  1. Nah, you see... they actually have a clue on how to do an MMO... Will enjoy it so much!
  2. As far as PvP goes, if they actually made skill > gear in 50 pvp, I don't think anyone would mind P2W. It's a design fault, not a P2W thing. If all PvP was like 1-49, would you honestly care?

    Defense Medals

Why not make it like this. 1 person guarding a node - everything stays as it is now. 2 people guarding a node -instead of 500 def points per tick give 250 or make them tick twice as slow 3 people guarding a node .... .... Or something similar.. This sort of a system would still reward solo defenders, and perhaps even 2 people defending, but would provide nohing for those who decided they want to give up or whatever.
  4. Ye, I'll give them 'a bit' of praise. Only just a bit though. I've seen way better.

    Warzone Bugs

I've had it happen today. We were definately frog-dogs, and baron Deathmark acknowledged this, yet the scoreboard did not. Every time we scored the point went to rotworms. It was still us though, we won and all, just the scoreboard that was messed up.
  6. Yup, they definately got thrown under the bus. Enjoy having 10 more run over your half-dead body before they finally decide to pick you up and throw you in the car lane.
  7. No no no, read it one more time very slowly so that you may understand. How many classes can use crystals? All of them. How many classes can use sniper rifles / blaster rifles. Three out of sixteen. There's nothing more to add to that. Whether you like it or not, crystals could still be used by everyone, while these rewards cannot. It's as simple as that. Yes, you're right, very few people complained about the rakghoul event because it was very well done. Again, please tell me what sand people armour has to do with anything related to this event? BTW the bowcasters are not bound to account, they're bound to legacy. It's not even remotely the same thing. Bind to account would mean you could transfer it to like any character you own on any server.
  8. Can every advanced class use color crystals? Yes Can every advanced class use blaster rifles / sniper rifles? No? How many can? Three. Out of how many? Sixteen.
  9. As many others have said, the last event had rewards for everyone. Even if you throw the crystals out of the window, you still had great companion customizations and armour sets that looked really in-line with the event. Unlike here, where you get SAND PEOPLE ARMOUR???? What does that have to do with the Chevin, Nar Shadda, cartels or anything remotely related to this event? Seriously? It's just way too obvious they didn't dedicate nearly enough time for making this event. It feels very rushed.
  10. Just because it's fine for you, doesn't mean it's fine. Women in the middle east are fine with their husbands having multiple other women and beating the crap out of them. Does that make it fine, and should we all stop our efforts to make the world a better place?
  11. 1. You could opt-out of the rakghoul event by buying the vaccine. 2. This event isn't dull, it's bugged and half-baked. They should've put more tought into it. Instance a few bits, prevent/fix exploiting. 3. Nobody expects godmode rewards.. Why couldn't they put in some sort of a sword or blade, electrostaffs or something for force users? Seriously, how much time would that take to put in?
  12. What about the people who subbed after the Rakghoul event and didn't even participate in it? Why is it OK for them to wait another X months for another event so that they can have their shinies? The last event had crystals, which were valuable to all classes. They did look cooler on saber users, but you still got the stats if nothing else.
  13. It's a horrible event. 1. It's not instanced properly which annoys people as they have to deal with a lot of other players messing things up. 2. Looting boxes is tedious and with this game's "click first get it" system it feels incredibly stupid. 3. It's bugged - finish one low level space mission and voila - you've done it! 4. The rewards they put in... it honestly feels like it was a 5 minute work and tought of one person. I bet any player could've tought of better rewards. 5. Half-finished? Really? Why give us a start to a quest that we can't finish? Doesn't make sense. Feels like they knew they messed it up so they gave us all another mission start that will make us think "oh yeah! there's gonna be more", when in fact they should've just released the complete event. Trying to keep those 6monthers? Hehe, doubt that will do it for them.
  14. I don't care what your made up job is. Anyone that thinks this game has a good endgame and that the updates are coming at a nice pace is delusional.
  15. Dude I want whatever you're on. This isn't a mod of a game made by a group of college students for fun. It's a professional game made by one of the biggest game makers and funded by the third largest company in the business by revenue. People are paying monthly fees for this. Of course if they say "monthly updates" that's exactly what most people will expect there to be. That's like me saying "sure ill pay you 15$ each month for this"... but then I don't pay you for 4-5 months while still playing the game and tell you "nah you can't really expect me to pay you each month".
  16. No, I don't believve SWTOR has NO end game. However it's waaaay too little content to be competitive with any other MMORPG in this age. This game should've launched as 1.3 - then instead of fixing bugs and implementing crucial tools for 8 months, they could've actually worked on new content.
  17. No options for solo players? You can experience 99% of the content of this game playing it solo. Every story, every class and side mission, all the heroics, nearly all flashpoints, PvP grind until you get WH items, datacrons and filling up your codex entries... all that can be experienced by playing all alone. The only thing you cannot do solo I think is OPs and like two flashpoints maybe? Wow, big deal! To the OP - no there's not. Alting isn't end-game.
