  1. I thought I was having trouble (actually I was having trouble, but self-inflicted) because I thought you clicked on the settings tab AFTER the login, rather than before. And then, after the login there is - yet again - an icon (I hate icons only - give me text!) that needs to be selected. THEN there is the option to go to PTS (after yet another 38G+ download). p.s. - I was on steam, but unlinked and then used the EA launcher. Maybe I could have stayed with the Steam version. With Steam I did not get a UAC popup every single time I start the game. Sigh. 35GB to go before I know
  2. I thought I had followed the instructions - Copy Characters seems simple enough, and the ones copied are remembered as copied. - When I launch I try the settings wheel - but it does not show 'Select PTS' or whatever that is meant to be. - I used to be a STEAM linked player. I have removed the STEAM link, and uninstalled from Steam, and downloaded the EA launcher, and started again. Still no PTS server selection. - Footnote: On the "Copy Character" page there is a dead link: The link in the following 'text': `For more instructions on how to access the Public Test Server visit the community page .` Also dead after logging in separately to the forums.
  3. I would like to see a sort function for the cargo bays (individual, legacy, alliance). The same sort could/should be extended/replace the current inventory sort ability. * not having any sort does not help anyone. * the key sort by I would like to see added is the item 'type', much like GTN (eg, armor, offhand, item modification) and, then as a default sub-type sort, rating - rather than quality or level. The sub-sort could be specified in the ctrl-p preferences area. Do not want to over-specify right now - but I clearly see utility in being able to sort by (GTN) type.
  4. I am too much of a noob to understand a lot of the ways people are abusing the game mechanics now, but clearly the discussion shows there is abuse. From a UI perspective, completely removing the ability to send/cod credits may not be the best option, but clearly setting a maximum transfer amount (say 50% of max preferred account cap), and also, as in GTN sales for the seller - add some time needed to wait before credits are available. I know I have been helped by being able to receive credits (as a noob), and that certainly bought a lo of good will with a new alliance Key point: there seems to be consensus that there are players/accounts that abuse "the rest of us" . I believe it is the responsibility of the developers to reduce abuse. And I believe the original post gives food for thought on how "abuse" could be lessened. Of course i cannot be removed. "They" will find other ways (or leave, and maybe that is better for the game as well).
  5. I am an old, returning, player. Spent a lot of time, iirc, getting crafting skills up - but it seems like most of the things I built are archived. Take "armoring" for example. iirc, there were 4 different types - not needed (4x) now with all the skills bundled into a mastery stat - but does that mean there is no armoring upgrades needed? Or, so I have to start all over again with learning my crafts? Years too late for the 'discussion', but it certainly feels like a way I used to make a profit - is gone. Thx for your wisdom!
