  1. Lets just remove Undying Rage. Add a new ability. Unstoppable Rage- Cleanses the Marauder of all Debuffs, Grants Immunity to All Damage, CC, and cannot be healed for 5 seconds. No cost 1 min CD Solves the communities issues with it being a "second life" since they can't be healed, AND it gives marauders a brief window where they can reliably do their burst damage. (Something I almost wish I was a Vengeance juggernaut for) Trust me when I say Marauders hate having 0 protection against CC just as much as everyone else hates having to kill a Marauder twice. Watching a Marauder pop Undying Rage at 1% hp just to be healed to full sucks. As a Marauder getting hit with a knockback+root when you have that healer at 1% hp just to watch them heal back to full sucks.
  2. Force Shroud > Gore > Ravage > Force Scream > Execute. Huehuehue. I do agree that would be god damn ridiculous(ly fun... for us). I would trade Undying rage for just the CC immunity of Force Shroud. Just so that I could have uncounterable damage for 5 seconds. It is only slightly annoying that anyone can ruin our burst combo by throwing a random CC at us. The only thing more annoying is when everyone thinks you have the unstoppable burst of a Pyrotech
  3. I don't get why people hate Undying Rage so much. Only bad players don't see the glaring weakness of it. It is extremely predictable when they will use it. If you can't guess when a Marauder will use Undying Rage within ~1 second of it use.... You have no idea what you are doing. He is always going to use it at 10% hp if he is able to. Every. Single. Time. So what do you do about it? Simple. Stun him at ~20% hp and then execute him in the next 2-3 GCDs. Unless he has his CC breaker up it it works every time. (Im sure someone will say they used their stun on Ravage instead... you are suppose to use a KB or mez or Evasion or a 2nd stun etc.). But hey blindly using your skills at random and thinking the enemy class is OP works to. As for it being the "best" defense in the game. I would GLADLY trade it away for Force Shroud any time and any day. 5 seconds of Full cleanse + CC immunity + Debuff immunity + immunity to 90% of abilities . And you guys think not taking damage for 5 seconds is better than that? Wow... Best of all you can use it at anytime so it is impossible to predict it and counter it. The CC immunity makes it also very useful for far more than just a "please just let me live 5 more seconds". Better still it can be used twice as often as undying rage. But nah Undying Rage is completely uncounterable and unpredictable and makes marauders harder to kill than tanks.

  5. I'm not calling for nerfs for anyone until Rated WZs come out, but you DO realize that Tanksins beat EVERY class/spec 1v1 right? It takes a very good Tanksins to do it since they have a ton of skills to use, and properly timing and comboing them takes a lot of effort. However, once you learn how to counter each class you will find that you can beat ANYONE as a tanksin. They really do have no counters in a 1v1 environment. The only way to "beat" a tanksin is hope he is under geared or hasn't learned how to counter your class yet. But I could care less about 1v1 balance. I am far more interested how the classes are balanced in regards to 8 man premades for Rated WZs. While I do think that Tanksins bring way to much to a team(Fills the role of a Tank perfectly, Awesome burst damage, Most CC in the game, Arguably the best at EVERY objective, and does it all at once). I am willing to wait and see how it plays out before any serious balancing needs to occur.
  6. DPS Operatives are the bane of Marauders. Trust me that when you fight a GOOD one that uses Vanish offensively. You will be faceplanted in seconds. They ignore almost all of our defenses except Cloak of Pain and Undying Rage. They completely ignore our 3 min CD Blade Ward. Go find a GOOD DPS Operative and have him duel a good Marauder. It won't even be close. It really is scary how fast they destroy us. As for Tanksins. They beat everything 1v1. It isn't even close. We held a 1v1 tournament on our server and ONLY Tanksins made it to the top. One Tanksin beat everybody that wasn't a Tanksin with 80%+ hp every time. It takes a very good player to bring out the best in a Tanksin, but once they do they can't be stopped. If you want to QQ about a class that is unbeatable in 1v1 battles this is the one. Tanks are also a nightmare to fight if they are geared. Honestly the only classes that Marauders counter are the 3 most popular FOTM classes(old and new) Pyrotechs, Arsenal Mercs, and Sorcerers. For some reason everyone thinks Marauders are 1v1 gods because of it. As for Group PVP. I really can't see people taking more than 2 Marauders for rated. They can't heal or guard and their CC options are very lackluster. You are going to see teams taking 1 for early Predation then stacking Pyros and Tanksins and Healers.

