  1. This really has to be fixed. I reconfigure around every single keybinding to have it the same in all MMO I'm playing so it takes me about 20 minutes per character. That is really not acceptable. You have to fix a way to copy keybindings. The easiest way to you is to move the keybindings from server to client and name each file the name of the character. That way we can copy it ourselves. Pls fix at once. This should be your absolute top priority IMHO.
  2. Super spoiler for Jedi Knight story and Sith Warrior story. Serious warning - this is really a huge spoiler.
  3. Okie, one last time to see if even you can understand it. First of all, let's call it something else, not Bonus since you don't seem to be able to handle that word. Juggernauts don't have a priority COST for Dodge. If it COST you 100 rating to get 1% Shield and 1% Absorb then it will COST you perhaps 300 rating to get 1% Dodge. This means that the COST is too high for dodge and you cannot equip so much Defence gear that it's worth it when you are over 18% because it will COST too much. If you go over 12% Dodge the COST for the Dodge percentage will start to raise to very high levels. If you go over 15% the COST is insane and if you go over 18% the COST is just way too high. If you instead settle for like 13-14% Dodge and raise Shield and Absorb then you get much more out of your Shield and Absorb then you do from the Dodge. Now I am done explaining this to you so any more replies from you will go unanswered, but go ahead if you want to use your shielding Juggernaut as a very weak Assassin tank you are welcome.
  4. Point one - no they don't. As I explained in my post bonus is that you require less rating if you have a bonus. And no, you don't have a bonus to Defence. And no, Defence is not your most important stat as a Jugg. Point two - way to miss the point of my post. *golfclap* You sir, win the price for the most pointless and uninformed post in this thread.
  5. You are waaaaaaaay of base here. You get a Wolksvagen Golf for free and your complaining that you don't get a BMW. There is nothing wrong with their F2P model. It's something very wrong with you though.
  6. Well, the reason is simple. The gear in the expansion is not yet as good as it will be in the end of the expansion, just before a new expansion. If you look at the stat distribution pre 2.0 you could almost not get defence 10%, shield 50% and absorb 50% until you got up to Campain gear (maybe with Black Hole, but I doubt it). Now you need much more rating to get to the same percentage and the gear is just not introduced yet to get you to 15%, 60%, 60% as you should aim for. So something has to be sacrificed. Now, looking at those stats one by one, let's see what they do: Defense, jump away from an attack. Good, avoid the entire attack, but bad if you miss it. You (as a Jugg) have no built in bonus (as the Assassin does) and thus, you don't want to stack to much of this since you will need more and more rating to get higher stat (I don't know the numbers but for argument sake say that you need 1000 rating to get 10%, to get from 10% to 15% you might need 4000 rating MORE on top of the 1000, to then increase it more than 15% you might need 3000 rating per percent, this is why your high defense will eat up other good stats - you simply cannot afford it). Shield, shield an incoming attack and remove some of the damage. Splendid stat, you (as a Jugg) have bonus to it, makes you block an attack and remove some of the damage the attack does to you. The amount of damage removed is equal to ABSORB. Now, since we cannot hit the prime target of 15, 60, 60 we have to sacrifice some stat. Shielding few attacks very much (removing Shield in favor of Absorb) will make the fight very spiky in damage, thus many prefear to stack shield while sacrificing absorb to reduce many (all?) of the incoming attacks a little bit. Absorb, the amount of damage you remove when shielding an attack. Splendid stat, most of it explained above. You have a bonus to this stat. Having a bonus to a tanking stat means that it will require LESS rating to get HIGHER percentage. As you can see from above wasting a HUGE amount of rating to get your Defense up will only hurt your char. You can use the same AMOUNT of rating to get much higher shield and/or absorb. What you also can see above is that absorb is probably worth less than shield, depending on how you count. 0% absorb with 100% shield will make you remove 0% of all incoming attacks, making both shield and absorb completely useless, so you cannot abandon absort completely, but you might want to sacrifice some of it to gain higher shield. For instance 40% shield and 25% absorb seems much better than 25% and 40% absorb since - again - the damage in the second example will be more spiky, if you fail to shield an incoming attack you take full damage but on 25% of the attacks you only take 60% of the total damage the boss deals to you. When better gear comes out within this expansion (remember back in 1.0 there was only Tionese and Columni, maybe even Rakata, but nothing higher than that anyway and then Black Hole, Campain and finally Dread Guard showed up) the rating values will be higher and you will be able to hit 15, 60, 60 in defence, shield and absorb respectively and then you should go for that. But wasting your valuable rating on defence is just that - wasteful. Don't do it. Edit addendum: Alacrity, for a tank? Whut? I find that ... stupid. Edit addendum 2: Of course you should go for SOME defence 0% in defence is bad that too. But 15% is good enough. You don't need more and you need the ratings to other things.
