  1. This thread deserves more attention... The current weapon rewards are only usable by 3 advanced classes out of 16.... There needs to be some Light Sabers, Saber Staffs, Blaster Pistols for rewards. And no giving them to your companions does not count as them being usable for your class thats just stupid.
  2. Why are there Bind to Legacy sniper rifles and blaster rifles on there and no blaster pistols, or light sabers?? So now those players who use Rifles can transfer rakata/columi barrels /crystals/etc to other characters but people who use Sabers cannot?? Wow thats awesome. MY SUGGESTION:: Put some Bind to Legacy weapons of ALL TYPES on the Event Vendor OR get rid of the Rifles.
  3. Im on Canderous Ordo... and I'd be curious to know if it only happens when you queue with a full group already, not if you queue with only 2-3 or solo.
  4. Just got online after getting new patch and queued with a group to do Any Random HM FP. It gave me ALL the FPs... BT, BP, Foundry, D7, FE, Kaon ... So we completed BP since thats what it teleported us to first. And didn't get BH Comms and then as soon as we exitted BP it asked us if we wanted to travel again and was going to port us to one of the other FPS.. To add more frustration when we disbanded the group it told me I had left a LFG Group in progress and therefor couldn't rejoin the LFG Queue again for 15 minutes!!!!! Awesome patch.
  5. So I've continued to switch between doing Warzones and the uber repetetive and boring 5th time through planets.... and the more that I do this the more obvious it is that trying to level through warzones is ludicrous even with the +30% WZ experience from legacy unlocks. Its just not enough to make it viable. A guild mate has all the WZ Exp unlocks and said at level 48-49 he could get 30k Xp in 1 warzone if it was a GOOD one where his side won and he had 10+ medals. Hope this suggestion gets more attention!
  6. BTW for reference... I just went to Tatooine at level 27, ran 4 missions in the Mos Anek area and turned them in, missions rewards + xp from killing the enemies during these missions got me 81k experience... and it took me 45 minutes... Most I could have gotten in 3 warzones in the same time frame would have been about 50k at the MOST. And I have the +30% on WZ experience, I dont have any of the other + Experience legacy unlocks...
  7. Agreed... In the Upper 40's in levels you can get 24-26k experience in a Warzone, but the XP required to go up a level is like 400-500k if I remember correctly... I really thing adding the rested XP into WZ kills would be great... Look at it like this... Currently at level 26 I got 15k xp on my last warzone... if you added a small xp gain per kill of say 200xp and I got 20 kills, thats 4000xp and if I'm rested that is doubled to 8k... So now for the same Warzone I get the 15k + the 8k... 23k xp at level 26 is a respectable amount... have it scale a little bit... maybe you get 10xp per level for each kill... so at level 26 i'd actually be getting 260 per kill at level 40 400 per kill... and of course being RESTED would have an additional benefit then just griding mobs on some random planet.
  8. TLDR: Make PvP a more viable method for leveling to avoid boredom and burnout having to repeat Planets quests over and over on new characters. Do this by getting more XP from Warzones, particularly by using the "Rested" status to gain more XP from kills in PvP. ------------------------- FULL Rant below I have never seen where Warzone experience is explained, or what exactly the Legacy unlocks for more WZ Experience effects... But I would like to suggest that Warzone XP needs to be buffed or slightly altered... My suggestion is in the matter of "Rested" experience gain specifically. If warzones currently take into account kills in the WZ as gaining XP then I think if you have "Rested" status you should get double XP on the just the kills XP like you do when killing npcs while questing.... WZ's are not currently a viable option for leveling from 11-50 by themselves... I have a mid 20's Sniper I've been PvPing a lot on and seem to get about 13-15k exp per WZ on average sometimes upto 16-17k but rarely.. I almost always have 9-10 medals, lots of kills, defender points where appropriate... But each WZ takes 15 mins + say 2 mins between Warzones waiting in Queue. So 17 mins for average of 15k xp = about 55k per hour. At level 27 you need 157k to get to 28... thats 3 hours of warzones... Or goto Tatooine run 1 area's set of missions (usually about 5-6) that takes maybe an 60-90 mins at most and you get like 10k xp per mission + bonus missions + Experience from each mob you kill + rested experience if your rested... You can easily get 150k exp in 60-90 mins... But since this is my 4th character to play through Tatooine (and other planets) I hate doing all the same stupid planet quests over and over and over and over and over and over.... I would like to do just Class quests that I haven't seen before and then PVP for the rest... but this is not a viable option due to it take 3x the amount of time investment which many casual players dont have that much time to play. TLDR: Make PvP a more viable method for leveling to avoid boredom and burnout having to repeat Planets quests over and over on new characters. Do this by getting more XP from Warzones, particularly by using the "Rested" status to gain more XP from kills in PvP.