Step 2- proceed to lose to any Tanksin or DPS operative or Tank that took the time to learn to play instead of complaining that "I would rahter complain than listen to people trying to teach me how to play better". Step 3- Enjoy having close fights with half the classes in the game. Step 4- Beat any bad players or people not using their "PVP" spec. Step 5- Profit. You can beat popular classes like Pyro Powertechs, non-hybrid sorcerers, and Arsenal Mercs with ease. Unfortunately, Countering the 3 most popular noob-magnet classes will get incredible amounts of QQ about your class posted on the forums though. Just grin and bear it from here. I love you people. Really! I've been playing an Annihilation Marauder since release. When people said "lol why are you playing such a weak class. You should reroll Arsenal Mercs or Hybrid Sorcerer because they are easy and OP". I want "Nah I like this class so I'll stick it out because if they really are OP they will just get nerfed, and then I'll be stuck with an average class I don't like". Months Later after quite a few nerfs to my spec the public has decided that suddenly the weakest class at release is suddenly the strongest class even though the Spec has only received nerfs(except the uninterruptable ravage buff). All I will say is that reroll to Marauders if you want, but only do it if you like playing the class. I'm sure half of you rerollers started as a Merc or Sorcerer because you heard they were OP and now want a new OP class. There is a special place in hell for all you FOTM rerollers where you will constantly level up FOTM classes that will proceed to get nerfed immediately upon you reaching max level so you have to reroll again until the end of time. One day you guys will figure out that chasing the new FOTM will never work out for you as it is a constant cycle. It is instead better to pick a class you like to play and wait until you become the FOTM.

    1. what classes do you play and how do you feel about them (Annihilation) Marauder. I think they are pretty close to balanced currently. Most team are going to take 1-2 Marauders and no more since beyond the 1st they don't bring much to a team. I know there is no chance of it currently with the current public view of marauders, but Annihilation could really use some kind of dispel protection as 30 of their talent points are negated by a single dispel. 2. what classes tend to beat you on what classes Tanksins beat me as well as DPS Operatives. DPS Operative that burn Vanish Offensively faceplant me literally in seconds as they ignore 90% of my defenses. 3. what classes do you beat on what classes If I burn both of my 3 min CDs as well as all 6-1 min CDs I beat almost everything else(eventually for healers). Depending on which CDs are up I beat various classes. 4. what possible changes do you think could be made (nerf/buff/desgin to wz itself please include more than just one of these) to make pvp better Make it impossible to change gear in a WZ so that clases like Tanksins can't swap from DPS to Tank when on offense/defense. Change Civil War Nodes to be like Novare Coast nodes so it is possible to capture them if you overwhelm the enemy with numbers. Use Novare Coast "node capture" type for Voidstar doors as well. Make any type of Movement/Immunity skill drop the huttball immediately to encourage passing instead of just having a tank holding the ball all game leaping around the WZ. 5. Do you think there should be multiple skill level brackets to chose from (new to pvp, beginner, intermediate, advanced, expert, all of which are account wide locked out based on pvp ranks so no fresh toon in new when main is maxed out in pvp) I think Rated WZs will cover this as well as it needs to be. Splitting the already small playerbase even more may result in longer queue times. I would though love to see a solo queue only queue though. 6. Ways to encourage TEAMWORK in wz Have a Players name pop up whenever they score/assist a goal in Huttball. 7. Ways to discourage kill farming and "solo play" in wz Does it need to be discouraged? Some players just want to kill things in PVP and you can't really fault them for that. There isn't a Deathmatch mode for them. 8. Exploits/hacks/glitches/bugs you have seen and would like addressed. People kill me. Ban them plz. (that's a joke btw )
  9. What? Did you miss the memo for like the past 6 months? Assassin tanks in DPS gear are THE best 1v1 class. To the point where noone can beat them. They beat every single class and spec. It's a bit crazy that there isn't a class that counters them but whatever. Hold a 1v1 tournament on your server. The only class that will get to the finals will be Tanksins. Guaranteed. Though I don't feel they need to be nerfed yet(or anyone for that matter). Not until 8 man rated WZs come out and we truly see where the classes stand in competitive group PVP. They probably do need nerfs because they fill every role at once and are the best at almost every objective. Though I wouldn't base a nerf on theory.

