  1. The fact of the matter is Infiltration Shadows are fun! Why play for performance solely. Using stealth and landing huge Shadow Strike damage is enjoyable. Although I must admit when swarmed its hard to get behind the target.. Sometimes I clean up with a Infiltration Shadow getting in the top three kills and medals then other times I really bomb out. I must admit I am still learning how to play one properly and I probably rely on Shadow Strike too much. But you can't top stealth attacks they are satisfying. Sure Kinetic will have tonnes more survivability and their damage maybe similar but they are boring as bat ****. Its called a Jedi Shadow for a reason not a Jedi Tank.
  2. Soon as I hit level 20+ my Jedi Shadow Infiltration got a lot better. I focus on Shadow Strikes, mixing it up with Low Slash, Stun.. And also Project and Double Strike. Dropping people fast! Fun class to play. I think they just suck at really low levels.
  3. I have just started a Jedi Shadow fresh because I liked the idea of playing a Stealth class in PVP. But atm I am sucking at PVP and hope some one can give me some tips how to play a Shadow Infiltration properly in PVP. I am only level 15 atm and averaging the middle in Medals and Kills some times lower. Being used to Ranged classes prior to this in PVP with my Sith Sorcerer and Sniper (which I do good in PVP with) I am getting the hang of chasing down targets that run from you and like using Shadow Strike maybe too much.. I have noticed Shadows I have fought tend to circle around your enemy. Is this effective? The other annoying aspect of using Shadow Strike a lot is it drains most of my Force and sometimes its annoying trying to get behind the target so when spamming Shadow Strike I do nothing if I'm not behind them. Do you use Shadow Strike more as a finisher then a constant ability? What rotation of skills should I be using for a low level and high level infiltration spec? I've noticed in the Infiltration tree I don't get good abilities until level 20 so do Jedi Shadows suck at lower levels and get buff in PVP when they get high? If a pro can give me some tips with skill rotation, how to use Shadow Strike properly, how to chase and fight enemies with movement and general advice in how to play a Jedi Shadow Infiltration to be really good in PVP this would be appreciated.
  4. Crew Skills are expensive to fully build and if you don't know what you are doing you can end up spending more then you make from them. The first important factor is Reverse Engineering. This is how you discover Blue and Purple items. These are the ones that sell. So try to Reverse Engineer greens that you think will be appealing Blues to sell on Market. Also buy Schematics from Market that will unlock items to make that will make credits on the Market. Finally I find sending Companions to get Lower Level materials can be quick which if you continually do you can collect enough materials to make lots of lower level Blues/Purples. I feel this is best as it takes ages for higher level material collection and you can make a lot more items faster with lower level items. Or simply gathering Materials to sell directly to the Market is another good way to make credits. Please send comments on the Best way to make Credits and what Crafting Skill you think is the best one to make them.
  5. To be honest I've played to level 43 and I am not impressed with the Smuggler story. It starts off great the idea of getting your ship stolen and seeing the Smuggler fuming about the situation determined to track down his ship was quite funny. The animosity between Scavic (however you spell the main bad guys name) is quite enjoyable and the Dialogue from the Smuggler has a quick wit and smart *** tone like Han Solo. After getting your ship back the hunt for the hidden treasure is okay, however unlike say the Imperial Agents story which flowed with story to me the Smuggler story seems disjointed and doesn't flow how it should. It still has cool chase scenes in and comical moments but over all the story doesn't have substance to me. Act 2 is shocking you are a Privateer acting like a solider. Once again story is disjointed and not really what a Smuggler would do. His direction should be more inward thinking on how his actions benefit him not so much of risking his life for the republic for little reward. Fortune and Glory should be his goal. Overall what makes this story Playable is enjoying the Smuggler smart *** comments with him being full of himself, selfish and I think a an Solo type is quite cool. There have been some quite funny comical scenes but I am hoping Act III picks up and has some more substance. Just my opinion I have read others who think the story is the bomb! I don't think its that great.
