  1. As the title says, we are looking for a tank or dps. We run Tues/Wed from 8:00 - 10:00 PM. We generally do the HM of the week and then whatever else we feel like is going to be fun. If you're interested in raiding, contact me on one of my Bora toons. Just /who Bora and pm me if I'm on, if not then send a pm to Borachev.
  2. Do not think you're entitled to a dev response just because of some post on the forums. Lightning in terms of the dps pecking order is doing perfectly fine. Madness could be buffed a bit. However thinking that because some nerf is pointed out on the forums demands a dev response is absolute lunacy.
  3. That long con finally paying off for you? If so, you're welcome for that.
  4. Uses I've found so far Killing people using droids in HM DF Killing people on Soa when the floor drops Being lazy on Gharj and swapping places with someone Dropping people on Tyrans using simplification Confusing your co tank on Calphayus by switching sides in the first phase Waiting at the top of elevators and Transposing people on them Putting a dps in the fire on Karagga Killing whoever is targeted by Kel'sara in TfB Moving slow people to the console on Op IX Moving slow people in front of Kephess Confusing dps when they move between platforms on the TfB Killing someone on Titan 6 when the blast wave goes past them Knocking the entire raid back/off on Master/Blaster
  5. That's quite the exact number. I'll believe it when I see it. Also, there's no way that anyone could get any meaningful averages by now, come on. I doubt that this early on we're seeing the actual dps spread considering nobody has gear and some classes have to rework their rotations. Now Lightning being as low as it is, I'll believe it. Madness not being that high, maybe not. We'll have to see once gearing gets sorted out and everyone has some time to play with the minor tweaks.

    Tanks in KotFA

There are very little meaningful changes being made. Both tanks get a new mobility option with Assassins getting what is essentially a leap and Juggernauts getting an equivalent of Force Speed with a damage element to them. Damage output in actual fights will be similar. Damage intake will be similar with a slight edge (tiny) to Juggs due to the stat pools more heavily favoring Defense. This has been done due to reasons. Threat is a non issue for all tanks if you can follow a rotation properly. For bosses involving adds that are up for any significant amount of time, Juggs will have the edge because Dark Ward will be eaten up more quickly by said adds. This is mostly a non issue as well. Tank balance was and is fairly even, so in the end just pick which one you have more fun with.
  7. Just bumping this. Team Platypus (10/10) is still recruiting 1 ranged DPS. We run Thursday/Sun/Mon 8-11 Eastern. Please contact either myself (Bora), Murda or Saevurr if you are interested in the spot.
  8. Bumping. We still need a healer for this group. Shoot me a PM on this site or hit me up in game on Boracrunch or any of my other toons that start with Bora.
  9. As the title says we need a healer due to real life commitments causing our previous healer to bow out. We're 5/10 and will shortly be 7/10 once the roster is settled again. I prefer a Commando or Sage healer as we already have a Scoundrel. Raid times are Tues/Wed 8 PM to 10 PM server time. Contact Boracrunch or Tenubrae if you are interested.
  10. From first glance, you are missing a lot of GCDs. Your APM is low for the amount of alacrity you have considering you do actually use Force Speed. With normal Force Speed usage, your APM should be around 51-52. Best advice I can give is to always be casting. Obviously you are delaying some things, figure out where and you'll be set. With your gear and optimal play, you should be averaging around 4850 and I'm confident you can do so once you bump up those APM.
  11. /Wave I may or may not have said this as soon as they came out with the Quake nerf. Congrats on the top parse. One day, the crit gods will understand my plight and let me break 5k...
  12. Actually, when we're not running a total alt run like in the image there, we just stack up Sano and Kurse and AoE the piss out of everything. Works quite nicely.
  13. You're not helping Crysta. Also, you know me too well.
  14. Thanks for the interest Roy, too bad your schedule didn't work out. Update! For our Sunday team, we still need one dps of any variety. For my Tuesday/Wednesday team, the gasket position has been filled but I still need a dps. Please contact me via pm here (I'm out of town until Monday) or talk to Tenubrae in game of you have any interest. I look forward to raiding with you guys!
  15. The only logical thing, more Kephesses. At least double the current amount.
  16. I've noticed very little difference between the two builds on actual bosses with, for me, the alacrity build coming out on top. Any interruptions to my rotation are entirely predictable and easily dealt with using either build. Using either build is perfectly fine in real fights as the difference is miniscule and entirely down to how tight you are with your rotation and how well you know fights. After that, it comes down to feel, I personally like the feel of the alacrity build over the power build.
