  1. No it's only a problem for you. It isn't a problem for me, and seeing as sentinel is one of the most popular classes(aside from shadow there are more sentinels online at any given time then other classes on my server) I would surmise it isn't a problem for most people. It will only be a problem for BW if people quit playing the game because it's "too hard" which obviously isn't happening. No one is forcing anyone to buy the game and play sentinel. There is plenty of market for the job the way it is now difficulty and all. As for leves 1-49. The fact is in successful MMOs that last most players spend the majority of their time playing the game at max level on endgame content. It took me a month to get to lv 50 in this game. That's nothing if I play this game for a year. If i'm BW the only way I waste time and resources on balance lv1-49 is if it's egregiously awful, and the way I determine that is by the number of people playing the class, not reading forum posts where the vocal minority pops out, not the satisfied majority that typically doesn't even check forums.
  2. Agree. After getting Doc I breezed through the class missions. Part of that also might have been me being 3-4 levels above my class mission levels due to doing WZs and FPs.
  3. Broken means the class is impossible to play effectively, which is obviously not the case. To say that the class is broken because it is more difficult to play than other classes is ridiculous. No one is forcing you to play sentinel, no one is even forcing you to play the game. If you dont like it dont play it. You aren't the target market for the class. I suppose people have every right to petition for making the class easier to play, but honestly to do that without making the class overpowered is a difficult proposition that would more then likely exacerbate any current balance issues. To the OP I disagree about a few things. Yes Huttball can be very frustrating for sentinels; however, your usefullness in Huttball comes less from your class abilities and more from your knowlege of positioning. If you know when to pass, can be in a position to receive, and use trancendance at the appropriate times, you will be significantly more useful to your team on offense than the players farming for medals. On defense, granted, we dont have the KB ability, but we've got a great snare, and we can kill the ball carrier just as fast as anyone. I don't think the class needs a KB. There is already a ton of CC in this game and I dont think adding more is the right answer. If anything decrease the cooldown on resolute or give the option of decreasing as part of a skill tree ability, but honestly, a well played sentinel is as capable, effective, and rewarding as any other class without any changes. The fact that you see bad sentinels out there is a testament to the skill it takes to be a good one, and thats what balances out the painful aspects of the class. I dont profess to be an amazing sentinel, but I see the possibility and I'm working at it.
  4. I agree with this 100%. Ive played 3 other MMOs(EVE, FFXI, WoW). For me, TOR beats them all simply due to the fact that it has been a very enjoyable game at every level of play, and it doesnt require a significant time commitment to be enjoyable. I'm not in college anymore, I can't spend hours upon hours gaming like back in the day. FFXI probably had the "best" PVE endgame of any MMO ive played. The unforgiving learning curve and difficulty level provided a very unique experience for hardcore gamers. But the time commitment it required to accomplish things like killing the dynamis lord, or taking down Vrtra, or taking a shot at AV, is not something I can ever afford again. SWTOR provides an abundance of story driven content, offers some challenge, the opportunity for teamplay, and you can partake without a significant time comittment. I can see how competitive gamers would be dissapointed with tor endgame. Well I guess I am not a competitive gamer anymore, I'm just looking for fun.
