I did did False emperor a few hour ago and it seems Malgus is bugged: we got him on the five try the first 2 try complete wipe in one attack the third time I was the only one left (Merc Healer), the tank,a sith shadow, was at 80% and the 2 DPS (a sniper and a specialist) were full life like me. Those 3 got one shot by one instant cast (no warning or anything). the fourth time Malgus start using his lightining at 20% of his life...wipe (before he use it was at 15%) the five time , we move him at 25%, up to 15% nothing, after his cast was canalized, we could interrupt him and we bump him (we could still dps him, so no invulnerability) victory! Except that none of us understood what happen. Either bugged or a new mechanism made by sadist
  2. And second last in PVP for medals. The scoundrel in your team own you completely in all other aspect. Compared to the others healers (in the two teams) : first in damage, first in kills, 0 death, first in medals. Well he didn't heal much (350k less), but he was useful for more than healing or the merc heal can only heal and to be objective, in this play, your commando had a huge advantage: most enemies being healer and having other heal to help you, you could heal easily as much as you want. Commando heal is too much stationary, the 15% damage mitigation doesn't covert with how much damage we take (PVP or PVE) and we have little option to deal with those: move and don't heal until we are safe (or too little to change anything with the auto or purge and the big instant heal being most of the time in cooldown. The aoe heal is far too weak and is too costly in resource) take it hoping than a team-mate will save us (with a pull or by taking aggro)
  3. Two force user, one using willpower and the other with strength so that i can make use of those really rare loot that I can't sell at good price because they are BOP. It sucks to sell those to an NPC at ridiculous low price. To be fair Tech user character should get force user companion because we get a advantage at stuffing companion: half of our companion can be stuffed with our scrap. Jedi and sith on the other way got a least one companion for each stat to stuff. As for their personality something that fit the bounty hunter type : greedy, will do anything for money even kill or spare someone. Gault was almost good but since he dislike violence it wasn't perfect. Torian has is annoying code (and got no personality when you play a male BH (does his romance save him? because he could be not here anymore and it will not be a lost), skadge has no brain, mako and blizz are far too nice to be around a BH. It seem HK-47 will fit that role. Else a companion who hate the republic could be nice too (just to remind me that I am playing Empire)
  4. I also feel that 'something' is missing to make my mercenary useful and enjoyable as a healer. I understand that each heal class has his pro and cons, but the pro of the mercenary heal aren't enough against his cons. Actually with his strong defence, his single target Hot (Kolto shell), and his powerful single target healing the mercenary is a good "bodyguard" like the heal tree of the same name suggest. But that only work if the mercenary has to handle only one person (and eventually himself). That means that the only efficient place I can think for a mercenary healer is in OP when there is a second healer (not a merc) handling the rest of the group. That is way too much restrictive. All the other place (Flashpoint, PVE, PVP) need a healer to work on the whole group, and asking that of a merc will put him overheat in no time unless he is far above the level (class level or gear level). If somehow all damage was taken by the tank it will be different but lot of bosses have random player attach or reset of hatred level in their attack pattern and PVP being PVP their is no way that only the tank will be attacked. So either give : the merc utility as a group healer (bigger and stronger aoe, Hot, shield ...) make easier for him to heal one target at the time (a jump to the ally, an accelerator (so that the merc can more easily go to the one in danger since he can't put preventive shield/HoT), a few more cheap instant heal at low cost (again to compensate shield/HoT )) if none of the above can be done because it will make the class without identities (compared to the other heal), the merc will need entirely new mechanism. Example: either make kolto shell or a new power put a special status on the target like "VIP : that player is currently protected by a mercenary"and change/add healing to make them more effective/less costly on VIP. Changing of VIP will be costly in term of heat and with a cooldown (except when VIP died (in PVP for example)). Other mecanism could be added around VIP: the mercenary has to be 5 meter of less away from his VIP for full effect (to put in use his armor). If you are at less than 5 meter from your VIP, your energy shield cover you and your VIP when activated. Heal that heal both the VIP and the merc. A jumping abilities to go back to the VIP (if you or your VIP has pushed/pulled) Active defense (inflicting damage to whoever attack the VIP)/reflective shield........ Okay this whole VIP idea could pretty much means: "make a new healer class" but without that much change it will be too easy to compare the merc to his competitors. That proposition main idea was to maintain the VIP pretty much to full health at low cost allowing for room to use heal on the others in the group or to do some DPS but with heat cost increased. (Put all the heat management to try to save the others player and himself in the group instead of trying to handle everyone).
  5. Especially when writing a bug report in the affiliated windows. It's discouraging to have a "Due to inactivity you have been disconnect" after using so much time to write a complete report filled with as much as possible of relevant details.
