  1. How about make customizable ship interiors a reward for completing all the companion story conversations?
  2. Here's a question I haven't really heard the answer to: In KotFE, will the main storyline still support group conversations? I primarily play the game with a friend, and we pair up as two different class characters and watch each other's storylines, and it's a lot of fun having our characters step through each conversation each in their own way, never knowing who is going to win the conversation roll and drive it forward in a certain way. I assume KotFE's plot won't operate like that, and that's fine. Starting with Forged Alliances the story has shifted to be played out mostly in personal phases, where one character makes all the choices while additional group members become spectators, so it was really one person's story at a time. And that's fine. My question is really this: in KotFE, will it operate the same way? Can you take a party member with you to watch your personal story, and then swap later and watch them play the story again in a different way? I have assumed the missions would still support spectator mode, and you would just have to play each mission multiple times so all group members have a chance to play their version of events. I do worry that spectator mode will either get disabled, or you will be unable to re-enter areas to watch your groupmates play their version once you have completed your version. If we start getting locked out of each other's story areas it's going to make it extremely frustrating to continue playing the game the way we play it now, and I'm starting to worry that our first jump into KotFE will be a disappointing letdown as we face roadblocks to group adventuring. A little heads up about the scope of group story limitations might help us avoid the frustration. At least we'll be prepared for the limitations.
  3. There is a bug regarding unify colors, specifically to how your equipment is displayed on the character sheet / outfit designer window. Certain pieces of equipment, when checked to unify color, appear to turn bright green in the character sheet (primary green, matching the "apply" button and the item border of "premium" quality items). These items will turn green in the outfit designer no matter what color chest piece is equipped - or in the case of some chest pieces will always display the wrong secondary color in the character sheet window. However, they display correctly in the game world and in the equipment preview windows. I noticed this problem specifically with "Arkan's Belt" (Cartel Market adaptive belt) and "Battlerager's Tunic" (medium modifiable chest piece).
  4. There is a bug involving sound while creating a new character. When you launch a new installation of the game and go to create a new character for the first time, upon choosing Republic/Empire the game will play an intro cinematic for that faction. When the cinematic is finished, all sound effects will be muted (music still plays). There will be no UI sounds and no character speech (when you choose class/gender, the character will play a speaking animation, but no speech is heard). SFX will stay muted until you exit to the character selection or server selection screen. A minor bug, but provides new players with a bad introduction to the game nonetheless.
  5. Still bugged. I've gotten more used to the current mouse rotation speed, but I still wish I could make it just a tad slower. But I know if I touch that bugged slider bar it'll just make things worse. Any chance you'll get this bug fixed sometime before the 1-year mark that you publicly acknowledged it?
  6. This bug involves the game's UI undergoing a total graphic glitch-out upon launch. When launching the game, if you alt-tab out of the program for a few minutes as soon as the first loading screen appears, sometimes upon re-maximizing the game you will find the whole screen has entered a glitched state. This state for me usually consists of a softly blurred red background with two lines of small yellow rectangles (probably glitched text characters) at the center of the screen. If you alt-tab in and out of the game, the text will re-render at different angles (seems to move from 90 degrees to 145, 180, and so on each time I alt-tab). But the UI will remain glitched. Sound works fine, and the mouse appears normal. A loading screen appears after maximizing the game briefly and correctly before showing the glitched UI. It seems you can mouseover the intended positions of UI elements and click on them, and the click sounds will play. Sometimes when mousing over certain things some rectangles will turn blue, and sometimes the entire soft red background will turn bright blue or pink. But only force quitting and restarting the client will fix the glitched state. Pressing Ctrl+U will show the 3D character selection part of the loading screen, but no UI elements. Pressing Ctrl+U a second time pops up the blurred background again. It appears that UI textures and shapes are loading improperly in the background when the game is minimized during initial loading, and the game has no way of rerendering the UI properly without a restart. This bug is easily reproducable for me by Alt-Tabbing as soon as I launch the game client, then re-maximizing the client about 1 minute later.
  7. Just encountered this issue again about a week ago. So it's still around. I don't think this is a hardware-related issue, only because it also causes the other person's companion to play speech animations when it occurs. My guess is that this bug involves Indexing of the companion NPCs as they spawn, and the action of right-click interacting with your companion causing its intended effect on a wrongly indexed NPC. But that's a simple programming guess. It may be far more complicated.
