  1. I haven't noticed that at all. And lag switching wouldn't make you lag, it makes them lag. It's probably something local to you, I'd get an FPS meter and see if you get a dip when that happens.
  2. They're not going to do that. Huttball, OPG and Voidstar would probably never get played, then people who like those maps would complain that they never pop. Plus the game population isn't high enough to support trying to build groups around who is selecting which maps. All they really need to do is implement a system that forces map rotations instead of it being random, and stop releasing huttball variants that nobody wants.
  3. High alacrity is the highest parsing on raid boss fights, so keep that in mind. However like you I prefer high crit, I've done 2k crit and the rest in mastery; my DPS has been very competitive. Around 1800 is the soft cap for crit, but I prefer a touch more personally. I would focus on getting x5 240 accuracy augs first though to avoid accuracy under/overage.
  4. That's been my exp as well. Tonight at least the enemy teams have had insanely high DPS compared to my teams. I started the night DPSing then swapped to heals. Made no difference despite me topping boards each time. My teams ran around like ******* while they swept everything. Idk. I'm just over it. I genuinely don't mind losing even 60-70% of the time, but when it's a hopeless shut out every time I'm done. I recently got back into WoW at my buddies request, and BGs are.... even. Shockingly. I *want* to do SWtoR PvP because I enjoy it more when it's good, but I'm driven to swap over to WoW for good matches.
  5. Its been garbage. I'm talking 3 caps and shut outs match after match. I start each match doing objectives and after getting wrecked because literally nobody is helping I give up and deathmatch like everyone else until we lose. It's incredibly frustrating.
  6. Same as PvE. 1831 crit, 1881 alac + 2 mastery augs. Hit your crit and alac targets before using any mastery augs.
  7. They're squirrely about some stuff. I accidentally deleted over 2k command tokens once and they said "should have been more careful, it's not fair to other players that were more careful while disintegrating if we restore yours". Like, what? Doesn't that apply to any accidentally deleted item? Lmao. Anyways, if they said no in their reply, you're not going to get a different result posting here. It's just a generic line they put in all the turn down replies.
  8. Parsely isn't the end all be all, but essentially what you're saying is, "ignore what hard data we have in favor of my opinion". You can't dismiss veng consistently outperforming dec on parsley because it doesn't suit you. And of course you're going to beat juggs (and most specs) in a burst window assuming you've saved cooldowns.... dec is a front loaded burst spec. It's no reason to claim veng jugg dps is "really weak compared to decep". It simply isn't. I have a 248 jugg and sin that I play/raid on regularly. I'm not just talking out my ***.
  9. o.0 No it isn't. Veng ST is a little higher on dummies, and if you look at any single target boss fights veng jugg top parses are often 1k+ more than dec (excluding saber reflect cheese parses of course) and the average parses trend higher as well.
  10. Whats up with SMARTY recommending about 300 less shield/absorb than what people are saying is optimal here? Why does SMARTY want you to take crit over more DR?
  11. If you're wanting solid raid DPS, veng juggy will give you competitive DPS with an easy rotation and built in AoE. Dec is viable though so if you're leaning towards it, there's no reason not to play it. And I'll say dec sin is probably the most fun melee spec to play in flashpoints with the non stop autocrits and strides.
  12. I have a demanding job, so I often don't get to game much during the week, if at all. So friday nights I settle in after dinner and go until I can't stay awake anymore. One of the few perks of being single with no kids.
  13. It was more firm than I expected considering how thick it is. But I quickly got used to it, and it softened up a good bit in the time since I got it. The best way I would describe sitting on it now is 5 hours go by, and suddenly you think "shouldn't my *** hurt?". Strikes a balance between providing support and comfort that works for me. But everyone is different. Now that I've experienced a higher end gaming chair, I'm willing to shell out more so I'd probably get the Hero. It wasn't out when I bought my ICON, but now that I'm eyeballing it, I kinda want it lmao.
  14. I chose the ICON because it was the best priced one with excellent reviews, with a gas cylinder for my weight. I was 300lb at the time (lost a lot of weight since then ) and it has a 330lb rating. All the other chairs I could find with that capacity were much more expensive. My chair came in immaculate condition barring a missing button on the arm rest. I don't think that's something that happens often with them because of how high quality and well packed it was. I sent them an email and they sent me a whole armrest assembly for free, only proof they wanted was an order number and a picture. Everything fit together easily and the stitching/cushioning was perfect/in place. Probably the best review I can give it is, if broke today, I wouldn't hesitate to get another. It's built like a tank though, it should last me a good long time. I could barely get it up the stairs into my room lmao.
  15. I feel you there. I was using a crappy old task chair for yeeeeeeaars and stupidly didn't associate it with my chronic lower back pain. It finally broke, and I bought a noblechairs ICON. POOF No more back pain. It's like sitting on a fluffy cloud. Clocked 12 hour+ sessions with no sore butt after.
  16. You can get away with muuuuuuuch less if you're not into buying expensive costume items. From a gearing perspective I've gotten 2 toon to full 248 with 236 augs + 240 accu augs, and 2 others to 247 + 236 augs. And I've never had more than ~100mil at any given time. Most of my augs were gotten trading CMTs I got from conquest and boxes. But yeah, starting off from scratch is tough. I came back after 4 years off with about 10mil over all my toons, which used to be a very healthy sum lmao.
