  1. Thnx for saying this Kayko. I too feel and share the same sentiment that you have here. It's not just yooni who I have seen do this, I have also seen other uncensored people such as blunti, damager, annaka hp pools rocket from about 26-28k hp outside of a wz to about 33-35k inside them. I don't understand it to be honest, its a regular wz and you guys are skilled enough to not stoop to this level. Its funny and ironic because you keep saying to show the health pools in the screenshots. I have been grouped with the larger guilds from the imp side such as unicorn stampede, beer 30, trinity, and chaotic pixels; almost all are still under 30k with the exception of tanks in wz and I have yet to see one of its members use this augment exploit. I have also seen and went against LD50 but have yet to see a member having more than 30k health with the exception of their tanks. I respect people in this game who are skilled and the guilds I mentioned here (uncensored, unicorn stampede, beer 30, trinity, chaotic pixels, ld50) have at least a member who are really skilled at playing their class. What I'm saying here is you don't need to use this augment exploit. Quite frankly, the people from uncensored were the last people I expect to use this exploit. You guys have always been the classiest people on this server, if not the best at one point in time. Willing to help out other people and upon seeing an uncensored guild tag inside a wz, you know they are there for the rest of the game and will not result to namecalling or ridicule of another despite losing. You guys created this standard brick by brick from the start and you are destroying it by using this exploit. Yooni said something here regarding the screenshot of his hp is under 30k in the records but thats not the point. The fact is you guys are using this exploit and it goes against the spirit of competition. You guys probably will not listen to what I'm saying here and probably just ridicule me. I'm also just another one of those unguilded solo pugger. I know I'm not as skilled as some of you in this game but I do recognize skill from other people and will give praise and respect when I see it. But I hope you guys understand. PS. to xanxas - even if they do show the ss of their hp, who's to say they did not remove a piece of gear. The only real way to legitimize the records is to ask the people who were there with them and see if they exploited.
  2. let me get this straight. Assault/pyro essentially got hold the line, a pull, aoe mez, a stun.. and you are complaining that because they nerf their damage they are worthless in pvp. Tell this to players who have been playing commando dps, operative dps, lightning sorc dps for over a year. This class has always been a derp class and has always been easy to get the high damage numbers by pressing 2-4 buttons. I have no sympathy for you. They have been OP for a while and its about time they were balanced.
  3. So... with the upcoming increase in level in the upcoming expansion, does that mean that elite war hero will be obsolete by then? Or will the gear stay the same since its technically level 63?
  4. Anyone here prefer the KOTOR version instead of the SWTOR version instead? Personally, I thought the KOTOR version was way superior and wished somehow it was obtainable in game.
  5. I'm going to have to disagree about merc healers. They are very good healers in pvp and I'd rather have them than sorc (aoe heals,.. I would still take bubble spec as a necessity). Personally, I think merc/commando's are getting a bad rapport because of people playing arsenal/gunnery and playing it like a sniper and standing instead of kiting.
  6. I don't really have an issue with it but I think there is virtue in having a record that also takes into account having a draw (tie) record along with wins and losses. This is especially helpful to in voidstar where no one caps the first door instead of having most kills as the tiebreaker. If you are having an objective type of game, I think both teams deserve some credit in preventing you to score or preventing you to cap as opposed to just slapping you with a loss record (if ranked).
  7. Those who say tanks are worthless in pvp are either clueless or they don't know how to play as a tank. Tanks play an important role in pvp, and it is a necessary requirement to have one especially in rateds.
  8. Ive been saying this for a long time. It wasn't a qq about gear but looking at it from a big picture and realizing that a long gear grind and a large gear disparity (the vertical progression scheme) is bad for the longterm health of pvp. I'm glad they realized and acknowledge this too. Skill should always be a determining factor in pvp, not gear. Im all for gear progression, but in pvp it should be minor at best and should be horizontal progression and sidegrades.
  9. lol at the people trying to downplay smash spec jugs. I play this spec and I'm the first to admit that they are overpowered. And its a fact that they do and can hit 5-7k smashes on fully geared WH players.
  10. Holy crap. Its a freaking game, stop taking it too seriously.
  11. This is one of the wost suggestions I've ever read.
  12. Part of your survivability issues is because you are undergeared right now. Wait till you get more geared and you would see a significant increase in survivability. Another factor that is playing a part in your survivability is your group dynamics and composition. Communication plays a big factor in winning games. Ideally, everyone should be in the same page and know what everyone should do and what their roles are. Regrettably though, this is not always possible, especially if you solo queue alot and no one is communicating which I suspect is happening in your case.
