  1. I need some help. I was just in a Yavin Ruins Match. gate went down and I rushed to Relics. Captured the node. cannon starts firing. at least 15 seconds before the Purple team Captured Jungle. however in less than 10 seconds they drained our lead and got ahead of us. around 120 seconds in the purple team captured Mid. so now they have two. then close to the end of the match. we had less than 50 points. we managed to triple cap the number farmers. however. again even though we had all three turrents yellow. Our Team Numbers kept dropping till Zero. and we lost. how did we Lose with all three turrents? I must be missing a Rule of the match? or Kills count on the points? but this is Civil war, not hypergate? can anyone explain? truely just curious wth. and before you ask / tell. no it wasn't lag.
  2. 30 - 40 matches lost in a row is true. has happened to me twice since December. The only info that you don't know is it was not on the same toon. as I rotate through my toons when i finish a weekly. Yes my toons all have 332+ gear. most of them have purple augs. Yes i understand how to play each class and most of the specs. only specs i don't play are Jugg dps, and PT Dps. i do play all three tank specs just fine. and i'm fairly decent at Sin/ Op.

I want you to say this to my face after you que all day saturday from 7 am till midnight. and you get run over, rolled through, train wrecked, and straight up ganked and or graped by every pre-made team on SF that ques. i'm sorry but 30-40 straight losses due to being put on team of undergeared noobs against a 4 man pre-made will change your mindset. I am not the greatest pvper. and i will never claim anything close. but i have pvped in this game since Launch, and Wow for 16+ years before coming here. so i know and understand what to do and how to do it.
  4. The Whitebar (Resolve) does work as intended. but the Game has changed and evolved. while the Resolve system did not adapt. that is what most folks complain about. A hard stun like Backhand from a Jugg. is 5 seconds. unless you talent it. it only fills roughly half the resolve bar. so you can get two 5 second stuns back to back. from good players. and get burned down inside those 10 seconds. A CC/Soft stun fills roughly 3/4s of the Resolve bar. can Be Dispelled. two of these and for the next 25? seconds you cannot be stunned again. Certain Abilitys ingame have the 2-4 second with / without incoming hard damage (not dots) stun. i personally have not seen these short stuns add resolve. (however pvp is fast paced. and i'm not as young and quick as i used to be.) every ability with a Root Component. Adds Zero Resolve. (looky i'm a big target. shoot me) Slows. I'm honestly not sure how slows work in this game anymore. I mean. if you get a slow from each class or two from each class...you shouldn't be able to move. at all. but it never reduces your speed to absolute zero. however some classes seem to shrug off slows. or they simply don't effect / affect that person in a match. also when you die all debuffs should be removed. and they are not. that is slightly confusing to me. i get Buffs that Presist through Death. but debuffs? anyhow. just my two cents. i'm not sure honestly if the resolve immune buff should last longer. or if each stun should fully fill the resolve bar. i don't know what balance for that looks like. but i do believe that for pvp. Roots and Slows should be apart of that system. thinking about it atm. Resolve bar should give the Immune Buff for half the CD of your Stun Breaker. (so if you spec into your Breaker and its got a 1.5 min CD. then your stun immune buff once Resolve bar is filled should last for 45 seconds. (I.E. you can't be Controlled in anyway for that 45 seconds) if your not spec'd into it. and you have the 2 min CD. then you get 60 seconds. (this idea might be extreme. or too long. i'm not sure. but it makes sense atm to me) CC can stay at 75% Hard Stun should be 75% Soft stun / Short 2-4 second Stuns should be 25% Roots should be 50% Abilitys that only Slow. (Sins and Shadows Slow Ability) should be 35% and the CD on that ability should be 4 seconds longer than the debuff. abilitys that have a slow added to the main effect. like Incend Missle for Merc IO. should only add 15-25%
  5. i have 9 toons that I pvp on. Think i'm on Star Forge. i have one of each Sub class. and 2 mercs. since the season one wipe of pvp stats. all are 85+ Valor. and 2 Elite Warlords. all have around 100 matches to date. before the wipe I prolly had somewhere around 1500 matches per toon. I played from about 3 months after Launch. until the second Eternal Empire xpac. so 6ish years. and i just came back around June of 22.
  6. i have no idea. but i stopped queing about 2 hours ago. got food. came back. got on my Maddness Sorc. ran yavin. did GSF. then qued. and pulled a pre-made that farmed my team for max duration in void star. my teammates had 4-10 kills each. and all of us did around 4-10 mill damage. the other team had 44-80 kills each. and did 4-17 mill damage was a Sent in that match. didn't die once. i beat on him for 3 mins. never got his health under 90% most fustrating thing ever. I think i'm done. I'm tired of being Farmed. i'm tired of being put against Pre-mades.
  7. I pvp'd Last night for 3 hours. I qued with a guildie as a Double. we got Zero Pops for an Hour. we split and solo qued got a pop in 3 mins. which put her on a pre-made team from Mando. then the next match was pre-made vs pre-made. win went my way. sadly that was my only win out of 5 matches last night. so i went Loss, Win, Loss x3. fast forward to this morning. first match of the day. 10 mins ago. was against a 6 or 8 man pre-made. not sure if it was a full. but they played Objectives and Graped us hard. most of the folks on my team died 15+ times. think we killed 4? of them 1 or 2 times each. they had no healer that i saw. simply FoTM Sorcs / Pts / Juggs / Lethal OP. I want to know why the f*ck it always puts me against a Pre-made. doesn't matter if i que back to back. or day to day. doesn't matter if i change toons. i'm so sick of being pitted against Pre-mades. the only thing i do is pvp. i don't have time for anything else. sometimes i get an all day sat or sunday play. but its not every sat or sunday. just fustrating as hell to que up and know ahead of time or within the first min that its another Loss. and there is no way to win.
  8. i kinda think the vote system for kicking afkers needs to be looked at..and improved. but other than that i'm not sure. a few of the maps make it very hard to get medals. and other maps are still kinda easy. honestly if you want a straight forward way...then stop giving losers rewards. the down side is the devs would have to listen to thousands more self entitled s**t stains crying about getting nothing for time wasted. and more crying that they want their sub cost back because they aren't getting rewarded for queing and standing around. I feel your pain. but the system in place is prolly the best the devs could think up on 15 mins notice and they barely managed to encode it so it half ass works. lately i've been seeing some wierd stuff going on with the weeklies not counting correctly. or randomly adding wins / losses. so take it or leave it...mostly.

