  1. Considering that the entirety of KOTFE has so far been another round of Bioware's ''illusion of choice'', I'm not expecting anything big, certainly not that I would be given a possibly meaningful choice in who ultimately ends up ruling the Eternal Empire, how the hell would they even do that with subsequent content? As for Vaylin, I wouldn't look for too much there, most likely she is what she appears to be, a one dimensional lunatic who destroys everything in her mad bid for power.
  2. This is exactly why I make full use of it while it's here. Before it I had 3 characters above 50, the rest around 20, now I have 8 characters above 50, with the ninth nearing 50. The planetary quests were to me, interesting, for both Empire and Republic.. but that was on the first playthrough in both factions, then you suddenly make 7 alts and do Dromund Kaas/Coruscant 7 times in a row, along with realizing that you'll have to drag through all the planetary lines on all characters, yeah... 12x XP ftw.
  3. I could be wrong, but I am pretty damn sure I heard Malgus's voice in that trailer. Seriously, are we going to have to fight every iconic character this game was promoted with? First Malgus, now Vizla.
  4. Well, I can say one thing I've noticed, you'll have more trouble gearing, that is assuming you even use orange gear with mods, rather then green or blue gear you pick up. Normally, doing all the sidequests will net you plenty of Planetary Commendations to regularly update your gear for the higher level foes you now face, with this event, and not doing sidequests, I noticed I hardly get any commendations unless I do flashpoint dailies and warzone commendation turn ins. So, in short, you'll have a harder time gearing if you use mods, and once quests become grey, all XP they would normally give, is lost.
  5. On one hand, I agree, on the other, I'd hate to lose my names just because I lost interest in the game for a while, before I caught wind of this 12x class XP thing, I had not played for well over 6 months, even though I kept myself subscribed, I'd hate to return and see my names lost, it would not help in making me want to play again.
  6. I'd play normally if I was new, this event I imagine is mostly meant for people who already have a few max level characters, I had 3 50+ characters before this event, and am now making full use of this 12x class XP event to level the other characters I had all sitting around 20, the side quests are interesting and nice to go through once, but quickly becoming tedious as you level up alts. The first time the planetary quest lines, and even the random side quests, are fun to do, but even the second time you realize you -have- to do them again, because the obstacle to just sticking to story missions only has always been that they out level you very quickly.
  7. What I find annoying though is that the Revanites.. the very people I wanted to see more off since I considered my Sith Warrior to be one of them, were used by Revan without us being able to have any choice regarding it, yes, it was a small side story as a nod to Revan, but, I want the option to join Revan, just like how I would have preferred to have been able to choose to side with Malgus. >.> Last time I checked, choice had always been an important thing in Bioware games.
  8. As far as I am concerned they need to leave Revan the hell alone, there is nothing further they could do with him that won't piss KoTOR players, like me, off more, it's bad enough that Revan and the Exile got canonized. My Revan is a female dark sider and always will be. >.>
  9. Soooo the Old Republic Era is safe? Time to bring out the popcorn and watch the tears.
  10. Having played Crossfire myself for quite a while, I can't say I'm surprised, everything that isn't the basic equipment is paid for. Things from flashy guns, to character addons like backpacks, hats, kneecaps, entire new character models are all paid for, not to mention their ''slot machines''.
  11. There is more profit in catering to everyone, then to cater to people who got what they paid for when they pre-ordered.
  12. The only place you should ever get game time is either retail, or from an official EA site. (SWTOR.com, Origin.com)
  13. This, get in close and you literally take most of the gunships firepower away.
  14. It's a sniper ship, killing you from afar is the entire point of the ship. I get killed by scouts all the time while sniping, and the way I see it, that's fine as they are scouts, they are supposed to be able to deal with gunships.
  15. Ehhh, I don't see why I should care.. o.o Whether the Old Republic era is canon or not really doesn't make me enjoy KoTOR, TSL and SWTOR any less. Sure, it would be nice to see a subtle nod to for example Revan on screen, but let's be realistic, that's not happening anyhow.
  16. I'd prefer more flashpoints over Ops. But then, I don't think I'll ever touch Ops, being the usual ''voice chat required'' raid like content.
  17. For me: Best: Alderaan and Taris, Alderaan because I love how the map looks and because I love the music, Taris, KoTOR, I love just about every thing you do there that involves the aftermath of what Malak did to that world. Worst: Tatooine, Quesh, Balmorra, all of these are worlds that make it reasonably hard to motivate myself to get a character through them, more then once have I let a character sit in the spaceport of Tatooine to play an alt on Coruscant or a maxed alt instead, eventually the luring promise of Alderaan get's me through Tatooine, but I've not once enjoyed that dustball. I honestly don't care how iconic Tatooine is, I find it a terrible, terrible planet to go through.
  18. I'm pretty sure most races have additional options in the appearance editor, I've seen cyborg's have plenty more choice of cybernetics for example. Though that could be because I have a 55 cyborg.
  19. Yeah, and sometimes you have to accept that things aren't going as they should, I hardly think it's supposed to be ''premade steamrolling randoms'' all day long. Randoms will never have the coordination and teamwork that a premade team has.
  20. Clearly you do not, as SWTOR does not classify as such. Maintenance mode generally means a ceasing of development, reducing a game to one where the most effort that is put in, is exactly in what the term suggests, maintenance, server upkeep, no further updates or content additions to be made. Again, SWTOR does not fall into that.
  21. Exactly my point, we only just had the early access of GSF, with 2.6 being the live launch of GSF. To be on topic, I wouldn't really be opposed to cross server queues as long as it remains in the same region, EU servers crossing with other EU servers for example. Tomb of Freedon Nadd also has plenty activity from what I can see in maps, GF can take a while while queuing as a DPS, but then, that's what you get for playing DPS.
  22. Do you even have the slightest clue of what maintenance mode means?
  23. I'm pretty sure SWTOR is still here, if it wasn't successful/profitable, it would have closed. Now, if you mean, it wasn't as successful as they had envisioned, I can only agree.
  24. There's only one Darth Nox, only one Emperor's Wrath, please keep in mind that story and game play differ. At best all these other inquisitor's you speak off are their own little alternate universes, each of us makes the story our own with our own decisions.
  25. Race doesn't matter for an Inquisitor, you're referred to as a slave early on no matter you're race. My Inquisitor is a Cathar, female, and yes, the female voice is infinitely better then the male one.
