  1. Hello, I am an on-and-off subscriber. I purchased a "GUIL:D BANK ACCESS (ACCOUNT)" Cartel Item so I could access the Guild Bank in the months that I am not subscribed. I waited till my subscription ran out and used the item. However, the Guild Bank is still inaccessible. And since my sub ran out, I cannot submit a ticket ingame. @Jackie, please help T_T. Thanks. EDIT: so logging out and in did not work. Restarting PC or waiting hours did not work. Now that an entire day passed and we made it to a new Conquest Week the Guild bank is available. Do not know if it was a whole day or the Conquest Week reset, but I though I would post in case someone else had the same issue. EDIT 2: The actual solution was someone in Customer support fixed the issue for me. I got an email (after the first edit) where they stated they fixed it. So that's how to solve this for anyone else having this issue.
  2. Destroyer Armor set Pathfinder Armor set Vindicator or Vindican saber (the one that is never sold)
  3. With the previous changes like trade taxes in place, and these new changes coming up like the increase in transportation costs, all designed to remove credits from the economy, it may be time to consider increasing the non sub credit limit. While increasing the non sub credit limit will for a short period of time increase the flow of credits into the system, because the recent credit sinks are in place it will eventually decrease the total amount of credits in the system as purchases are made and travel happens. If the credit limit for non subs stays as is, then those players that are sitting on billions of credits in escrow cannot participate in all the *gradual* current credit sinks. What would then happen will be that in the future, when those uber rich players sub again and have no credit limit, there will be a massive *sudden* inflow of credits into the economy. Increasing the non sub credit limit now will help make the credit sink process more gradual and less abrupt.
  4. Yes, the taxes have had a great effect. Thank you for monitoring. We welcome the GTN price cap increase and the other changes. PLEASE keep on monitoring the economy as these and previous changes are meant to correcting the anomalous economy and are NOT designed for a sustained economy. If everything goes to plan, in the near future the economy will be much more manageable and the Dev Team will need to slowly taper off these initiatives and replace them with other ones meant to sustain the economy (some of these might stay).
  5. +1 been asking for this for a while. gotta keep asking until someone hears.
  6. Most filters work, some do not. Text box, credit amount, and main categories work great. Filters such as Item rarity (blue, artifact), "useable by me", etc. only work on certain occassions, and on others they do not. examples: "saber" Returns all items that include the word "saber" anywhere in the name. Items such as" SABER Forge" and "Arbiter's lightSABER" "arb saber" Returns all items with the words "arb" and "saber" anywhere in the name. Items like "arbiter's lightsaber" "Czerka" Returns all items with the words "Czerka". you'll get ranged weapons, crafting materials, etc. "Czerla" + [ranged weapons] filter Returns all items with "Czerka" in the name that are RANGED WEAPONS "Czerka" + [ranged weapons] filter + max credits 100,000,000 Returns all items with "czerka" in the name that are RANGED WEAPONS with a max sale value of 100,000,000 credits or less.
  7. I appreciate @KeithKanneg's add on response and Talura's addition of the Twitter post. For everyone, just to consider in your equation. Bioware was not prepared to go public with this information. They had no prepared written statement. This broke cause of IGN. Also they are probably legally barred from discussing details of the deal because the deal is not finalized. I am slow to emotion and slower to jump to conclusions. The new studio's history raises several eyebrows but I'll wait for Keith's response. To the devs, Keith, Jackie, and everyone. Not everyone hated 7.0+. I thought it was fine. Not everyone hated Manaan or Ruhnuk, I enjoyed them. I've seen Bioware make a lot of mistakes, but also I've seen a lot of good things and passion from the devs. Everyone will hate the middle of the road approach, but I will wait till the deal is finalized and the are allowed [legally] to give details. I DO expect that when that time comes, that and EXTENSIVE FAQ is provided. Thanks.
  8. correct, the assumption is all things being equal. Of course there are other factors that go beyond the company name where you worked, like duties performed, name of your role, etc.