  8. Interesting. I also caught some nasty ability lag and companion/NPC pathing lag tonight on Belsavis on Ebon Hawk. I'll have to switch instances next time this happens.
  9. There is a bug regarding the "Controlled by" conquest UI window that pops up when entering a planetary area. Occasionally, this window will "stick" as it starts to fade out. Under normal conditions the window smoothly fades and disappears, but sometimes you can see the fade effect "stutter" and unevenly fade. Sometimes the window fails to fade completely and remains on the screen until you zone to a different planet, view a cutscene, or reload the UI. This seems to happen more often when exiting an interior area into an exterior area (like leaving a spaceport or cantina) after just logging in.
  10. There is a bug regarding the mission "Stage 2 - Crush the Competition (Bonus)", a bonus mission attached to the Imperial Hoth mission "The Icy Road to Victory". The objective of this mission is to "Sabotage a Pirate Transport - 0/3" in the ship graveyard area. However, there are only 2 locations marked on the map, and only 2 pirate transports exist, despite the mission suggesting that there should be 3 to sabotage. The mission can still be completed, however only by waiting for one of the Pirate Transports' rear axels to reset and become interact-able after a period of time. (I suppose you might not call this a bug, technically. Just a glaring design flaw that is probably unintentional. I'd suggest reducing the objective count to 2 to make the mission make more sense.)
  11. There is a bug regarding the Bounty Hunter class mission "Fire and Ice" on Hoth. When you enter the Glacial Fissure phase area and approach the prisoners, you will be afflicted with a debuff "Generating Heat: Low" and farther in "Generating Heat: Medium". (This is assuming you picked the Light Side option 1. If you pick option 2 or 3 I believe you get a heat shield to remove the debuffs). The debuffs increase damage taken in the phase, but they have the unintended side effect of interrupting your "Recharge and Reload" regeneration ability every tick. To Fix it: Make it so "Generating Heat: Low" and "Generating Heat: Medium" no longer interrupt "Recharge and Reload".
  12. I love this game, but it does really sadden me when even bugs directly acknowledged by Tait on the forums get ignored for long periods of time. When basic interface features stay visibly bugged for months or years... well, the frustration builds up over time. I hear that sentiment a lot. I am a subscriber. I happen to think the quality of the game is worth paying for. But visibly persistent bugs (even minor ones) DO devalue the game. It makes me feel like the developers, the programmers, the QA department don't value their own project enough to keep its presentation polished. When you see text in the game settings menu awkwardly overlapping and garbling, it instantly doesn't look like a game you should be paying for. The same when audio levels awkwardly surge, cut out, then fade up again at the beginning of warzones and flashpoints. When object mouseover tooltips say "NULL: serverMapNoteID=0". When companions appear naked or without their helmets hidden in class cinematics. When I play a class mission with my friend and he turns completely invisible during his cinematics. When certain companions have abilities that benefit from the wrong stats. Bugs are expected. In a game with new content and updates, there are always going to be new bugs. That's totally understandable. But the players (especially the subscribers) take their cues about the value of the game based on how seriously the development team takes its maintenance. Polish counts for a lot. On the other hand, when you fixed the unintentional resetting of color matching equipment when swapping out modifications in the last patch, I was instantly elated and in a good mood the rest of the play session. Keep THAT up!
  13. There should be functionality added to save and load different key binding schemes. The same should be done for Chat Window positions and Chat settings, colors, and filters within the windows. This game is amazingly alt-friendly and worth replaying with multiple characters, but it is monotonous to set up chat windows and key bindings each time. The way you can save and load interface layouts is wonderful. Just apply the same system to chat settings and key bindings. It would be perfect. Thanks!
  14. 36 degrees, sunny and clear today in Boston. A beautiful day! I'm not trying to be a jerk. I am truly just disappointed you couldn't make it here.
  15. There is a bug regarding display of Achievement Points earned when you complete certain achievements. I completed "Kingmaker for a Day" on my Bounty Hunter. Upon completion, I saw an Achievement completion splash overlay pop up on my UI, but the icon showing the number of Achievement Points displayed the text "Undefined".
  16. There is a bug regarding chat window settings: If you create a custom chat tab with a new name (for example, "Global"), then drag that tab out to be it's own independent chat window... Then you log onto another character and do the same, giving the new chat window the same name ("Global")... Then changes to the position or the channel display options on one character's chat window will sometimes affect the chat window for the other character's UI as well. Can really mess you up if you like customizing each character's UI differently, or if you share an account.
