  1. Level 65, average item rating 216, Gunslinger, Lana, healer, influence 30, Playing SF Alderaan, did solo mode pre patch, post patch tried Heroic 2+ mode solo 6 times and could not complete die mostly against final boss. My Alliance Specialist are all rank 11+. (Have several others at various levels and classes, this is the one I have played the most recently.) Normal planet Heroics 2+ playing solo for me it is medium to difficult. Medium don’t die at all or once, difficult die at least twice or more. 3 or more mob elites, Lana on heal cannot keep up with damage taken or stops healing. I am a casual solo player. Even though I can get through most of the game content, I cannot get through the Star Fortress’ Heroic 2+ solo. The other daily/weekly Heroics 2+ takes a lot longer to get done than pre-patch. This just makes the grind longer and more tedious. Also, increasing the more damage and deaths of my characters is costing more credits to repair per mission. End result, the rewards gained are not worth it for normal planet Heroics. Alliance building Heroics are just a longer grind that you have to do to build Alliance Ranks. Suggestions: 1. That all Star Fortress Missions, Operations and Flashpoints, etc. should have a solo choice that is difficult but doable with just you and companion, maybe with decreased rewards with a warning stating so. 2. Increase companion heals at least by 50% from where they are now. 3. Another option, have a companion buff button on the Quickbar that lasts say an hour and click it again, turns off. 4. Since companions have to equip a weapon, at least allow that weapon to add buffs to the companion’s stats. That allows some customization. 5. Possibly give back 50% of the nerf to any and all companions that was done. Final suggestion, and a big one: Offer a server that is geared toward the solo player. Probably won’t happen. Thanks for this thread.
  2. Suggest a way to switch companions' stats to buff them up to be more powerful for those who want that. Plus, a way to switch them back to current game normal stats after the buff has been applied. Or the buff lasts like an hour and have to restart if desired. A "Buff/Nerf" button if you will.
  3. Hi can't find one, just curious if there is one that takes the common data crystals. Thanks.
  4. First, thank you all for your comments. Have perked me up and raised my spirits today. I have been asked through whisper to join a guild, group or such with voice, vent, voip or such required. Being polite and answering I don't group or use voice stuff, then on a very few to rare times was called anti-social or loner. Last comment that sparked this thread was that I was a lonely person with no friends, begone troll and then put me on ignore. Thanks again for all your input. Bob....................
  5. I have a family and friends in real life that I socialize with all the time. I am not anti-social. I meet and greet other people when I am out and about. I just plain like playing ALL online games solo. If there is something wrong with that please let me know. I don't see how calling me anti-social or a troll in game relates to playing solo. Then why play a mmorpg? Because I like the game and play it like a single player video game. Yes, I know I am missing out on a lot of stuff, but if I can't do it by myself, I don't care to do it. Bob.........
  6. I have been in a few TDMs where a player has purposely self-destructed to throw the game. (or try to). Respawn, crash, respawn, crash repeat. The player board for allies show 0 across the board except for 10+ deaths for these players. 1. Has anyone had this happen to their team? 2. Nothing can be done about it as it is a game rule. 3. What's to stop someone from doing this? Nothing. 4. So, if I want to be an *** about this or because I think it's funny to do this, I can. Plus, the obvious: To avoid kill point for opposing pilot. Suggestions: Self-destruct should not count for any team. First X number of self-destructs should not count. After X number of self-destructs, player has much longer respawn time (maybe 30-60 secs). After X number of self-destructs, player may be flagged to be voted off. (like for not participating). And any others you may think of.......................... Bob.........................
  7. I have several mastered ships, I have maxed level my characters..............so, now what??? Why continue to paly GSF if I can't spend the points I get or get any more XP for matches? No more practical reason to play GSF. (Except for earning credits and bragging rights.) There needs to be a way to spend the SR & FR points on other things. Transfer X amount per month to another character. Rate of exchange for Cartel Market coins. Rate of exchange for in game credits to spend on your character(s). Something................. Just brain storming here, any thoughts? Bob.................
  8. Thanks all for their comments. At least I have entertained a few. Even in the military I would bring to one's attention about cursing and name calling. I grew up in a house where I never heard foul language or name calling from any of my relatives or in school all the way through high school. Even in my community, none of this happened that I heard. I grew up in the 1950's & 1960's in a quiet community. Wasn't until I joined the service that I heard foul language. One time I brought it up to the Drill Sergeant I thought I would never stop doing pushups the whole time being cursed at and called all kinds of names. Still stand by my statement it is not necessary to cuss and call names over a game or for any reason at all. Even today if I hear foul language or name calling I challenge it. So, by some comments if you or a loved one (or me) are called a "F" ing idiot or stupid or retard no one should say anything to the person and just think "oh, well it's just the way people talk these days." and ignore it., whether online or in real life. Now pick this apart as I know all you will. I don't think there is one person that even understands where I am coming from or is tired of all the foul language al around us and the name calling that goes on. This is all I will say on this matter. Thanks again for all the input. Bob....................
  9. So no one cares about name calling or cursing from one player to another or others? My question why is it necessary to do this at all? I see absolutely no point in it what so ever. Sorry if I sounded "preachy". This has been my problem all my life is having to put up with name calling and cursing I'm just plain feed up with it. It is beyond my comprehension how anyone may get emotional about a game to resort to such tactics as labeling players who do certain things in this game as idiots, or morons, etc.. I am a retired disabled vet who has been in actual combat. That is something to get upset about, not some dumb game. Bob........................