  17. I've noticed excellent results on a dummy myself using the higher alacrity build. For raids, only a marginal improvement but that might just be done confirmation bias. I particularly like how it feels, everything seems to flow better and the Force Gust proc does not get thrown off as much. One thing that's really nice about it is that the effects of pushback are not felt quite as much, since the alacrity softly helps offset this. Overall, for fights like Underlurker it seems to work slightly better due to the decreased channel time. For everything else, it just feels better to use.
  18. First off <Pyre> is a more casual guild that's been around since before the first round of server mergers. We have a great time talking in voice chat and currently run 2 progression teams. That being said, both teams are in need of some new blood in our rosters. Our Sunday group (8-11 EST) is in need of 2 dps. This group is 3/10 and with some roster consistency will have Sword Squadron and Underlurker down shortly. Tenubrae (our GM) is the raid lead for this group. Feel free to message him with any interest you may have. Expectations are to put out acceptable dps numbers for your class while understanding the overall raid mechanics. Our Tuesday/Wednesday group (8-10 EST) is in need of 1 healer (Scoundrel or Mando preferred) and 1 dps (any variety). This is the group I lead, we are 5/10 HM with Revanite Commanders and Torque close to being downed soon. We've been around for quite a while together and as usual during the summer are dealing with some roster issues. I expect you to know the fights, ask questions about anything you may not understand and perform your role at a high level. On top of this, a good attitude and understanding of the group dynamic is absolutely necessary. We fully intend on getting to Coratanni soon so please contact me via PM on the forums or on any of my toons that start with "Bora." I'm usually on Boracrunch, Borac'duk or Boracarpe so shoot me a mail or whisper if you see me on. If you have any questions or interest please contact Tenubrae (GM) or myself in game.
  19. Except you don't need burst at all during the entirety of Coratanni/Ruugar. That is purely a sustained fight. For that fight, if I had a choice of Sorc, Merc or Sniper I would choose in this order: Merc, Sniper then Sorc for survivability and damage output. The Sorc will struggle to stay alive and it is simply far easier to perform dps wise as a Merc or Sniper of any spec on this fight. Mobility is mostly irrelevant other than spreading Double Down, which is easily accomplished without breaking rotation for any spec if they have the correct utilities. Mobility is nice for this tier, but any class can do it properly. There are two things that Sorcs bring that other ranged cannot, one is Static Barrier (which is only useful if you don't have a Sorc healer) and the other is offhealing potential (severely nerfed from previous content cycles). That is all. Honestly if either of those are absolutely necessary and the reason you pick a Sorc over the other two, you really shouldn't be looking at your dps, it's your healers that are the problem. Everything you just said is the exact reason people shy away from Sorcs on both Cora and Revan. Their survivability is abysmal even if their dps output is sufficient. Having fewer hits per second is also completely irrelevant as surviving the Ruugar Hostage Situation is entirely about self control and timing as opposed to hitting the boss less. I.e. don't hit Ruugar when you know exactly when he's going to do Hostage Situation. For the mouse droids, straight up dying to RNG where any other class would live? That's why Sages are not preferred in any raid group. Don't get me wrong, I love playing my Sage. I do raid with it quite a bit, but in a more casual setting from my other raid. For the two groups that I lead, given the choice, Sage is losing the class choice debate despite my own personal bias.
  20. I'm not entirely sure what you don't understand here. Anywhere between 0 and 250 crit rating does not have a very meaningful difference to dps output. So, more than 250 is bad, but anything less is ok to run with. I personally prefer the full power build, but that's just me.
  21. Actually I am, particularly for pvp where Force Armor is necessary and rng fails can happen for resource generation procs. TK is no longer Force positive like it used to be but this is beside the point. I stand corrected, Bacta Infusion does have a net cost of 2.something ammo over the course of its gcd. But it's still useful and significantly more useful than medical probe as it's an instant and stronger. Off heading got nerfed across the board with the large spam heals being removed from every class. Self healing being the main factor is inherently not part of the devs idea for survivability in pvp
  22. KTap did a bit of testing a while back (and I've done some myself) testing various crit ratings from 0 to 400 or so. Basically there is no significant change in DPS between 0 and around 250 crit rating that is noticeable in a real parse.
  23. Are you seriously making this post under the assumption that the ONLY thing a Commando can do to heal is to use Medical Probe? As in you don't own Bacta Infusion (free and instant) or Med Shot (yes weak, but can be used on the move and is also free) for your comparison? And if you notice, your OP Sage self healing leaves the Sage at roughly 60% Force. That's a bit of a detriment to continuing to function if you need to eat up 40% of your resource pool while contributing no damage to your group along with the fact that they would not be going into that with full Force. I can go on, but I'll wait for the rainbow of text to show up.
  24. Eats some popcorn. Because who doesn't like popcorn other than when it gets gritty and gets in your teeth.
