  1. The event is fine but it lacks the rewards and the fun factor vs the last event. If i had a sniper/bounty hunter i might try it but i don't so i don't really see the point of a world event where the rewards don't = time spent.
  2. Well this event is the content for august, you will need to tune back in around September the 25th for the next content update.
  3. Well lets look at some info, they have said tor needs around 200k subs to survive and f2p might be an option if subs get near that number. It could be under 500k lets face it a lot of servers got merged into a very few.
  4. Problem with tor is the hero engine cant handle mass pvp...look back to the days of ilum when you had big group fights...it was fun but the engine struggled to handle it. I loved the pvp in guild wars 2 it needs some balance on some classes yes but i have never ever had so much fun playing wvwvw.... 6 members of my guild even ended up buying the pre-purchase and joining me....we had a huge blast. The dynamic pvp is a must and its such a shame tor didn't have anything like this. I enjoy playing tor for the last 7 months but apart from that i will be doing my pvp on gw2 next month.
  5. Make the weekly like the daily, games played rather then wins....peeps might stick around then even when getting steam rolled.
  6. Level to 15 for free is a step closer.
  7. We all know it will happen, the question is when... With GW2 coming out next month they need to do something to keep the numbers playing.... We may see some information coming over the next 4 weeks but with very little info coming out about 1.4 i think it is clear that they are waiting on the green light to go public. I don't like the idea of a EA game going to free to play. Fluff or no fluff I don't like the idea of paying money to access a op/mission with or without a sub. I know they are here to make money and I can support this, but TOR has to get the f2p right and make sure they look after the current player base that want to carry on supporting the game via a sub.
  8. 2.5 hours on one door? didn't you use siege engines? whole idea of getting the door/wall down is to use siege engines and peeps in your team will use the supply that they are spawned in with to help build them (team work). I spent hours in world v world and omg it was so refreshing, i can see it getting boring after a while but for me and the 100 guild/server members playing it was such a blast. I wish tor hero engine could handle something like world v world but that is just a dream.
  9. Said this many times...i love tor and if tor had World V world or something like it, many people would have stuck with it.
  10. Only downside to the fluff items are the gems which you can buy for money and then exchange the gems for ingame money.
  11. Well from what i have seen with the beta in gw2 it just has all the basics you expect to see in any mmo game at release. Guild banks on release, huge guild perks system, world v world is something tor should have had. I still think tor is a better story driven game but the scale of guild wars the pvp and the pve content is dynamic enough for it to stand on its own. Im not a huge fan of the combat system as i think its the only downside to the game. Like all mmo you still feel a little grind at first it is fun to run around and find new events kicking off all the time but after a while (level 31 for me) it started to feel a little like instead of grinding the same quests i was grinding the same events. But it is a good game and tor should have had random events ingame, like attack and defend outposts from npc attacks, open zones that could be fought over...when you look at what is in gw2 it does make me feel sad that so much was missed out of tor and these events could have made tor a lot better.
  12. Thats not the way it works....the class may have already been balanced in a patch to come and it does take a while for these class balancing to make its way onto the live servers. Keep your idea that just because they got a buff again its not to make the class ready for a small balance change in a later patch. From what we have seen in the past this tends to be the way we see the classes change.
  13. Ilum needs to be more dynamic...each time you cap you a zone npcs from your faction should spawn and help guard it...give sides with less numbers more npcs/buffs to help them win back zones. Ilum was and if it came back will be very boring...
  14. The same thing happened with sorcs pre 1.2 every patch that came out peeps moaned about them and in the end they got knocked down a few pegs...so it will happen to marauders. Don;t get me wrong i love the class but seeing all this QQ on the forums about it will lead to action being taken about the class. Just be ready when your bubble gets burst.