When they changed the medal Rate in december most of us stop medal hunting. so i'm not sure that matters much as for the dailies and weeklies I'm guessing that BW choose win/loss as a way to increase pvper numbers (to make more matches, thus a faster que, so pvpers would stop crying about no ques.) also as a unintentional biproduct making a win count 3x. Possibly removing Pre-mades faster. (I.E they finish the weekly an swtich toons, or logout) so casuals can enjoy pvp without harassment. (note this biproduct is iffy. does not work all the time. and rarely lets you have a good day in pvp.)

    Self-Heals

    i'm not talking about Trauma. as I recall. in wow pvp, if you load into a battle ground everybody gets a -75% heal debuff and a -50% damage debuff. kinda like a Reverse Bolster. but it applies correctly and doesn't scale and bs with lvls. its a straight debuff across the board. this means that they don't have to "balance" pvp as often. simply because a mage(at one point in wow history this was actaully possible in pvp.) cannot go in and one shot everybody with a AOE Frost Storm or a Fireball. (wow is prolly a bad example. but i don't play alot of MMO's anymore. so i work with what i know.) now again in wow they have Mortal Strike and it puts a trauma like debuff on the target for 20 seconds reducing heals incoming by 50% more. so if your being focused its much harder for a healer to keep you up. however only 3? classes have it. and its normally on a 30-45 second cooldown. so its not OP. (also keep in mind. in wow pvp its 10 vs 10, 20 vs 20, or 40 vs 40, and you normally have a large pool of classes to choose form. so flavorful is the way.) Now Mind you. I have not said anything about Stuns / Resolve Bar, Roots, Snares, and the like. I'm interested in seeing if they can / will Fix the Damage / Heals Issue. or at least Mitigate it some. I feel like the Damage Reduction Part of Taunt for pvp should be more like a dot. that sticks. i mean a 6 second window to reduce a targets damage is pretty small. thats 3 or 4 attacks. roughly. and at least two dot ticks. with damage as high as it is currently. this would be an acceptable option in my mind to bring damage down. i mean limit it one taunt debuff at a time. and you could have the aoe taunt debuff only last 12 seconds. seeing as it can hit a whole group at once. (Example being your against 3 targets, you can single taunt one. and group taunt right after. but the group taunt will only effect the two without a taunt. so it cannot stack. and your taunts go on Cooldown for at least 12 seconds. but if you taunt someone else. the debuff removes from the OG Target.) just like the Sniper Engineers interrogation probe. damage vs spec vs skill I dunno what folks will do with this. we have no baseline and folks play on all types of PC's. being that everything is not equal in that respect there will always be differeneces. and those differences in hardware will translate into skill and ability. if your lagging or your graphics card is stuttering then your gonna get smoked. because to everyone else your running into a wall. or standing still. with pvp skill. all the mobile classes do better. and have higher damage. (too me this is wrong. if your a stationary target you should be big Iron) again folks that are skilled at kiting, and with class abilitys that allow it, will steamroll melee or other ranged with no clue how to combat kiting. as for specs. all the internal damage specs out shine every other spec in pvp. because they don't need Acc, and they skip defences, shields, and absorbs. so every spec that doesn't have internal damage is SoL. my personal fav class is Arsenal Merc. was my first class and still my prefered. we have 3 Dots. and 2 slows. Electro net has a 1.5 min Cooldown and only lasts 10 seconds. and can be CC Broken. most folks will CC Break when Electro Net'd. our other is a 2 second per hit from Unload / blazing bolts. so its kinda worthless. if you take the Tactical. you get 18k dot from Priming Shot, Electro Net for 10 seconds. and Fusion Missile(i have forgotten what Fusions Dot is and how long it is. my bad). Now I'm not Great with Numbers, but I'm pretty sure I cannot kill anyone with those 3 dots. last time I checked I have to toss in at least 7? tracers, 1 Missile Blast. 2-3 More Priming Shots, 3 blazing Bolt Channels. and 2-4 heatseekers / and railshots. with Gas Cylinder On Top for Crit Chance. to kill one person with no DCD's.
  11. doesn't work. I've been online and playing for most of today. around 10 or so hours. I que Solo. every time i que, reguardless of the spec I choose. or the Toon. it has put me against the same two Pre-mades. one team is 6 ranged and 2 melee. and the other team is 4 melee and 4 ranged. all Sorcs, Juggs, Maras, and Sins. with a Merc Healer. i'm a Causal Player. my guild is mostly gone. and i dislike the Jumbo Guilds. for my own Reasons. weekdays i'm limited to prime time. so i accept that i will be steamrolled if I que with a Friend or by myself. but today is BullHockey.. 4 different toons. over 30 matches. in the last two hours i finally snapped. I started leaving matches. and then waiting 35-40 mins to reque. and it still puts me against the same team. No Pre-made. 2+ should be put against a Normal Solo Que Team. Ever.

