  1. Personally, they should bring back world pvp. I'd love to see some of the hardcore warzone pvpers who run around with a pocket healer being godlike step into the world pvp aspect and get roflstomped like they use to. Back when the cap was 50 and PVP was a lot more fun and less buggy, the dune sea battles were amazing. Always had a challenge, and very rarely I was able to handle 2v1's in world. Now it seems with pvp that tanks can handle 7v1's and its absurd as long as they have a pocket healer. Also, watched a few operatives bug run at the wall in huttball and score. Pretty sad to watch PVP become a source of frustration rather than fun. I'd love to see some balance issues addressed and world pvp make a return. Was a lot of fun back in the day.
  2. As I've seen a lot of topic of discussion on color crystals and crafting, as well as many other things... I understand the change for making it impossible to RE certain set items with set bonuses, as well as certain Artifact equipment... but the one thing that still baffles me to this day is why you guys took away the ability for people to RE the black-blue/red/purple etc color crystals. I'd much rather spend the time gathering the materials to create one of these than to have to pay the absurd over-inflated GTN prices for these items. I realize I can buy one then use it constantly, but really... why would you take that away from the players? That was a form of making credits rather than grinding dailies and VET/MSTR FPs to gain the cash, and force users to do operations to even have a possibility of one dropping? Suggestion: Bring back the ability to RE and learn the patterns for black-xxx color crystals again. I think there are quite a few here on the forums who have complained about it and still there is no answer or rhyme/reason as to why it was removed in the first place... luckily I still have one toon that can make Black-Blue hawkeye but thats about it... I'd rather not drop 5 mil for a color crystal because people feel the need to over-inflate the market based on the fact we cant RE them anymore.
  3. I'm not missing any point. My suggestion was to put a card in at gamestop. I know they already have one and I'm fully aware it's a different pet. However, the suggestion was to put a card in at gamestop that allows you to obtain the pet. Clearly you missed that.
  4. Wal-mart is the ghetto of marketing strategy and incentive. I suggest maybe a card through Gamestop. Not that they're any better since most of their products are over-priced, even for used games. I think SWTOR will continue to lose its player base mainly to the fact that there's not enough content, and there's just repetitive trolling as well as e-peen flexing. Game use to be fun, I've lost my interest as well. Won't be resubbing after my next 60 days die out. FFXIV ARR even in beta has me hooked in comparison to SWTOR. As addicted as I was to this game, it's on its dying breath.
  5. Sounds like my ideal form of a guild member. When you get a chance feel free to send me a message. We are an empire based guild and the environment is definitely relaxed. We all have a good time and enjoy the company of others. Please feel free to shoot me a few tells here and there. Thecreeper - 50 Operative Sotelo - 28 Mercenary Aetherz - 13 Assassin There's 3 of the toons I will be on most of the time. I have many more, but those are the 3 I play the most. Just shoot me a tell and maybe we can have a chat about the possibility of entertaining you to our guild
  6. For a few who are crying like little girls about the changes to healing: I healed EC 16 man last night just fine. Quit crying, it's manageable. I was one who complained about the changes, but rather than unsub like I thought I would, I just got use to it. I agree that we got spanked a little hard for being a good class, but my God, you people are whining left and right and saying "OMG I CANT HEAL" Shut up. You can too. If I can do it in a raid on my sorc, you sure as hell can too. End of discussion on that. As for PVP and other nerfs, please continue on. Healers, stop crying. Your class is still just as viable as it was. Mercs/Smuggs can easily toss you a heal when you need to use consume / noble sac. Stop whinin like you got screwed because in all honesty.... YOU DIDNT GET HIT THAT HARD. So what, consume/ns takes a bit of health now and doesn't reduce your regen rate... big whoop. Learn to play your class again or go reroll and let the pros play this class who know how. GG.
  7. You guys must all do 8 man content because 16 man story mode our tank and melee who were eating the double destruction got spanked. The tank not so much, the two melee got ravaged by it every time. Full Rakata geared as well, and they're getting smashed on. Staying outside of the shields was kind of a funny idea, as the lightning shields were dropping on healers even. I don't think it's limited to the tank. I could be wrong, which in many circumstances I am, but if it was dropping lightning shields on me... I think there's something else going on with the mechanics instead of just the tank staying on the outside of the raid and dropping these pillars around the Stormcaller.