  18. Agree with the people that said it won't work. I leave warzones whenever I want to, and I'm going to continue doing so no matter what. Here's what scenarios I predict if they actually put the system in: 1. People will still quit, go on their alt and do one WZ on it before the timer runs out (unless it's in-game time). 2. Still quit, do something else until the timer runs out - when I'm in a frustrating WZ, I almost never requeue immediately until i chill out 3. They wouldn't quit, but would rather just go AFK or even try sabotaging their team in order to speed it up. - this is actually the worst option, but I see it coming big time, so think about whether you prefer this to just letting the person quit and someone else filling his spot
  19. Honestly I'd rather have it like it is now. I play on a high pop server and when someone starts QQ and leaves usually another person joins and there's a good chance to recover from losing. If they place penalties in, people will just AFK or find another way to be unhelpful. That would suck much more than if they just leave. This is of course if it's a pug vs pug match. Premades shouldn't be allowed to queue with pugs, period.
  20. Completely agree with the OP. Just now I did my Ilum dailies. It took me exactly 25 minutes to get there from combat zone in fleet, do the quests, hand them in and return back to the combat zone without using a fleet pass. I did the 5 dailies, cba doing the H2. Made a total of 60k - 53k from quests and 7k from loot and selling it. Now, 25 minutes is about the time of 2 WZs, if you play on a well populated server that fills up queues nicely. In that time, doing PvP, the max credits you would get is about 6k-7k? That's if you played two matches and won them both with a fair amount of medals. I understand that dailies are only once per day and that you can play WZs all day long, but still. It just seems a bit meh.. Like the others have said, at least give us a couple of more dailies, e.g. - Do X dmg/healing/protection - Score X goals in huttball - Gain X defender/attacker points There are certainly more stuff, maybe even tailored for specific classes, that they could throw in. It would not only fill our wallet, but also make things a bit more interesting in warzones ( people might actually commit to doing objectives a bit more ).
  21. It's nothing new, sure. I'm just pointing out how flawed the new AFK system is. And that it's also rewarding quitters instead of fighters. You never got all zeroes before 1.2 did you? Now, well you do.. and how do you prevent it? Everyone stays at the turret.
  22. The system encourages AFKing and quitting. You get no penalty for leaving a WZ, you get more medals for staying near a won objective than actually trying to win the WZ. Alderaan before 1.2 = Team 1 holds two turrets for the majority of the WZ, Team 2 tries and tries to win that other turret, they figure out it's too late and they need three - "Oh feck, we need three now.. Well good try everyone. They outgear us but we gave them a fight". Aderaan after 1.2 = Team 1 holds two turrets and outgears Team 2. "Just stay at turret and don't even try winning that other one. They outgear us, you'll win more medals just by staying here. We will not let them farm us for medals". This is what's starting to happen, I've seen it before my own eyes. It cannot be leading to something good...
  23. First of all, this is coming from someone who loves PvP. I'm not the best at it, but it's the only thing that interests me in a game. Since getting my two characters to level 50, for the last week I've been playing mostly only WZs all day. That's about 10+ hours a day. I personally don't mind any of this, as I can get more than 3 medals in 9/10 games. When I see I'm playing a losing battle, I just leave. None of this will stop me from PvP-ing. However, I can understand why people are upset. Not everyone plays this game for 10+ hours a day, some of them don't even care that much about PvP, but it is a part of the game, and surely everyone pops up in a WZ here and there. The new system coupled with the unbalanced population of servers is certainly going to outright bury casual PvP. The way they should've done it is: - Rated Warzones - this would get rid of those nasty facerolls and a whole team getting zeroes Once you have that uber pro PvP population taken care of, it's time for.. - Cross realm PVP - taking care of unbalanced servers, and situations where you start with less than 8 people on your team ( about 3/10 matches in my experience) That would probably be enough for pugs to be pretty even, and solo queuing wouldn't be as horrible as it is now. Now, as for the AFK system. They have made it shockingly bad. You can literally go and stand next to a turret/base/door in voidstar and get 5 medals from Defender points. How does that prevent AFKing? I've seen people do it, especially on Alderaan and Novare. On the other hand, people that are running around for the inc calls get what? Nothing. Sure if they heal/dps/guard enough they will make their 3 medals, but sometimes it's just not happening. How the hell can they be treated as being AFK, while that guy guarding the turret is probably crafting and trying out different emotes. It's stupid and it doesn't work. If anything, it encourages AFKing and not participating. "Just grab the left turret and stand there, screw trying mid or right, they're all WHs/BMs." Leave it to the ops leader to start a vote on whether a person should get kicked or not. The players vote, he gets kicked and can't participate in another WZ for X minutes. Simple, really really simple. This would not only get rid of AFK players, but also ones that don't participate as they should. I think that could work. What do you say? TL;DR AFK system broken. Needs fixing.
  24. Again, this screenie http://i.imgur.com/agbX4.jpg Did they participate? Yes. Did they get rewarded? No. Logic?