  6. I've played most Craft skills to high levels and find Gathering materials for High Levels very time consuming and the end game items don't generate big bucks. It takes too long to reverse engineer purples at end game as getting a Blue is a 20% chance then you having to reverse engineer blues for a 10% chance. Its like winning the Lottery. In my opinion Crew Skills could be created much better to do what they need to do make credits! I find gathering constant low level materials and making lower level blues/purples in large amounts ranging from level 19 to level 30 a better way to make money as making these blues are very quick compared to end game items. This worked for me great the first time as I made over a million credits over a period of a week but on the high population server with my Cyber-tech people don't seem to want Earpieces/Spaceship Upgrades and I have 50 Blue/Purples on Galactic Market which are selling really slowly. Its frustrating! My question is how the hell do you make money because Crew Skills aren't the best for making credits? There has to be a way to make money faster! Please some one give me some advice on how to make stacks of cash.
  7. Maximizing a Craft Skill can be time consuming and expensive. Especially at high levels where it takes so long to collect materials. My honest opinion of all Craft Skills in general is they can be a pit hole for pumping in credits you make for very little benefit. If you do decide to play a Craft Skill sometimes gathering constant low level quick materials to build lower level blues or purples in large amounts can be the way to go or simply put selling materials. I went Cybertech as I wanted Armoring and Mods for my character but on the Server I am getting frustrated as people don't seem to want Earpieces much despite making close to 100 blues/purples between level 19 - 30 and they are selling really slowly. Also raw mate rails are selling for much too cheaply. This is the risk of a Higher Population server I guess. If I was you I was just go Bioanalysis/Slicing/Biochem. You can still make Medpacks/Stims for yourself as well as selling raw materials in combination of Slicing gathering credits instantly which is a lot less stuff around and easier then messing around with creating items and spending time auctioning them. In general Crew Skills on Star Wars suck in my opinion! Pitholes for your own cash.
  8. To me Jedi Guardian is a true Jedi. The philosophy of the Jedi is to use one sabre in combat from all the films except Anakin for 20 seconds in Attack of the Clone Wars. Their other hand looks so much cooler doing a Jedi push. So I picked a Jedi Guardian DPS Vigilance spec based on I like the idea of having one sabre like a true Jedi from the films. Yes Jedi Sentinel will do more DPS burst but I would rather play something I like the idea of then playing solely for how much damage outburst you do. There is more to the game then this. The trade in for less DPS you wear Heavy Armor which when fully geared out with an Offhand Shield makes you more durable. I must admit at level 10 Jedi Guardian DPS did get off to a bit of shaky start but the Vigilance tree unlocks some great combat buffs and abilities that are designed solely for DPS outburst. It wasn't to level 20+ I started to really see the Guardian DPS crank. Full gear and getting the Vigilance stance with increased overall damage outburst, increased movement speed (handy for PVP) and Focus regeneration. Although at low levels I did get a bit frustrated with Jedi Guardians performance in Warzones at level 10ish. Once you get some decent skill tree perks with heavy armor gear around level 20 on several occasions I got in the top three with medals and frags. To me its knowing how to play your Guardian. I see idiots leap into Jedi Sentinels that are on full health and they are a higher level and then when they die against them they claim Jedi Guardian DPS sucks. Your burst DPS is going to be decent but against pure DPS classes maybe less. So I will really utilize my leap and toggle through enemies and pick off one that is slightly wounded or quite wounded leaping towards that one. In Warzones its really about knowing where to ambush and who to ambush. As for solo play my Padawan which is DPS and me drop groups of enemies super quick. And I barely and rarely die. I get to look forward to getting Jedi push and playing a character I like the concept of simply picking one for its DPS outburst levels. The game is meant to be enjoyed not some massive completion who hits harder. Play what you like the idea of not what does the most damage. Besides most of the classes are balanced quite well. Jedi Guardian Vigilance to level 55 with a big *********** smile on my face.
