  1. We struggled to communicate with the swg devs, too. They also thought they knew what we wanted in the game better than we did. 5.0 does indeed feel a lot like nge.
  2. 1-2 new ops 2-3 new flash points 1-2 new pvp maps 1 new daily area one planet worth of class story content (that's like 2-4 quests per class) all incorporated on a new planet or new area of an existing planet. something new. (strongholds, space combat for example) mid cycle content patch that add onto the basic stuff. another ops, flash point etc.
  3. We had this super awesome and simple system back in the day... You did group: you got currency. You spent this currency on whatever you wanted. You did an ops. Your raid group got guaranteed set item tokens from bosses as well as currency. You had a fixed rewarded for doing content. Then some idiot in the office decided that a tried and true system was too complicated . Too. Effing. Complicated. An RNG system would be "exciting" and definitely get more people to play and enjoy the game. To get addicted to the RNG. No words can describe just how stupid and irresponsible this decision was. If they just left everything as it was and added this RNG layer on as a supplement everything would have been fine. Instead we have a convoluted mess the devs have no idea how to fix.
  4. Bioware devs are under the impression they can do no wrong. The system simply needs some tweaks. It's a classic mistake done by many devs teams in the past. It turns out listening to the people paying you're salary works out better in the end.
  5. Someday Bioware will actually ask us what we want in the game rather than building something and telling us to like it after the fact.
  6. I wouldn't say "cheap" but everything should be within reasonable reach of the average/above average player. The current "platinum" tier doesn't allow this.
  7. Which is incredibly frustrating. Bioware is essentially repeating the same mistakes of prior MMO dev teams from years ago. They could have easily avoided this problem if they had bothered to engage with there audience. Actually asked us what we wanted from the game. Took feedback seriously instead of flippantly referring to a "wall of crazy"
  8. I'm genuinely curious how long it's going to take them to realize Galactic Command isn't worth salvaging. Hopefully before they are forced to shut the servers down this time around.
  9. In a traditional mmo, you get better gear so you can do "harder" content. It taps into our desire to "accomplish" things or to gain "higher status" of some kind. Why does a billionaire need more money? So he can tell the other billionaires he has more money. Look at me I got awesome gear because I am awesome. I'm a really good tank/healer/dps. I was able to get through NIM mode and my gear proves it. Bioware took this idea and threw it out the window. All the recent changes bioware has done to swtor breaks the foundation that makes MMORPGs work. Level sync. Bolster everywhere. No new content for 3 years. Removal of loot tables in exchange for RNG nonsense. etc. Bioware literally just cloned wow without having even a rudimentary understanding of how MMO's worked and never bothered to learn in these 5 years.
  10. TL;DR: Devs still not listening to player feedback. We want the original loot tables back. new group content that justifies the arbitrary increase in level and gear cap
  11. Much better than Force Awakens thats for sure. Still some silly/cringe worthy parts though.
  12. Just got home from watching it.
  13. I'm super excited to hear what kind of PR nonsense they have in store for us this time. Especially if (when) it doesn't address anything we're concerned about.
  14. I like how people completely disregarded this warning and went full force into finding the most efficient means of gaining cxp.
  15. Hopefully you guys are genuinely listening to feedback this time around. We have games like ESO and FF14 that have floundered only to find there footing after launch. Then we have SWTOR. A game that found huge success at launch only to flounder almost immediately afterwards. The difference? ESO and FF14 devs took player feedback into consideration and adapted there games accordingly. SWTOR devs on the other hand have flat out ignored player feedback almost entirely since beta. Swtor has always had so much potential to be a truly great game but it's all been squandered. Either due to mediocre, uninspired content or incompetence.
  16. likes other have said. Make sure your card is dust free. GPU's are designed to remain stable at default clock speeds into the 90's°C. 60-80°C on air at peak load is usually considered normal. My 980ti is sitting at 32°C on AIO water. It's also getting colder in my room...Which reminds me. Check your ambient temps.
  17. For real. The constant nerfs in hopes of fixing your god awful system is getting real old real fast.
  18. Just acknowledge you guys F'd up and revert the system back to how it was. Stop trying to "make it work". Nobody asked for the loot system to be changed. Your playerbase will respect you for it.
  19. ...did you just join the forums, bra? Like have you been under a rock the past week?
  20. They still aren't fixing the RNG loot bug introduced in 5.0 I see.
  21. "My" Revan is still cool. The insufferable douche Bioware created...not so much.
  22. Still no word on when they plan on fixing the RNG loot crate bug
  23. As far as I'm concerned they can keep there GC CXP RNG boxes as is. Just give us back Data crystals, warzone commendations, and gear tokens from op bosses. Pot, meet Kettle. You're basically saying you "deserve" gear you haven't earned. That sounds exactly like what an entitled snowflake would say.