  9. QFT People are way to impatient ... Do I think the initial phase is a little underwhelming? Yes... Do I think it's kind of silly that they did 6 EU servers and only 4 US? Yes... What will I do about it? Wait 2 weeks to see if my server shows up... If my server doesn't show up by then, maybe just maybe I will come on forums and ask about it in a civil way.
  10. Interesting this post got MOVED.... From the "Customer Service" forum to the "Suggestions" forum. That was obviously done by a BW employee/forum mod who didn't bother to reply. I for one am not surprised by this...
  11. Agree with almost everything you said OP.... I also filled out that key logger/ phishing looking Survey that Bioware linked us to.... Filled it out twice and am 100% sure all the info was correct (Seriously? How freaking complicated is Forum Name, Char Name, and a Drop Down box for Server). Guess what? No character was transferred. While waiting on the character I started leveling a new char on the PTS and reported a bug I found. Guess what? I'm not going to continue working on that character. I'm not going to invest the time needed to bring that char to 50 when one that I already have SHOULD have been copied as promised. And after this ridiculousness I am only giving BW a couple more weeks until my sub runs out. If the main server I play on is not included in server transfers (I don't care if its Origin or Destination) I'm done. I haven't seen more then 70 people on Fleet on my server in about a month. 2 months ago it was "okay" with having about 140-170 on fleet during prime times. Now I saw 50 ppl online on Saturday evening. PRIME TIME ON WEEKEND and 50 people? WOW! So much MMO there.
  12. I filled the survey out twice for the same character... once last week right after the announcement was made about this being possible... and again on Tuesday earlier this week after the PTS was brought online and my char wasn't there yet. I am 100% certain that I filled it out correctly the 2nd time b/c I signed on the forums to make sure my Forum name was correct, then I logged into the game to make absolutely certain I spelled the character name correctly... and the server name is Juyo which is obviously very easy.... And yet my character didn't get copied. I want to test 1.3 end game changes... Ranked WZ, Ops, HM Fps, LFG, changes to mercenary... I dont want to re-level a character on a pointless "fake" server. Seriously? Whats the point of playing a new character on test server... I hate leveling real characters so why the F would I do it on a test server that is meaningless in the long run. This really pisses me off, probably more then it should but it does... If my main server (Juyo) isnt included in the real server transfers that'll be the final straw for me...
  13. If I am understanding what you are saying you play mostly mornings your time... Say 8am-Noon... If you are west coast you could try playing a high population east coast server since they would be 3 hours ahead of you... it would be like 11am-3pm on that servers region time, might be more players... if you are already on east coast you might be able to play on Euro servers like someone else suggested so long as your connection is very solid. Failing both those options someone suggested just playing on the highest pop server in your region which is a good idea... and with Summer coming up there might be more players online at all times soon, albiet they will be "kids" lol
  14. I am on Juyo (US East - PVE) and Torstatus has it at a 1.29 which according to the OP's original formula puts our average at 540 population... Evenings and weekends its not hard to find random PUG groups for Flashpoints or to Queue for WZs and get them back to back or at least every 5-10 minutes. But if you don't normally play at peak evening times, which I don't b/c of when I work, it can be frustrating if you don't find a good guild active in your play time. I have been fortunate to find a guild on my server that runs two ops a week that I can usually make it to and we regularly clear EV and KP on Hardmode. We haven't tried and probably aren't ready for EC but I can't complain after reading so much on the forums about people not able to run anything. I would love to see Juyo population Double what it currently is, but don't neccesarily want Fatman level population due to waiting queues just to log into the game... if Fatman is 3500 average with 20 minute waits I'd prefer somewhere around maybe 2250 average with no wait times ... If the would just cut the number of servers by HALF that would be a significant improvement and still leave room for the playerbase to grow if needed (Wishful thinking I'm sure) ...