  9. Aw come on man they are not that *********** bad.
  10. I Agree with your assessment of Jedi Guardian Vigilance DPS spec not being pathetic like a lot of posts make out. I've played to level 15 so far I find the PVE damage viable. Yes Sentinel does quite a bit more but there's something more traditional having a Jedi with one sabre. To me a one Sabre Jedi is a real Knight. And besides tones of people go Sentinel. I don't do top in PVP but I get in the top third. Who cares about my rank long as I have fun? Maybe Sentinel would score better in PVP too but people of obsess about gear and maximizing damage. Isn't about just enjoying the game? I could have picked Sentinel and done bigger DPS but I am quite happy doing a bit less and enjoying my one sabre Traditional Jedi. I also have Heavy Armor so although I'm not Tank spec I can still absorb more and I like the idea of Traveling with your Padawan it just to me seems like a Jedi path. Maybe my down time is a little bit more going with a DPS Padawan companion but its how Jedi roll. So if anyone agrees with me One Sabre is cooler and marks a Traditional Jedi more then stop obsessing with DPS and play a Character you like the feel of. Jedi Vigilance Guardians do not suck. They are like a real Jedi Knight from George Lucas series. :>
  11. Do you think each class is Balanced in PVP? I guess it depends on your playing style and what you enjoy more. For example I am much better at ranged attacks but am okay melee. Please give a Summary on various advanced classes in a sentence or two on how you find them in PVP and which class you think is the best. Sith Sorcerer / Jedi Sage - For me theres only one Skill Tree. Madness/Balance. DOT's own. Pumping out constant Force Lightning with DOT's, instant crit ability every minute and good CC, death field, with Electrocute and Whirlwind from Range with static shield I would do the best with this class getting between 1st and 3rd sometimes 4th or possibly 5th but most of the time I would get 1st or 2nd in Kills and good medals. Sniper / Gunslinger - I do pretty good with this class. Usuallly get in the top 5. I find they are a bit squishy but a Marksmanship with Followthrough, Leg Shot and good knock backs I can defend against melee okay if its just one of them. However if I get a good Snipers nest point where people don't seem to notice me I pump out insane DPS dropping 5 or 6 enemies in a row. However my performance hitting level 30 and getting thrown in with the 54's I am coming 5th or below. Maybe I need more levels. Sith Assassin / Jedi Shadow - Played to level 20. Not my style at all. I went infiltration and found it annoying having to be behind them to land backstabs. I didn't like chasing people and wasn't very good with stealth spec in this class. I noticed some people dance around their target making them hard to get hit all the time. And know how to chase people. I however don't. Jedi Guardian - I went DPS spec. Did better then my Jedi Shadow. The Leap ability is really handy to pick off wounded enemies. Did okay with them but only played to level 20. I know Sentinels do more damage but I prefer the traditional one sabre style. Mercenary/Commando - I did pretty good with this class liking the range. They have more mobility then Sniper but still need to be stationary to launch rockets if going DPS tree. Better armor and healing. But I find the Sniper has better DPS. Still they are pretty decent in PVP. I wont list every advanced class. So list a few advanced classes you have played and give impressions on their PVP ability for you. Which is your favorite and so fourth. Crazy-eight.
  12. People claim Lethality is effective with DOT's in Warzones. The good thing about tick damage is you quite often get the killing blow. However I didn't really like the style of Lethality. I really rate Marksmanship as I good DPS burst, especially later on when you get Followtrough. You can easily unlock constant Followthrough shots by 2 snipes or an ambush attack. Also ambush gets a boost in casting time with Marksmanship. With the other specs Ambush is too slow to cast with the boost it pumps out fast damage. With the right rotation you can take down Marks fast. Engineering seems more for PVE to be honest. Or Area of Effect as it increases grenades cool down and final abiltily is an area attack. Never really been it so can't judge. The probes look okay but I much prefer singular DPS burst and I really rate Marksmanship. The end game Marksmanship skill tree point seems a bit weak to me. Cool down on Series of Shots which is no biggy, slight damage bonus and energy regen. That's why you have Adrenaline Probe for. So I decided to do a Hybrid spec getting Followthrough and the one point in the skill tree that unlocks cooldown for Followthrough. I am level 40 and started working on Lethality but Corrosive Dart even with its bonuses isn't anything special. So I am going to respect to Marksmanship/Engineering. I use: <Snipe> <Followthrough> <Laze Target> <Snipe> <Snipe> <Normal attack> <Followthrough> <Ambush> <Followthrough> <Series of Shots> <Takedown> < For when an enemy gets too close to me. <Debilitate> <Ambush> (gets knocked back because of marksmanship <legshot> <Followthrough> <Cover Pulse> when close again <Snipe> <Snipe> <Followthrough> <Ambush> <Series of Shots> <Takedown> Usually is effective. I find in PVP Snipers a little squishy when you get swarmed but with a good Snipers nest you pump out vicious DPS. When you are hidden behind a box and seem unnoticed you can take down 5 or 6 enemies in a row easy. Although not the best class for PVP they are pretty good.