  11. HEY! Do you want to win every 1v1 match up? With your eyes closed? Try some Tanksin today! Do you want to have the most CC in the game? Enough to white bar people 3 times over? Mezs, Stuns, Pull. More CC then HIS body has room for! Do you want to be the Tankiest thing on the field not wearing full tank gear? Not tanky enough? Try full tank gear and you'll be able to tank so many enemies. FOUR HUNDRED enemies! How about some rock solid burst damage? Enough to compete for top DPS? How about some Harnessed Darkness! Now comes in the lightning flavor! Made with REAL Lightning! You want to fill the role of a Tank while doing all this? why not! Have a Guard and a Taunt! Even a Pull for good measure! Sound the Alarm! You'll be uncomfortably useful! You want to be a the best at every objective? Run a Huttball, Guard a door, Guard a Node, Ninja a Node, Kill that poor fool then steal his Node, Pull that Huttball carrier into the fire. You'll Stun people better than cheaters! You'll Stun so good that people will think you are a cheater! You will stun so hard you'll tie against actual cheaters! People will think you are an actual cheater so they'll ban you so hard you'll get sent back to REAL LIFE! Don't gamble on your class. Go Tanksin today! edit-Tanksins AAHHHHHH!
  12. I think healers are in a decent spot right now. Though they might need abit of tweaking so that all 3 healers are roughly equal. They are weak enough that the game isn't a giant healfest where noone dies. They are strong enough that you need 2-3 of them at a minimum to be competitive. When I PVP I want **** to die. Whether it is me or my enemies. I DON'T want to have games with sides having 10 million damage done and 4 kills.
  13. I can only tell you how it is for an Annihilation Marauder. (Carnage and Rage are worse 1v1 if it matters). They are nowhere near as powerful 1v1 as these forums say they are. Given top gear and skill 1v1 they lose to Tanksins DPS Operatives 1v1 they are very close with Op Healers Tank Juggernauts Powertechs(Any spec) Pyro Mercs(supposedly) Hybrid Sorcerers They beat the rest of the classes to various degrees If you don't understand(or refuse to) how these classes are suppose to fight Marauders. Go onto their Class forums and ask Top players how they handle Marauders. Please do not bother us with another "Nu uh Marauders are godmode and unbeatable" remark. Please PLEASE At the very least go to your class forum and ask for advice from top players before saying a class is unbeatable.
  14. Convince your Diehard Pyro Mercs that they need help. Last time I tried to say "yeah you guys need some help". I got ripped apart by them. They swear you can beat Marauders 1v1 so go ask them for help.
  15. I know I only did 50k damage that game, but I was totally focused on objectives. All I did was just sat there staring at the node and hitting anyone who touched it. I never bothered hitting anyone else because the point is to protect the node and not kill people duh! It an objective based game so obvious that is all you are suppose to do right? Please don't add scoreboards that further show I did basically nothing all game!
  16. I'll agree that APM aren't really that important in this game. But you are implying you only have 40 APM? I wish I had your class! Don't go playing a Marauder with 40 APM. Half the abilities(relics adrenals included) are off the GCD and your energy regen is based directly off how quickly you can hit your next ability each GCD. When you are sometimes pressing 2-3 buttons a GCD it can get difficult to clip GCDs perfectly. Personally I would love to see small statistic like "APM" and something and small as "interrupts used" or "stuns used" added to the end of game scoreboard. If only so I can always laugh at Troopers and their 0 "interrupts used".
