I've hit 50 on a sniper and a mara so I tend to value high DPS as well as relatively complex rotations with high reward. I've also considering expanding my range outside of simply pure DPS classes. I love PvP and PvE, but melting face in PvP/saving the day by defending a node > completing an op for me. Is this the class for me?

Could you help us out here please? I know I would really appreciate it. As far as lethality goes, I played it pvp from 44-46 and found that it just didn't do that much for me. I didn't entirely enjoy the style of play even though I increased my overall damage at the end of WZ. I also felt like I had less utility in terms of annoying CCs that stop enemy caps.enable friendly caps. Similarly, I'm a fresh 50 ( less than a week) that is obviously undergeared in both pvp and pve, but I have found myself (in pve anyways) outperforming better-geared Lethality snipers. Again though, that could be a matter of skill and the tightness of my rotation. I'm open to trying all specs, but I just need something to nibble on first before I dive in so I can feel moderately comfortable.

Well **** guys, now you have me wondering. Can anyone link me to a decent engi/sab guide? Or at least give me somewhere to start in terms of spec/rotation/general style of play? Also, how's its application in pve situations? It seems like a whole lot of aoe that will break everyone's CCs. Also also, everyone reports damage increase but since it's mostly aoe (again, an assumption on my part), how much of that is ineffectual padding and how much of it truly helps? Just trying to get a solid handle on this idea before I respec. Thanks

All this complaining is so *********** ridiculous. The daily gives you NINETY NINE COMMS. WAH. That's the equivalent of 1 loss for WZ comms. And as far as the ranked WZ comms go, you need to do 14 dailies to get the freaking BELT. So stop whining. Please. Or keep doing it and stay off my pug in pvp. Thanks.

Fair enough. I had assumed since we were discussing burst volley, high up in the SS tree and a talent that only really helps our channeled/long-cast abilities, that it was fairly self-explanatory. My build is full SS, PvP oriented.

I saw those implants today, my first BM purchase. It will be my second one as well. I hate that I'm sitting with full recruit, except for WH main hand and BM offhand and I'm at 102% accuracy. Waste of stats.

Extra time on XS = 3 more seconds of area control. How is that not helpful? That being said, I'm wondering what I should be purchasing also. I just hit 50 as a MM GS and I'm looking at this BM gear and seeing no surge. What the hell is that about? Between that and the massive tech power bonus damage I've noticed, I'm considering switching to DF even though I hate the gameplay. EDIT: And what accuracy rating are we sitting at with full BM? Every freaking piece has 50+ Acc on it, it's ridiculous.

I don't understand the question. Are you asking if you can use any BM shell to exchange for any WH piece? Because that's a no. If you're asking whether or not a shell of the correct BM piece works for WH trade-ins, the answer is yes. If you're asking if crafted BM shells count for the WH trade-in, I don't know. I'm looking for the answer on this as well.

Well, like I said, we could get the aimed shot knockback, 1% crit, or 5% aoe damage.

I mean it lowers CB's cast from 1.5s to 0s, which is the length of a gcd aka you have time for an entire other instant cast ability. Also, it's great for run-n-gun when they're at 5-10%.

It might be you, or it just might be that you're missing the tiny bit of strat required to play these missions: 1) Space bar constantly 2) You can't regen shields while firing. Aka shoot conservatively and learn the amount of time it takes to down a normal trash ship. This way you can stop shooting .5-1sec earlier and give your shield time to regen. 3) Switch between blaster and shield mode constantly. The CD is only 1.5sec I believe and unless you know that there is an encounter happening again in ~3-4 seconds, switch your shield booster on 4) Shoots missiles like you can't give that **** away. 5) Don't stress about objectives - you will always complete them 6) Shoot out turrets on capital ships first. Their targets are slightly smaller and a bit more red (versus the slightly more orange of shield gens/radar things). 7) Don't get frustrated and freak out. Take out ships in groups and be patient while you get shot in the face. That's what barrel roll is for.

So what do you think then? I am still privy to keeping it 2/3 and getting my 10' AS KB or 1% crit or 5% AOE dmg, whichever way you want to apply that final talent point.

And you should be breaking cover every so often to refresh ballistic dampeners anyways, so the no cast time on CB is simply a free gcd. It rocks.

In terms of 2pts vs 3pts, what have you guys decided? Still think we max out on the 30s CD?

But aren't you operating under the assumption that they didn't change soft caps in 1.2?
