  1. She was the first to mention it, she get's to claim it.
  2. Finally home. So it's 1.6 regen/second with two points into one with the force/blood of sith. With a 15 second cd on FiB/DF with one target, assuming you get all 10 procs you're looking at .75 r/s (20 force every 15 seconds) and 2.25 r/s with 3 targets (good luck with maintaining that). Well, assuming I didn't screw up my math, which is always a possibility. So likely more consistent regen over a primary balance build. This is probably going to suck doing this as solo queue, but off to see how it plays...
  3. Another solid video, thanks Shin. Not quite sure what I think of the 17/1/23. Guess I'll have to wait for the next vid.
  4. Deception is a hit and run spec for pvp. None of the current wz's really have a spot for that type of role. Would need a bigger wz where help couldn't arrive immediately for it to be viable.
  5. I'm pretty sure blowing someone up in 3 seconds is better than taunting them. =P

    F2P and newbies

Because before the game went F2P everyone in the 10 - 49 bracket all played perfectly, right? If you solo queue you will get 7 other people of various skill levels and knowledge of the game, it's been that way since day 1. If it bothers you, grab 3 people and queue as a team, otherwise get over it.
  7. I give it 5 minutes after release when the first post complaining about the insta-kill effect hits the forums.
  8. I think the game that has done it the best thus far has been City of Heroes/villains. Although you certainly still have tank, dps, and support classes, there is plenty of overlap so that any team of 8 can be viable. You don't even really have a pure healer at all, although there are heals. Buffs and debuffs are equally important and can fully replace a lack of heals. Likewise, you don't need a tank to soak the alpha, a scrapper, brute, or even a mastermind can as well, or you can have a controller or dominator mezz the mobs and prevent the alpha from occurring at all.
  9. Don't have an issue with it, 27/0/14 is a perfectly acceptable spec.
  10. Would help if you linked your full build, so we could see what else you were doing.
  11. 31/0/10 using dps gear http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#200rfMozrskrsZZf0cM.1 Can drop a point from Shroud of Darkness to pick up Dark Ward if you intend to pve tank anything. 27/0/14 using dps gear http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#200rfMozrskrZZf0cRd.1
  12. Tank spec in tank gear = high survivability / low damage Tank spec in dps gear = medium survivability / medium damage dps spec = low survivability / high damage Many of the complaints about Assassin/Shadow seems to come from people suffering from 31/31/31 syndrome.
  13. It also shows a dps spec shadow, not a tank spec using dps gear, which is what the thread is about.
  14. You necro'd a 2 month old thread just to give bad advice? Good grief.
  15. Haven't tried it myself, but reports are that you can just use the empty shell to purchase war hero gear.
  16. That note only reflects the test server (which prior to that note, had really high exp rewards, to the point that leveling in pvp was far faster than leveling in pve). Those overly high exp rewards were toned back down. What you see on live for exp rewards for completion of a warzone, is what you'll be seeing still once patch 1.2 hits.
  17. I vote for the guy on the bottom of the list. I figure he needs the extra valor/comm more than anyone else. ~Vyeta
  18. Grab the one with the highest weapon damage and ignore everything else. If your choices have the same weapon damage, go for whichever gives you the most primary stat (willpower, in your case). That's all you need to worry about.
  19. It really depends on the make-up of the team. I had a Voidstar where we had 5 marauders, including myself, and no healers. The other team had 2 healers. They never stood a chance. In another match, where I and a Madness hybrid Sorc combined for over 1 million damage, we lost. We did have 2 healers for that one. We simply got out-played on door switches and the like. ~Vyeta
  20. So much this. If you're not CC'ing people as they come out of the respawn room so a teammate can cap the door, you're doing it wrong. You should also be snaring/CCing the enemy while your SI/JC sprints to the next objective to cap it. Hell, if you do it right, it's pretty much a straight run through until the final objective.
  21. 1 monk is a 55 monk. He ran right into the middle of the opposing team to solo them, but promptly got blown up (enchantment removal? What's that?). 1 monk brought a smiter build, he wasn't too far behind the 55 monk, he also got blown up. 1 monk brought a healing bar with no real synergy, but he did have infuse health. After saccing most of his health trying to save monk 2, he was promptly blown up. Last monk brought a generally accepted heal/prot hybrid build. He left before the match started when he saw he was teamed with a 55. Win?