  13. In answer to your question for an Imperial Agent I personally would recommend Cybertech. Although Biochem is handy for Med packs and Stims, Cybertech is good at keeping your item armor and mods up to date. It costs 7 Planetary Accommodation Points to upgrade an armor slot and can be quite expensive using Galactic Market to keep Mods/Armoring fully up to date. Unlike Armortech which makes Greens/Blues long term you will eventually get all Orange Equipment and it is simply a matter of keeping them up to date. It is important to keep armoring/mods at the level you are at as gear can be important. Its also good for making credits I made 3 million credits by making a massive bunch of lower level blues/purples earpieces, blue armors and ship parts. You can also make Grenades which are handy. People who say Biochem is the only choice I really don't agree. Yes it is good for Warzones using good Adrenals, Medpacks and Stims. But I find it better to have Purple/Blue Mods/Armoring on all my Oranges. Also it takes over an hour at max level to do missions so making Adrenals, Stims and Meds a little on the slow side at max levels which is when they become good. All you can make are consumables and Implants. Yes Biochem is good but its not the only choice Cybertech has its advantages having your Orange items updated constantly, who cares if you do better in a Warzone because of Biochem items? Its not that big a deal. I would rather have my gear constantly updated. I recommend Cybertech.
  14. What class do you believe to be the best in PVP? Firstly it depends on your personal playing style. For example I much prefer ranged damage over melee. To me chasing an enemy in close quarters annoying if they run back into their team mates and the fact you can only do damage if your right next to them. I tried a Jedi Shadow Infiltration for awhile and found doing Backstabs annoying at times to get behind the enemy. They were squishy and I found other classes do better damage but I have seen people that really know how to play Jedi Shadows/Sith Assassins by circling the target getting out of range of being hit back and landing constant blows To me the Madness Sith Sorcerer is the best PVP class. I always get in the top 1 - 4 with kills and medals. The fact you place several damage draining spells on the target with constant ticking damage you are more likely to get the killing blow. They have good CC control with Electrocute and Whirlwind. Instant crit abilitily. Easy instant casts of dot spells that when an enemy is fully covered with every dot spell and constant Force Lightning they do excellent DPS. Static Shield can absorb big damage. They also have Room Lightning if a big bunch of enemies are together. Force Potency, Death Field, Affliction, Force Lightning, Instant Crushing Darkness, Force Lightning, Electrocute when CC is needed, Force Slow, Knock back ability Force Lightning.. Just make sure all DOT spells are placed and are refreshed when needed pump out Force Lightning constantly. To me I can play a Sith Madness Sorcerer really well. I do best in kills and medals then any other class I've played. Please post which class owns in PVP for you the most and explain why this is and why you think this class if used properly is the best for PVP. Explain how this class is utilized in PVP best. Lets debate to what the ultimate PVP class is and why. Look forward to your feedback.
  15. Is it worth getting and focusing on maximum level Crew Skills to produce items and make credits? Well I guess it depends on the Craft Skill but I believe in general its not worth it. Lets use Cybertech for example. I got this skill to full level its expensive and time consuming. The first problem with making items are it takes ages to get materials, sure at higher levels you get lots of Companions to help out but when it takes close to an hour to complete one mission its still slow. Reverse engineering high level items can be painful to get blues and especially purple. There's also the fact PVP, Flashpoint and Operations generate better gear. So is it worth it? Unless you get schematics that create items that sell for big credits which are rare no its not I feel. Your better off for making credits focusing on lower level items and mass producing them. For starters gathering times are quick and you can keep sending your Companions out building up a big supply of mats. This means you can build a huge stock pile of blues and purples. With Cybertech I made 3 million credits rather quickly by doing this. I made tones of Spaceship Parts, tones of Blue and Purple Earpieces and build up raw materials to sell also. When missions take 8 - 12 minutes with 4 or 5 companions and you keep sending them out over and over this is easy to do. In comparison to taking an hour for one mission building items at high levels are too slow. Like I said PVP items or Flashpoints usually are better items anyway then end game crew skills. So in my opinion Craft Skills in general are better at mass producing lower level blues/purples to make credits and do Warzones/Flashpoints if you want better gear. So do people agree with me? Maybe I don't have the knowledge how to really rake in the big credits and good higher level items. I know getting Schematics from Flashpoints and Operations can unlock good items to make to use or sell but I didn't bother perusing this. Can you make big credits with Maximum Crew Skills? Or is it better making like over 100 Spaceship Parts, Earpieces and making money this way. How do you generate making huge amounts of credits from maximum crew skills. Advice? To me it seems better making huge amounts of lower level blues/purples. Am I right? Crazy-eight. Looking forward to your feedback.
