  1. The party line. Unfortunately that didn't stop the news that their stock is tanking due to massive loss of subs. Welcome to the world of publicly traded video games where analysts and public perception mean more than the actual players.
  2. So here's the dilemma that faced execs, merge servers which will hurt public perception of the game and possibly share value but have happier players, or don't merge them to keep share holders happy and stock prices up, but anger your players. Well, idiot execs, you got both. Subs are way down, stock is hurting and what is the official reply of EA? Bleed more money out of existing players ... Those of you still playing, just remember that keeping share holders happy and profits up are EA's concern, not you.
  3. Just unsubbed, about 2 months too late. I gave them until the end of April to address the low pop issue. Hasn't happened, I'm gone... still have 50 days playable time too. Oh well, I'd rather pay not to play at this point. Byeeeeeee
  4. Then what in heavens are they waiting for? I've been on a dead server almost since I joined (I didn't play at launch) and have watched the server die to the point it's a bad joke. I'm just holding onto my sub for a few more weeks to pass free time, I'm long beyond frustrated waiting for them to let us transfer and have given up. How many others have already left?
  5. Ah, that explains it. Like OP I've not been so lucky - only 1 schematic in the past 2 days, but only 1 400 slicer )
  6. As far as procs go, pretty scarce. I've run 40+ missions in the past two days and by far I'm getting a regular credit case. Augment recipes? Exactly 1 so far (though I got 2 I believe Thurs.). Very rarely a blue box which yields a decent amount of credits and a few crafting missions. I wouldn't quite label it a money sink as I'm only down a few thousand credits net. But I'm not sure how we are supposed to get usable augment recipes this way? Not only is it a rare proc but you obviously are looking for specific stats. If I need something for a Consular at this rate it could be days (as in 4? 5? 8?) before I get one - and then the REing over and over to get a worthwhile augment. Not sure if it's working as intended but right now, very little upside for spending a lot of time and credits running missions.
  7. Sooooo, by your way of thinking any change is good and correct. As a player, any issue we raise is just whining? Okay, well congratulations, you've just figured it all out all by yourself. Bioware, please close down the forums ok? Everything you do is right and we all just have to adapt cause he says so.
  8. See: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=411459
  9. Login to my server any time of the day and tell me it's "healthy". It's dead. This is just marketing speak, giving comments that will convince anyone not playing the game all is just peachy. Pathetic.
  10. 2 people in the Republic Fleet, 2pm ET on a weekday. The server is DEAD. More dead than a week ago, and more more dead then a week before that. See the trend? If they can't/won't merge servers very, very soon it will literally be a ghost town. Re-roll on Fat Man? No thanks, this is Bioware's problem not mine. Either get people onto my server, allow me to transfer, merge us or I unsub. Simple. And if I come off as raging, QQing or w/e I've been very patient up to now, I have the right to be annoyed.
  11. Invite your friends for a free 7-day trial!!!! Fine Print: if you invite 50 there will be 51 of you on your server!
  12. Pretty much my thoughts. Call me when they merge servers and/or allow transfers, wasting time and money until then.
  13. I think you're looking at it from the wrong perspective. If Bioware is concerned more about the impression merging servers gives people *not* playing the game at the cost of punishing players who are playing ... good luck! Yes, the dreaded "server merge" is usually the first public sign a game is dying but SWTOR is a bit of a special case. They launched with way more servers than necessary hoping to avoid frustrating players at launch. Good for them. But clearly they could have a contingency plan in place in case, gasp, the number of players actually decreases? Lastly, I don't care what the solution is: Try to fill up servers (however that will work), server transfers, merging, whatever. I logged in at 4pm ET today and there were 3 people in the Republic Fleet. WZ queues are long and usually end early due to lack of players. There is no market to sell or buy things (many categories are empty). There is no community. Barely anyone looking for groups. It's DEAD. So whatever the solution, I don't really care, just do SOMETHING!
  14. How is it whining? People playing on a ridiculously low pop server are simply not enjoying the game as is. Difficult to find groups, long WZ ques, etc. etc. Re-rolling is not a fair suggestion for most either as many have pointed out. No, Bioware should be smart enough to recognize the problem and address it. Or they are going to keep losing subs, which will lead to even lower pop servers, and so on.
