  1. i see no reason why he SHOULD have the option to decline, if its a part of the story he chose to progress in. OP is not flying off the handle by requesting the option, but the fact that it bothered him/her so much that it altered how he views his fictional companion? thats kind of ridiculous. also, for the people like me who want everything to do with sex irl or in-game could we have the option to always sleep with anyone?. I just wanna be dirty with the entire galaxy:(
  2. although i like the ability to do it, this is true. in this case, its not in the code that youre allowed to do this. its actually an absense of code that allows you to do it. which makes it more along the lines of an unintended exploit.
  3. same with the grade 2 epic luxury fabric. ive ran missions all day and havent gotten a single drop. come to think of it, on my artifice toon, it was very unlikely that i would ever get an epic gemstone drop before grade 6 missions. it seems like all others except grade 6 have ridiculously low drop chances?
  4. i support this mechanic whole-heartedly. theres so few things to do at 50, why get rid of something time-consuming that everyone can do? Everyone has the ability to do this = Balanced
  5. so far i've seen credits and green/blue/purple gear, what else can drop from these?
  6. whoever says world pvp is dead in WoW, go to hillsbrad and attack the town there for a good 10-20 minutes. i bet you a couple 85s will show up to pound you a little. then you bring a couple friends and wreck them back, then they bring friends etc etc. now youve got two raids of lvl 85 players zerging each other in a level 20 zone. that wont happen in swtor, sadly.
  7. i agree with this, and have thought the same myself. it honestly hurts me when i play this game, because i see what could have been a great MMO, even better than WoW ever was. yeah warcraft does have a lot of cool lore and such, but this is STAR WARS! granted, the storylines are amazing, and the voice acting is astounding. did you know this game is the largest entertainment voice over project in existence?? however, despite all its positive feats, it feels like its been released in beta. as of now, i feel like the damage has been done. Bioware has already made ludicrous amounts of money from the launch of this game, and 90% of the posts on these forums are about how bad people think this game is. i feel like new players are probably going to be thrown off by that, and biowares gonna just throw in the towel. but hey, i still have hope for the future of this game. if bioware sticks with it and listens to the community, maybe in the expansion we can have some great world PvP
  8. Believe it or not, I'm not talking about class balance. Class balance is remedied by playing warzones, since teams can have an equal number of OP/UP classes. But how do I remedy warzones? Server only warzones are cool and all, but whats the point if I can't get into a WZ for 45 minutes? Not only that, but I'm lucky if it doesn't end in 2 minutes because of a lack of players. Now I understand why this happens, everyone wants to play as an imperial and what not, and yeah it will probably even out in time, but faction imbalances are RIDICULOUSLY easy to fix! Allow faction transfers for the overpopulated faction of a server, and close it once a certain quota is met. With a tiny bit of work, you will now have fixed a LOT of PvP issues. Another few things: Ilum - edit the map size of the PvP section and make it a LOT smaller. Also, only allow points to be capped in a forward movement (IE no capping your base if the enemy controls the middle) and obviously increase the spawn of the armaments, there should be at least 10 armaments around central, and they should all respawn within a couple minutes. it shouldnt take a week to do a daily. increase the time for the WZ afk timer (AT LEAST for people who just joined). Slow load time + WZ in progress + ****** barrier timing = unavoidable kick also, to add to that, dont put me back at the *********** fleet when i get kicked from a WZ.
  9. +1 happens way too often. my toons just constantly fake casting instant abilities.
  10. +1 why the hell do we need a hotkey to make a ticket? its still not going to be answered for a week and a half...
  11. people say its better with stacks, people say its better with singles. but theres no evidence to support either. the only thing thats observable is that its luck based. you could get new recipes from 3 different singles, or you could go through 10 singles and get nothing. same with stacks.
  12. though it may be frustrating, if you persist long enough you will get it. the only negative thing is that since its such a low level item, youll outlevel it in a day. low level purple items are more of a luxury than a necessity. if you get lucky RE's and get a purple, then crit on a mission and get the supplies, you are granted the luxury of enjoying a very efficient item for a few levels. at 50, the same problem exists, but there is no alternative to it. it also changes from being a probability to an eventuality. you WILL eventually get that really good item, and itll be worth it. the time it takes is the only variable. you just gotta keep going at it until you get results.
  13. to those saying it allows customization, why would i want to customize my stats in a wrong way? no matter what way you spin it, having absorb and surge on the same enhancement is flat out wrong. if you want offensive stats, grab an offensive enhancement. theres no reason to have defensive and offensive stats on the same enhancement, when you can have one for defensive, and one for offensive. its just misleading. new players are probably dumbfounded by the different combinations of stats. even after knowing what each stat does and how effective each is (theorycrafting stat weights and such), seeing all the different combinations made my head spin. you can argue that its not wrong, that its just in-depth customization or whatever, but thats flat-out false. customization is "do i want to hit harder some of the time? or do i want to hit consistantly for the same amount? and what talents do i have that benefit either situation?" http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101frGZIGdZGrRz.1 is that in-depth customization? or just plain ineffective?
  14. now youre bringing in other elements. utility and versatility arent dps, and utility isnt class-specific. hybrids and pures can both have utility, and can be balanced around that. versatility shouldnt be a balancing factor. i cant be a tank and a dps at the same time, so my ability to effectively do one OR the other shouldnt affect my usefulness in a battle when i am one, and not the other. so balance around damage AND utility, buffing/nerfing one or the other to keep balance. but being a pure dps doesnt automatically entitle you to more dps. it entitles you to three different variations of the same job. thats what you picked the class for, right?
  15. this argument is going to exist until the end of time, in any MMO. WoW had the same problem, and they came to a very good solution. DPS should do equal damage to DPS. first off, you dont do less damage than a healer or a tank. you do less than the other dps specced hybrids. this in itself isnt fair, but you also shouldnt be doing MORE damage than any other dps specced hybrid. if marauders are purposely made to do more damage than dps specced juggernauts or sages, there wouldnt be a reason to bring the other dps classes. DPS SHOULD BE EQUAL ACROSS THE BOARD. when you spec dps, you are now dps. equality should be the goal here. and what if there was a hybrid tax? what if you did 5% more damage than other dps specced hybrids, just because youre a pure dps? well congratz on that, but 5% isnt going to make a difference. the only difference it makes is giving you a 5% increase to your e-peen.
  16. Even though it isn't supposed to, retaliation will sometimes trigger the GCD when used on its own, or it might not even activate during the GCD. It isn't occurring all the time, but it is very frequent. I didn't see this on the known issues thread, has anyone else experienced this?
  17. i wanted to actually post a thread about this myself. why the hell is this necessary? granted i can see how they want to give you enhancements for every situation you find yourself in, but we dont need this many. i play a jugg tank, so i focus on defense, shield, and absorb. why would i need 20 different combinations of defensive and offensive stats? why not just make 3 different tank enhancements(defense, shield, absorb), and 4 different melee enhancements (power, surge, crit, accuracy), and only put endurance and one other stat on each? instead of having defense, shield, and absorb spread across 20 different enhancements with useless surge thrown into some, have 3 specialized enhancements with the 3 separate stats (obviously keep the stat weights equal).
  18. currently, im not sure how viable rage spec is, but one thing that irks me about it is how inferior it seems for a jugg compared to a marauder. one would think since its a shared spec, it holds equal value to both. both juggernauts and marauders should get equal use out of speccing rage. but every saber-based ability will hit with the offhand as well, if youre a marauder. so without any damage increasing talents in the rage spec for using one saber instead of two, theres no use for this entire spec as a jugg.