  9. Understandably there are a lot of feelings with the IGN article about the move and Keith's post here. After letting the news sit for a while I thought I'd leave the feelings aside and state what we know and some reasonable non-copium and non-fatalistic assumptions. This is all based in the IGN article, assuming the details therein are true, and we have no reason to believe they are not. What we know: 1- SWTOR is not getting shut down right now. Any previous fears of the game shutting down soon are now much less likely. No company buys a game to shut it down immediately. 2- Broadside....maintains... 2 other MMOs that are still going after many years. Apparently those games have not had major content updates. 3- From their personal career point of view, going from working for BioWare and EA to Broadsword, which is described as a "boutique" studio is a major downgrade. 4- 7.3 apparently is still coming, along with 7.4, whatever that means. What we can reasonably assume: 1- Most current devs will immediately leave, be fired, or quietly search for a new job. As mentioned, career wise going from having EA and BioWare in your resume to Broadsword is a major downgrade. Many will jump ship as soon as possible, whether it's now or in a year. 2- SWTOR will likely get no story updates, just events under the new devs. It is likely that 7.4 (done under BioWare) will be the final major update for the game. This is based on Broadsword's current handling of the games that are under their umbrella. 3- SWTOR will likely not die/shutdown for a moderate to long time. This is based on the two games that Broadsword handles, they are still going almost a decade later after they took over. 4- Any other major changes to the game are unlikely to happen under BioWare. 64 bit and AWS are probably the last major updates to the game we'll see. There will be little incentive for BioWare to develop requested features like Nim R-4 or non critical features like a crafting revamp. These changes or non-story features may happen under Broadsword. What we can hope for: 1-That Broadsword's management improves player interaction and feedback loops. 2-That Broadsword fixes many of the outstanding bugs. 3- Changes to the monetization model to better fit their philosophy active with Broadswords current games. What to be scared of: 1- Broadsword failing to properly understand/develop the game in a completely foreign game engine that SWTOR uses. 2- Axing of lots of old story content to "Streamline" the experience. 3- Massive playerbase population drop, making certain SWTOR servers essentially dead.
  10. If you want absolute pain, try doing the Chapters SOLO in Master mode. good luck! you're gonna need it!
  11. the title. tried on multiple toons multiple days. So when I port to Iokath my toon goes from displaying: {Charactert title} {Name} [Legacy title} to: {name] The interesting thing is the Character title and Legacy title are still selected in the character screen (so it is not set to "blank").
  12. What I'd be interested in, broadly speaking, is what importance community managers put on spending time listening the the broader and generally silent playerbase along with the loud players and generally less in number players that do more posts/emails/etc. Many times I've felt that changes to the game have happened because of a lot of "outrage" but many players I've known including myself did not really align with said outrage. When others like me try to express those different viewpoints they get buried under the more notorious viewpoints. I know that in any job of any industry 20% of the people take 80% of your time. If not careful, it could be more. Just curious how that works community manager wise. Thanks,
  13. @JoeStramaglia I know it's late on the thread, but it would be AMAZING if we could select GTN items we do not want to see. For example, if we are browsing decorations, I do not want to got through 3 pages of House Alde Banners to get to the things I may be interested in. So if there was a button by the item that said something like "ignore" and then you could have a tab with a list of ignored items you can "unignore". This would boost the use of the GTN and more transactions would be likely to happen. Thanks again.
  14. thanks for your opinion and viewpoint. I think some of these ideas deserve consideration.
  15. Hello, Sometimes (ok, many times) people say unpleasant things in Gen Chat. Then no one says anything. So the last thing you see in your chat is the unpleasant/offensive chat. It would be GREAT if there was a chat purge button that would clear up the chat for you. Currently the only way I know to purge chat is to log out and log back in. (if there is another way to purge chat let me know) And for all you people trying to be clever, no, the minimize button is not a good solution, because I want to see what the next person types in general chat. Also legacy block is not a good solution because that person may not always say dumb things. Thanks.
