  1. I ticketed this on Dec 29, got an answer this morning. Mine is fixed. My friend, however, posted his ticket on Dec 28th, and today received an email stating that his class quests were all finished and could not be completed since he had started KOTFE. This is simply not true. He put in the ticket when he was level 33, on Alderaan, and has leveled to 65 doing other quests. He has NOT started KOTFE, specifically because he wants to see his companion stories and his character's story. What else can we do here? Put in another ticket and wait ANOTHER MONTH? This is a returning player, and a sub, who has seen all his enthusiasm pissed away by this issue. Way to go.
  2. Hatred is for Assassins, as are double-bladed lightsabers.
  3. It seems this hasn't been brought up for a long time, and I don't see an official response, so: Is it feasible from a coding perspective to allow us to reset companion conversations? I somehow managed to miss or mess up the romance option with Kaliyo, and I'd really like to get a do-over. I wouldn't even mind if affection was reset to 0 and/or I had to do her quests again. Thanks!
  4. Apologies if this is in the wrong place. I'm a lousy-to-fair pilot, just starting out, and while I very much enjoy playing GSF, the solo game is frustrating. If you're looking for a freelance pilot, hit me up in-game. I have a headset and I'll install and set up whatever voice chat software you use. I like teamwork and kittens. The only catch is that I can't leave my guild. --Gustadt Ebon Hawk, Republic
  5. The ion cannon version of the railgun seems to do barely more shield damage than the slug railgun, and of course only a small amount of hull damage. What am I missing? Is there a benefit to switching between the two guns, other than slightly better shield damage?
  6. I have absolutely NO problem with honest and legitimate criticism, constructive or otherwise, angry or otherwise. That's not what I'm talking about. Not everyone complaining is doing so because of the reasons you have listed, or for any other valid reason other than a lot of people just like to complain about anything they can to anyone that will listen. I would say that I'm sorry you don't see it, but I'm actually glad for you that you don't see it, because I wish I didn't.
  7. Back when I played WoW, there was mention of a "dance studio" feature that never materialized, which would have let you choose new and different dances for your characters. Months, even years afterwards, the dance studio was often trotted out and held up as an example of Blizzard making promises they can't keep and how they hate roleplayers and how they waste time with stupid crap instead of giving backrubs to the PVP community, etc. In an interview, one of the devs said the same thing, that they shouldn't have even talked about it until it was ready, and he got a similar response as yours: this must mean it was NEVER real! He explained it like this, and I'm quoting from memory: "Imagine you're a rabbit in a cage--and I know this is a terrible analogy for our customers--but imagine you're a rabbit in a cage, and every day you push a lever and a piece of lettuce comes out. You eat the lettuce, you love the lettuce, and life is good. Then one day you push the lever and a piece of carrot comes out. You're not sure what to make of this new thing, but you eat it and you like it and life is good. The next day you push the lever and you get lettuce again, the exact same lettuce as you always had before, only now you're wondering where the carrot is. And even though you were never unhappy with the lettuce before, you'll always wonder why you can't get carrot again. And then you come to the forums and rage about it." Okay, so I added that last line, but the point is simple: they shouldn't have talked about it because it has turned out to be a huge complaint with their customers, and their inability to deliver it (which I maintain is for legitimate reasons, such as preventing the utter annihilation of the game itself) leads to speculation such as "They haven't delivered it yet because it was always a lie!" It's just the nature of the business mixed in with a little hindsight. On an unrelated note, your theory of "it hasn't happened yet because it was never going to happen" is a great way to liven up a dull morning at Sunday School...
  8. This game has never deserved the sheer amount of hate that it has gotten from day one. I understand disappointment, because there were some promises made that have yet to be fulfilled, and I understand annoyance and even anger at some of the issues the game has had (and still has), but I have never understood why so many people WANT this to fail.
  9. Your arguments are terrible, but really all I want to say to you is that my 7-year-old stepdaughter knows how many periods go at the end of a sentence, and also how many are in an ellipsis, but you don't. The only term I can think of for guys like you, who think that a "game" that they "play" should be like "work", would get me banned.
  10. I used to listen to Pandora or my MP3's on other games, but SWTOR already pushes my CPU pretty hard and it's not practical any more. So, I'd really like to hear the game's music instead of the long, long, long stretches of dead air that I get now.
  11. Romancing Vette as DS is no problem as long as you give her gifts. We got married just before I hit Dark IV. But if she thinks she can change me, she got another thing coming.
  12. Reinforced Chanlon Chestguard has the same appearance, but it's reddish.