  13. Hey man, thanks for keeping it civil. I see what you are saying here. I actually agree with you. Personally, I fundamentally dislike any gear progression in pvp. In my opinion, they should have kept that in pve. If pvp has to have any progression it has to be in ranking numbers, or titles alone, not gear. However, I have to disagree with the solution you are proposing. Just step back and think about it for one second. You said that implementing this idea of people having the ability to pay for gear will equalize the level playing field, thus, as you say, strengthen the integrity of the pvp game. My problem with this is - why do you have to pay in the first place? If gear equality is what you are after then why not just redesign the game based on that concept? Implementing this idea will make it look like bioware is very underhanded creating a self inflicted gear inequality just for people to pay to equalize it. I hope you understand where I'm getting at.
  14. I have to disagree with your position here. I think the integrity of the game is at stake if one is paying for gear instead of actually playing the game the way its meant to be played. You've outlined pretty well what constitutes a p2w game, but in my opinion what you're advocating for is philosophically disturbing. Personally, I think its irrational for a person who loves to play games, to pay to acquire gear in game that can also be obtained by playing through it. The main question is what's the point? If the argument is to be in equal terms, then that person is already playing the wrong type of game since they consider the grind - work and is now willing to pay to take a shortcut, which undermines the design of the game itself. If you can't see this, then I don't know what to tell you man.
  15. ^this person knows what they're talking about. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  16. This is a terrible idea. I like your other ideas though (medpack and adrenals).
  17. /facepalm sigh. First of all, calm down because you are borderline disrespectful. Second, you're taking my statement out of context. And third, you are putting an insidious narrative out there that any criticism or feedback of a product is a bad thing to do. My statement was regarding how they were putting the loss of their subs solely on the subscription model. I was merely saying that, that is not the only reason. Loosing subs is usually only a symptom of the problem. When you are loosing subs, its the customers way of saying "you're game is not worth their money to keep paying for". You are right in saying that its their business to decide what type of model will yield them the most profit, I'm not disputing that. I was merely suggesting and criticizing that they should focus on more sandbox elements of their game instead of releasing content that are "repetitive". They have released endgame content such as dailies and ops but they are repetitive and get boring overtime. You seem to forget that the success of a business is determined by its customers. The customers have spoken and the game lost a lot of subs since launched. For you to suggest that customers should not "care" or for businesses to close their ears on feedback is ignorant. I gave them my money to be entertained. I expect them to provide an excellent experience in which admittedly I still enjoy, but it could be more and there is nothing wrong with giving them a suggestion or two.
  18. The worst they can sell you are gameplay elements period. There is no excuse for that. And items that make you more powerful. I just don't understand what they are trying to do right now. Their free trial to lvl 15 failed in attracting major numbers of subscribers, why are they still trying for people to subscribe through f2p? Shouldn't they be concentrating on expanding on an f2p model more now, where they should be concencentrating much of their revenue coming from the cash shop? Because, the way their f2p is designed with all their restrictions is for people to basically subscribe to the game. I just get so much mixed messages from them saying the subscription model is a failure, and then them doing basically that. Honestly, there were 1.7 million people duing launch who were willing to pay a sub for this game. The market is still there. I do believe that EA/bioware are sugarcoating and changing the narrative that their game did not live up to expectations due to market forces and the unwillingness of the customer to pay a sub. There may be some truth to that, but for them to act that, that is the major and only reason the subs left is misleading and untruthful in my opinion. There were many shortcomings in the game that justifiably resulted in the loss of subs. I think one of the major reasons subs left is lack of replayable end game content. When people say end game content, they meant sandbox elements, not grinding and repetitive dailies, or operations that rehash the same content all over and over again. There is no OWpvp, you have a broken ranked system, no areas in the world that creates community. Don't get me wrong, I love this game but its precisely because of that, that I am able to see where the game has its shortcomings.
  19. Don't know if there was changes to these chart, but looking at my character sheet, I think its still relevant. http://mmo-mechanics.com/swtor/forums/thread-767.html You start to see DR around 1100-1200 expertise. and this by James Ohlen http://swtorbattles.blogspot.ca/2012/05/swtors-james-ohlen-shares-formula.html
  20. I don't really hate any planets but my least favourite would be Hoth, staring at that high constrast blue snow for a long time can give me a headache. lol. Illum is somewhat the same but if you pan out and look at the sky, you'll be mesmerized by the stars.
  21. I like it man. I've seen this in other games also.
  22. I disagree with you OP. I hope you don't take this the wrong way in attacking you personally, but you have to understand that the other side have a point. This game has a team based objective warzones, that means people have to work as a team. And that includes forming groups with your friends, or what you would call premades. And as much as you hate to see it, it is working as intended. From my perspective, the problem with what you are suggesting is that you are purposely gimping yourself from having a coordinated team. Solo queue in the game did not mean you just get put on a team and hope it works for the best, it also meant working with other people and forming friendship and respect and hopefully to play more together. The real problem on the other hand is the lack of a matchmaking system that puts together players on an equal level of skill. GW2 has it, and most fps games has it. What it does is calculate your "skill" level based on how much you have played the game as well as your win/lose rate ratio and put you with players with the same level of skill. Does it mean you never get to see top skilled people in the game? of course not, you'll just be matched with them very rarely.