  17. There is a hidden talent for Operatives. It gives them an extra second worth of stun for more stunlocking. Able to do full damage outside of melee range. And they can wear Heavy armor. The talents called "Reroll Powertech". On a more serious note. I can't tell if you are complaining that Operatives stunlock is overpowered, or that stunlocking is the only thing that they are viable for?
  18. Nah man I'm terrible. It sucks to be this bad. I logged in for 5 mins and then a naked Operative stunlocked me to death. Luckily he didn't crit and I just got temporarily banned. Dodge an "unsubscribe" crit there!
  19. EVERY class has the CC needed to kite an Annihilation Marauder(that's the spec you are complaining about most likely). Yes even mercenaries have the skills needed. You'll have to spec Pyro for it. But you should be pyro anyway. Now if you need us to tell you how to play your class correctly.... ****. We've told you our "weaknesses" and what to exploit to win against Marauders. You should already know how to play your class and what abilities you have. So go add 2+2 or just accept that you will always be a bad player if you resort to "nerf posts" on the forums because you don't want to learn your class.

Obfuscate is awesome(like Undying Rage "good") against Marauder Sniper Juggernaut Situationally useful against Powertech Assassin Mercenary Generally worthless against Sorcerer Operative I find a good indicator between bad Marauders and good Marauders is how(or IF) they use obfuscate. Shows they understand how other classes beyond themselves(if even that) work.
  21. Made a simpler list. Bad players prefer simple, and that's who need the help most. ( If this list is to "complicated" or "too much work" for you. God help you.) Annihilation .1)If you can cleanse Physical Debuffs. Do it. It will remove almost 50% of his damage and remove his self healing and his Slows AND ~30 talent points. Brutal. Once people learn to dispel this spec will probably disappear from competitive play. .2) Kite These guys 24/7. Every class has the means of staying out of melee range of an Annihilation marauder for the majority of the fight. If you don't know how to do it. Learn how. Their ability to get/stay in melee combat is one of the lowest in the game. .3)Unfortunately, 1v1 you will eventually lose if they burn EVERY CD as this is their "1v1" spec. So If you aren't a Tanksin or DPS OP you probably won't win 1v1 if they burn everything.(8 abilities with over 1 min CD two of which have a 3 min CD so he can't do it often, if you cared). Sorry? If it makes you feel better this spec has a very good chance of not existing in competitive play. Carnage 1.) Don't focus on kiting them 24/7 like Annihilation as they have decent anti-kite skills 2.) When he uses gore every ~15 seconds, Stop him from attacking for ~4-5 seconds using ANY means necessary(stun/Knockback). If you get hit with the full Gore > Ravage > Force Scream. You die. Don't let that happen. 3.)Without their 3 min CDs many classes will win the DPS race VS this spec. With their 3 min CD its a toss up for most. Rage 1.) Avoid Smash 2.) ??? 3.) Profit ?.) If you haven't figured out how to counter these guys yet. God help you.
  22. You CANNOT have a pure melee class with purely backloaded damage being squishy enough that they are a viable focus targets in PVP. Look at Deception Assassins and how they are a terrible spec and noone plays it because they are basically Marauders with half the survivability. Luckily for Assassins they still have a good spec with Tanksins so they don't have to reroll. Please do NOT turn all 3 Marauder specs into the new "Deception Assassin" simply because your team decided to focus someone other than the enemy healers. Here is a hint for fighting teams with Marauders. Marauders are one of the worst classes at protecting their healers. They are also one of the easiest classes to "peel" off of your healers. In a game that is 100% about focusing down healers first it should be pretty obvious what to do now yes?
  23. Rage seems to still be the least liked spec for Marauders. I wouldn't really call it "bad" but it doesn't play to a Marauder natural strengths of shutting down (single) key targets. And you are correct that 90% of Rage is setting up your next smash. If you want to be Rage I would argue that Juggernauts still do it slightly better. Because they just have much more control in PVP which helps Rage a ton during their "downtime" between smashes and such. That is purely my opinion though.
  24. Hah! I'm like the exact opposite. I find Carnage to be extremely "choppy", but It's probably because I've been playing Annihilation 99% of the time. Every time I play carnage I feel like nothing flows together. Its just one frantic saber thrust after another and I can't keep up.