    Self-Heals

    I like this Thread. I vote to Remove all Heals from all Specs that are not Healers. I vote to allow Dot Specs to Steal Life from Targets Giving them The Only Self Heals ingame. I Vote To have All Healers in PvP have a Debuff that Reduces Healing Output by 50% no matter what. I Vote to have all Taunts Debuff Extended to 18 Seconds like a DOT Effect. I Vote to have all Dps Specs Damage reduced by 65% in warzones. like the healer debuff above. I Vote that tanks defence Mechanics should be looked at. and Internal damage should be Mitigated by Defence. I vote Tanks should only be able to Wear / Use Defence Gear in Warzones. (dps / heals would be limited to power gear.) I Know and Understand alot of folks will hate this, and pick it apart. but if they started with this. and Balanced from there. Pvp wouldn't suck so bad. my reasons are kinda simple. if healers need tanks to stay alive. and tanks / dps need healers to stay alive. and dps is required to focus target in order to bring down enemies. then this Forces you to play together, instead of the BS 1v1 me bro crap we have in pvp right now.

  15. you may be right again there may not be 50 teams on any server or even all servers. would make it cheaper for BW to hold the tourney then. lol as for not queing Ranks i merely restate above...I'm an Arsenal Merc. on my server or any server a dps Merc is a no go for Ranks. you simply don't do it unless you want to get Roflstomped off the Servers. i'm not attacking you or your idea. just trying to apply some logic. and maybe come up with a better idea or at least one more worth while.
  16. pretty sure you wanted the Event for Older players...but its Open to newer players..you keep inviting folks to try it out. you seem to want to spark an interest in ranked 8v8, and by making it an event its open to all..and i believe you said that in an earlier post. so my statement stands. what fool would want to get Roflstomped? Tourney Doesn't Have to be a one time thing. and you maybe right that EA/BW cannot Afford a Flyout Tourney. However The Tourney is New, and Different, and Offers New Items, That are Rare as in only 12 to 24 People can Obtain Per Server. That will bring out enough of an *** Kicking that any Fool Should be Content. If BW Took out EV, or any of the lvl 50 Ops people would be like, Totally Meh. would not change anything, merely one less Op to get Basic Comms from. even if you enter the op at 50 when you leave you'd be lvl 51-52, depending on Xp Buffs. pointless and a waste of time. I Personally think nobody would care much. and if they did it would only be because they failed to loot a mount or take screen shots of the inside. or maybe finish acheesements. Please Understand, Your Idea is a good one. I personally just don't see the Appeal. and I Personally don't think its the Correct response / answer / solution. as i stated a Tourney is much better Suited..and would Bring back Plenty of Players. even if only for one Arena Season each year.
  17. i'm curious why the OP thinks a bunch oh Lowbies, Noobs, Casuals, Or even HC PvPers will think getting RoflStomped in 8v8 Rankeds will be fun for all their Friends. I'm Old school, and stubborn. Arsenal Merc since Launch. and i damn sure wouldn't bother with the event. i love to pvp, and i run solo all the time and with groups when able. but Ranked is out of the question. PvPers don't need an Event. they need a Real Tourny. Top 50 Ranked 4V4 Teams from each Server, Fly them to wondercon or w/e and have them duke it out double Elim style and then the top three teams for each server get Titles, Pets, Mounts, and maybe a special rare never see again suit of armor of their choice. then have those top teams finish it for top overall Server Battle Royale. top three winning teams again get titles, pets, mounts, and another suit of super rare never see again armor. and call it a day.