  6. I was wondering if the current *free* transfer will be extended to intercontinental/inter-language. Why? Because when i created my RP legacy, i choose to select an RP server with a population that seem interesting for me and now with those transfer the server is pretty much dead. But those transfer also mean that some server will become attractive, some being also closer from my location. Since RP-JcE Server population will be concentrated on : The Ebon Hawk (US east) Begeren Colony (US West) The Progenitor(EU English) Battle Meditation(EU French) Vanjervalis Chain(EU Deutsch) Gav Daragon(Asia) Could you make transfer available between those? (Or directly from origin server give access to all of them, but it seem more tedious?) Here I am only listing the RP server, but it could also be applied to corresponding server in each category(RP-PVP, PVE, PVP). I know it doesn't concern a lot of people (a few hundred maybe, especially in EU between English server and others) but that also mean that it won't disrupt population balancing.
  7. Simple, depending on the type of server you want to roll, you may have choice between light and ... light server (see population for RP server or in EU)
  8. Not a lot of server has standard or more for populations, only some JCJ/JCE and not even at all time. The count is done on the number of people connected at a time. At the time of this post, The Ebon Hawk a JDR-JcE server has a light population even though it's a destination server and was tagged as Full yesterday (with even a waiting queue to connect). I agree with this thread, a warning should be made when a subscriber (not just a new subscriber, all) is trying to roll a character on a new server (new= a server where he doesn't have character). The warning should indicate which server to take for population, in the same category that the one selected.
  9. The current transfer system may seem lacking, but they will probably extend it, by allowing origin server transfer to a few more server. They are waiting to prevent server to be overloaded (unlikely) or ,by giving a range of choice right off the bat, to prevent making the whole system useless because the transfer population will be too much spread out. A merging does also have a couple of cons: * some people may prefer sparsely populated server * some guild can't stand each other to the point that they made sure to NOT be on the same server. * For RPers, some of them doesn't want two legacy to be merged. * more important: what of people who already have toons on the target server, and by the combining of both server will be in a situation where they have more toons than allowed? I doubt they will be happy to have some of their characters erased.

Suite à un bug dans une phase de groupe j'ai tenté de me déconnecté et de reconnecté pour voir si cela changer quelque chose, mais mon ami est sorti pendant ce temps là de la zone (Loramarr, Hoth cf rapport de bug ). Je me suis alors retrouvé au même endroit mais dans une zone qui n'appartenait à personne où je ne pouvais pas me déplacé (la zone ne contenait que les décors en fait) car lui avait fini la mission associé à la zone. Ce qui s'est passé : Le jeu, ayant détecté qu'il n'y avait plus personne dedans et que le joueur qui possédait la zone avait complété celle-ci et donc ne reviendrait plus dedans, il a dé-s’instancier la zone. (le joueur qui a fini la zone ne peut plus y accéder) Problème un joueur qui a été déconnecté (action volontaire ou perte de connexion), se reconnecte alors dans une zone fantôme (les décors sont là mais on ne peut interagir ni même se déplacé). Solution Une sécurité renvoyant un joueur qui se connecte dans une zone qui n'est sous le contrôle de personne, au début de cette dite zone serait la bienvenue. Posté dans la boite à idée suite a la suggestion du service client.

Well if you start to read the books that came after the SW scenario, Anakin couldn't be the chosen one: the Sith are still here (some as ghost, other as reincarnation, or secret apprentice), Imperial army is still kicking and the galaxy will be invaded by aliens from another galaxy where Force doesn't exist. So it's crisis after crisis. Based on the movies alone, the story is wrapped until a new vador/exan kun appear but we can say that all future crisis will resolved themselves fast and clean (no Dark Sidious will rise ever again): the prophecy may very well cover all the times to come until the end of universe. So based on the just movies, yes. Anakin is the chosen one since the darkside is defeated and the lightside is light on name only (Saying Jedi is light has always seem sketchy for me since by abandoning all emotion at best they can only be described as neutral), so Balance is restored to the galaxy.
  14. Well quite a lot of response made here. With much contradiction too, but from what you say each storyline was changed a few times since launch. My Sith Inquisitor will need some adjustment, as a rattaki, i want him to be friendly to the empire and for that i will need a good explanation, but i will find one. Quick question : does trooper and/or imperial agent have a minimum age requirement to enlist ?
  15. If i remember right, Corso ask my smuggler why she is doing this job and the response was pretty much the same (money instead of power). But it's that all? The smuggler seem to appear from nowhere, and there shouldn't be any record of his history. But IA should have been is a military school so it's likely that he got top grade like the trooper. I would like more details for smuggler, consular (both mirialan) and Imperial agent(cyborg).
