  1. I have a two year old and get to play late very rarely. In fact it's been a good 5 weeks since I've been able to. Don't be an ignorant troll jack*** just because you think you're funny We want an ETA as much as the next person; guess I'll be playing LOTRO till it's back online
  2. hey just checking in to clear up the backstory to this one we started off by capping middle and lost both sides i went snow and ninja capped as our gunslinger drew 2 defenders away from the fighting (go for the kill lol!), elsewhere most of my team were running around like headless chickens basically just dieing a lot (but i'd imagine they'd call it 'distracting the opposition'). almost 60 seconds after we capped snow we lost middle ... so i thought screw it, i'll see what's happening on grass. got there (in stealth) to see my team pretty much walking single file towards the opposition in droves ... somehow, don't ask me how considering we scored zero kills, we managed to take grass (maybe a couple of their defenders peeled or we were attacking grass - i couldn't tell?) we eventually lost grass after a heavy fight and we had a couple of ppl quit at that point because it was pretty obvious we were getting owned. and most frustratingly they took it back when we were 80-150 up (d'oh!) i just happened to be taking the grass speeder back to join the fight when we lost it, and for whatever reason nobody on their team saw me drop from the speeder and enter stealth, and they all proceeded to run to the middle where the lemmings had decided to try to cap middle (and die horribly trying). the gunslinger who helped take snow came through the tunnel with a speed boost on, and acted (? or maybe was genuinely confused?) like he wasn't sure if he wanted to engage the two sorc defenders or not. After what felt like forever (was probably only 3 seconds or so), both sorcs decided to engage by jumping down and chasing him down ... and i ninja-capped for the win i have to say there was ZERO communication from the PUG all match other than me asking for help on grass... but it was by far one of the best games i've had since launch. just goes to show that a couple of ppl with their wits about them really can make a difference under the most extreme situations which I think is a good thing (but shows the ridiculously poor level PUGs play at most of the time) and in saying that i will admit that i have never done a rwz, and i always pug WZs 100% of my login time, so i'm not elitist lol -Honey and as a side note : yeah my connection SUCKS in pvp, has done since 2.0 (funny that!)

  4. it's very easy to pull huge numbers with DF without actively trying to kill anyone -- and with the new energy regen passive it's very hard to get down to zero energy playing DF which means you're constantly using active abilities. add into the mix that most healers are too pre-occupied with casting heals than purges all you really need to do to get 560k+ is literally rotate between targets and do shrap bomb>vitalshot>tab and if anyone gets close enough throw in a whip/hem blast/wounding shot just try it once and you'll see how ridiculously easy DF is scrapper has a massive skill and learning curve and is not for the faint hearted. good scrappers are hard to come by but can 1v1 nearly any class if we get the drop on them (except the very good shadows/assassins). i've always played scrapper as my main, but that's because i'm one of those people who will stubbornly try to play 'poor classes' as well as I can.... I will continue to play as a scrapper even at 55, but I have field respec just in case i have a bad round and want to take out my frustrations via DF ;-) haha
  5. yeah seriously, 3 operatives/scoundrels or 3 shadows/assassins would demolish anything and stealth is always useful ... also, you can all share your class story instances and save some time levelling