  16. the main reason is money. If it takes people longer to get max rep, they'll play for a longer period of time, and hopefully [in EA's eyes] will be subbed longer. yes it's a dumb mechanic, but that's the reason.
  17. when you say this, are you referring to median posted value or median completed transaction value? If the latter, how far back in history will you look? Median Posted Value may generate outliers when people post items for exorbitant prices way beyond their worth. Just because something is posted on the GTN for a billion credits does not mean it actually sells for a billion credits. ANYWAY, thanks devs for looking at this. These GTN changes are probably a headache to get right, but if you do, it will really encourage a healthy economy ingame.
  18. There was a good point brought up on a Discord. SentSterling does the weekly GreatGiveaway where he gives away hundreds of dollars worth of Cartel Items for free every week for over a year. Currently the system would tax that into non existence. Other approved Bioware content creators (and some generous players) also give away a lot of things. I am in favor of trades being taxed so to not avoid the GTN, but gifts are a large part of the current community and needs to be worked our correctly. Perhaps only tax when the receiving legacy sends something back to the gifting legacy would be a way to catch GTN trade avoidance.
  19. Yes please be careful with "Buy Orders" as it could lead to bots and predatory market players. Separately, Please consider implementing a reasonable limit to how many GTN postings you can cancel in a given time. I remember a predatory seller that would have hundreds of materials postings, and whenever any other player would post the materials at a slightly lower price, this person would take the time and change all their dozes or hundreds of postings to undercut the new seller, and would do so multiple times a day. By doing this so frequently, aggressively, and at such scale I saw this aggressive seller push many new sellers out of the market. After these new sellers were pushed out, this aggressive person would drastically hike up prices again. Eventually this player started sending taunting and aggressive mails to players. While it is important to be able remove a posting from the GTN be able to repost at a lower price for everyone, (many valid reasons to cancel a posting like posting a wrong price, changing your mind, reposting at different price, etc) doing it on such a large scale multiple times a day was unhealthy for others who I saw would try to participate in the GTN and gave up. (I think the abuser was eventually banned because they disappeared, but the unlimited cancellation and reposting of so many items so frequently is still there and can be abused by others as well)
  20. @SteveTheCynic thank you for your responses
  21. That's fair Nee-Elder. I think it would be cool to be able to reset the story IF easily possible, even if that meant a complete reset, deleting all story flags. I say that cause I do know that, at least, a partial reset is near impossible because of the complexity. I also do believe that others may enjoy that reset as well, for whatever reason they may have. Even though all those things, I do believe that using to many dev resources on this is not a good idea, because those dev resources could be used elsewhere. I've tried to make that visible from the beginning. Cheers
  22. a little bit off topic or parallel: I've been wanting to make the migration from SWTORSK to Google Authenticator or a similar service. To do so I need to go to the website and under my account first cancel the current key used by SWTORSK and then make a new one for Google Authenticator. My question is, will so doing cancel or move the date you get the 100 CC from using a security key? (so if I normally get the 100 CC on the beginning of the month, and then do the change mid month, did I "lose" 50 CC since the new date where I get CC is not mid month?)
  23. well, I was going off what you mentioned in your post, pardon if perhaps we did not guess correctly what the other person was thinking. Although that is not what I was going for, you do make valid parallel points regarding the examples I gave. There are, of course, with your new parameters, closer examples as well, given the huge history of the game, it's features, etc. However, you incorrectly assume my intention and continued to accuse me of things. Whether that assumption is based on previous similar posts from others or from some different source, I do not know, but you should not declare what I think or what my desired are if I have not previously said so, especially when you are so wrong about me. No I am not bored of swtor, I quite enjoy it, even more than before to be honest. No I do not regret whatever choices you think bother people, etc. I have 20+ alts, so that is also not an issue. I believe that your post was possibly well intentioned, but that maybe interaction with others wanting the same thing as me (for apparently different reasons) encouraged you to be like this to me. If so, I do believe we can come to an understanding. If not, then looks like I made another mistake.
