  1. This is more what I am talking about. I find it extremely hard to survive a fight with 2 elites and a regular or something similar. Not saying it isn't doable it just seems I usually have to throw up saber ward or use a med pack (heavens forbid!) I am of this play style: kill, kill, kill, tab, force leap, kill kill kill. I end up waiting around for half a minute if I am using anyone other than Quinn
  2. i click almost everything but I have found it very helpful to bind my most common abilities to the 1-5... especially retaliate so it can be clicked immediately. This allows me to build some sort of rotation or something basic to fall back on just pushing shortcuts with left hand and worry about the more complicated things with the mouse.
  3. Have you tried playing with UI turned off? It makes the game more immersed and a lot for cinematic in feel. CTRL + Z will hide the UI, give it a try:)
  4. I think we should nerf quinn and buff mar a bit. Anyone else? Maybe decrease his health or heals but up mar damage or health a tiny bit. I am finding it hard to use any other companion, other than 2v-R8 which is more lolz than anything.
  5. I didn't pay attention to surge before and haven't looked at it afterwards. I don't think it changed gameplay too much. I don't min/max but I did have a good number of surge pieces on my gear. I didn't notice a change in how fast I killed things.
  6. In real life people with private jets and that have a similar political status as our characters land, get off the plane on the runway and immediately step into their mounts err...Bentlys that were waiting for them 30 feet away.
  7. there is no light side, there is no dark side. There is only the force :-)
  8. /me Takes no companions, sends them all on 30minute diplomacy missions halfway through fight. Aliens
  9. This probably isn't the answer you are looking for but are you making a video exclusively for yourself? 1920x1080 would be the ideal resolution for 99% of the world so with regards to sharing the video it would actually make more sense albeit less than perfectly scaled for your viewing.
  10. This^^^ I actually haven't gotten betrayed by quinn yet but I have built his affection well into the thousands. I have been going light side 95% of the time. Just knowing that I will have to be on a ship with someone that could slit my throat in my sleep not to mention his impending stunt makes me cringe. As soon as I read of the his betrayal I started using Jaesa Willsaam (spelling?), I agree that I would miss having a healer, I haven't tried the robot as a healer yet though. It would make sense that you just get a side quest that allows you to pick up a new companion that or you are simply assigned a new companion by whoever you are reporting to in the game at this no clue who that is, however I could expect the dialoge to go like this: You: blah blah blah it was a tarp! Hologram: OMG lol that sucks, I mean how unfortunate but it seems that his usefulness had expired. You: Yes, Master Hologram, in any case I will be needing a new Captain. Hologram: Naturally, apprentice (lord/whatever), I have a someone in mind. Qalavi Muinn, a young and promising pilot. He's not the strategist you had at your disposal before but his loyalty is not to be questioned and his reflexes at the helm are near sith. I will arrange a meeting. [quest update] *Travel to Dromund Kas to meet with Qulavi Muinn* *Later* You: Officer. Muinn (in formal uniform a man of english decent age:22+/-): Lord (pause as he salutes), Lord Hologram informed me of your arrival. You: Did he brief you? Muinn: No my lord, he was short and I dare not waste his time. You: Very well Qalavi, I'll cut to the chase. You have been reassigned. Muinn: Lord? You: I need a pilot and rumor has it you are the one for the job. Muinn: My duties are not finished here, lord. You: They will be tended to. Now you are needed for more pressing matters. Are you ready to serve your Empire where you are needed most or not? Muinn: Of course my Lord. You: Docking bay, D-17, Fury Class. Muinn: [slight smile] Fury class? You: Can you handle it? Muinn: Gladly my Lord. You: See you on deck, and... you can drop the "Lord." Problem solved. I will be waiting for my royalty check. Let me know if you need a voice actor for the new companion, my is quite smooth.
  11. I'd say 7/10,, lost points for being unoriginal; however, depending on what you looked like +1 In game: Trail
  12. lvl 35 now. I have only seen one person to attack and that was on narshadda, they were lvl 50 I was maybe 28, did it anyways they killed me. Maybe I am just not looking in the right places but I constantly get the message that I am entering contested area, but I have only ever seen one person to attack.
  13. when you consider the lightside/darkside gain in everyday responses... [Lie] No I don't have time to go to the grocery... +50 darkside points
  14. I have armor that is supposed to go together and it clips... hammer station top and bottom... the top is red and the white pants clip through it. Not a deal breaker but wow it is obvious. I feel like this would take quite a bit of work to fix though compared to other problems. I would rather have a new quest than fixed clipping.
  15. best course of action is to say in as broken English as possible for them to stop. Ex. No take Ex2. no steal ad Ex3(if you want to get fancy). Plz no steal add plz
  16. I still haven't figured out what money is supposed to be used for in SW
  17. So you are suggesting that your characters aren't bound to a single server? I like the idea, perhaps it would make more sense exclusively in the realm of pvp though. I mean to say that when you queue for a fight you are queuing with players across multiple servers rather than just your own.
  18. Assuming they finish balancing... I think one respec. Endofstory
  19. So I am only in my 30s lvl-ing but I thought this would be a cool idea for PvP and raid type stuff, just to make things harder. I am not sure how end game instances work but I am assuming that if you die, you can run right back in with no penalty just like the flashpoints that I have done. Here is my idea and I think this would only be good for endgame and especially so on a specific planet. I think that there should be a shared planet with both factions and areas where there are instances or flashpoints rather. If you die in said flashpoint you cant be revived, you cant re-enter said flashpoint for 24 hours or some sort of time. Another thing to make these different would be that if you entered the flashpoint you wouldn't exactly be entering yours, if there was a group in there before you then you would just enter theirs and have the opportunity to kill that group and take over the flashpoint. obviously it would have to be large flashpoint to make this work and the mobs would have to re-spawn at a relatively high rate. Anyways just my lowbie idea, I figured I would share and ask for thoughts.
  20. Story is really cool community is really whiny
  21. I only about 1% of lvl 50s should have 'the best stuff' at this point in the game. Don't make everything so easy to come by
  22. by your logic purchasing an account should grant you a lvl 50 character with the best gear in the game. It certainly doesn't take skill to acquire the things I mentioned. Just patience.
  23. Yes, seems way too easy to get the best stuff. I mean games been around for a few months, and people have the best things already. I don't like that the first month of play costs 60 dollars. Also, I am lvl 32 now and I still haven't seen a republic, maybe I need to be on the other side.