  7. Ok... a few wrongs. Number 1 - never ever ever get more than 18% defense on a juggernaut tank. 10% is good, 12% is very good, 15% is enough more than 15% is a bit wasteful and more than 18% is just total ********. So instantly stop all collecting of Defence. YOU HAVE ENOUGH AND DO NOT WANT MORE. Number 2 - You then want 60% shield and 60% absorption. Some might argue that you need 65% shield and 75% absorbtion but I think it's too much. Anyway, minimum 60% shield AND absorb is the target to go for (and yes, that might be very hard to achieve today since, but try to strive for it). Number 3 - the drops are random. You might have a streak of bad luck, but it is random. I have had days (3-4 FP) where nothing drops but SW Tank drops. The next day only Inquisitor drops. And so on. And so on. I have a huge amount of alts and the drops that I really want on one char usually drop when I am in that instance with another char.
  8. I generally agree with this. Warn once and then kick might be a BIT too fast, it depends on how they appear around this. Since this game auto-targets as soon as your current target dies it's not impossible to target CC/next group/wrong target once or twice during a run. But if he seems stupid and breaks CC then I say warn once then vote kick. In our guild we have the motto "If it's not fun, don't do it". It's not fun to carry someone else and your options are a) vote to kick him and if that fails (or if you don't want to do that) b) leave. Of course, on the flip side of that, friendly and smart people might be extremely fun to carry and help. If people are listening to you and tries to do their best then I gladly carry them. Cause then it's fun.
  9. Section X is not overpopulated. You have to run and search for mobs some times. There is a very clear line where you almost don't have to kill a single extra mob. I would say that section X is perfectly balanced. Makeb on the other hand. Remove 30% of the groups and thin the remaining groups so that you totally remove 50% of the mobs on ALL of Makeb. Then it wont be overpopulated. Makeb is a friggin nightmare.
  10. All of the above is true, BUT - all of the changes that has been made as been made to attract MORE players. And that has been successful. But this change will not draw more people TO the game. It will inspire and motivate players who are already in the game and it will push those hard core people that you want to "live with it" away. Cause they wont live with it. They will leave. You gamble that just cause the other changes has been good this one will too. That gamble is very dangerous.
  11. Please, PLEASE, all nonsense answers - don't write in this thread. I am genually interested and I want to have a constructive discussion about the following: Basic idea: 2 second immunity to all stun/slow/root/pushing/pulling effects after you activate your CC-breaking ability. Good or bad? There is a lot of stuns in the game and I think it's so much that it's a problem. I have seen the BW solution to the problem in 2.2 and I don't really agree with it, but I have been toying with another idea for a long while. What if you got completely immune to all form of CC, slowing and so on effects a while after you activate your CC-breaking ability? Sooooooooooooo many times I have saved my CC-breaker to that JUST RIGHT moment, use it only to have another player CC me miliseconds after I have broken out of CC leaving me completely helpless for the full 4 seconds. My basic idea is 2 seconds immunity which would be removed as soon as you do anything apart from moving. I.e you are allowed to MOVE for those 2 seconds and you cannot be stunned directly after you use your more powerful ability in your arsenal. Another idea is that your immunity is removed when you do ANYTHING (including moving) which would make it more of a "spam CC on that guy"-negator. It's not just enough that 5 people all try to CC one guy at the same time, you actually have to have SOIME skill and see how that guy respond and not just waste all your stunning abilities in a row without actually looking at his respons. I am kinda leaning more against the first idea, that you can move during these 2 seconds, but as soon as you do any form of attack/heal or other ability you can be stunned again. Okie, so, good idea? Bad idea? Why is it a bad idea? Is 2 seconds too much? Too little? Why? Please motivate your answers, I am very curious.
  12. Eh?!? The game ENDS at max level? That's when the game BEGINS... * Dailies. There is a TON of them. Heroics, non-heroics, all over the friggin universe. * PvP. It's super fun! * OPERATIONS (which is like 96% of the entire game - that's the main part of an MMO. * FP * HM FP * Finish special story arcs (this stops pretty quick though. I am talking about extra quests on Hoth and so on) * Space Mission. If you have 2 hours to play each day then ... 4 different packs of dailys AT 2 hours each, All space missions 2h, HM FP two days, Operations 4 days per week, Story arcs 1 day per rotation. That would give you... let's see 4+1+2+4+1 = 12 day rotation meaning that you will not REdo anything more than once every 12 days. And then you have 4 days of operations that is SUPER MEGA fun and the absolute main part of the game. So I still claim that the game STARTS at max level. The part before that is just a prequel to teach you your class.
