  1. I am. I was very surprised to see someone posting here again after like 8 years! Crazy. I was Lorthian on Tarq. I remember your name.
  2. Solo Ranked WZ's are coming. They've mentioned it several times if I recall that eventually you will be able to queue up for a ranked WZ solo and not have to be in an 8 man group. So be patient OP.
  3. I tried to read all that but most seemed irrelevant. The fact is it's too early to post something like this. It's only been one day and your posting a book about horrible it is. Give it maybe a few weeks at least. I found my first WZ as a healer yesterday (lvl 50 sorc heal) was amazing. I had 8 medals in my first one. In another WZ I got 10 medals. And what's great is that I was doing my job and didn't have to worry about gaining the medals. What I mean by that is I focused on the objectives such as defending nodes or scoring in HB and by just focusing on those, which included healing my teammates who were doing their jobs, I gained medals and we would win! Yes I hate the cast times now. And yes I'm more squishy then I was before. However, I was still getting almost 300k healing and healing the crap out of my teammates. I think the change for healing is good overall and I can't wait to play more after work. I won't even mention my tank who isn't level 50 yet but who achieved 11 medals in his first WZ yesterday. Crazy fun!!!
  4. I was too late to vote in this poll, however my feelings in regards to open world PvP are that the problems are more with server population than actual problems with world PvP itself. I believe, if possible, to reward people with similar rewards that you obtain from WZs that you would find people would PvP anywhere and everywhere. I hate to bring up SWG as a comparison, and trust me, I like this game very much compared to it, but, before they created the Rori warzone situation, they had true open world pvp in the sense that if there were opposing factions anywhere they would fight. And the fact that they all used the same space port and common area's made those fights more common. I understand that maybe would disrupt certain things and I think it's ok to have designated safe zones and opposite space ports for each faction. Still server population, and lack of incentive for open world pvp is why it's currently a major issue. Don't make ONE planet the preferred open world pvp zone. Perhaps make Illum have something object based PvP that other planets don't, but still reward others for just plain old open world, random pvp in the designated areas.
  5. Good to know, so if I turn off my queueing that may help my situation. I'll try that. And yes I have to always re-set my focus target after mount/dismount or travel. It is annoying.
  6. Is that a statement? The whole point of the focused target feature is so you don't have to target your intended focused target directly. That's what the hotkey that you assign to it is for. You hold the hotkey down and use your abilities, which they are directed toward the target you designated you want to be your focused target. YOu can then attack and have an enemy as your main target, while still healing your focus target, such as tank in most cases, without ever actually targeting them directly. My issue is that I have to constantly release my focused target hotkey and press it again for my heals to take effect. I should be able to hold the hotkey down and use my heals on them. i have also experienced delays with it so that if I push the button and start my heal immediately it doesn't register that I want that heal to go to my focused target. Anyway, I'm going to try using a keyboard key insteaad of a mouse key for the binding and see if that makes a diff.
  7. If yes, do you have problems where when you hold the focused hotkey down, it won't always heal your focused target. I have an issue where I'm constantly having to release the hotkey i set for focused target and push it again in order to heal my set focused target. I use a mouse button as my FT hotkey. I'm not sure if others experience this or if it's just a problem with my hardware. It's frustrating because I'm missing heals on my FT constantly and it's healing myself when I don't want that to happen.
  8. I play sorc heals and I'm super squishy so I'm not sure why you would say this unless possibly you are facing higher lvls than yourself if your not 50 or getting double/tripple/quad teamed on. The static barrier typically only protects me from one hit by an agent for sure since they have some high powered hits. On top of that I have a debuff of 20 seconds before I can put it on myself again. 1vs1 all I can do typically is heal myself to keep myself alive and try desperately to throw a few dots on the opponent to get them a little worried, then hope that a teammate comes by to assist. Even then I'll die sometimes. I'm really concerned about the people complaining about this as I don't feel superior at all. Yes I do well sometimes and can get 1st in a wz, but not nearly as much as a tank or dps could. I do know there are certain tactics to fighting sage/sorc healers and I also know that sometimes people will go to the forums and post after a frustrating day of trying to fight them to let out their frustrations. But before you do that please consider all what's going on around you. Do some 1vs1 duels against similiar lvl'd/geared healers and then maybe make a better judgement. Also, everyones different and some people are just better than others. When I'm in a pug and am against a premade, it's almost undeniably going to be a frustrating let down on my part and there is typically no hope in those siutations. I just have to learn to expect that in those situations and deal with it, or leave the wz and hope for a pug vs pug the next time.
