  1. Yep. 5000 is way way too low if you're not going to allow refunds. At least with 6000 you can buy two pieces and reset to 0, but honestly 9000 would be more appropriate.
  2. Amen. That just shows a lack of new ideas when you do that.
  3. I would pay for a legacy unlock so that I never have to do it again and just get HK without having to play the thing again on every alt.
  4. Yeah, but now in addition to being worthless, they sell for like 100 credits each. Give us literally anything else that might be moderately useful, even if it's just a couple of tech fragments rather than gear that literally NOTHING productive can be done with - selling, disintegrating, whatever.
  5. That guide you linked to is the bomb. Thank you so much for that.
  6. I just went and bought the tactical I wanted for $1M credits and 3000 tech fragments when I maxed out at 5000 tech fragments. Much better than doing dailies and weeklies and hoping RNG would eventually give me the one I wanted. However, other discussion in game chat suggested that there were more set bonuses out there than just the ones sold at the vendors, so now I'm wondering if that is in fact true.
  7. So far I've mostly been doing the story (finished first alt yesterday off-and-on gaming) mixed with usual group content (PVP and GSF) and then MM FP's. Finished MM FP weekly, got like three purple loot boxes and.........nothing particularly unusual from those loot boxes, so I'm not seeing where doing these is any better than any other content, except that it's worse because a bunch of trash 70's are queuing for FP's in really old gear and causing multiple wipes. So I'm thinking that I'm done with that - large time investment, multiple repair bills, no huge benefit. Yet I'm reading other people in the forum saying that it should just take a couple weeks to get to 306. Are you doing something that I'm not? Also, given that gear rewards are based on incrementally improving the gear you've got, is there any benefit at all to increased renown levels other than getting more loot boxes filled with green gear that's largely similar to stuff I'm already wearing or a mere 2 levels better?
  8. Max level is 75 now. It's ridiculous to be getting completely worthless armor drops in PVE that is 10 levels below the new level cap. Change it to something that's actually useful.
  9. Just retitle this thread "Disappointed that I ever have to pay anything to play this game" and post it every month or so.
  10. What's the fastest route to an armor set with a set bonus?
  11. Amplifiers? Stims? My understanding was that armor rating was no longer going to be relevant. I assume Tacticals still do their tactical function?
  12. Sure. The larger guilds I've been in typically are good for conquest, but very few of the really good PVP players are in those guilds. I like being in them for the conquest rewards, but haven't developed my PVP skills much.
  13. Seems like most of the PVP guilds are fairly toxic, but if there's one with nice people in it that don't mind teaching a good objectives player how to better a better damage dealer/healer, I'd be interested in joining. Ewok to Remember was nice, but there weren't usually that many people on when I was on.
  14. Note that experienced did not necessarily mention ace, although that would be welcomed as well. Just people that like to play GSF a lot. I am one of the recruiters in a very large family friendly pub/imp guild called The Eternal Order. Membership generally hovers near the 1,000 mark and the roster is purged every so often of people that haven't logged in in a long time, so it's fairly active. Generally you can find a group to do pretty much any group activity you are interested in. The exception to that, of course, is GSF. On our PVP cadre meeting nights (Wednesday), we split into groups that want to do ground PVP and GSF. Usually it's just a few people doing GSF, including an officer who is participating not because they love GSF necessarily but just to make sure there's an officer in the group. i'd like to parlay this large group of active SWTOR players and see if we can't build some new interest in the game. ideally, if we could find a couple of people with the skill and the interest, I'd like to schedule training sessions so that newer players could work with some of the experienced pros and build their skills faster. If this sounds at all interesting to you, respond in the thread or PM/mail me in-game at Arynye (Sith) or Kateastrophe (Republic). Thanks
  15. BUMP For god's sake, get off your lazy asses and fix this incredibly simple to fix bug so we can get our masterwork crystal.
  16. Because everyone decided to have a gripe session about what the weekly missions are instead of the far more relevant fact that the mission that they don't want to do ISN'T WORKING.