  16. AGENT STORY The Agent story to me is the best story. If you dig the ide of being an Imperial Spy using Espionage and Intelligence from HQ to tighten the Empires grip on control, economics and power. As well as being a form of high security against opposing threats against the Empire through blending into situations. By creating cover identities you will infiltrate the enemy posing as an ally when you secretly work to unravel their ties and power base. It is through use of Intel you gain information as this can be collected from classified files or the act of spying on your targets employing Spy tactics. Using false identities and phony accents you can blend into situations pretending to be peoples allies where you secretly work to bring them down. It is through these tactics you employ to take down a Terrorist Cell by destroying their weapons stockage, factions and funding. Protecting the Empire against enemies common and domestic. If not using a cover I you will in other situations use your position as an Imperial Agent which holds a high rank to complete objectives and extract information After taking down the Terrorist Cells you go into Deep Cover which explores the psychological tolls on being so deep undercover. As well as exposing not just The Republics but more The Empires dirty tactics of mind control you fight to keep your sanity. Playing this story to level 40 as a Sniper I loved it. I give it 9.5 out of 10.
  17. To me the only skill tree that really canes especially in PVP is the Madness skill tree. Unless you want to be a healer I tried the Lightning skill tree and found the push back on Lightning Strike too dire. The Madness tree will utilize dot abilities as well as constant Force Lightning. This in it self makes the target constantly tic with damage so in situations of PVP you will often get the killing blow, where Lightning strike will often miss the kill shot. I like the graphics of the Force Lightning as its similar to the Emperor. Their CC is decent with Electrocute and Whirlwind. As well as Force Slow and knock back ability. Although only Light Armor the static barrier comes in handy and from a ranged striking distance Madness Sorcerers can unlessh carnage. People who complain about Sorcerer in PVP don't utilize their CC, defences, dot and Force Lightning abilities and get a decent ranged position where you can pick off enemies. From level 15 to 30 I got between 1st and 3rd highest kills every time and often very high medals. Although level 35 now in with 54s getting ability/item/skill tree disadvantage I am not doing so well I still do decent in PVP. I have read people really knock Sith Sorcerer but they do lots of DPS. Maybe a Sniper has a higher DPS but the constant ticing damage is an advantage where a Snipe can miss the kill shot wasting time. At times the Madness Sorcerer has been unstoppable!
  18. I know you need healers in Warzones to help win but I never understood enjoying healing team mates over killing them. If you think Sith Sorcerers are weak in PVP think again. They fairly get good CC and push back abilities, with electrocute, overload and whirlwind to immobile more then one enemy. Force Lightning after pushing them back with say overload will make them walk slower back towards you. With combination of Static Barrier they get good defence from damage as you can cast this twice before it refreshes. You complained about Healing Sorcerers with low DPS it makes sense to be around team mates that do big damage while you heal but for the life of me I don't know why you wouldn't go Madness spec over healing. To me healing is boring. You say Sith Sorceress suck in PVP, oh how wrong you are! Skill Tree Madness will increase your damage over time abilities and at level 20 you get constant Force Lightning with instant cool down. Level 21 Death Field. Level 40 Creeping Down and a skill point to give a chance of instant Crushing Darkness or Lightning Strike after Force Lightning. This is what you do. 1) Recklessness every minute. 2) Death Field. 3) Affliction on enemy. 4) CC with Electrocute and Whirlwind. 5) Force Lightning all the way once or twice. 6) Instant Crushing Darkness 7) Force Slow. 8) Overload to knock them back. 9) Force Lightning once or twice. 10) Lightning Strike instant. I take down enemies really fast and usually land killing blow because of the small constant damage. They do heaps of burst damage and are really fun. If you are complaining that Sith Healers suck try Madness spec and once you hit level 40 then focus on healing tree to 55. My Madness Sorcerer usually always gets in the top two or three or quite often first in Enemy kills and usually gets really good medals and MVP votes. Their Lightning also looks cool with the graphics of them cooler then Jedi Sage. So is you think Healing tree sucks try Madness spec you won't be sorry.
