  1. Really? Unplayable, really?? It's a video game for crying out loud, not life. Suspend reality for just a bit and enjoy the video game.
  2. You can earn one piece of Battlemaster per day just as an afterthought.
  3. Que for warzones -or- que for flashpoints. And do something constructive while you're in the flashpoint que, like quests or dailies. Bioware disalaowing you to abandon a warzone for a flashpoint-pop is not unreasonable. This is a separate issue. There is a backfilling bug going on in WZs atm.
  4. ...An excellent addendum to the legacy-datacron suggestion.
  5. In my opinion, when a player reaches Legacy Level 50, their datacrons should count for all of the characters in their legacy. The prospect of grinding those things out 12 times makes my brain hurt.
  6. This is good news, and thank you for reporting it.
  7. Thank you very much for looking in to this, Allison B.
  8. I also would like to know if this is a bug or an intended change. I have quite a few missions saved up and i'm sort-of in limbo now about how I will proceed.
  9. I love this thread. (Oh and btw, I think your bubble-butts are back).
  10. This formula from MMO mechanics seems to indicate that, for commandos, the crit from aim... and the crit from skill... and the crit from rating are all on seperate DR scales, and then added together for the total crit. Crit Chance = 5% + 30% * ( 1 - ( 1 - ( 0.01 / 0.3 ) )^( ( PrimaryStat / max(Level,20) ) / 2.5 ) ) + 30% * ( 1 - ( 1 - ( 0.01 / 0.3 ) )^( ( CritRating / max(Level,20) ) / 0.45 ) ) Crit chance can also include a bonus from a secondary stat. Have a look at your damage or healing bonus on the character screen, if it includes a bonus from a secondary stat (SKILL) it will also have a small crit bonus from that stat calculated as + 30% * ( 1 - ( 1 - ( 0.01 / 0.3 ) )^( ( SecondaryStat / max(Level,20) ) / 2.5 ) )
  11. I'm also a combat medic, and initially I assumed AIM was superior to POWER until I found out that the critical points I received from aim were subject to the same exact diminishing returns curve (approaching 30%) that my crit-rating from gear was subject to. So I've been using power mods exclusively. However, I have recently learned that the critical points received from our main stat might actually be on their own diminishing returns curve, seperate from our 'crit-rating' curve. If this is the case, then primary stat augments will be superior. What I would like is a difinitive answer about this: Is AIM-crit on its own DR curve? Or is AIM-crit added to rating-crit, with their SUM being subject to one DR curve? Also, to the original poster, who seems to love alacrity: I abandoned alot of alacrity after the 1.2 ammo nerf. I felt that I needed bigger heals rather than faster heals, the one thing that does intrigue me, however, is when you intimate that the 1.5 second down time from hammershotting is no problem for you due to your high alacrity. Am I to assume that if you set your alacrity high enough, it will result in a noticable reduction in global cooldown??? (This is something I've wondered about for a long time). Thanks ahead of time for any insights you can divulge.
  12. I just lost a schem this way. It wasn't grayed out to indicate that I already knew it, so when I right-clicked to learn it, it disappeared and gave me a message that I "already knew that schem".
  13. I'm really excited about the new companion customizations comming in 1.4. In that vein, I'd like to suggest that we implement a toggle to hide bracers and belts on our characters as well as our companions. Franklly, certain outfits look terrible with a huge gaudy belt, like most outfits that have a dress, or that slave girl number, and I'm quite sure there are tons of social gear looks comming down the pipe in the grand opening of the cartel exchange that will look much better without a belt or bracer. If the staff can pull this off before the cartel exchage opens up, I think it will be an overall benefit to the game, and I am certain tht it will be very well received by the playerbase.
  14. As long as these gambling boxes only contain aesthetic items that garner no advantage in gameplay, then I'm all for them, and I hope there are some wealthy players out there willing to buy them by the truckload.
  15. Which ability leaves that one large brown crater under people's feet? I think it's an empire-only ability.
  16. I do hear what you guys are saying, but I still don't like the reusable consumbles in warzones. It makes it too easy. I think all consumables should be purchased, gathered or assembled, per unit, by players. A hardcore PVPer will have either Biochem or Cybertech. Otherwise they are gimping themselves. A casual PVPer, on the other hand might have Biochem or Cybertech, but they are just as likely to not have either of those, putting them at a noticable disadvantage in PVP. I certainly don't want the banhammer to come down on our PVP people, because they are a sizable portion of our playerbase and are just as important as our PVErs. Reusables could be made to be implemented better. If I were the boss of EA/Bioware, my solution would be to give all players a 4th crew skill and then put reusable grenades and reusable healthpacks on the same cooldown timer. ...That's what I would do.
  17. Starndard stims and grenades are fine in warzones, but reusable ones are not. That's my opinion on the matter...
  18. When I looked at the origin/destination matrix last night, I noticed that the Harbinger was where I was being moved to... But then I also noticed that the Harbinger was also in the list of servers being moved to "the Harbinger". That's when I realized that the new Harbinger was in all likelihood a new server, and that folks from the original Harbinger would probably be subject to possible name changes, like all of the other origin servers. I'm therefore not at all surprised to see multiple posts by people wanting to know why their names need to be changed if they are already on the destination server...not knowing that that their server is only an origin server that shares the same name as one of the new mega servers. ...So why didn't the staff just create brand new names for the new megaservers? A quarter of these "name change" posts would probably not even exist if the destination servers were originally named. It would have been far less confusing. I guess It's water under the bridge now already, but I know that if I were on the staff, the new servers would all have been assigned new names so that the entire playerbase would understand and be prepared for possible name changes.
  19. Also, the ones in your inventory often seem to get bugged and look grayed out even when they're trainable, mostly when you have alot of them.
  20. You can't expect this from people. The masses simply won't do it.
  21. No... When a pvper reaches 50, they should have a War Hero mainhand weapon, 1 or 2 pieces of battlemaster, and the rest should be recruit gear, for the added damage reduction. Bioware needs to do away with that rediculous 300,000 credit token. Free gear is "reward" enough for doing nothing. Granted, if your non PVP gear is Rakata or higher and you're playing a class that can avoid damage, then you'll probably be fine for that week, but if you're still wearing quest gear, you're going to get vaporized, and you'll likely be a buttsore on your team for far more than a week.
  22. Needed missions arent always available when you need them. That's why I always send my people out on missions for metals and stuff when I do not need them and stockpile the accumulated resources for when I do. This approach has been beneficial to me. I have an armormech, synthweaver and an armstech, all of which have proven far more useful than most in these forums claim them to be. Especially for leveling alts via PVP. In this game, they limit the availability of resource missions as a means of artificially adding scarcity to the comodities. Trust me. I don't like it. It's frustrating. But I do understand why they're doing it. I do agree with you, however, that the list should never be completely devoid of one class of resource mission. The many times that I have opened my fresh missions list only to find that one grade of missions is ALL companion gifts, it has always made me want to club baby seals in anger.
  23. Your complaints about stockstrike sound reasonable to me, but I can't opine for certain as I am a combat medic and not a damage build. What I AM excited about though is the buffs to Kolto bomb. I don't think people are grasping just how powerful that ensnaring slow will be. It will only have marginal used for self preservation, but it will provide a heap of utility to your team on all of the pvp maps. Its an aoe slow with a 30 meter range that heals your team and refreshes in less than 3 global cooldowns. THAT'S utility. I may stop playing alts for a while and dust off my 'ol combat medic for a few games. I disslike the cryogrenage range nerf though. Commando's don't need nerfs of any kind. I think everyone would agree with that.