Mari and Fasc, looked over the whole thread, i have seen the question asked a couple times, i'm very curious. being an Arsenal merc myself from the get go, having checked your parses and threads, knowing your rotations and attempting to duplicate them, and seeming to Fail. i'm dieing to know your Exact Gear, every peice. every mod, aug, enhance, all of it. i've tried everything i can think of and i cannot break 3700 dps with your rotations. i understand NDA's if your gear is pts. thats fine but your arsenal parses just seem insane. and your IO's even more so.

Electro net is a auto winner, start out the fight with it..and use on CD... other than that..i agree with above poster...its resource waste...you really can't stop healing an cast that much. if you can...then more power to ya. anything instant an small isn't a bad idea. but honestly they nerfed the damage on Missle blast, explo dart, unload is 24 heat now, powershot is a joke. so i mean options are limited. every little bit helps but its not really anything big you can do. oh and they nerfed the **** out of Fusion missle. so thats out too.

I have played Merc since Launch. pvped since launch. in all honesty its not worth it. i'm a stubborn cuss so i still play it. but its like beating your head against the wall. on JC nobody wants a merc on their ranked team. and your always first target in pvp...even if your going against an idiot group. they just seem to wander over to you so you get burned down. so having said that. if your stubborn like me and set on pvping merc. then your looking for some basics.. 20-25% crit depending on what you like, 70-72% surge, 104% tech acc (95% main hand acc) and the rest aim and power. with your augments you can run half and half. but i prefer Full Mainstat. as i run light on Crit. i'm still testing with crit. hope that helps.

I have one of each tank class, i play them evenly. i'm trying to figure Best in Slot Relics atm. not sure what to use for my Jugg. i've been using the Absorb Procs with the Absorb and shield Clicky. i keep reading something about the new Pvp Warding Relic. but i cannot find anything that says these two relics (names) are best in slot for Jugg / PT / Sin. if anyone knows or has some input would love to hear it.

Fusion + Electro Net Tracer, Rapid Shots, HeatSeeker, Unload, Tracer, Rapid Shots, Filler, Unload Tracer, Rapid Shots, RailShot, Unload Tracer, Rapid, Fusion, Unload Tracer, Rapid, HeatSeeker, Unload okies my rotation is pretty air tight. I Know Unload is Listed each time. if it does not proc then i can't use it...so don't say anything stupid please.... I always try to use a heavy hitter with each Tracer and i use Rapid shots when my heat gets over 25. if i keep to this order my heat never gets over 15. so i'm always good to go. also i make sure that Railshot is my Third heavy hitter every time so i don't waste Buff Stacks from Tracer. Heatseeker, Fusion, RailShot, Electro Net are Heavy Hitters, Damage Ranges from 2900 to 9000. Unload Catches 8000 - 13000 Damage Rapid Shots is chump change damage however it keeps the heat low. Filler Attacks are Rocket Punch, and Flame Thrower if your Close, Missle Blast, Explosive Dart, Sweeping Blasters, and last but not Least Death From Above. normally after the Rotation Starts and i get into the Second Cycle i no longer need a filler. however depending on the fight and or extra mobs Fillers are boss. all my Damage numbers have come from Mox.
  24. you know in all honesty...as a Merc we're supposed to be a Mobile Missile platform.... I for one don't really feel that way...and Missiles are supposed to be hard and fast hitting projectiles that obilterate their targets...again not something that i really feel as a Arsenal Merc. my missiles suck.. i run over 1290 Tech power.(giving my tech abilitys a bonus 909.something damage boost)..in almost Full wh and fully Augmented.. and i rarely hit over 4k...i barely break 3.8k with Hsm. our damage sucks.
  25. nah your not blind...i was pvping while forum surfing...my games the other night where horribad...so i kinda was like screw it..and was posting..so i did not post everything. my unload is my heavy hitter...for the most part...i mean if an assassin pops his defence cooldowns it basicly kills all my attacks for those 4-5 seconds. if a mara pops his same thing. i don't recall numbers for mara's / sents..but for shadows and assassins we're talking between 0-25 damage for every attack i have.
