  1. I was at a Community Cantina once and it was mentioned that the most hilarious dialogue from the Bounty Hunter missions comes from Gault. When I first took a look at the BH companions I admit I didn't make too much of him and Mako seems deeply connected to the class storyline (as are most of the classes' first companions). Who do you take with you and why? Asking not just from an efficiency/survivability standpoint - all reasons are welcome.
  2. Just starting out as an agent and debating AC/roles for a little later down the road and wondered what companions you enjoy having with you for the different specs/roles. From leveling a DPS Sorcerer and Shadow I found that while I could try to play with nearly every companion but if I was purely DPS the ranged tanks tended to die quickly. I have tried to avoid any spoilers but the enigmatic SCORPIO seems like a great companion to have - can she cruise around with Operatives or is she best for Snipers?
  3. ***Mild Plot Spoilers*** Actually no, you will encounter a major villain at the end of the first act that will put an end to the plague storyline. The adversaries you face later in the game are sleeper agents so the theme of possession continues but you are, for the most part, not expected or encouraged to heal them
  4. Whew, very relieved. I'm probably influenced by my experiences in other MMOs with people critiquing class specialization in random groups.
  5. Really, really loving the customization features added to the game. I tend to make strong RP choices for my characters and I like that customization will help them progress. Also I tend to AGONIZE over every detail when creating a character and it's nice to know I can change my mind When I created my Consular I thought he was a little too vanilla so I gave him a scar. In my "head canon" he received it after his first fight with a Sith. Now if I played him again I could start off with a smooth face and add the scar at the right moment. Similarly with a Mirialan I think it would be interesting to add tattoos at key growth points in the story. Also the first time I went through the Tatooine storyline I thought it wold have been interesting to give a character one of the "sunburn" complexions just for the planet. I would probably never give a character a permanent sunburn but like that customization gives me the chance to mess around and give a character a five o'lccok shadow and some dirt on an especially war-torn world. Thanks Bioware!
  6. Hello all, second complete newb Knight question of the day. I started a knight and was torn between leveling as Mirialan male or female. I'm pretty balanced in terms of gender among my classes. I started with a female. My idea for this character is that s/he is at time brash and unmerciful to Sith and Imperial vanquished foes but ultimately a Light Side warrior. I liked both of the voices - I did wonder if the female voice might be just a little too sweet. I know nothing about romance other than my options are Kira and Doc... do people have strong feelings about the two of them? Oh and before someone posts the "whose butt would you rather stare at as you level?" I will just say that really isn't something I consider for my characters.
  7. It's funny I went through the same thing. At first I was annoyed that my companion for so much of the game was a guy who didn't speak basic and didn't like my Neutral aligned Sorcerer. Here is my advice to you: Take Ashara with you on Planetary Missions and Khem Val on your class Missions. Like you I enjoyed having Ashara as my "apprentice" because she made me feel like "See a Sith can do what she likes and not be a psycho." Most of Khem's interaction comes in during your class quests. He really is deeply tied to your character's journey. Also be sure to alternate grabbing gear for the two of them.
  8. Hi all, COMPLETELY new to knights here and I have a question about selecting Advanced classes. My goal for my knight is just to play through the storyline and have fun, I'm not planning on having this character be my main or do any sort of Operations. Here's my thing: I really like the iconic look/feel of a Jedi wielding one lightsaber. I know that the two saber style looks cool, and I even got used to the saberstaff on my Consular. I also have no special interest in tanking... so I imagined that I would level as a DPS guardian and just not be the favorite person in the occasional flashpoint I do. Is leveling a DPS guardian fun? Has anyone enjoyed themselves doing this?
  9. My apologies for causing confusion. The reason I titled this thread: Darth Titles was because I (incorrectly) assumed that the Darth Whateveris title given by the Dark Council would be available form my dropdown menu. When I took my Inquisitor to Makeb she was greeted in the cinematic as Darth Imperious (I completely missed it the first time) so apparently being Light Side I qualifies you for Imperious. At some RP level I think I was hoping I was neutral enough to be Occulus but: As someone pointed out in this thread it ultimately does not make a big difference. My playstyle that resulted in being Light I (favoring order over psychotic rage) fits the title of Imperious. And I see that in terms of gameplay it would be awkward to let multiple Inquisitors have the same title (there were three of us in the last flashpoint I ran). Big thanks to those in this thread that cleared that up.
  10. *possible spoilers* Hi all, I noticed that there were three titles one might receive upon completing the Inquisitor storyline dependent on your moral alignment. I played fairly close to neutral most of the way through but finished the storyline with Thanaton at Light Side I. I didn't see any of the titles available to me, is that because I wasn't light enough to be Imperious or truly neutral enough to be Occulus?
  11. There are opportunities. The one that first springs to mind is that you are always given the chance to show mercy to a defeated foe. Perhaps your consular takes betrayal very badly and offs all of your opponents. Also pre-battle conversations with enemies often have a "Shut up and die" option. You are generally not going to go ballistic at the general populace of quest givers - the consular is mystical and intellectual so his unfriendly choices with those characters will be more in the realm of "I can't believe how simple-minded you are"
  12. I quite assuredly did not, but clearly should have picked "This is inappropriate" when I had the chance. Doing a bit of research I found a number of people who also stumbled into the romance or were confused as to whether or not they weer actually married after the final Nadia mission. In contrast I feel like my female Inquisitor was given the option to turn down marriage in the end.
  13. Hi all, not sure if this is the correct spot for a suggestion but here goes. I managed to accidentally end up with my companion (Nadia). I never chose a flirt option or anything else that seemed to me to be romantic but - my bad, totally walked right into that one. I was really hoping there would be an option to call it quits but seemingly all toads lead to marriage. So I'm stuck with one last companion mission to complete with Nadia but I'm not going to finish it as I don't wish to marry her. I remember there was quite a bit of talk around the SGRAs about making sure they were completely intentional - and that always struck me as odd because I assumed you had to pick [flirt] to initiate something like that. Would love to have the option to end a relationship in the game.
  14. That is so incredibly irritating. All the talk about SGRAs involved making sure players didn't accidentally instigate something but I'm stuck marrying Nadia? I guess I just have to leave the mission permanently unfinished.