  9. Haha, I knew no matter what disclaimer I put on there I would get the sarcasm responses. However they were prettty funny responses. Anyhow, I think same faction wz's defeats the purpose of having factions to begin with. The fact that you have one wz out of 3 that supports same faction fighting brings the imbalance to which wz is selected when you queue. So why make it that way? I think the fact that BW hinted around quite a few times that playing the Empire was more fun than Republic probably didn't help before the game came out.
  10. I'm so sorry I doubted all your hard evidence in your OP. Again take my advice stop arguing a winless battle. I love spewing hate so thanks.
  11. You should seriously just stop posting in this thread. You are just digging yourself more into a hole every post. And it's obvious with the feedback too your OP. So you just admit that your post was a mistake, and you will go back and rethink your strat. All I see in your posts are, "Wha Wha wha, people are using team work to beat me", "Wha wha wha, I can't do something so I want others to suffer for it". As I currently see every situation in this game, there is no need to nerf anyone. In fact, the harder it is for me to beat someone due to a specific move they may have, the better it can make me by figureing out how to beat them. You have too much of a pesimistic attitude. Try harder.
  12. No, your original suggestion of putting a cooldown is definately dumb. You think BW would put all that work into every healer needed situation just to put a cooldown on healers heals b/c Lickl can't beat them in warzones???? Oh wait, you're right, BW, I'm dumb, the OP is not.
  13. You're the only one complaining about this so I think that's where you are getting the flack from those other posts. Other people don't have probs like you do which makes them believe you aren't doing something right or don't have decent gear. I can't say much in regards to your profession cuz I've never played that side. But speaking from being a pure healing sorc I'm far from superior in wz's and 1vs1 can be killed from experienced pvp'ers. Just keep trying different strats. Don't keep doing the same thing expecting different results. And please don't post on forums to nerf a whole class just because you can't beat them.
  14. I'm pretty sure the reason some servers seem to have huttball chosen more often than not for their WZ match is due more to imbalance of factions than anything else. I think I recall seeing somewhere that BW basically gives close to an equal percentage chance to join one of the 3 WZs. The problem is that 2 of those WZ are rep vs imp only. THis means if there aren't enough of one side or the other on a server, then you are probably going to get Huttball chosen more often then not. As for a solution, I don't know of one as it wouldn't be smart to force someone who pays for a game to play a specific faction. Disclaimer: I have no idea if this has been stated numerous times as I didn't search the forums for similiar threads, naughty me. I also have nothing other than my own personal experience to back this theory up.
  15. Seriously??? I'm a sorc healer and I get reamed in wz's constantly. Once someone knows i'm healing they immediately go for me. Typically not just one person either. I'm not the best healer out there so I'm sure you come across ones that are tough to take down but that's with any proffession. Just because YOU can't beat them doeesnt mean they need to be nerfed. 1vs1 against me as a pure healer I have to pretty much only heal myself to keep my self alive and hope someone else comes to attack my attacker. My static barrier is the only thing I have to allow me to throw a dot or two on you while not dieing. Healers are squishy whether you want to admit it or not. The only reason you have a hard time with them is because you aren't interrupting their heals and basically using some strategy instead of thinking you can just hit specials blindly hoping to take someone down. On top of that healers will typically have at least one other person helping them in a group. I know I will have my friends whoa re tanks guard me while I'm healing them, which can make for a nice combination. On top of all that if you put a cooldown of 3 seconds or even 2 on our heals, we would become completely useless in FP's and most situations where a healer is necessary.
  16. I'm wondering why the first FP, Black Talon for me, seems superior in storyline and immersion compared to all the other fp's i've done. I have not done all fp's so I'm still waiting to see if they get better, but after BT, the rest are almost all just run through killing with hardly any conversations if any. I finished Mandalorian fp last night and it was good in regards to challenging at the end, but was extremely lacking in immersion. I hope that the future ones I do get better (in regards to storyline/immersion)and have more conversations and story involvement.
  17. I see quite a few PVP servers full and I'm on one of them waiting:( They need to add more period and I'm sure they will. I would think they would of figured this out already due to the beta stress tests but perhaps there is more to it than we know.
  18. I'm here from tarq, lorthian. Early access baby!!!