  13. This has been said so many times before. If you want to do heroics, fp, hm fp, ops or the like with any form of certainty then: JOIN A GUILD!!! You cannot trust PUGs to pop up when you need them.
  14. I agree 100% with what's said above. If you join a PUG be prepared to see the entire cinematics at all times. Anything else is a bonus.
  15. Pre the release of the game they (BW) even said that they already have the continuation already complete.
  16. But... Ok, I absolutely hate the idea of being able to switch AC but let's analyze the responses in this thread: 1 - People will play *more* since they can switch from something they feel is underpowered or are bored with. Yes, possibly, but you will have a HUGE chunk of people quitting outright and I seriously doubt that you will bring in new players. There is a possibility that you will get back some old players that now can try something new if they didn't have the stamina to level up a second char, but I seriously doubt that you will stay on status quo on the amount of people playing the game. It will take a huge hit in subscriptions and CM purchases. It's a fact that many will stop playing, but it's not a fact how many they will gain - so bottom line is that it's a gamble. You know, without a doubt, that you will lose players, same as when they started f2p, but the question is how many they will gain and if the gain will make up for the loss. End result - uncertain, probably a loss of the total money spent on this game. 2 - Guilds will be able to accomplish more if guilds can move people around if someone leaves a guild. Sure, no doubt about it. Tightly knit guilds will be more free to compensate for one person leaving. But they will (due to point 1) probably have a slimmer population to choose from when getting replacements. 3 - Loss of competence. The people that leave will probably be a lot of the elite players. Those who know how to defeat bosses, those who pull raids and those who engage in the game. These people lose most on the possibility of switching AC. This might leave guilds without leaders and PUG raids without anyone knowing how to progress through ops and flashpoints. You cannot compensate everything with more gear. Bottom line is that we know, without a doubt, that it will affect the player base negatively. The question is if the positive influx of players will compensate or not. Do you want to take that chance when it's so super mega easy to just play and alt and the problem is solved?
  17. Weeks. Not months. Leveling a char from 1 to 55 takes 1-3 weeks.
  18. All of what you mention apart from f2p is only apparence. You don't get any form of benefit from those. Concerns about AC swap and the reasons I would instantly quit the game and never look back if it was implemented: 1 - People who don't know their class. I suppose this is rather self explanatory, but I can add that people don't know how to play now, when being allowed to just get handed a char to them that they never played before it's going to be chaos. 2 - FotM This will affect the game in some way. Not major which we have seen in other posts in this thread but enough for me to want to quit. 3 - Intelligent players and BW standing up for what they have said to us It's **CLEARLY** stated when you choose that this is a permanent choice and you will not be able to change. If you actually back down on that they will give in to stupid people who cannot read and accept what they have read. The other part of this is BW actually living up to the "permanent" choice that they claim that it is. 4 - Lazy players I hate people wanted stuff handed to them in MMO. I want *much* harder MMO with *much* more work involved to get somewhere. I come from WoW 1.x where you had no way of summoning people to an instance, no group finder and no world chat-lines. You HAD TO travel to an area, all of you, to enter an instance. That's fun! That puts demands on players. This "I wanna enter an instance give it to me now at once without having to lift a finger" attitude is just worthless in my opinion and this would be the final straw. 5 - Egoism I have 14 chars at 50+, 12 of them is 55. I have leveled up some of those chars ONLY cause you cannot change AC and I would feel cheated if someone else could do it "just like that". Yes, this is the least important part and the part that I am least proud of. But I have to face reality and admit that this is part of the reason I would quit if they implemented it. I wish this reason was not on the list, but unfortunately, the human race has egoism built into it at such a basic level that this actually is a reason, no matter how much I hate the fact. The thing I could accept is 500 CC as a switch cost with 24 h cooldown and a maximum level of 20 on the char that does it. Then you can swap if you make a mistake on low level, but never on higher level - never ever. I would stop playing the game 2 seconds after this was announced and never look back.
  19. Thanks for the pic. I would love it in game. Especially if they could get the cape to flow the way it does in the picture from the headpiece just onwards to the cape. That would be totally awesome.
  20. Do you have a picture of it somewhere?
  21. It's a terrible idea. You need to roll an alt to get another AC. Why would you even want to do it? Say you switch from Juggernaut to Maurauder. *ALL* your wearable gear would be useless since Maurauder cannot use Heavy Armour. Is that... fun? And besides it would allow very strange possibilities. Think: I play an Assassin up to 55 so I can sneak between mobs and then I swap to my Sorcerer which cannot sneak but I can play coolishly in Ops?!?!? *IF* they come out with it, I'm otta here. Then the game is ruined. Seriously...
  22. Agreed. That helmet is horrrrrible. Isch.