  19. BOUNTY HUNTER STORY I was overall disappointed with the Bounty Hunter story. To me it didn't have much depth and was one dimensional. Upon entering the Great Hunt all you focus on is taking down Marks. Although freezing them is quite fun its very repeating as every planet you do the same thing. Also I found your main companion who is a healer who is the best one to use in combat nothing like a bad *** Bounty Hunter being a goody goody two-shoes. You get minus affection when focusing on being a Dark Side Bounty Hunter. Although parts of the story were fun like getting stuck in the Hut's trap fighting in this vile pit as well as later on while you reserving your spot having a Massacre with the contenants where the winner gets a spot in the Hunt this repeating of just killing Marks to go forward in story really grows thin. I only played to Legacy mode I heard it gets better in the second Act but I have to give it: 5 out of 10. Imperial Agent. This story to me was the best one. If you like the arts of deception and espionage like a Tom Clancey spy novel then this a recommended story. Straight away you go under cover posing as a pirate to manipulate the Empires own interests on this planet. Using a false accent you manipulate events while secretly reporting to your boss in Intelligence. Getting off the planet you learn of a Terrorist threat using Classified Intelligence to reveal these terrorists you follow leads to discover the Terrorist threat. Revealing a person called the Eagle your assignment is to take down a terroist cell. Each planet you use Intelligence from your base to work out the most devising plan to take down the threat while gaining more Intelligence on them. Eventually revealing the truth a surprise twist in Legacy mode is quite fun to watch. In act 2 after taking down the cell you are sent in deep cover where a conspiracy of programmed mind control is used on you. Being brain washed to serve SIS you fight for your sanity. I played most of the second act and found it very entertaining. 9 out of 10 Sith Sorcerer/Assassin You delve into the power plays and politics of the Sith. Although I have read people not enjoying this story that much to me it is my second favorite story. You seek power while being manipulated by your Master who has her own self interests. Shooting Lightning at NPCs during story it reminds me of the rise of power of an Apprentice to Darth as the Emperor in the movies. Using deception of an Assassin and seeking relics like a Sorcerer the combination of tomb raiding suites both advanced classes. Seeking guidance from an Apprasion you learn of your Masters plot and secretly work on a plan to defend her during your Legacy confrontation. Along the way you make your own Cults and when becoming a Lord build your own Army on the quest for power and take on other Sith Darths wanting your demise. This story covers SIth politics perfectly and power plays of the inner working on making your own Legacy. I played to level 40 and although don't remember the second act that well because it was awhile ago I remember enjoying this story a lot. I give it 8 out of 10 Sith Warrior: Didn't play. Jedi Consular: Only playing to level 28ish at first I found the starting area quite enjoyable as you are sent to preserve secret Jedi Knowledge away from others who can access it. Delving into the History and Philosophies was quite fun for me while working out a grave threat to the Jedi Order that the Force guides you to stop. After the starting area this is where the story to me goes a bit bad. Although it ties into a Sith Sage who stands for healing perfectly as you discover a Plague you seem to do the same on each planet hunt down sick Masters and shield them. Although people say its the worst I hear the 2nd act gets better but the 1st act although in parts is okay in general you just are used as a pawn to shield and weaken yourself with no empathy of how this is affecting you from the counsel. 5 out of 10 for me. Smuggler: This story to me starts off funny as you get your ship stolen. Furious with this act of Larceny the Smuggler has the perfect Han Solo sarcasm and selfishness of looking after themselves. Chasing down this thief is quite fun as after the starting area the hunt continues. The thief is this story becomes your Legacy Nemesis. I found the dialogue of what the Smuggler says to be perfect and funny for this class. Once you get your ship back however parts of the story become a little disjointed as you run errands in hopes of the Glory of Lost Treasure and at times it doesn't flow. However the chase of the thief becomes quite intense at times as you hunt him down as he wants this treasure before you. Playing it to Legacy Mode and beyond afterwards I found the stories less comical and entertaining as not much thought went in to parts of it. However what made the story worthwhile is it did have good parts to it and there's something fun being a Selfish, Greedy Smuggling Pirate. 