  15. Know what I hate.... "Press Spacebar to Continue" AND Intro Movies AND Being randomly once out of every 5 matches of Voidstar getting put on a speeder that flies around the warzone at a sedate 1mph while I pound my head into my desk in boredom. The whol having to press SPacebar to continue is DUMB... You don't have to do that on Huttball or Civilwar why do I have to do it on Novare and Voidstar... So... I understand the intro cutscene/movie the 1st time you do something, but once I've watched it once its just another annoyance that takes longer (only seconds im sure) to load times and makes me smash my spacebar with a 10lb sledge hammer over and over.... Yes I am over reacting but I would pay an extra $10/month to avoid all "Spacebar to Continue" and all the video cutscenes after the 1st time they play. This includes the operations/FPs with cutscenes and Spacebar to continue and the WZs kthxbai
  16. This suggestion seems to have dropped like 10+ pages without hardly any views so I am bumping it ... Am I the only one that hates having like 150 green/blue schematics that are mostly pointless... Once you take a green and research to blue then to purple its silly to keep the green and maybe even the blue one since the purple is obviously better. Plus most of the schematics you learn going from 0-340ish in a skill are completely worthless and never crafted after you get to 400. You use a 1 or maybe 2 at each skill stepping stone to take the skill up then never need them again. As I mentioned in my 1st post on my alt characters I am only learning 1 schematic needed at each skill level to keep progressing but on my 1st (Main) character I just bought all the schematics when leveling up and now its a mess actually trying to use that skill. I'd almost be tempted to unlearn and start over at 0 except I have a lot or schematics I don't want to lose (Orange Gear + Endgame schematics dropped from bosses/fps/ops, battlermaster / war hero schems) Sooooooooo....... Lets get the ability to UNLEARN/DELETE schematics we don't want any longer.
  17. I think we should be able to unlearn / delete schematics... My 1st character I leveled up I just bought every schematic from the vendor... now dont even use any of them.... It would be so nice to unlearn/delete schematics you don't care about anymore. Its annoying having to scroll all the way up and down looking for stuff. On alts I am running I only buy 1 schematic at each skill area needed to level it up... like 1 for 20 Armstech 1 for 60 1 for 100 1 for 140...etc etc to 400... So that once u get to 400 you only have learned maybe 10-12 useless schematics..
  18. I play on a medium population server generally see 90-140 ppl on Imperial Fleet on evenings and more on weekends.... Since 1.2 queue times have gone up significantly... Also, run into a couple of Repub premades that are an auto loss for us... I never do 4man premades, most I do is team up with 1 other guild mate and queue... anytime we see certain repub premades we just try to get medals, cause its not possible to win against them... at least if we get some medals we can get a few comms and valor out of it... I also am hoping that Cross Server and/or Ranked will help to stop the premade vs pug decimation that occurs now... I think my sub runs out end of June with the free 30 days... they better have Cross Server out by then or I'll find something else to play for sure.
