  1. I can't find the answer on Google, or on the forum here, so I thought I'd ask: What real-life equivalent accent do the Chiss characters in this game have? It's definitely not the same as the RP English accent most imperial characters have, though it sounds related. It sounds vaguely new zealand-ish to me, but I have my doubts on this guess. Anybody with better ears to identify this accent? (No, this does not include player character accents, since that depends on class I think).
  2. I dunno why people are tanking instead of having Kaliyo tank him, seems a little silly unless your gear happens to be better than hers. I mean, that's pretty much what Kaliyo's for. Also, the part where the tank gets CC'ed requires the non-tank to pay attention... a part better suited to the player IMO. I did it as a healing spec, with Kaliyo tanking (because if Vector were geared enough at that point, I probably would've used him instead... I think it makes more sense to tank if you're using Vector, though if your healing is good enough, you could probably keep him healed and let him tank). From your lack of mention of the platform bug, I will assume you know how to deal with it. But for those who don't, you have to kite him off of the platform to the middle of the room in order to get rid of the 'Cannot see target' bug. You mentioned that scary whirling lightning storm that CC's your companion. When that happens... RUN! He'll come after you and, and he hits HARD! Stun him right away. Also, I didn't think to do it during the fight, but a lot of people have mentioned hiding behind terminals. I would recommend hiding when your stuns have run out. Just stay away from him till Kaliyo gets out of the CC and gets aggro again. Oh, and I think the CC actually heals your companion slightly, or at least does minimal damage. So don't worry about your companion dying while you run like a little ****, they'll be fine. To sum up: 1. Put your companion on passive and kite him off the platform. 2. When he's in the middle of the room, ATTACK! And don't forget to take your companion off of passive. 3. Keep attacking/healing. 4. Scary swirly lighting storm --> companion gets CC'ed 5. Stun him or hide until your companion gets un-CC'ed. 6. Go back to step 3 and repeat until either you or Jadus is dead. Preferably Jadus.
  3. For most of the earlier game, my character's beliefs were basically those of my active companion. Yeah, I'm a terrible RPer. But if I were to restart and play the character differently, I would basically be like Doctor Lokin. I would have taken the path that seems to be the least suicidal option, or picked whatever had more advantages in the end in the long run. If I were to restart, I would basically try to put aside any thought of LS/DS/affection gain, and try to put myself in that situation and think 'Hmm... what would, realistically, be the smart thing to do?' But the thing that I did do more or less consistently: I prefer to try and talk my enemies out of attacking me, since there is no freaking way that my medic could take them down in a one-on-one fight.
  4. No, heavy armor does not make a tank. That just makes a character that can take more hits. That could be the reason why this guy is still alive, that plus a good healer. The ability to hold threat, however, DOES make a tank. I do not think that mercs have any aggro-generating abilities.
  5. I'm already there as Alphabet Soup, and it's got some good threads. Sadly, it's a little dead, and that's why I hang out here instead Hopefully 1.2 can revive it a bit...
  6. Always go for your main stat (cunning, willpower, or aim) over endurance. Your main stat affects the amount of healing you do. So for me, higher cunning means higher base healing. If you're worried about a decrease in survivability, don't worry, now you should be able to keep your health up long enough till someone in your group gets rid of that mob for you (as long as your group knows what they're doing). And your main stat will also affect the amount of damage you do as well, so if you REALLY have to, you can kill weaker mobs more easily. Though that's more of an emergency situation and/or a bad group, since you shouldn't have to worry about killing stuff as a healer. PvP, on the other hand, I'm not too sure about. Though I would still say go for main stat over endurance.
  7. You. Are. Awesome. Now if only other DPS'ers could learn from this.
  8. Summary of the IA storyline from end of act 1 onwards: [after some wild goose chase] IA companion: Something isn't adding up... NPC: Everything you know now? WELL YOU KNOW NOTHING! [shocking revelation] IA: Wut. NPC: Have some tantalizing plot developments. Now onward to the next planet! IA: Uh, sure. [on the next planet, after another wild goose chase] IA companion: Something isn't adding up... New NPC: Everything you know now? WELL YOU KNOW NOTHING! [shocking revelation] [Wash, rinse repeat.] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, it's actually far more interesting than the infinite loop that I've just reduced it to. I like crazy storylines, and the agent storyline is definitely where it's at
  9. Dude. If Lokin were younger, I'd be trying to turn his story into the next Twilight. Vampires ain't got nothin' on this dude.
  10. I guess you could call yourself a pegasister then, though some people consider brony to be unisex. Also, *brohoof*
  11. After a search for the words pony, ponies, My Little Pony, bronies, and brony turned up a depressing lack of [relevant] results, I decided to see where the bronies and pegasisters were at. Invite people to your brony guilds, look for brony guilds, share your art/writing/crafts, share your opinions on who is best pony (Pinkie Pie), do whatever. I just want to know that I'm not alone Oh, and one last thing: we are more than likely to get some haters in this thread. I would rather not see this thread go down in a flame war; that would be a shame. I ask that you all love and tolerate, and don't feed the trolls (I'm on server Zaalbar btw, if there are any brony guilds there. Also, if you like pony art, check out my deviantART: http://alphabetsoup314.deviantart.com).
  12. Definitely Kaliyo. She's got this ****** biker babe vibe. Also, there's some dialogue that more than hints at something going on between her and a former female associate. I'd be disappointed if she wasn't an option. I honestly find Temple slightly annoying, and wouldn't romance her personally. But the fact that I can still give her courting gifts makes me wonder if she was meant to be a same gender option. I suppose she could work, though I haven't gotten through most of her companion quests yet, so I don't know enough about the character to know how believable SGR would be with Temple. I'm not sure if Vector would work for guys. You can't give him courting gifts as a male. Though I'd have to admit, Vector + another guy would be pretty hot, even if it's something that wouldn't fit with the character. (Okay, maybe the rabid slash fangirl in me gives me a bit of bias on the issue....)
  13. Yessssss.... man flesssshhhh Now we need a look that would work well on inquisitors/sages (I have no ulterior motives for wanting this whatsoever... totally innocent )
