  1. a·chieve·ment: Noun: 1. A thing done successfully, typically by effort, courage, or skill. 2. The process or fact of achieving something. Nothing in that definition states that an achievement must be something accomplished in the physical world. I realize what you are trying to convey but your statement is incorrect. Also another note, 'waste of time' is a completely subjective statement. What each individual considers to be a waste of time may vary, and as all things in life serve no purpose other than our own fulfillment, if one enjoys playing a video game and it achieves said fulfillment it is no more a 'waste of time' than any other activity.
  2. PTS is its own server therefor has 8 char slots, also each live server has 8 char slots, not sure if you were aware just because of the way your statements are worded.
  3. George Lucas does not consider anything outside the movies cannon and no where in the movies does it state this one way or the other. If anything, if you were to extrapolate, the fact only sith used read and only jedi used Green/blue cannon is on the side of no...just saying.
  4. Based on the fact that this issue is not limited to Twi'leks I would say the reason is not at all tied into a lore decision but a technical limitation that you are attempting to disguise as a lore decision. If it was a lore decision why not have the models change to something more suitable for a Twi'lek like a head band or a helmet that suits them better? It's a clipping issue plain and simple they do not have proper (or any) detection on the models to account for the Twi'lek head or any other alien head that is not human shaped, that is why any companion that is not human can't display helmets and its also why we only have multicolored humans and no 'real' alien species, sad but true.
  5. ^ This. I love the game but the clipping issues TOR has are beyond ridiculous. Its not just Twi'lek's that have the problem its all over the place, clipping through armor, hoods, speeders the environment, just about everywhere something could possibly clip it does. From a purely aesthetics point of view it destroys immersion more than anything else for me, hell I can take the load screens and other issues. I'm not saying I don't expect any clipping at all but its is a bit much in this game (more so than any game I can think of). BW need to fix these issues if we are going to see any other races that are not humans with face paint. Also would like to see the ability for a lot more of the companions to wear helms and that fits right in here.
  6. Yeah do these people read what they are posting lol, by the time SWTOR is a year deep they will have all of those things so argument is moot.
  7. While I agree I highly doubt they will bring the restriction back, too many people whined.
  8. Yeah TES is a great series but has never been know to be bug free lol, I am excited to see more about this but would not get my hopes up as it is very likely to be full of bugs from release and as stated likely to have balance issues based solely on the fact they have ZERO experience in multilayer let alone that of a massive nature.
  9. Don't mean to burst your bubble but I'm pretty sure he pulled most of that out of he you know where, until we get more official word I would never trust speculation.
  10. Not sure why you people (not sure how else to word that so no offense) keep ignoring one simple fact, you do not have to do anything like what you have mentioned. If you can't spend everyday in the game doing daily's and other things to earn credits, do what you can or want to and wait for it... SAVE THE MONEY its not going anywhere. Sorry for the caps but if you don't have the time to earn the money quickly it will simply take you longer, why should you get there as quick as people that put in more time? You do not NEED any of the things people have talked about in this thread, they are all WANTS. Plain and simple, if you cant spend as much time earning credits it will just take longer but you can still get there. Please stop acting like because you can't spend 10 hours a day in the game you can never get these things.
  11. Work: Activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result. I hate to break it to you but ALL games require work. Perhaps I should have used the word 'effort' in place of 'work' as you seem to think I am referring to work as in your 'job' which requires 'work' but may not be enjoyable . To clarify the point of my post, for some people fun and enjoyment come from earning reward, not just having it handed to them. If there is nothing in the game for people to work towards, ops sorry 'put effort into', they will tire of the 'game' and move on, which in a subscription model is death. I'm sorry if you can't grasp this concept but it is the answer to the question that this thread posed, if you chose to accept that or not it changes nothing. You will never be handed everything without putting in some work/effort because if you were, you would just move on when that fleeting joy ended (usually after the oh its shiny factor ends). By having to work to gain reward it makes the reward more enjoyable because you know how much work/time/effort it took.
  12. Just an FYI you CAN doge in DCUO its called roll. IMHO DCUO has the best combat out of any MMO, with physics and combat interactions it was very well done. Just sad the game was made by SOE who run anything they are given into the ground
  13. ^ This. Games should be about effort and reward, so many 'gamers' these days want all the reward with as little effort as possible, perhaps movies would be a better suit for them. You get all the pretty cinematics and explosions and you can just sit down and do next to no work ;D. The answer to this whine is simple, if you don't want to put in the work you don't get all the rewards, welcome to reality where those who put in more work get more reward, this isn't "happy fun land where everyone is equal and gets all the same stuff", and I'm glad it isn't because that would be boring. This game already gives almost everything to you with very little effort, there are a couple of things you have to put a little bit of work in to and you complain, there really is no helping some people.
  14. I think anything anyone posts will just be conjecture and speculation, I realize that to some degree this is what you are after but I fail to see what that achieves. I could say $10 and that would make it no closer to the truth than someone saying 10c.
  15. As I have said arguing this will change nothing, you even agreed with me in your above post "Pay to win means whatever you are buying is giving you an advantage". Regardless of how much you feel the items offered give an advantage, on an even playing field the DO give an advantage, therefor as I said before, you are arguing a moot point. This will be my last post on the matter because if you still don't get it, you never will. In regards to your point about the term fan boy/boi, again I stated that I hate the term but that is indeed what you are appearing as (whether intended or not) because you are ignoring the facts and continuing to blindly argue against the facts in an attempt to further your point.
