  1. Sorry I don't have a fancy name or any car salesman pitch, but I will say that the time and effort spent on this project will be well rewarded if I can help the SWTOR community out by providing a lot of, what became rather essential, tools that we are used to from WoW. That is what SWTORCP is all about. The site has news and a blog about development and ideas. A video can be found on the download page so that you can check out what it looks like before downloading. Do note that when the Game Mode is activated, the client has transparency that you can change and its borders are removed so it's not all in your face like it appears in the video. Damage meters are the first step, then other raid tools to come this month. Either read the news on the home page, or just browse down here and you can find out some ideas. I'd love new ideas, and I will always give credit to anyone who submits any idea that gets implemented. At the close of the first week in beta, I am comfortable releasing the application to the broader public. This application will connect you and your raid members in a group, similar to a chat room, and it will log your data and graph it very similarly to recount. As the developer, I am very open to user feedback and I will respond to every single request or question personally that is made either within the client or from the contact page. Site: http://swtorcombatparser.com Features: Log and analyze data in real time with other users connected to your group. Easy setup - takes about 10 seconds No non-essential data, and you can contact me directly anytime you please about issues or options you would like to see added through the contact form or through the in-game client (in the In-game options tab) Extremely low bandwidth usage. I doubt any other solution will match this. It won't even be a blip on your network. HTTP traffic only - no firewall tampering necessary. For devs or anyone worried about security - as you all should be when downloading something - Source code can be reflected by using Reflector by anyone who would like to do so - the code is not obfuscated Coming up this week: Settings get more automatic/user friendly. No more prompts asking for data that can be gathered automatically from combat log. Parsing on a per-fight basis as opposed to using the "Clear" button Coming up this month: Omen-like warnings Deadly Boss Mods-like warnings that can be configured by the end user
  2. Any luck taking a look at my parser? There were a few critical issues that have been resolved. Hopefully it is now stable. You can look into the blog on my site for more info on what's to come soon.
  3. Thanks! I am working on making a video, and got some raw footage tonight. Need to make one with a whole group, as I'm not very satisfied with this footage. I will get some screeners for you in the next couple days.
  4. Thanks for testing it out. It is setup for automatic updates, so if you want to try it out over the next few days it will patch as soon as you open the program. Let me know how it goes for you if you decide to do so. I am adding an exception handler that will allow me to see the exact exceptions when these occur so that I can front-load a lot of these errors and squash the bugs so we can get moving on to cooler stuff. It seems that common programs may be causing issues with the connection to the server. I am changing the setup installer to work better with 64-bit operating systems, and it'll be tailored to windows versions after XP (it'll still work on XP as well) - we noticed an issue on Windows 8, but yours is the first case of Win7 64-bit having the issues, so I think it's some sort of application conflict and possibly a .NET prereq that I need to determine and validate during install that you have.
  5. Could you please add my real-time parser to the list? I just released the beta download about 10 minutes ago on this page: http://swtorcombatparser.com/download The application graphs data for everyone that is connected to the same room, broadcasting it in real time. No waiting until after the raid, no going to a webpage to view results - it all happens in front of you, it has your AND everyone else's data, and you don't have to go uploading zip files anywhere like on my old solution (NotTheGuild.com) You can create your own room and invite people with the password, similarly to Ventrilo or a chat client. Anyone in the room will see your data as it gets graphed, and vice versa. Once connected, it should feel pretty familiar if you've ever used Recount. Cheers, and enjoy. Please leave feedback in the in-game contact box (on the In-game controls tab) or on the Contact tab of the website.
  6. If anyone would like to help test a real-time, server-driven recount style parser, you can contact me on here or you can send me an in game mail - there are screen shots here: http://nottheguild.com/images/swtor-combat-parser.png http://nottheguild.com/images/swtor-combat-parser-options.jpg The way it works is pretty simple. Similarly to ventrilo, the data goes through a server and is served to everyone in real time. No accounts or anything - just like IRC chat. Basically just sends your log data and broadcasts to others.
  7. Hi all, I've created a real-time combat parser that allows you to connect to channels (similar to Ventrilo, but I'm hosting the connections until it gets too big for my wallet lol) and anyone connected to that channel can see combat data being logged by SWTOR. Features: Connect multiple people at the same time and see graphs as they do damage/heal Easy setup and usage - no unintelligible configuration Password-restricted channels allow only authorized players to enter One-click connect default channel Game View and Full View I am looking for some testers on Windows right now, but I will be making a Mac/Linux version soon for anyone who may be able to test on those platforms. The Windows version will be coming out this week. Here are screen shots: http://www.nottheguild.com/images/swtor-combat-parser.png http://www.nottheguild.com/images/swtor-combat-parser-options.jpg For anyone using my web-based form, I will be supporting it once the desktop application is deployed to all platforms. Until then, efforts are going toward the real-time version. I'll be creating a YouTube video tonight and update this post once it is created. Contact me if you have any questions or suggestions.
