  1. Ah so the point of new fun is that BW takes away what you already have, tells you to go and search for it again, and then you can have it. WOW <sarcasm>. NO THANKS.
  2. I do not agree to lose my companions that I worked for and earned. I spent months on teaching them proper crew skills across my legacy of 16 characters, and spent millions of credits to let them learn every schematic for their specific crew skill, as well as learned all blue and purple ones I needed. This was my time and money invested in my crew, and I want to have them all. Not to mention HK-51 and Treek for which I paid CC and did the quests to get them. There is no way I can think of that any of you guys should agree to lose your crew of companions. This is sc****** our accomplishments with all disregard that BW always showed us, and we must say NO to this.
  3. Ok guys let me add my two cents to the discussion. I'm no expert at GSF, so my experiences could be common for any fairly inexperienced Strike Fighter pilot flying T1 SFs. 1. As soon as I boost out to reach my target, and fly about 20000 distance, I'm out of engine power. I need all the engine power (and the appropriate upgrades) I can get on my ship to be able to reach a satellite or a fighting line (mid), and then I'm exhausted and cannot fight back any immediate attackers until I rebuild my engine power. 2. While pursuing an enemy I tend to choose other SFs, satellite defenses, mines, drones because they are the only easy (slow, immobile or squishy) targets. Gunships shoot me (or disable with Ion gun) usually before I get to a proper distance (or they fly away and I don't have the engine power needed to go after them). Scouts outmaneuver me, and the only chance to kill them is Cluster missile spam. As soon as they realize they are under attack, and manage to boost away, I'm usually forced to seek out another target. So choosing a target that is already after someone else is a way to maximize my chances that the victim will be distracted enough for me to have a chance of succeeding. Against bombers, even if I fire successfully shot after shot, I usually run out of weapon power until I destroy the bomber. Often, my attack is broken because I realize I became someone else's target: a gunship shot, a lock-on sound, a sudden loss of air pressure in the cockpit is usually a good sign I should take my leave and seek shelter (or prepare for respawn). 3. My best weapons are Heavy Laser Cannon and Cluster Missiles with the increased magazine. Other options are rather useless. I would need faster turning to be able to dogfight better, but I have to give up turning engines for more engine power. The latter at least allows me to reach a satellite and win it for a short moment when it is unguarded. If the satellite is under attack by the enemy it's usually a lost cause - then I try to fight the defenses, possible immobile targets, for which I can temporarily give up engine power for the weapon boost (F1/F3 switch). Because I lose weapon power too fast to be able to hold ground in a prolonged blaster fight. I would welcome more engine and weapon power as a basic improvement in addition to making other missile or weapon options a viable choice. I don't think that primary weapons need an upgrade on their own. But missiles do. Maybe missiles should generally ignore evasion once locked on target, that would help all missile users, and it would make other defense options (armor upgrades) more viable. If evasion were a countermeasure against blasters and damage reduction a countermeasure against missiles, then the health upgrade would work against both weapon types and neither would be overpowered. Cheers
  4. I think the bug appears again, after last update all my legacy sets do not show their arkanian set bonuses (but some grant the bonus). Since the bonus is associated with the Arkanian armoring and not the original shell, they should be displayed and applied correctly even if put into legacy or any other gear shell.
  5. Of course you should preorder to get xp buff! Don't "waste time" leveling up like we all did before... Now when I think about it, why don't they just sell XP packs for CC, which could just give your character (or legacy! yay!) the XP to get 1 level up for a few thousands of CC. Since getting 1200% boost for early money is almost the same. ;->
  6. Such a pity that EAware developers never listen to well backed-up opinions from their paying cutomers. Maybe they are so bored that want SWTOR project to go down in flames so they can do something new and more interesting.
  7. I think the new discipline system also leaves a very narrow choice of abilities. Maybe the real gameplay will prove otherwise, but whenever I study the abilities available for a sorc, I always end upo choosing exactly the same options, because they are too good to miss. So it's a false choice again. When we can only choose 7, and have to spend 5 pts already just to get to those Heroic abilities, the "cast while moving" ability always wins. The choices should be more equally rewarding, but fitting into a play style. There are very few which strengthen each other, or work in pair, so the choice would be obvious even for a blind monkey. This is not the level of entern\tainment that we, paying customers, often adults, require from developers. If you are 4th MMO that earns the most money on the market, where do you put all this money into? Because obviously not into the content of patches and expansions we get.
  8. IMHO the commendation reset is one of very few things I actually like about 3.0 I think the following exchange rates would be drastic enough: 10 Planetary -> 1 new Basic 8 Classic -> 1 new Basic 6 Basic -> 1 new Basic 4 Elite -> 1 new Basic 2 Ultimate -> 1 new Basic Probaly new dailies and weeklies (60) will grant new Elite and few Ultimate comms, new HM content will give even more new E&U comms, and the new entry level Basic gear (supposedly 186) will be dropping from SM content. So it should not be too hard to gear up with this. But not too easy too.
  9. Using euphemisms, which really do cover my hate speech hidden between the verses, I can safely say that I would play all the way until level 50/55/60 MUCH EASIER AND FASTER simply being able to use FASTER speeders and already at level 1. Going from point A to point B is what takes time, not fighting (unless you try to solo heroics). No game mechanic needs to be adjusted - only the speeders. From what I remember in the Return of the Jedi movie, they were A LITTLE faster than 90% of a person running...
  10. Come on man, haven't you learned yet that they do not fix the bugs, only introduce new? That they do not provide the changes people want, but only those that all-knowing department of content control likes? I actually learned those sad facts after 2.5 years of playing this game...
  11. - I should just quit and thus get over the changes that break the system...
  12. "I will finish what I have started" I have a bad feeling, that it means the LAST big patch. And announces the end of SWTOR. Even though the game makes money, the content team has clearly run out of ideas. It''s so schematic now. A patch, new CC stuff, a tactical FP, one small area...nothing more. And there will be no more. New story content is so lame and silly, that I just want to sit and cry. We have already hundreds of items, sets and achievements from CC and in game. I can't remeber them all and will never get 100% of everything. The old FPs, OPSs and class story is so much better, fun and intriguing than the content we've been offered after the Dread Masters' demise. Nothing will beat them, because those writers left to ESO or just out of BW/EA SM marriage. Especially not crappy self contradicting story plot of "revanite revolution". I want the game to continue, but it looks like they are going to close it soon. Nothing major any more after 3.0. If 3.0 is ever released. Considering the state of our knowledge about Makeb prior to its release, the time we learned about it, 3.0 will not become available for early access even in February 2015. How many tiny patches shall we get to nort forget what is going on with silent Revan-guy... 2.20 to come? maybe... It's all happening, and you don't even have a clue, do you??
  13. Since you haven't actualy proposed what I thought you would have by reading the title, here's my addition: Let there be a Stronghold Dye Module/Kit enabling you to change the colour of the walls/ceiling/floor. Make it black - everyone will buy. Another thing is adjustable light kits - you can change the colour and the amount of light produced by them. That would be great.
  14. I could not agree more with you. No BOE or BOP items from FP vendors! They should all be BOL, like other (older) FP area rewards: Gree, Czerka, Oricon etc etc. Everything else is just there to encourage farming for drops and is just plain lame. 1. We should have a rep organisation for the whole story Arc. 2. Access to rewards should be given based on your reputation within the organisation. 3. All armors and weapons BOL, the same for vehicles and pets so you can trade them with your legacy.
  15. I have one comment for you idnewton: stop trolling.
