  1. Of course! Why isn't my companion carrying ANYTHING? What am I letting them live for?
  2. the two different perspectives here are very valuable. Thanks for posting!
  3. I think too many people thought "oh, a WoW clone, played it like WoW (zipping through content) and then realised they skipped past the story right to the end. Oh, and in before the "We appreciate the community can be frustrating at times" post and lock.
  4. Fun fact, guys never start any thread, discussion or anything really about male issues. They usually wait until a female issue crops up (breast cancer, etc) before banging on like "NAW BUT GUYZ GET CANCER TOO!" and then expect the women who try to raise awareness of issues that effect them to solve all the male issues before moving on to the female ones.
  5. Yeah... because there are NO female gamers on the forum here.... Also, most of my friends who play Skyrim are women.
  6. There's a lot more female gamers out there than you think. It's just that, unfortunately, we have an environment in gaming where they choose not to reveal themselves in case of harrasment.
  7. I just had to resurrect this thread to post about last night. I'm in LFG, about to run Hammer Station on my female Sith Warrior. As we're waiting, I'm sending my companions on tasks and levelling synthweaving. As I have quite a few mats, an ability to craft a few blues and oranges, I start offering them to the group. First of all, I'm offered thousands of credits, I say it's fine, no biggie, not necesary, then relent to accepting tips. All well and good, in a chatty group of friendly people and they're also sourcing mats for items so I can craft them. Then the instance starts, and everyone is passing on loot saying I can have it, even if it's not for my class and is for their's. I think this is pretty odd and tell them to start rolling need or at least greed. they begin to, but reluctantly (Are you sure you don't have an alt that can use that? It's ok, take it.) I honestly think if it were possible, they would be opening doors for me in the station. I let it go, but then we finish what was really quite a pleasant and easy run. I get whispers from all 3 other players wanting me to "stay with them" "Come quest with me" "I can run you through whatever you need to" etc. Then the penny drops, and I thought of this thread. I wound up telling them all, in party chat, that I had to log and go spend time with my wife. They all quit the group.
  8. Too many people think they're RPing Sith by being rude jerks. Evil isn't rude.
  9. I started doing the Black Talon and a person in my group asked me "Hey, where's your ssecond sabre?" What followed was friendly help, then merciless mocking. I deserved it.
  10. I posted a similar thread a while ago. Let me save you some time. 1. No one from Bioware will respond. 2. You will get people in the same timezone agree with you. 3. You will get even more people, effected by it or not, telling you to get over it/get a life/it's not that important/it's how it is. etc. saying things will never change. FWIW, I completely agree with you and I do think it needs to be addressed, but you're battling complacency and people who feel the need to put you in your place and hint you're acting like you're over entitled.
  11. ...reading any threads where people bang on about why the game doesn't measure up 100%, specifically to their own individual tastes, I'm enjoying the game, it's not perfect but very few games are. Will I post in threads asking what I would like to see? Certainly. Will I think sometimes, "Hey, that wasn't too cool, I wish this was done differently"? Yes, more than likely. Would I expect everyone to agree with my opinion after I flounce off into the sunset declaring I will never play this game again and consider anyone who disagrees to be blind, rabid fanboys? Hell no. Get a grip. I think the game is harmless fun, your mileage may vary, no one cares.
  12. ^ This. I'm really enjoying the game. It's not perfect, but it's certainly very enjoyable and Bioware listen to fan feedback. I'm looking forward to seeing where this will go.
