. Where every New Cartel pack Collection is like just another trashy miniexpansion. Except here it is much worse as you do not even get to choose what you pay for. There litterally should be laws against what is happening in this game to protect people prone to addictions from themselves and from the corporate greed. I forese that they'll continue pushing the borders of what is acceptable untill the figurative bubble bursts. When that time comes I sure do hope the right heads will roll and get their due. (Again figuratively people! I'm not 'that' morbid. )
  8. And why should I not? It is the sum of all things that has people so upset right now. Not just a "Small issue here and there". Moreso the sum of these problems still belong to the very same game and still excist in this very timeframe. You act as though I'm making complaints about WoW in a SWTOR thread. "I hijacked this thread"? Are you even serious...? Rants? Are any of the concerns invalid? Do tell. And you better be into Colors if you're going to keep up discussion with me, cause I'll use 'm whenever I like to. Should we not feel upset or voice ourselves when a bussiness starts to throw morals and ethics overboard?.... It may be objectively viable, but that in no way excuses it as being acceptable. It is not to me. And I think it is quite safe to say to many others as well. Assuming you noticed... People were upset because when they buy new packs it is because they want the new items of it. Not the Old ones. They felt (and I agreed on these points) that the cubes were an excuse to add even more RNG to the total and moving even further away from a direct-buy system. Effectively; less chance to get the items they actually want to pay for. That was for most people the whole point. They are fed up with the gamblecircus that are Cartel Packs. Who exactly is in denial here?.. It certainly isn't me. Ah it's always so easy to just blame all the people. Why should a corporation be held accountable at all? You are quick to throw in "Psychological Factors". But do you fully realise what that even entails? It is because we people with our great wealth on prefferences and opinions do not so easily reach a consensus. Where as the corporate machine has clear goals and will dictate it's directives forcefully if it has to. (EG: Employees not agreeing, getting fired or receiving consequences for "breach of contract".) So we voice our concerns. I've been on the *Constructive Feedback* side. It gets ignored all too often. These so called changes? I do not believe for one moment they are as a response to our concerns. inspired on it, Yes. And twisted. I believe it to be more likely that the regular changes are to avoid people getting a feel for how the packs do in the ingame economy. To create uncertainty about how things will look on GTN. And from that, trying to increase direct CC sales.
  9. You assume much. "All" encompasses everything that's been met with less than enthousiastic reactions over the past year. That's quite a bit. Not just the CM. *Everything*. From bad Bussiness MO's to the Tiresome and constant in your face Marketing decisions to the lack of *Real* content to the various overhyped insults the playerbase has had to contend with. As for what the Cartel packs themselves are concerned They didn't need to raise prices. They didn't need to add another slot. There's barely been one if any at all to ask for such changes! What they could have done is adress the ridiculous RNG people have been complaining about OR even better; Do away with the whole gambling system in the first place! That's been a topic for Years now. You see Irony, I see Ignorance.
  10. Oh, this explanation is exactly what we needed, everything is solved and well now that you've posted this wonderfully organised and written piece of Total Bullocks. I'm sure it must be really hard continuously generating mass copy/pasted cosmetic crap. The sheer amount of manual and mental labour involved on top of having to justify yourself for it each time must be incredibly exhausting and resource consuming! Not to mention the handcrafted carefelully detailed recolors and renames of items which are the work of TRUE Artisans! You should concider raising the price even further, lest you risk not making profits! Honestly Eric.... You could sell each pack for a Dollar and still turn tons of profit if not more..... Your justifications are weak, your excuses are weak, and your backbone may as well be non-excistant. How so many people are able ot put up with this complete and utter nonsense you mask as feedback is beyond me. As it is quite obviously and solely aimed at trying to convince any doubters to buy your Cartel Garbage after all. Speaking openly now to the entire "Bioware" team there at Austin. What is WRONG with you people. Has the money generated from SWTOR gotten you into some kind of "Gold Rush" or some other type of Delusion? SWTOR could easily have had a wonderful and HEALTHY relationship between Developer/Player or Publisher/Customer even. Instead it has turned into a virtual medium which is prone on trying to reach in people's pockets by means that borderline deceit and scamming within perfectly legal contexts. Tell me people of BIOWARE Austin, or all people of BIOWARE even; Does making a contract with EA require you to turn in your Balls? Is there NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU with the spine to come out in the open and admit that ALL OF THIS HAS GONE FAR ENOUGH? I'd love to say that I'd await your response with bated braith. But I'd probably suffocate.
  11. Of times when Bioware still concisted of people that actually cared. Not the Spineless EA-Drones that are accomplice to running it into the ground now.
  12. Right there with you Brother. 4 years+... Enough IS enough.
