  1. I still miss flamethrower on my merc. I still miss cover on my scoundrel. I miss slicing droids on my mara. I miss phase walk on my shadow. I don't see how anyone could argue that we need fewer abilities. The more toys my characters have in their toybox, the better.
  2. I just did this one on a new character. It doesn't show up until you get the class quest that sends you into Tulak hord's tomb.

  4. I've often wondered if he replies more than most people think. I've always wondered if olagatonjedi was Musco. Olag's posting would always drop when Musco was active on the forums and I don't think he ever posted when Musco was at a cantina event. No way to prove it, but it always struck me as odd.
  5. Doubtful. The 2% is of the of crit stat points so if you have 2000 points of crit, the two piece will make it 2040. It's pretty much useless, same for the ones that add 2% alacrity.
  6. It occurred to me that if the goal it to remove KP farming, there's a far easier way to do it than adjusting the xp/conquest point ratio or redoing every conquest. Drop 50k points required for conquest and go back down to 15k. It was raising the points required that made people look for the quickest way to get conquest over with and done.
  7. Indirectly, yes. Some people feel they have to make their conquest totals because they sell the purple mats for credits. Now you could go rampage on a planet and kill 50, then 100, then 150 random mobs for about 16k points, or you could join a kp farm and get 22k points in ten minutes. Relatively speaking, the kp farm is more fun, and takes a lot less time so you can spend time doing what you want in the game instead of grinding out conquest points.
  8. I'm really not seeing any positives to the conquest changes. Going to an objective from the conquest window? Well, ops and fp's require a group so gf works for those, world bosses you send someone there first to make sure it's up and then summon, and planetary heroics you just use the heroic transport. This seems like it's as needed as the taxis added to fleet. The conquest changes based on level means I'll never try to get conquest on a lowbie again. I remember how the mantra of more objectives each week was stressed a few months ago and we got the Eternal Championship added each week. We also lost galactic rampage so overall it became harder to get conquest, not easier. I have to admit I joined KP farm groups last week and it was fantastic. I got conquest done and out of the way the first couple of days and spent the rest of the week enjoying the game. I got my baby jedi up to level 30, and started a new sith. No stress feeling I had to run certain fp's or do heroics on certain planets to get rampage totals. Unless the new objectives are something like how the pirate event first was with each Balmorra/Taris heroic counting for conquest, all these changes are negative.
  9. I miss the old abilities too. I used to love using flamethrower on my merc while doing dailies, I really miss the abilities that gave extra damage when used against weak incapacitated foes especially on my operative. I used to use my best Dalek voice using it. Goes into stealth-In-fil-TRATE Uses trank dart- Sed-e-DRATE Uses extra damage backstab- EX-TER-MIN-ATE!!! From a numbers standpoint they didn't do much, buy they added so much flavor and fun.
  10. I think they do reset sort of. It seems to be that on weekly reset they drop down one notch. For instance since they start on 20k, you just roll the dice once, it goes up to 21k for the next one. If you stop there and wait a week, it should go back down to 20k. If you roll again and it goes to 23k, then next week it should be back down to 21k. I have a couple of toons that I do this with and each Tues I just pay the 20k to roll the dice for them. As a side note, I've wondered if amplifiers might be why I sometimes have lag problems, especially when logging into fleet or answering a summons. The game's tracking additional information on every person's amplifiers and it's causing delays on loading into the game.
  11. And their changes will break something, and it won't be fixed until mid January.

For a game like WoW where each expansion has four raids and large new areas, the level scaling isn't too bad because you have a variety of places where you can use the new gear, but to have the new stuff only good in two small daily areas, one operation, and one Flashpoint? Makes getting good gear seem like a waste of time.
  13. I'm not sure if what I did would help you, but I managed to finish conquest on seven characters this week. For three of them I did the Balmora heroics and the Black Hole weekly and then finished them with crafting. I refuse to spend 200 jawa junk for one grade 11 mat so I've had piles of jawa junk filling up my inventory. I used them to get a big stack of desh and silica, spent about 100k on the grade one white crafting mat from the crew skills vendor, then set all eight comps crafting the level one desh assembly component. Then I read a book for about five minutes, then came back and qued the comps again. It's about 1k conquest points every five minutes. You can also reverse engineer the components and get about half your mats back. Not a very exciting way to do conquest but it works. Oh, I did have the full stronghold bonus so for others it may take longer.
  14. I was wondering about the "luck always changes" one that adds to crit. Anyone know if it works for both damage and healing abilities? Having more crit all the time seems a lot better than the other tacticals.
  15. I don't think they nerfed the actual dailies. What they nerfed is the credits that you get for vendoring stuff, gear drops especially.

From the swtor combat team on the theory crafter's discord from about a month ago: SWTOR Combat TeamLast Saturday at 4:41 AM The bonus is 20% when only one target is being healed, 12.5% when 4 are being healed, and 2.5% when 8 targets are being healed. It's -2.5% healing done per target. One for All is the same, but in reverse, starting with 2.5% more healing at 1 target and ending with 20% more healing when 8 targets have your Revivification.
  17. I don't see the statement that crafting will be changed to all that encouraging. They'll probably change assemblies from 10/10/8 to 8/8/6 and jawa junk cost of new mats will go from 200 and 100, and the forums will be filled with how Bioware listened and responded to our concerns.
  18. I find it a small annoyance, along with no longer getting rep tokens I'm maxed out on to vendor. It wasn't a large amount but it makes most daily areas slightly less profitable. It's not enough to rage or quit over, but it is another irritation that makes this update even less appealing.
  19. I would say this was a hard week to tell how conquest has changed. So many people were leveling and running the story getting lots of Onderan rampage totals and running hammer/reaper that it inflated a lot pf conquest totals. A moderately large guild I'm in that was organizing easy fp runs for gearing hit 7 million points, a small guild I'm in that's more social made around 530k barely hitting goal.

Just to make sure you know, a set bonus that has +2% alacrity adds two percent of your alacrity total, not two percent alacrity, so if you have 1000 points of alacrity, a set bonus will put you at 1020. Also, set bonus to a stat do not stack from different sets so if you have three +2 alacrity sets, it will only give you two percent alacrity, not six.
  21. I believe it was on the first version of the PTS on the vendor with the others, and then vanished with the second. People who already had it reported it disappearing. I'm guessing they realized it was the only one that sorc/sage healers would take.
  22. SM ops are going to be treated like flash points. They can be repeated more than once a week, but boss progress won't be saved. It's going to make conquest even more of a grind, especially since they're upping the amounts for making personal conquest and for guild totals. As I see it, it's just another reason to drop the game when 6.0 hits and come back in six months to a year after they fix the mess they're going to make of the game.
  23. Yep, old set bonus stops working at level 75 according to a yellow post about a week ago.