  8. Bump and /signed as well I'm not depicting that this is necessarily the best course of action nor the smartest, but to be honest, I grinded 40 levels of valor all to find out that BM gear had its valor requirement removed. What point did that serve for me? Angered about it, but will get over it. Enjoy.
  9. You're smokin crack dude. I que'd solo earlier and won 4/9 games for my weekly. I've only lost twice so far, and one of those losses was civil war because it was a premade of 4x marauders just ravaging everyone. Queing solo is not a guaranteed loss unless you have crap gear or dont even have the new recruit set you can buy for credits.
  10. I'm happy with the 30 days of free time. That's one less month I have to pay. Marketing scam or not, if you think of it in terms of 1 million subscribers x 15 thats 15 million dollars they are losing this month. I'm fine with the 30 days free. Gives me something to do and less cash I gotta spend. OH SWEET NOW I CAN BUY ANOTHER TWO PACKS OF SMOKES THIS MONTH!
  11. While I see a lot of validity in both arguments here... the truth of the matter is that: A) 20 Commendations =/= Nothing B) Who wants to really waste 15-20 minutes DEPENDING to earn a complete joke for commendations? I certainly dont. I pay 15 a month to play, if it takes me an entire month to get one piece of gear, there's something wrong there. (I'm not saying it does, but really, think about it... some have more time to play than others) C) The increase in medals is a good idea to combat the players who AFK through warzones and get 100 medals for going AFK. While at the same time, this is just another system that ENCOURAGES SOLO PLAY. Why be a team player when I can just rage and bash everyone but still get 4 medals per warzone and earn some commendations? I'll get my 4 medals and go afk (obviously I wont do this, but others may see it as fitting. If the shoe fits, wear it right?) D) Dirtyboxer (I dont care how you spell your name), you have a very skewed sense of awards to players. You are the typical hardcore gamer that fails to recognize that there are casual players out there who like to enjoy the game win or lose. Not sit here and listen to a bunch of players who have the attitudes you have which carry the "win all the time" and "if you lose you just need to fix your mistakes" attitudes. I have some news for you: This game IS NOT about YOU. It is about the COMMUNITY. The community so far disagrees with your posts, I think it would be safe to tell you to just walk away and hang your head in shame or tuck your tail. Otherwise, open your mind genious, because you are preaching to a choir that's apparently heard your sad story more than once. E) While I may disagree with Dirtboxer on a lot, he is DEFINITELY correct. The new Recruit gear is credit-acquired and adds relatively 800 expertise with the entire set minus the relics. That's a good 16% damage boost and you guys are complaining about getting steamrolled. Okay, I understand it isn't battlemaster stuff.... but it's a damn good starting set. Why sit and whine? Just pick that up until you have enough commendations. F) Winners and losers DO NEED TO BE SEPERATED. While losing should give us a 'try harder next time' sense of appreciation, we're not receiving any incentive to even remotely give a squat about the changes made, and henceforth, losing is just another way of saying "heh, here's 20 comms, just afk next time. itll be okay" I don't believe that's a very healthy system. I'm sure plenty of others agree with me. If I'm not going to have any incentive to try.... why try? Yeah, that makes plenty of sense. Rebuttal incoming right? G) Winning shouldn't take place over having fun. While I said in the previous section, winning and losing should be separated, I believe winners should earn more. Sure, you guys won, take the spoils, earn 120-200 comms for all I care... but give the losing team at least 80-100. Or 150 win, 75 lose. That would make a lot more sense. This is a GAME. We should have FUN, not bash our heads against the wall repeatedly until our brain cell count is lower than and old man's testosterone levels. I know I've sat there and used my nose to DPS someone down once. Didn't work out of course, but that's how frustrated I was. H) The game has been balanced quite nicely. While I agree that the Marauder buff was completely unnecessary, I've killed plenty as a Rage specced Juggernaut. If a Marauder is on you and you're a sorc, you had better hope a few people heal you, or you are a lightning spec sorc for the overload root. The balancing has been well thought out, other than a few minor adjustments that are needed. All in all, there are some healthy contributions as far as ideas, but none of you have bothered to try and list any, and instead are reitterating the same points over and over to no avail. You really should try listing ideas, or at that, bullet list something so people have a general consensus to say "yay" or "nay" to so you can go back to the brainstorming board and re-write another one from scratch. It never hurts to post your ideas. Trolls will be trolls, and a douche will be a douche. To each his own, but seriously, dirty, your skewed logic of what is fun is warping the entire community against you. Try expanding your mind a little to see it through the eyes of the people who dont have nearly as much money to upgrade their pc's (me being one of them), and people who have to work for a living instead of being Basement Jedi in their parents house. Your warhammer philosophy of how this works is sadistic and rather just outright sad. I'd like to see YOU come up with some brilliant ideas that balance the idea of winning and losing out, because as it is.... I've won many games, but I agree with the people losing that it's terrible. I also still agree that yes, we should fix our mistakes, but that doesn't mean we should suffer endlessly until we fix one to find 6-8 others. End of story.