Just a few observations, feel free to disagree with any/all; Agent/Smuggler: scoundrels/agents need their energy regen lowering a little bit - on my 52 scoundrel i find it very hard to get low on resources post 2.0, which is a good thing for dmg dealing; but i thought we're meant to be bursty and i feel like the energy regen makes me more sustained dmg and a bit OP in that respect. I also think that the roll @51 needs to be raised slightly in cost (to stop ppl spamming it) and/or have a cooldown of say 10 seconds (?), so that it's in line with other gap closers (or escapes/capping early as I'd imagine it's intended) - it took me 3 rolls to cap a turret on alderan today, and i got there with plenty of time to stealth up again as a predation group got there after me (and likely reported methikning it must have been a speed hack lol) for Snipers/Gunslingers the 1% health regen buff while in cover (engineering) is completely unnecessary, and their natural crit rating needs to be reduced somewhat so that their dps (in conjunction with their utility) sits more in line with other classes. the roll at 51 should also have a short CD as above and/or possibly be increased in cost - but i absolutely love coming out of it in cover - brilliant although i loathe to admit this; my main being a scoundrel - i think the AOE 8s stun needs to either go or be redesigned - it's far too OP imo Warriors/Knights: The reflect ability returning 100% is too much and should maybe be changed to a 50-50 split between attacker and defender (else burst is getting the shaft too much), but the double saber throw is brilliant and i love the aoe-line effect. Smash/Sweep needs toning down slightly, but maybe only to remove it's ridiculous AOE side-effects for pvp... perhaps it should be changed to a targeted ability instead of activated (without target) whereby the targeted player takes the hit (as is) and everyone else in the AOE affected area gets hit for a nominal amount (e.g. smash hits target for 8k and all other targets in the aoe area for say 3k). Great changes on the tank spec btw, makes it fun and viable Trooper/BH: I feel the lv51 abilities should be swapped - vanguards/PTs have enough utility and survivability (love the changes to kolto overload btw) so the shoulder cannon would be very handy for mercs/mandos; because shutting them down (as casters) really does spell death for them - at least with the shoulder rockets, they'd be able to contribute slightly while chain stunned, and perhaps even be useful in regards to node defending (at a pinch). love the change to kolto bomb. the 51 mando/merc ability electro net is good, but i feel it's more in keeping with the 'up-close-and-personal' style of e.g. pyro/assault and face tanking .. then again there's an argument to say that mandos/mercs need the net too... tough call, what would you give the v/pts instead? pass. additionally i feel as though the mando/mercs should be given back the 35m range on electrocute and the knockback on rocketpunch. i think that might make them actually useful. Lastly well done (FINALLY) for making the ammo system on rep side 100pt. it's so much fairer. Inq/Cons i play a sorcerer (so forgive me for speaking in imp terms) and feel even more squishy now than ever, but i can hit decent numbers if i can hide away and free cast (or dot everyone up the yingyang). one complaint i have is that the 36pt talent for lightning (thundering blast) hits worse than most of my specced lightning strikes and many instand cast abilities for other classes, so i was really disappointed that hasn't scaled up as well as other 'capstone' skills. the 10second invincibility sounds like it's too much, but in reality is a lifesaver (literally!) but also acts as an 8v7 for the duration of it, as they're no longer contributing (which can be a good/bad thing at times). i think was dangerous to add such a move, but effective. assasins on the other hand have gone mental and have far too much going for them at the moment, also being that i spend a lot of time on my sorcerer, assasins and shadows can kills me in 3-4 gcds, 6 if i have some of my CDs up, and i can usually only survive any length of time if i have the invincibility up (in which case generally they disengage and come back 10s later lol). i know as a sorc i'm cloth and i'm supposed to get owned 1-on-1 (and good on those assasins/shadows seeking me out) - but it's too much right now - it's stun strike strike strike dead. also, i am really really struggling without my insta-whirlwind now :-( i miss that!! but hopefully i get readjusted and can work around it going forward that's all i have right now - i'm sure i missed some things, but those were my ramblings/thoughts - i'd be interested if anyone else was thinking along similar/different lines?

PLEASE understand and realise == they aren't going to change anything until ROTHC i'd also bet my house that they will not change smash with ROTHC either (or if they do it'll be such a ridiculous and pointless change that we'll all just want to cry : such as Smash's AOE is reduced to 'only' 3 targets) Just roll a warrior/knight and we can all smash eachother to pieces, and TTK can go through the roof!

    so you think maybe a clean reinstall might fix this? i might give it a go overnight and see if it works (digital download, so it'll take a few hours I guess)

    I know not everyone experiences lag issues in SWTOR, but unfortunately I do, and it's horrendous. It's great for you who say "what lag?" and claim it's a user-end problem, but I can confidently say that's not the case. I've got a very good PC, great graphics card, and a great wired 10MB connection. My ping on every other game is never too high, and I never experience lag in any other game (except LOTRO in the ettenmoors at peak times, but it's playable) I pretty much only play WZs, and I live on my ship unless I'm handing in or collecting dailys (so it's not a Fleet lag issue thing, although this can be quite bad too) - my connection fluctuates wildly between 30ms>1,600 - and recently even higher in Warzones (caught it once at 22,000ms) - and it's gotten to the point that the game is unplayable. That's not to mention times when I get booted for connection errors and failures mid-games - sometimes on rated too - even though my google search works perfectly I play a scoundrel healer at the moment, and sometimes I have to use an ability 5 times before it actually registers and happens, and players jitter and fly accross the screen as if they were speed-hacking or something. I think that I've tried literally everything my end to get this game working to an acceptable level (even taking the background settings on win7 down to it's very basics), but it just doesn't workand I'm just not happy with it. If you have any ideas please let me know because I am at the point of wanting to quit because of it! Many thanks
  13. quite often i'll use DA to slip into stealth during combat, hit up a flechette round, and reopen with a shoot first since 1.52 this doesn't seem to be working 100% of the time, i can't seem to consistently do those 3 in a row - i think maybe of the 15 times i've tried tonight, i've managed about 11. sometimes it's like the target is untargetable, and the shoot first doesn't happen it's definately not a L2P thing, and i was 100% sure i was behind the target and was not popped out of stealth before trying to hit SF... even to the point of literally stalking a sorcerer for 5 or 6 seconds before giving up hitting SF and going for a BB instead. my connection is good at a constant 50ish any ideas? anyone else having this trouble since 1.52?