  17. MM Hammer Station. Q in as heals, in 246 gear w/ probably a good 100+ HS under my belt. We start to clear the first trash packs, notice damage is extremely low, they're not doing any of the LoS pull standard stuff so it becomes clear they're not familiar with this FP at least (they're all in the same guild). Then I notice the sorc in the group (220) is also healing. Then I see the other DPS (248) using jugg tank abilities. Asked in group if we have 2 tanks and 2 heals, and they go... yep! Being the patient fool I am, I just ignore it until we get to the first boss to see how it goes. It takes over 6min to kill it, and after its dead I ask the sorc and jugg "DPS" to swap to DPS. They grudgingly do it, except for some reason all 3 swap to DPS spec, with the former actual tank proclaiming he was a "sorta tank". He was in 240 tank gear and also a jugg, so I was like whatever, see how it goes. Things are better until we get to the second boss. Knowing they don't know this FP I mark all 3 bosses and tell them the order. Nope. They each attack one, and 4min later none are below 50%. Everyone is taking massive damage because the faux tank is only controlling one of them and the flamethrower boss is having a field day on our stacked up team, the tank eventually dies because I can't keep up over such a long period of huge damage to everyone, and he goes "this is why we need 2 healers". This instantly makes me upset, none if this is my fault, no FP requires 2 healers, and I'm healing my *** off for a group that doesn't seem to have ever done any group PvE content, so I stop healing and point out that it's the almost nonexistent DPS and complete lack of focusing that's the problem. They all get mad that we wiped, and tell me it's not only all my fault, but I also wasted their time and messed up their gear by asking them to switch to 2 DPS and 1 tank. They then tried to votekick me, but I had already teleported out. Idk what I could have done differently. I was polite and respectful, and didn't ask them to do anything but their jobs. Probably the weirdest/worst MM FP I've had so far.
  18. I'm starting to lose my patience. I Qed up tonight thinking I'd have the usual win 1 lose 1 back and forth, But no. 6 huttballs in a row (so far). And every one has featured premades just wrecking everything. I don't mind huttball even though it's usually one sided, but for the love of god, don't make me do huttball after huttball after huttball after huttball. It's literally the worst.
  19. Ah yeah I mostly do regs and solo ranked (because I'm a glutton for punishment). Interesting that engie would see play in granked, maybe I'll have to play around with it and see if I like it. - An example of a burst rotation looks something like this: Laze target > Corrosive Dart > Penetrating Blasts > Sniper Volley > Penetrating Blasts > Followthrough > Target Acquired > Ambush > Followtrhough or takedown if sub 30%. If you take the Snap Shot utility you can get fancy and weave in an instant snipe by exiting and reentering cover after the PB > SV > PB > FT part of the rotation. This will reset ballistic dampers too which is nice.
  20. Unfortunately for you MM is the best overall sniper pvp spec. High burst and rapid target swapping make it excellent. Viri just isn't bursty enough and the long cull and SoS cast times make you very vulnerable to CC. I can't comment on engie as I don't play it, but I don't think I've seen it in any PvP match in a really long time. I use the second alac breakpoint (and usually do pretty well) purely because I also PvE a lot, but ~1100 alac (for energy regen and 1st breakpoint) + crit and mastery is a better choice. For utilities, a solid build would be: Skillful: Ballistic Dampers Vital Regulators Masterful: Seek Cover Evacuate Heroic: Pillbox Sniper Siege Bunker Legendary: Tactical Retreat That leaves you with 1 point to put where you want.
  21. Vet daily reward: 5 UC MM daily reward: 8 UC MM role in need reward: 1 UC (1!) FP Weeklies: 0 UC And keep in mind getting any of these rewards require that you Q for *all* of the FPs, which means you could get a 10min hammer station or a 40min+ wipefest/failure. At least PvP matches are quick win or lose, and you can get hundreds of UCs per week no matter how bad you are by Qing up a few times a night. Don't get me wrong, FPs are easily my favorite thing about this game, and I run 20-30 of them a week. But what I don't understand is why the rewards are so laughably low. FP participation, particularly MM could be drastically improved with a bump in rewards. 1k CXP and 1 UC (again, one, ONE UC) are *not* an incentive for a tank/healer to go "oh this is something I need to do today". I'd like to know what dev sat down and thought 1 UC was a suitable reward for filling the roles the vast majority of people don't want to play.
  22. Might be intended (would be pretty stupid though). Instead of giving 3% + your base 5% for 8%, it’s 3% OF 5% for .15%. Granted even if it was additive instead of multiplicative, 3% defence is about as worthless as .15%.
  23. I do: Skillful: Jet Escape Afterburners Adhesive Supplements Masterful: Power Barrier Heroic: Trauma Regulators Power Overrides Legendary: Kolto Surge Thrill Of The Hunt (mandatory) Power overrrides isn't a common pick it seems, but I really like it. Helps with mobility and burst. If you get caught in a jam, being able to fire off Escan and x2 Rscans while on the move can be a lifesaver. On a 38s CD it's up constantly too. If I find I'm getting focused more for whatever reason I'll switch up my build to include more defensive picks.
  24. It’s simply because the damage increase is higher per point for crit/alac until you’re at/close to DR or your target number. Mastery also doesn’t give surge rating, which is vital to help make your crit rating effective.
  25. I don't really feel like the CXP rate is too low. I came back to the game after a few year break and so far I've leveled 8 toons to CR300 in about 2 months of primarily playing on friday nights and then hitting the weeklies on tuesdays. My assassin so far is CR230 after playing her for 3 days (caught about 5 hours of the double CXP). For anyone who isn't aware, there is a legacy perk that gives you +100% CXP (25% per CR300 unique class) to toons under CR300. Essentially double CXP all the time while leveling. I feel like people don't remember the old days. Gearing used to require many ops/fp runs to max out, now you can get to max tier pretty quickly, and close to in a matter of days. What more do ya'll want? Instant 248 on hitting lvl 70?