  17. With 3.0, all loading screens that have written text on them (For example, Warzone loading screens with objective hints) have been bugged so the text appears as yellow rectangles.
  18. Also, I should mention that the display of notches on the bar is weird - It just shows one notch in the center at 52% and one notch at 0%. And the highest possible setting is 77% (it won't actually drag to 100%). So we only get 4 notches (0, 26, 52, 77) and only 2 of them actually display on the bar, and the bar above 77% in unused. I think the slider may be broken in some unintended way.
  19. Holy Cow, this setting is infuriating! My Camera Rotation speed was actually just fine... then I stupidly decided to play with this setting... 0% feels super slow to me. The next notch up, 26%, feels too fast. I frequently spin my character almost 360 degrees by accident. Anything higher feels completely absurd. Are we limited to those notches? Can't I find a happy medium around 20%? The vast difference between 0% and 26% is just unworkable.
  20. Personally, I don't think "The Emperor's Wrath" is a big spoiler for the warrior plot. However, "The Hand of Jadus is a significant spoiler for the agent. I recommend "The Hand of Fear" as an alternative. A totally plausible title that is not a spoiler at all, but totally in keeping with the spirit of things.
  21. Just to follow up... This bug has persisted for the last few months. Every single time I group, when I open my Mission Tracking, the description window first displays the info for my groupmate's first tracked mission (usually their current class mission) which always looks pretty strange because I'm playing on a trooper, yet I'm seeing the description for a smuggler class mission.
  22. The only downside I can see to having the GSF Hangar be Legacy-wide as a whole (rather than have individual ships transferable) is I know sometimes multiple people use a single account, and have their own characters. In that case, you force two characters to share all their ships with each other. It also means requisition is a legacy-wide currency, so one character is making requisition spending decisions for the whole legacy. Also, you have the problem of what to do now that people have multiple ships already spread across their alts. If you change the hangar to legacy-wide at this point, do you overwrite all their work? I'm sure many people have worked hard to get mastered ships on multiple characters. To change how it's handled now risks devaluing their time spent. I think opting for a cartel coin transfer of single ships between two characters is a good compromise that lets people play GSF with the ship they want on the character they want, but doesn't devalue people's previous work and doesn't prevent characters on one legacy from making their own unique GSF choices.
  23. I used to love playing GSF a couple months ago. It was a blast. But I haven't played a match in ages. Here's why: I started playing GSF while leveling my Sith Inquisitor. My friend and I would work through our missions in a group, and we would queue for GSF as we went. When a battle popped up, great! It was an awesome way to break up the action. We'd get through a few class missions, do a starfighter battle or two, then back to class missions. It all had a very nice flow. Eventually we had almost mastered our favorite ships. But then we finished our class missions and hit the endgame, and we decided we should pick two new classes and start working through a new storyline. But faced with a blank slate of un-upgraded starfighters, we just didn't have the stomach to start from scratch. We decided to focus on PvE and let GSF fall by the wayside. Even when we had a craving for a GSF battle, it was too frustrating to switch characters just to queue for a battle that may or may not pop up when we could be getting things done on our new characters. No one wants to swap characters just to wait around. And so here we are, not playing GSF anymore. Multiple times we have wished that we could transfer our old upgraded starfighters to our new "main" characters. Heck, we'd even pay cartel coins for such a transfer. We'd gladly pay a cartel coin fee every time we wanted to move our starfighters to our next character. And I imagine others might like the same. So I propose that exact addition to the Cartel Market. An item that lets you make a one-time transfer of one Starfighter, with all its component upgrades, to another character in your legacy... call it a "Starfighter Deed Transfer" I'd imagine, technically, it would have to overwrite the destination character's existing starfighter of that type (or you might be able to merge all upgraded components between the two starfighter profiles). It would then totally reset the original character's starfighter profile for that ship type to square one. No ship or fleet requisition would change hands. No cosmetic upgrades would be transferred. Companions would be totally separate from this transfer. Just Component Upgrades. I think it would be perfect for casual GSFers who want to take their Starfighter with them as they play different alts. You'd still need to catch up with companion unlocks and cosmetics, but I think that's a fine compromise. How about it!?
  24. This bug occurs when you listen to your holoterminal when your ship is already at Coruscant. Please fix this!
