Wow, you are complaining that you have to put points back in? really. If they didn't do this most people would have complained they had to go back to fleet to respec. Obviously you are new to mmos because changes to characters abilities are the norm in an mmo.

Truth is, most mmos with a healthy subscriber base could make good money at about 4.99 a month. People overestimate how much it costs to run. at 4.99 a month with 1.7 mil subscribers thats a 101 million dollars in fees. trust me, the cost of the game to run is much much much less than that. by a lot. I would guess running the game and content, maybe 30 million a year. at 14.99 they are bringing in almost 306 million dollars to run a 30 million dollar operation. That is why people make mmos out of anything these days. There was a report out about wow, in its first 6 months, it covered all the costs in marketing, creating and runnign wow for the next 6 years. So after the first 6 months, it was pure profit for 6 years.

Maybe they underestimated how whiny gamers could be.

Hopefully there are not that many stupid people out there that would sign up for a 3 months sub before checking out the game first to see if they like it.

OMG Bioware, how dare you have a free trial so people can see how the game is and see how it runs on their computer before buying it. That is way too considerate because it would suck to pay 60 bucks to find out it ran really bad. Horrible Bioware horrible.

If they broke that patch up in smaller portions and put them out every week, I bet 400 billion dollars, my life and the life off all my family members that half the people would complain about all the frequent patches and why they couldnt just save most of it for one big patch. did you look at the 1.2 notes? Did you notice how big they where? Did you at all come to realize they have been doing a lot of work on 1.2 with bug fixes, new content, adjusted content and fixes? Why the hell would you be concerned. They are obviously working their asses off. Please give it a rest, no developer could work faster then they are doing, they are trying to please you guys but it is starting to seem that this will be impossible since the group here complain about everything. I would not doubt if they decided to make it ftp, 90% of the people would complain, just to complain

I am wondering if any of you even bothered to pay attention to the fact they said the 1.2 patch is not final, hence why it is on the test server. So if things are too severe, things should be noted during the testing. Or are you guys just so negative that you completely ignore that fact and immediately run to the corner for a good old cry. Or you could spend the time to test first, put in your recommendations, then if they are not adjusted, then, and only then should you complain. Or does that seem way too reasonable for MMO players.

yes, and why should I when I have a console? And why would I move my computer over to my tv? I run the finance department for a national company and spend 40-50 hours a week sitting at a computer working with spreadsheets. I don't want to come home and spend too much time on a computer, whether sitting in a chair or sitting on my couch with a keyboard in my lap and my mouse on my coffee table, it is still not as comfortable as my couch with a gamepad in my hand, relaxing. Is that ok with you? Do I have your permission to be relaxed and play the way I want to? Nice try making a point. So by that I can tell you are a pc elitist.

Nope, this is the only game I play on pc, until D3 comes out. I play everything on consoles. Did it take 10 years to make? I don't recall seeing anything that said they started D3 after D2, I thought they started working on other projects. Fyi, you still know nothing.

That is not what I see, it has nothing to do with lack of faith in diablo, it has to do with the fact they know diablo 3 will be huge so they are trying to lock in subs of WoW. Diablo 3 will hurt Wow, the people that think it won't hurt some mmos are kidding themselves.

Ya like diablo 3 looks anything like diablo 2, what a stupid comment. They choose that style because it will run on more computers and will age better then being a texture heavy game. If you knew anything about business, which you obviously don't, designing a game so that it can be played on about 4 times as many pcs will get you more money then designing it for only the highest spec machines.