6.5 out of 10 Jedi Knight: Being Guardians of the Jedi Order this combative, leaping Warriors are like Soldiers of the Jedi Order. After learning of a threat to the academy the beginning area is good but gets better in the 1st Act. I like the part where at a low level you get your Padawan. She is rash like one should be and a bit cocky. Playing a mentor role you fight for the prosperity of the Jedi Counsel. It delves into Jedi Politics and the selflessness unlike the Sith and I like how it goes into mentoring your padawan. Being ages since I have played I forget in-depth story details but really liking it much over the Jedi Consular and get to Legacy mode. You learn about the inner workings of The Force and learn the role of a Jedi Guardian. I remember it being very cool in parts. 8 out of 10. Trooper: At first there was something to me of not thinking the Trooper was traditional like a Bounty Hunter I found the white outfits not as good as the rustic more sinister Bounty Hunter costumes. the only thing better is their Assault Cannon. I decided to give it ago with the pretense the story wont be the best. To my surprise I actually enjoyed being a ranked solider in Special Forces. It had more depth then the Bounty Hunter as you would through story chase down Missiles and not just serve as a thug Assassin. I liked being involved in the Senate and The Republic's Army gaining ranks in the process. Unlike the Agent who relies more on Espionage the Trooper attacks things more by force not guile. Being betrayed by Havoc Squad you hunt down your former team. I didn't find the story boring at all. Quite fun. 7 out of 10.
  20. Depends on your style dude. What suites you better taking down marks from a covered position from a distance or being up close and personal? I prefer Gunslingers they are more fun to me. Although Scoundrels get good CC sometimes its annoying with a running target trying to get behind with stealth to land a shotgun backstab and this is their main damaging attack. However having stealth is great fun and good walking past swarms undetected deciding when you want to reveal yourself getting in a tactical position. So if you like the idea of Stealth and meaty backstabs and running circles around your foe with CC and up close and personal combat attacks then pick Scoundrel, also you can pick a healing spec if you like the idea of being a healer for your team mates over DPS. If you like the idea of rolling behind barrels and pumping out huge DPS from a distance then pick Gunslinger. Upto you.
  21. It's all about finding the best perch where you are unnoticed. Having good range you can roll behind some barrels or a wall while your team is engaging the enemy. If you get a good Sniper Nest I've taken down 10 people in a row as the DPS on the Sniper/Gunslinger I believe to be the highest in the game. The key is not charging in but hanging on the back lines let your tanks and melee classes lead the way. Any class that gets swarmed by a mob is going to die if you don't have proper team backup its just being out numbered. However if this swarm is close together a good flash bang will stun them all which then you can either engage or run to team mates for backup. The Sniper/Gunslinger gets good CC's. A direct stun, A room flash bang and area push ability. A good combination is flashbang. Auto-crit ability. Ambush. Direct stun. Snipe. Then pushback and keep pumping in Snipes and normal shots directly after with other combat abilities. You can also use shield probe and entrench for defense. I suggest not getting surrounded. Find that good Sniper Nest and you will be an unstoppable DPS machine. Ben
  22. Playing an Imperial Spy to me is very appealing. I found without a doubt the Agent's story line the best in the game. Through the act of Espionage and gathering Intelligence you assure The Empire functions against external threats, economical growth and for the Empire to prosper and remain safe against foreign threats. Through the use of cunning infiltration you act as an invisible Intelligence Officer that from the shadows acts in the Empires best interests. Through the story you use cover identities putting on false accents to infiltrate and take down Terrorists Cells as well as fighting against the Republic to disempower its grip. Like any Intelligence organization you are given classified information from analysts as you are on the front lines acting as a Government Spy dabbling in the true arts of Espionage This story thoroughly delves into the psychology of an Intelligence Agency and the role of a Spy. It is the combination of Classified Intelligence and cunning wit that allows you to protect The Empire and help it become more structured and powerful. If you like James Bond, Tom Clancey or Covert stories then this is the one for you. Hands down best story I've played 9.5 out of 10.