  10. Calling other players "idiots" and worse using foul language. I mentioned to a player no need for name calling and then getting cursed out for doing so is not good gamesmanship. This has happen across the 3 servers I play GSF on and both factions or similar incidents. People it is only a game, not important enough to get upset about. My final solution was to turn off all possible ways that another player may chat, whisper, trade, yell, invite, etc. Would any of you put up with being called names and insults because you weren't good at a game? or didn't follow someone's direction who you do not have to answer to? In real life? This no different than a cyber bully who keeps putting people down on GSF. Yes I know I will get guff about this probably called a whimp or whinner or worse. Keep in mind there are children on this game who are seeing how we interact with each other. If I get at least one person to stop or help stop this kind of behavior I will be grateful. Bob..........................
  11. Each side have ground targets with different point values based on difficulty of destruction or higher priority targets. Ground targets could have defense turrets as well. Ground targets maybe have point values of 1, 5, and 10 being max? Destroying enemy ship = 1 point. Have a time limit (8 min.?) and/or set victory point threshold (500?). No points for time controlling an area, strictly destruction points only. Must have enough ground target victory points that = the set victory point threshold. All this flying low level zipping through, around and/or over "tall buildings in a single bound." Or even tall forest/jungle. Other such difficult terrain. Suggested ground targets: 1. Gun turrets that fire back at incoming enemy. 2. Generators. 3. Communication Center. 4. Command and Control Center. 5. Star fighter land base field. 6. Bridges. 7. Factories. 8. Ground troop and/or pilot facilities (barracks, maintenance, staging areas, etc.) 9. Intel HQ (or any HQ). 10. and anything else we can think of. IDK what it would take to make this happen programing wise or if it can be done without great expense. That's for others with the knowledge about this. I would just like some kind of ground engagement. Please discuss...................................bob
  12. A bomber gets credit for all the kills/assists it's drones do, why shouldn't the drone kills/assists count at least partially so? Right now drone kills count for nothing in game from what I have seen. When I have been in a game where I haven't killed any players but taken out drones it shows 0 kills for me and only the assists I did against actual players. I don't think you even get any ship req points for them either. I could be mistaken. Maybe a medal award system for drone kills as for sat defense turrets? With the appropriate nerffed points awarded. If there is actual evidence or official BW or SWTOR site that list what targets give what points I would like to know. Yes the points probably need to be nerffed vs ship kills. I mentioned 5 drone kills = 1 ship kill OR at least 1 ship req point per drone..........some kind of reward (again if any given please tell us where this may be verified). I am not QQing about bombers or the pilots and such. Just want some credit of some kind for killing drones that's all. If I am totally wrong about not getting any credit I apologize, I am not to good about figuring this out. Thanks for your comments...................bob
  13. This is a good idea. I would add no more than a 10 second warning countdown after spawning before exhaustion starts. No warning if returning to cap ship after spawn though. The exhaustion zone area must extend to the max range of the cap ship turrets and no further. This would do away with any gaps that either side could take advantage of. Just some thoughts................bob
  14. Would being able for both sides to respawn only at any of the now 6 spawn points be a reasonable option? Start of Deathmatch you may only spawn at the 3 for your side. After being killed all are open. Or maybe after a set time in game (like a minute) they all become available. Just a thought..............bob
  15. Found one on Kass and of course the Fleet are there any others and where? Thanks..................bob
  16. EMP does not totally destroy all drones in the burst area. The Minesweeper ones would. EMP pulse does not destroy drones only disables them for a short time. EMP pulse on Minesweeper would destroy them in X radius.
  17. I am not frustrated about any aspect of GSF, I just like diversity in battle area. If a game ever becomes frustrating to me I will stop playing it. It is only a game after all. Battle over land base targets would be nice to. Close in troop support. And other such stuff. Flying in a moving asteroid field would be fun and challenging also as someone else mentioned. Thanks for your comment......bob
  18. Maybe built on the lines of a Bomber but with drone destroying capabilities? Or have the current Bombers have a counter drone ability as one of the secondary weapons choice? Drones that target enemy drones? EMP missiles that actually destroy enemy drones in X radius? These missiles would be limited only to the Mine Sweeper ship or refitted Bomber class. Or a different type of ship? Any other ideas along these lines? Please discuss.
  19. The first 4 I have given already. 1. Maybe because that sector of space is important to control for whatever reason. 2. The 2 factions are on space patrol duty there and meet each other. 3. It is a pilot test area. 4. Both factions have agreed to a death match there as there isn't any advantages to be had, level playing field. 5. Quote from my parents, “Because I said so!” (lol) 6. To control the empty space above a planet both want. 7. Space Arena for the amusements of spectators. 8. To encounter the enemy before reaching an objective area. 9. One faction is on practice maneuvers, when the other one hits them. 10. On a seek and destroy mission. 11. Reports of enemy activity in the sector. 12. Another Wargame sector. 13. To prevent important info from getting through. 14. A space anomaly was detected in the area, both faction went to investigate. 15. Fighting over this area of empty space because, <insert reason>. Just some thoughts............bob
  20. Doesn't make sense to me not to have a fight in empty space as there is so much of it. Maybe because that sector of space is important to control for what ever reason. The 2 factions are on space patrol duty there and meet each other. Another reason, it is a pilot test area. Both factions have agreed to a death match there as there isn't any advantages to be had, level playing field. There are an infinite number of reasons to fight there that make sense.