  17. I think the rise in effectiveness of strike fighters had mitigated the concerns about gunships being overpowered somewhat. When you can launch proton torpedoes from 11.5K m against a ship that has to charge it's 15K m weapon, there is a chance to fight them. My bigger concern is finding a way to deal with the afk problem and the people who don't even play the game while in it while also providing incentive *to* play the game. To me, that's all about fixing what rewards Conquest gives you for doing GSF stuff. Give them nothing for being afk and give people something for simple achievements like 5 assists/kills combined or 200 objective points in domination. Give higher amounts for larger achievements. The way GSF is going though, it seems to be less popular than ever. I waited hours for a pop in the afternoon the other day and one of the two games ended early due to lack of players.
  18. I demanded nothing. I suggested. And yeah, I respect literally nothing about you or the way you and your little group pervert the game.
  19. It's hilarious to me how you're filling this board up with post after post about things you don't like, as if your opinion somehow has more weight than any other player and that the devs will jump for you when you tell them to. Two things. One is that I agree that the matchmaker has to make even numbers of teams. They have to fix that pronto. It's not the pop hitting and people not taking it. It's disproportionately filling up one team with a lot of players and the other with not enough. The second is that I was logged into an alt in the Gone Sithing guild - a guild that used to be big on Starfighter. And unusually for this guild, other people were actually logged on when I was - it's a pretty dead guild now. Anyway, I mentioned to the guy that was on that the queue had popped and he said he's done forever with GSF because he hates the new matchmaker. I didn't ask for details, but I wonder how many other people out there feel the same way. I'm not entirely satisfied with what it's doing but other than the uneven team issue, how is it worse than what we had before? I don't know, but if one guy generally feels that way, perhaps there are others who feel that strongly. So it might be important to try to find out if there's a sizeable population who feels that way and if so, what they want to be different.
  20. What server do you play on? I play on Satele Shan, so our experiences may be different. In my experience I'm seeing fewer blowouts, more competitive matches, and more early ends due to uneven distribution of the players. And because there is no benefit to switching sides when it is perceived that one faction has the talent edge over the other, the teams are more varied. The matchmaker needs refinement, but it's on the right track.
  21. It is only harmful to the game in the way it's being implemented now because teams are not filling up evenly. The first priority of the matchmaker should be to build an even 8 vs 8 game. After that, it should try to match the next 2-8 players in the best pairings that it can to fill out the teams evenly. What needs to be avoided are the "Warzone will end in 30 seconds" endings that have become more frequent as the matchmaker fills up one side and not the other. But with regards to 12 v 12 against 8 v 8 matches, there is nothing wrong with 12 v 12. The people who like to make dominant 4 man groups don't like it because it's harder for them to pervert the outcome by stacking one team. The more people there are to fill out teams and balance their group, the better it is for balance and competitive matches. One thing that might be a consideration to affect the "race to the satellites" component of a domination match. Eliminate the tensor ability. It only serves one purpose in the game and it's so useless otherwise that people self-destruct their ship after using it at the beginning of the match. Minus the tensor ability, you have more incentive for people to fly scouts at the beginning of a match to get to the satellite quickly and no need for a team to consider starting with the weakest scout just to use its one game-changing ability.
  22. Start by learning how to fly a Legion or Warcarrier bomber. This will lower your dependance on aim and give you a chance to be productive while still practicing aiming, evading enemies, and making the best use out of your missile breaks. Once you get a little better at aiming your lasers, you might be ready to try out gunships, which get killed quickly by elite scouts and strikers, but give you the advantage of usually getting the first shot off against an opponent.
  23. Anything that screws the way you guys play the game is just F-I-N-E by me.
  24. In matches that end early due to a lack of players, what determines the winner (if any) and loser of the match. In a match that people quit once it's gotten too one-sided, the answer is obvious, but what about in domination matches where there aren't enough people and no sats have been capped or TDM's where no one has died yet?