  12. First off, to all those crying about the nerfs... Get over it. Prior MMO history would tell you that nerfs, buffs, and changes happen. If you don't know this, then okay. If you do though, /shame on you for thinking any differently. Second, the armor sets are fine. I dont care if they look stupid or not. That doesn't reflect that I'm 100% going to be equipping the halloween type armor, unless its bonuses are reflective to its mother class and are better than current set bonuses. If you want to complain about the armor, please complain about Tionese -> Columi -> Rakata as well, because all of them are absolutely 100% MINOR changes. So a new set that looks like garbage compared to an old set is a welcomed change. For the euro trash talking down on US players.... You're playing a US/Canadian made game and you're going to trash talk? Really? ****. Your redundancy followed from MMO to MMO is ridiculous. You get paid to play video games, just like you did in Half-Life. Fat and lazy imo, get a day job instead of "TIME TO GO TO WORK! /logontoSWTOR." Please, the twinkies dont justify the oversized breasts that make your girlfriend look like a guy. Anyone else want to whine and complain about this? Legacy system: Yes, I agree the legacy system granting force choke to non-force users definitely defeats the idea of an iconic class and storyline to it. This is a method to appease all of those who are pissed off about the Legacy system being absent as is already. No one stated you had to allocate your points if you don't like it. Your choice not to, but by all means, don't cry when you finally cave in and do it, only to find they changed the legacy system around in a different patch. Flashpoint Finder: This is a point I thoroughly agree with. I don't agree with it because I want to skip doing quests. I want it because of the same reasons stated. I don't have nearly as much time as the 16 year old kids who don't even get homework anymore. Education at its finest eh? Not that this matters, but I'm married with 2 kids and a full time college student. In other words, my time is very limited, so hopping on to do a hard mode via an FP finder would be great. I see more people complaining about the patch than actually just sucking it up and dealing with it. QQ, you aren't going to be catered to 24/7. Yes, BioWare may LISTEN to their player community, but that doesn't mean they're going to cater to you just because you don't like something. Get over it and get back to powdering your ******s up with cheeto dust while you grind another toon out to 50. Or you can GETMADBRO, because no one ultimately gives a damn. "And not one f### was given." True story. To sum it all up: Changes are constant, and if you don't like that... /uninstall life because it isn't based on your perception of a 'good game' but rather based on them making changes to keep content rolling out and give us all something else to do rather than the same repeated raid content like in WoW or RIFT. I played both, and after having played RIFT, I see where SWTOR is going with content. It's not only pushing to put more out there to keep the general interest of players occupied with something new to do, they're constantly fixing bugs and updating things. Yeah so what, game isn't perfect. You all compare this to WoW and RIFT all the time, but to be honest.... Vanilla WoW compared to SWTOR was terrible. There were more bugs and more to complain about in world of wusscraft than there is to complain about in SWTOR. This game is fairly balanced, and on the right track. Updates, fixes, suggestions, feedback, etc. Deal with it. You don't like it? Unsub and stop crying like a little girl. We wont miss you.
  13. I'd like to think I use photoshop for more than just my own personal fun time. I'd like to be able to customize my signature versus using the same redundant emoticons and boring smiles. Give us the option for real forum signatures. Signed: Pancakesninja As for SWTOR... damn maintenance! >.<