  19. I agree... I have had a 50 Merc Arsenal specc'd since shortly after launch... In Huttball the Merc is severely crippled Huttballs Constant movement with the ball going back and forth reallly hurts a merc who has to sit still and shoot, so if your shooting the ball carrier and he then passes it forward you are left behind and have no way to catch up since u are in combat so cant sprint and have no movement buffs. The other warzones its not quite as bad b/c you can be a defender or even when attacking its all focused in a specific area either on the buttons/pillars in Novare and Civil War or the Doors on Voidstar. So you can find yourself a nice niche or corner or semi out of the way hiding spot around those points and rain down fire and brimstone. Of course if you get focused by 2+ ppl as a merc you are going down and there is nothing you can do about it, you have no interrupt, only 1 stun (Concussion missile doesn't count since u gotta cast for 3 seconds) and no ability to run/hide and your healing ability are super long casts (unless specced healer of course but this conversation is about DPS) I have been leveling an Assassin and have to say it is far superior in PvP due to multiple stuns/roots, speed boost, vanish, enemy pull... You can be highly mobile root/stun others, and if you get focused you just vanish speed boost and run around a corner/building to regain health then come back into the fight on your own terms. Merc's DPS spec deff needs some kind of boost... just an interrupt would help immensely, esp for PvE also.
  20. I play on Juyo server emperial side... have beat SOA with my guild 4-5 times on Story/Normal and once on Hard (Just 2 days ago)... Have also beat him a couple times in pickup groups on Story Mode. Prior to 1.2 there were some issues with mind traps, lightning balls, and being thrown around and dropped in the middle of the room to fall 40 stories and die... but since 1.2 there hasn't been hardly any problems at all as far as I have seen. My guild makes EV a Weekly run on Story Mode and is looking at doing Hard weekly now as well.
  21. Any imperials on the JUYO Server participating/ monitoring this thread? Please mail me. I'm collecting Livers and Ice Ferns but don't have access to a schematic yet... Character name -- Allura
  22. Rakghoul Plague and all the new pet content (orokeet, raklings, tauntauns) are all awesome stuff! Do not remove the plague or the pets!
  23. I currently have 400 in Cyber/Scavenge/UT... I don't use the Cyber hardly at all, I've made myself the 400 Speeder and a couple of the reusable grenades and I've made some Mods/Armoring for alts or lower level guild mates. But the best Mods/Armoring we can make right now are level 22 from what I have seen, this is NOT as good as the PvP or PvE endgame gear, and with 1.2 allowing people to extract even more armor from items doesn't this hurt Cybertech? Where is the use of Cybertech? I currently don't use it to make money (Don't really see where the market is, maybe I'm blind) Will we be able to RE the level 23-25 armoring/mods and learn those schematics? I know we'll supposedly be able to sell the speeders but they aren't that great really. So is there potential in Cybertech I am not using... or should I switch to something I think will be more useful like Armortech. Armortech goes with the 2 other skills I already have and I'll be able to make all those interesting endgame armors with augments and the self made crit crafted stuff.... Basically I am asking for enlightenment on Cybertech ... or should I start working Armortech up as much as possible before 1.2?
  24. I played UO from 1998 to like 2001 on the Great Lakes server. Loved that game, was the first real MMO I think there ever was, certainly he first I ever played. I had one character who was perma-red from PKing (Non Consensual Player Killing LOL). And others that were upstanding citizens. I didn't mind Trammel when it came along, it gave the whiny care-bears a place to go and play house. But there were still dungeons and greater rewards for those who spent time in Felucia (Is it sad I can still remember the names?). At my peak play time I had 2 accounts with houses in both facets. One of my favorite activities was that due to limited player housing space once the server was full you had to try and find houses that were neglected due to players quitting or getting banned, etc and the house associated with the account would "fall down" after like 31 days of inactivity. Finding these houses and camping out waiting for it to fall so that you could fight other players for both the land and the contents of the house was a rush. Pull all-nighter shifts with friends to always have a watch on the house. Logging multiple characters out in the area so that if you died on one you could switch characters quickly and get back in the action (There wasnt really any such thing as a med droid to auto revive on scene). It was good times. *edit* Oh and when you died in the game it actually MEANT something. You dropped all your belongings and gear to your corpse and had to run and find a ressurection and run back to your corpse within like 10 mins or it was all gone. Or someone might walk by and loot your corpse depending on where you died. Also if you were a PK'er and died you would not only lose your belongings by also lose skill points if you had to many murder counts and ressurected.