  23. I have read threads that dismiss this story as a good one. Personally for me its one of my favorites. Unearthing Dark Relics in the quest for Power to me is exactly what a Sith would do. Being more attuned to Force Energy the scholar path of the Sorcerer or Assassin seems fitting. Their philosophy is gain of power through the Dark Side. To seek more Power. This is what this story unraveles. The gritty politics power plays also plays out well with the conniving and lies that rolls off a Sith's tongues. Sith's unlike Jedi's are selfish and only think inwardly which power plays and mind games are presented through this story. Lies, Deceit come natural. They only care about themselves. Being a two class story of Sith Sorcerer and Sith Assassin I feel it is blended well as although you seek Relics and Paths to Dark Rituals which fits a Sorcerer more you engage on acts of espionage and Assassination which ties to the Sith Assassin, as well as tomb raiding which stealth would apply. I like how you use tactics and intellect to build your Legacy to the Dark Side in this story. It is also fun using lightning to torture or kill people you come across. Rising from an Apprentice to building Sith followers the path to power is portrayed brilliantly I feel. 9 out of 10.
  24. Gunslingers are definitely a dark horse in PVP. Although at first they are a bit squishy later levels give them skills for when they get ambushed in close quarters. However they are most effective in a tactical position pumping out huge DPS. If not detected from their hidden assault point they can take out a good 5 or more people in a row. Getting a good nest point is crucial. I usually come in the top three maybe not so much with medals all the time but with enemy kills. They have to be the biggest DPS class in the game. Insane damage especially with crits. I have lots of people ***** about Gunslingers in PVP because of close combat fights but from even level 10 they have rocked for me in PVP. I love em.
  25. Imperial Agent - I found this story to be the most entertaining. If you like the whole concept of espionage and guile then you will most likely enjoy this one. It plays out like a Dark James Bond. The story is well thought out for the concept Imperial Spy and the whole gathering intelligence and going undercover is kind of cool. 9 out of 10 Bounty Hunter - Played to level 30 and must say was disappointed. I think the story was one dimensional all it entails is finding the mark you have to kill. People say Trooper is worse but I disagree at least with Trooper you have different objectives like disarming bombs etc. The only cool part for me was freezing people in Carbonate. However it did have some good moments. 5 out of 10 Sith Sorcerer - I really dug the Sith Sorcerer story. I think it explores the Sith Politics on the path to power well. Seeking relics and knowledge which suites a Sorcerer. The Lightning is also cool in game or even through story zapping people in movies. It explores the Dark Side of the Force well. 8 out of 10 Sith Warrior - haven't played Jedi Knight - This mirrors a path of a Jedi selfless on a Quest for peace and all in all was really entertaining to me. I also like having a Padawan as the story opens a mentor role between your companion and you. The story is not too cliché and has depth exploring the psychology of what a Jedi Knight stands for and his role in the galaxy. 8 out of 10 Trooper - As mentioned people say this story is the worst but I liked it. Not the best one but not the worst. Yes its a typical soilder story but it has variety in story objectives., You also get to carry a big minigun like Arnie. The only problem I had with Trooper is its not as traditional as the concept of the Bounty Hunter in the Star Wars galaxy, not in terms of Story but the Bounty Hunter cosmetics and ship seemed cooler. 7 out of 10. Jedi Consular - Takes on a Healer role during the first Act rather then a Diplomatic one. Although parts of the story were quite interesting parts of the story telling were pretty bad. Repeating this draining of your own energy to save a bunch of sick Masters which drawed on a bit and was repeative. I haven't played the 2nd or 3rd Act but the 1st Act wasn't the best. 4 out of 10 Smuggler - Mirrors Han Solo which is great. The character sounds and has similar dialogue to Han. A cocky, self-cemtered, greedy pirate. Definitely has the most humor then any other storyline was hysterical how he got his ship stolen at the start "Hey he stole my ship!". Parts of the story were a little disjointed but it had some great chase scenes in it and was quite entertaining. Mimicks what the Star Wars Smuggler is all about fortune and glory. 7 out of 10.
